Time to archive this one for a couple of reasons. I love this spot, one of my favourite places from my childhood, however it's had its time.
Heading to Ballarat via the backroads and stopped here to find another well hidden cache Thanks strange quark1
Very smart little spot, great little one to finish of our day of Geocaching. Thanks for the cache.
Thank you for the great cache notes, they are very interesting. The co-ords are good which made for an easy find. SL TFTC
Welcome back from Covid. If there are issues with the cache after the length of time in situ please message me.
Due to a rise in Covid-19 I have made a conscious decision not to undertake cache maintenance as I feel that it doesn’t fit one of the reasons for being out during this pandemic. As I work in Melbourne in an emergency service but live regional I will not be putting myself or my community at risk.
I therefore am disabling all of my physical caches for the time being. The caches them self will be left in situ.
I won’t be deleting logs or anything like that and I intend to enable them again once I feel that my safety or that of my community won’t be put at risk.
I apologise for the inconvenience.

With another leap day upon us we had done lots of different caches types and sizes last leap day so this year I decided to attend lots of events and to also help me build up my CITO count. A lot of driving today but the weather was great and managed to get to all 7 events in the day that I planned to.
After the events on the way home there was suddenly road works so we got off the exit and took these nice back roads for a little while.
Had to wait for a farmer closing his gates nearby but then I found the nice little cache in the 3rd place I looked.
Thanks strange quark1 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Spiffy- had many plans for leap day and attending as many events as possible was the key plan. His dedication saw him attend 7 events in 1 day.
A muggle mowing his lawn had to be stealthily avoided but a quick find was made.

TFTC. We had attended the Ballan Birthday Bash and were making our way home to Maryborough. We had planned our route via the back road to find as many of the caches along the way as possible.
A quick park and grab.

Found a little container which was SPRUNG hiding near the spring, signed log and replaced, Thanks strange quark1, all is in good condition here today
Today we found Green's Spring on our travels. An interesting piece of history which explains why there is such a lush patch of green here.
Thanks strange quark1 for being part of our geocaching fun.

I was heading towards Ballan for the birthday event and was taking the back roads to get here.
Nice and quiet on the roads and I was wondering about the standpipes I saw then the cache description explained it all.
Found in the second place I looked.

Found It......On our way home we decided to grab a couple of caches. After making our way to GZ a quick search soon had the container in our hands and with the log signed we continued our journey homeward. Thanks Team strange quark1 for bringing us here
On my way to Goolwa SA for a 7 Day Fishing trip with my brothers, decided to come a day earlier so I could do some caching of opposite side of city as I from Warragul. Just got cache out and was signing log and the local police lady pulled up and asked what I was doing so I said Geocaching and she said what was that, so I explained it to her and she said cool. Sl thanks for the cache

One of the great things about caching is it takes you to places you never would have known about without it - this is a perfect example, I would have driven straight past if this cache wasn't here.
There are many hiding places at GZ and with the long grass this could have been quite tricky, but I was fortunate and found the cache in the third place I looked. After signing and replacing the cache I wandered over to the bridge to have a look. My thanks to strange quark1 for highlighting this important piece of community infrastructure.

This cache was located at a good spot with an interesting history and idyllic location. Safe parking is always a bonus for a drive-by Cache. Lambs in the paddock over the road added to the entertainment.
The cache was a smash challenge, but fairly easily found in the end. It was just a case of eliminating the possibilities of where the cache could be hidden.
We also investigated the pipe stand and plaque. The cache page information was much more informative.

Based on the hint it's in the wrong spot, but half the hint is right. Returned to where I found it. Tftc
After catching up with Claybol, Virbull and jtnsilo to finish off a nearby mystery cache, i headed east to find a few caches in the countryside while the Autumn weather was sunny and mild.
Your right, the water tasted great! Oh, and the cache was still there in good condition too!
Thx strange quark1 for showing this area to me, if it wasn't so far from home I'd fill my water bottle here more often! Great cache notes too, cheers.

DAB and I had planned a day out caching around the Ballarat / Creswick area. We met early with our geo wheels packed with snacks and plenty of drinks on board and set off to enjoy another brilliant, fun day, exploring new areas. On our way home we stopped here made a quick find on this well tucked away cache. Signed and returned as found.

Today I headed to Ballarat to attend the Yarrowee River CITO, with the expectation to do some caching afterwards. After the CITO I headed to try to finish the Symbol Series, then cached my way towards home. This is an interesting place, and I enjoyed the write up. Found the cache nice and easily. I also headed up the road to check out the old house - it's in a very sad state.
My thanks to strange quark1 for the cache and for showing me this place.

A quick and easy find as we wend our way to Ballarat, caching as we go. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
This was our 3rd find for the day, another quick and easy one which keeps the geokid happy! Across the road there was some friendly sheep and then a friendly farmer come along.

Found on a long weekend in June when we traveled from Bendigo to Melbourne for a Birthday Party, stayed the night in a Budget Hotel in St Kilda - then onto Ballarat to see the Earthcache apprentice at FU and then home to Bendigo. We only had the time for a few caches today but we took a detour to collect the 3 caches in Millbrook.

This cache was on my list of must do's today on my way to the two Ballarat events on this cold and wet day.
From memory I have not been along this road before but it was a pleasant drive through here.
The cache was located exactly where you would expect it to be and in good condition.

This one was found without issue and all was good. Thanks for the cache. Neat hide.

A well concealed hide. The history here is very interesting. Drove around the "block" and viewed the old house amongst the trees. Great.
The problem with reading cache notes when you get home is that you find out you should have had a better look around when you where at GZ. However, it will mean we have to come back. Thanks for bringing us here and for the hide.

There can be no better reason to venture out on a Sunday, than the announcement of a triple celebration of geo-birthdays, in Ballan.
After the candles were blown out we were able to spring upon a smilie or two, on the way home. We really enjoyed reading the interesting information in the cache notes. We liked the way this one has been put together, so have awarded a favorite point.
Feedback to CO: Log is nearly full.

Found on our way to Beaufort for the Beaufort Bash weekend.
We followed a farm tractor down this road secretly hoping that he would stay on the road but just before GZ he turned off into a paddock. Once at GZ we could not see anything that described the cache name because the grass was about 1 metre high. Not a good geocaching experience for us. Still we kept at it and after a bit of mucking around we located the clever hide.

Interesting spot indeed. When the spring was running unimpeded it must have caused a considerable flow. No one noticed I was here. though I did spot a young couple fishing in the dam opposite. Doubt they spotted me, they were looking elsewhere.

Thanks for the small history lesson about the area. Loved how the cache is kept in place, very clever. TFTC strange quark1.
I'd just got out of the car and wandered towards GZ when a farmer was approaching the boundary of the property on the opposite corner. I decided to hold back and pretend to be reading the signs, and taking photos of same. He took forever to open his gate, move the ute out and then shut the gate again. He was possibly taking his time and sussing me out at the same time. Eventually he mustve decided I was up to no harm, and he left. Cache was then in hand within seconds, after all there wasn't really a lot of places this was going to be. I'm a Sullivan by marriage, and the Sullivans of Millbrook are a big part of the history round here. It was nice to get out on all these old familiar roads again, as all of his family are now in Ballarat. Thanks to strange quark1 for another hide today.
It was interesting to read of the history of this place. No one about on a quiet Sunday morning and one of 3 Millbrook caches that I found in quick succession today.
Thanks
