With ThatDarnBear DID NOT FIND got chased out by a horse and other animals probably there not risking it. Goodluck guys
GPS out but found the correct tree. TFTC. Chased by bl..... goat with horns.
Found with Sally who wasnt impressed being chased by friendly goat that hadhorns
We didn't know that the Trees have been chopped down So we have moved the Cache to another spot.
Didnt find as previous cacher mentioned trees felled recently and may have been disturbed. A pleasant historicsl spot.
Found the cemetery but no cache. I think recent clearing of stumps has disturbed the cache hide.
Definitely a quaint little cemetery I would have driven past plenty of room for more
Goat showed quite extreme interest in us and at one point attempted to charge. Cool cache though. TFTH
What a neat cemetery. Neat that:
* you found it and put a cache here
* someone is maintaining the cemetery
* it's got room for more
* its got interesting fungi (see pic)

An interesting rather sparsely occupied cemetery. It took us a wee while to find the cache, watched with interest by the horse, the goat and a small dog. Initially we found just an empty film canister, which was split, but delving further we found the plastic bag with the log, then eventually the cork lid. For us the cache seemed about 10 metres southeast of the coordinates. TFTC
Thanks for bringing us to this very unusual little cemetery! Cache quickly found. TFTH!
Found on a little drive out past Kaiapoi with Trifolia Argentea.
A very odd little cemetery here - so empty! At least of graves... there was plenty of sign of other habitation, by sheep, goats, and treehouse-builders... TFTC!

Arrived at GZ found the cache. The friendly horse made himself known interesting headstones thank you for bringing us here and for the cache
Some Geocachers have mentioned an Electric Fence..There is not one at the Gate Entrance that we could see..Cheers us Wombles..
This Cache has gone missing a few times before so we've moved it to another spot..
Cork fell apart on removal, discarded. The container is also damaged and ideally needs replacement; TFTC
I found something that could be the cache but I didn't have a corkscrew to get the cork out without damaging it. If that wasn't the cache it is missing then.
Very interesting place, thanks for bringing me here.
Couldn't access the cache because the back of ghe cemetery has been fenced off with some serious looking electric fence

I was on track to finding this 1, thought it would give the pup a good leg stretch. Glad I hadn't let go of his least when I spotted sheep under the trees! Saw the stones, and the likely hiding area but the sheep were resting where I figured the cache was and with a pup I decided not to risk it. So I shall be back one day and will try again
Headed up to Christchurch on Boxing Day for a 3-4 night caching trip, have to be grateful that despite overseas travel plans scrapped for now, we can still move around our beautiful country. Chatting to friends and family overseas, I feel very blessed and want to make the most of our earned freedom. I find caching is a great way to unwind and allow me to recharge ahead of the marathon which will be 2021.
After resting up from the drive up I wanted to push a bit further north from Christchurch to get some caches I need for my JASMER grid and to pick up some solved puzzles.
Thank you to all of the cache owners for the caches enroute.
For this cache; wow what a strange big hidden cemetery for so few residents. All of the boxes made me wonder if some goats live here.

[NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) is definitely happening, but has been postponed until 2021. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 22 to 25 October 2021. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20+ years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20+ years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* All the 20s and now 21 as well!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](http://nzmega.com) - you won't want to miss it!

