As this cache has been out of action for too long and the cache owner has not responded or performed any maintenance, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to un-archive it.

After checking with a previous finder, it appears I did check the correct place (in addition to other nooks amongst the awful agapanthus). My search was fairly widespread too so it probably hasn't just fallen out of its perch. Owner check and re-evaluation may be needed.
Didn't find but son was over it so we may return another day. A hint would be good
Visiting caches after amazing WoW weekend. Found most sought, but missed out here! Thank you.
Walked the path between Queen St and Chapel St and spotted the likely hide. Being the Anniversary Day holiday, the place was like a ghost town so plenty of opportunity to search. GPS reception was strong but the co-ords seemed a bit at odds with the obvious GZ so I rummaged (gently) where indicated in the rather derelict garden - evil agapanthus specimens being the last to cling to life here suffering the effects of drought and lack of maintenance.
I think it's most likely this cache has gone.

What a gem of a small park area to sit and have llunch in the quiet and the shade. Just loved the area Thank you so much for bringing us here.
I wasn't sure whether I was supposed to wander through the UCOL side, especially when there were signs about security cameras. I think the safest and easiest approach is from the West.
A quick find in the obvious place.
TFTC.

Thanks for bringing me to this historical location and for the info on the cache page. Quite a bold hide, took me a minute to click as to the obvious location! TFTC mummykins44, #7422
I spent the evening driving around Masterton picking up a handful of caches before getting some dinner. A quick find here while all was quiet on a Sunday evening. TFTC!
Lovely place. Log full will need replacing please. Sorry didn't have any with us.
Nice walkway. I wonder where the bridge to nowhere once went? Found a picnic table for lunch. TFTC
In Masterton for the day and decided to add some caches to the 'to-do' list. Found by Jr. Cacher #3 after a bit of a search. TFTC.
Found as part of my quest to complete GC572GM 100, 10, 7 Challenge Cache. Last find of the day number 29, not bad for 3 hours caching. TFTC
#5929. Interesting history. Fortunately the place was quiet when we visited. TNLNSL. TFTC.
At wairarapa REAP for a day course, out of curiosity I searched to see if there where any caches nearby and viola! One just across the stream. Great little find cache in good condition just a wee bit damp. Cheers for the find.
Quick find late afternoon while over for the Douglas Villa Football Tournament. Our team is due to play Sunday. TFTC
A day over the Wairarapa and collecting a few caches along the way.
Relatively quick find in a pretty area. Thanks for the interesting history and TFTC

Find #2025. Out on the bike on a super sunny Wairarapa day, the Tararua range brilliant with fresh snow. This was somewhere I'd never been before and didn't know about. Thankfully quiet. SL TFTC

Spending a bit of time in the area so decided to clean up a few new Masterton caches. This one was a quick find in the first place checked although like others the GPSr was pointing me a little away from the true location. Signed log, TFTC
Nice wee fountain and a well hidden cache, thanks for showing us this location at the UCOL, TFTC.
My 56th cache! Very easy find, campus grounds were closed though so had to sneak over the barrier Thanks for this.
In the area for the long weekend to tidy up some out of the way caches, we had some good fun cruising around the countryside

Another day of interesting caching in the Wairarapa. With a good weather forecast we decided to err on the adventurous side.
This is a place that has meaning for me, and one wonders why a cache has not popped up here before.
Cache find was straightforward; cache in order; log signed, safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Found this one at night time and see our mate TWS is/was also down in the area at the moment. Nice quick find with Pagenz. TFTC
Just enough time for one more quick cache before the rugby. This one was quite close to where we were staying.
Left a pet rock - a zebra. TFTC
