On our way to Neerim south to stay at a friend's place for the long weekend. Had to pull over to check on my horse in the float and noticed I was 277m away from a geocache. Well it would be rude to be this close and not go find it! A quick find and signed the soggy loggy. One of its securing measures is broken but it seems to be holding in there OK for now. Back on the road with my equine besty! Thanks for the cache
Cache was found after a short search. Thanks for the fun. Cleaning up Victoria with gridge98. We are on a mission this week. Completing twenty finds in Mexican local government areas is the challenge. Another find with the correct criteria. It is in Victoria and we have not accumalated twenty finds in this local government area.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Thor's day the seventeenth day of the octavus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit windy today. It was so windy today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. A quick jump over the fence and the cache was soon in hand hereTravelling around Victoria with Freddo for a week finding caches as we go. With two challenges on our radar we were in full force. All logs signed with our names or F+g98 for the smaller caches. Thanks for the cache
The forecast was for a pleasant sunny spring day... perfect for a drive... and more particularly, a drive to Baw Baw Shire to find some caches to help a challenge or three along towards completion. An early start is a good one so I detoured off the highway and into Longwarry for the caches there... and a visit to the bakery. As it was mid week there was no sport on the oval so I had an easy and undisturbed time finding this cache and signing the log. Thanks **trickytracey** for putting this one out to be found.
CACHING WITH FRIED LEMON Found on ground had no log. Put in paper for a log and placed back in obvious spot TFTC.
Couldnt find the cache but we saw a bandicoot! cute and fun search which we plan on completing another time!
Pretty easy find. Tried to get the logbook out and eventually discovered that there was no logbook! Oh well. Tftc

Pit stop on the way home. Went for a short stroll to locate this cache.Log signed but it is currently very damp and fragile,
With Hunter today and while dodging a Dog walker we knocked this one out pretty quick ..DAMP under foot at the timeTftc ????????
With the Great Race finished for another year, I had the afternoon free. When Toolman asked who wanted to join a 'Horse Adventure' on Melbourne Cup Day, I just had to say yes.
After finishing that Adventure, we had enough time for 1 more geocache and Toolman suggested this one that we both hadn't found. Parked and enjoyed strolling along the whole trail before heading back to the GZ and Toolman quickly found it. As mentioned, log is soaked.
Thanks for the cache Tricky Tracey

I am visiting from Tasmania, and on my way to Warragul. Then I saw this cache, and just had to do this one! I love bandicoots. My son, who’s housesitting my place sent me this photo just yesterday. Yes, feeling blesses with an Eastern barred bandicoot in the backyard! Thanks for the cache!!

A very interesting day in what some people call the outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne! We worked on collecting more senior karate belts, searched for bunyips around billabongs, remembered the fallen who had served our country in wars past and tried hard not to be side tracked by those interesting old stations.
No bandicoots but a very neat little cache, gets a FP from us today.
Thanks to trickytracey for placing caches in interesting locations.

After a road trip to Sydney in the last few days to find a golden dragon, I also finally had Australia's oldest cache found so I needed a cache placed in June to qualify for a Jasmer challenge I had signed in SA last year so headed out along the highway with my geokid to get sidetracked with a few of the new caches along the railway line.
Great day to come here with no game going on. Managed to park right where we wanted and after a short walk the cache was soon found.
Thanks trickytracey for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

bit more than two steps off the path, but once in the right spot, no trouble finding it. tftc!
Bandicoots are so cute. I have only ever seen them in zoos and wildlife shelters. I really hope they survive and do not become extinct. The cache was found after a short search.
Out with and about withy echidna44 and Boab Tree clearing out the last of the AUSLAN series and picking up others along the way. Drove round the oval and parked, with a short walk were were at GZ. This blended in very well but Boab soon had it in hand. Cache in good condition. Thanks for the cache trickytracey
Out with xambo4u and BoabTree we returned today to complete the Auslan puzzle series and other caches in the Garfield area.
A short walk and a sharp eye soon had us signing the log. Beautifully camouflaged cache. Thanks trickytracey

didn't realise i'd need premium for this one - narrowed down the location as best as i could but DNF
I love that geocaching leads me to places I haven’t found before - like this little trail. It took me a little while to find this little cache - it blended in nicely - but find it I did. Thank you for the cache!

Out caching today before an event for my other hobby today out in Morwell. So decided to get up early and smash out some caches on the way up before the rain comes in in the afternoon. Got a handful done all in all with not DNF's, even got a new LGA and won the tournament in Morwell....win win I think, thanks for the cache.

Tftc TrickyTracey. One at Garfield, two at Bunyip and one here at Longworth for good measure. A fine hour's hunting.
We have had a very interesting start to 2021, but unfortunately that didn’t include the opportunity to do much starting. On New Years Eve we started the celebrations early while we were staying with our son and his family in Tumut NSW. We had a lovely day with a picnic and lots of fun with our grandkids in a local river, but on the way back to our sons place we heard that Victoria was about to close the border to anyone returning from NSW, so if we didn’t want to spend 2 weeks in quarantine we need to reach the Albury/Wodonga border before midnight. A quick scramble with us, our daughter and her family of 4 plus our 2 grandsons who were spending a few weeks with us for the school holidays and we made it with plenty of time to spare. A bonus was that we beat the exodus from further north and had very little delay at Checkpoint Charlie. We got to ring in the new year somewhere between Yea and Healesville and finally made it home around 2:30am. The following three weeks we had grandkids staying with us, and the boys are too young to enjoy long days caching, so now we are finally able to get out and about.
The temp is mild, there’s clouds in the sky but the wind is stopping this from being a great day for caching. Straightforward find could have been tough but we were lucky to spot it quickly

Accompanied with crank1 for the day around in Koo Wee Rup. Easy to find. Thanks trickytracey for placing it
Thought I'd check up on this one as it hadn't had any logs for a while. Unfortunately the cache was nowhere to be seen, so I replaced it with a new one. Same spot.
Amazing how water gets in - lucky my pen can write on soggy paper! TFTC and the distraction from the days mission!
04/08/2019 - 12.45 pm - No. 1030 - 1st of 3 finds for the day - with Non-geo-son as driver & 2 non-geo-granddaughters on a day that included Longwarry Market & time for Pokemon/Ingress for him & Geocaching for me.
We headed out early for the market before we wended our way home. The weather was cool but we were lucky that it didn't rain on us.
NGS had to stop to do his Pokemon bit & so the girls & I wandered on to gz after they did some mountain goat type bits on some grass covered mounds. Thought I was in for some trouble when I noticed some nearby timber clearing but all was good. Found, signed & returned as found. Then had to retreive & correct the date... yeah I forgot what month it was, may even have managed to get some unloved points if the date on the previous log was correct. Girls liked the small bright green caterpiller I picked up on my sleeve during the 2nd retrieval & return. Thanks for the cache.

This cache has a favourite point from me due to the adventure attached to it. My husband is a muggle through and through - he normally refuses to cache with me or let me cache when we are together, or on the rare occasion he does let me play in his presence I'm allowed approximately 60 seconds to get the find, or I'm logging a DNF!
For some reason today, he suggested we geocache! The short walk was lovely. Our GPS was going everywhere and as we were looking in completely the wrong location we found two beautiful tawny frogmouth owls just a metre away from where we were standing.
I had actually given up the search, when mugglehubby insisted in just searching one more spot... and of course he got it! Isn't it typical that the newbies or the muggles always get the find
Thank you for our lovely little adventure!

In the area visiting friends when we mentioned going to grab a cache nearby, they mentioned they had been but couldn’t find so asked to come with. so off we went and cache was quickly spotted, funnily enough by the friend.
Saw it strait away. Had to come two times first time fail second time came with a friend and found it immediately RJCJ
After spending time and the Garden Expo at Lardiners Park this morning, we always like to take the roads less travelled on our journey home. S and I departed the geo-loppy and proceeded to stroll towards the cache. The area was very quiet today, unlike the finals week where nearly every blade of flat grass was shaded by a vehicle of some description. Leaving this cache alone that day was a wise move. At GZ we stopped and assessed the area, planning in our minds all of the possible hides and sorting them from most to least obvious. With the mental list set, it was time to start ticking them off one by one. "Found It" I yelled as I got to number three on my list and with that the list just dissolved from my memory. S stood guard as I carefully added our name to the log and returned the cache safely to its hide. Job well done, now where did we leave the car? TNLNSL. TFTC. KKamS

While one my way to attend an event in Traralgon, I hit the not so main roads to find a few caches along the way.
I went for a bit of a walk to this one but once at GZ it was only a short search before the log was signed and I was on my way back to the car.
**Thanks to trickytracey for placing this cache.**

A nice walk after finding a parking spot, be nice to see a Bandicoot. Thanks for showing me this location and thanks for the cache.
Away for the weekend wtith omegaman and Happy pants, cleaning up some in the Drouin area, signing the logs under the team name HHO. Stopping to grab some finds as we start to head towards home.
It was a nice morning for a walk, so wandered in to this one but didn't come across any bandicoots along the way. Once at GZ, the hide was found after a short search.
Thanks trickytracey for bringing us here and placing the cache for us to find.

I've had my eye on this one for a while being just or if my usual work zone but today I was within a few by hundred meters at morning tea time so took the opportunity to do the walk and find the cache on the way. Didn't see any bandicoots but plenty of signs of their presence. Thanks trickytracey
First visit to Longwarry for me.
A nice stroll down the path, some kind of sports activity was being played close by.
Cache was found and signed before anyone could see me.
Thanks trickytracey

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work.

After spending some time at the local Sunday market, I noticed that this one was nearby and knew we had to get it. A nice little wander and I overshot the mark. After reading the clue, this one was snaffled by Miss 10. Thank you!
Today I was heading back to Melbourne airport from Warragul and had time to find a few caches along the way. The last few days had been very moderate in temperature but today Victoria turned up the thermostat and I think it hit about 36C. I managed to survive the heat and not encounter any dangerous critters as well. All good here, found after a short search. Nice hide. TFTC, Biggles.
Today we explored Longwarry and surrounds using Geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. An easy find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

After a family get together at Jinks Creek Winery at Tonimbuk we headed to Longwarry to look at real estate. What a pretty place. Last time we intended to look for this cache there was a scrub fire and we couldn't access the bush walk. Today, although pretty warm, we enjoyed the walk to the cache. Thanks for well hidden cache trickytracey
#1981 The final find for the day and another nice stretch of the legs following the trail around to gz. Nice to learn a little more about the little furry friend by reading the signs along the way, amazing that they can survive in an area where their habitat has been largely removed. TFTC tricktracey
Raemoz found it. A pleasant walk along Bandicoot trail. No sign of them but plenty of evidence they are around. TFTC
Love these hides. Tftc. Found while miss 3 played in the park. I can get away with geocaching more when hides are somewhat near a playground. Thanks.
Nice little hide while at kids Auskick presentation. Me and geokid10 went for a walk. TFTC
A quick find as we parked at the footy oval. The footy was finished for the day, so no one wondered what we were doing. Thanks for showing us this little piece of reserveland and for the hide.
For the first time in ages, picked the best place to park. Getting dark and quite cold so was pleased that after a short stroll, a well placed natural tool made the retrieval easier for Petal. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Almost at the end of our day as the daylight was fading and we still had a couple more planned caches to get here in Longwarry. A stroll along the path soon had this one in hand, even for a short person it was manageable.
Thanks for the placement trickytracey.

Enjoy the pleasant walk to GZ on a cold Sunday afternoon to make the easy find. The whole time we kept our eyes open in the hope we might spot a bandicoot... Probably the wrong time of day though.