Down in Christchurch with the Squirrel, ABCDF4 and eyespyben. During Covid lockdown, we solved a load of puzzles and decided that this would be a good time to visit. We've enjoyed a few days of good weather and seeing the Canterbury countryside. The caches have been in varying states - some good, some not so much. Our time here has been a blast, and we'd like to thank all COs who have made this adventure possible. Thank you and TFTC.
With ABCDF4, eyespyben, and Gap (of Fap and Gap). Logging all finds as Team HRP (Huntly, Rotorua, Papamoa - Our hometowns)... During Covid-19 lockdown, we solved a truck load of puzzles around Christchurch - Canterbury region. No use thrashing the old grey matter for no cause - We decided we should make good on this handiwork...
There are lots of interesting trails and geoart surrounding Christchurch. What you aren’t told is how far flung some of these caches actually are. Some beforehand advice would have been great, so here are some of my notes... You’re welcome!
1. Mobile coverage is patchy, especially in those quiet, rural areas where it was most needed. Saving caches to offline might show that you are prepared and organised...
2. There are many dusty metal roads on the trails. The car will get messy, and your hair will feel like cardboard at the end of the day...
3. Suitable clothing and footwear are essential. You will climb in and out of hedges, gorse, and other rough stuff. You might get scratched, cut to shreds, and bleed a lot. It’s not advised to wear your brand new jacket on the day...
4. Take lots of food and drink. You’ll probably be head down, tail up and not realise you haven’t eaten until late afternoon. There are very few shops or gas stations out there...
5. Make sure that you secure keys and wallet and know where these are placed for easy retrieval. A full box of pens might be useful too, especially if you’re inclined to free some into the wild...
6. Know the difference between left and right, and north, south, east, and west. Turning right and heading north will not get you to South Christchurch quickly.
7. Look with girl’s eyes rather than boys eyes... Some caches haven’t been found in a while and you might have to get down on your knees to pray.
8. Always be prepared for misleading hints. This is what turns simple caches into D5/T5 hides... “Head height” could mean the cache is positioned at your toes.
9. Have a sense of humour and like the people you go caching with. It’s going to be a very long day, and you might want to hurt someone during the journey...
10. Make sure you can operate your phone/device and it doesn’t crash when you most need it...
11. Learn to cut and paste logs because you’re going to repeat this function so often when logging all of your finds.
12. Above all else, have fun and be kind...
We have another one of those punishing plans to cache until we drop - An early morning start with the hope that we'll finish at a reasonable time... From South Christchurch, we took Highway 1 and crossed the Waimakariri River into Northern Christchurch... One of the strangest cemeteries we've visited... It took a few sweeps to choose the right host - The logbook was quite damp. Thanks Wombles B.J&T and TFTC.

After puzzle solving in the Canterbury region along with EyeSpyBen we were invited to join Fap (from Fap & Gap) and Squirrel Nutcase to a week long caching adventure in the Canterbury area. With flights and accommodation booked were off, all met up in ChCh. and many hard dusty Kms travelled and many caches found, I think the Squirrel has said it all in his brief. Many thanks for the placements and Cos for bringin us to the very pleasant areas we travelled in to your region

Crazy wee cemetery. A couple of friendly horses occupying the paddock. Logbook a bit damp.
Thanks for bringing me here.
Never would have found this without this placement.
It was a bit strange seeing the headstones amongst the trees.
Thanks

What a strange wee cemetery. Made more eerie by arriving on dusk!
The last day of the current souvenir promotion and I was 55 points shy of the last souvenir. What better chance to find a few high point caches than to take our daughter out driving in our other car. She needed a chance to familiarise herself with it, and I needed a "reason" to head out in the country. Win/win!
When I finally got to the right hint item I soon had the cache in hand. The log found was quite soggy, so I added a new piece of paper as a new log.

It might be difficult to be steathy as the Cemetery has been cleared of all the fallen Trees.
But don't let that put you off going in there to find it,and it seems a Farmer knows it's there..

On a work trip to Christchurch for a couple of days. Today I had some spare time to go off and find some caches. I managed to get myself to "Yeti Level" today. Plus a few more caches on my way to the next Hidden Creature. What an appropriate spot for a cache - the tombstone was a surprise. Like the previous searchers I had no joy with a search at the current posted coordinates or with any hint object matching the current hint. I was about to give up and leave when the neighbour / farmer came along and asked if I knew anything about the cemetery. I said I didn't really but that he'd probably noticed a few other people showing an interest in it. 'oh you're orienteering are you?' I said yes, that kind of thing. He told me knew where his grandson had found "it" and where they had put it back so off we went. After a short search we found it. With the log last signed 10 June. I hope it's OK to log this find. I've added coordinates to where the cache is located. TFTC, Biggles.
Rustynz, Rebel98 and myself Gorby are Westies from Auckland. We regularly head away on cheap flights to here and there, this time we have flown to Christchurch for a another 3 day adventure of fun and caching.
We chose this cache while passing through seeing it had a lot of FP's. But after checking out a few locations around Mr Hide, we could not find the cache! There was one spot that looked like a stump might have been there and possible the stump has gone too?? We'll put this cache on the watchlist and see what happens.. thanks for bringing us here though.

Muggle friend found it. Pleased Injeanious wrote such a good log. It really helped. #2901
Mr Hide. I like it. Today I didn't miss de hide. Quickly found at hint location. Odd little cemetery. Quiet neighbours for the new house beside I suppose. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25. Find # 1479
A quick find on my drive around the area mopping up the horse puzzles that I had solved. The nearby goat took a great interest in what I was doing but it seemed friendly enough. I was pleased that he was on a chain and not loose as he had horns.
thanks for the placement, we have been loved travelling and visiting the roads of Christchurch and the many caches each CO has taken the time to place, thank you for taking the time to place and maintain them.
A beautiful day for a walk and some caching. I got to the entrance to the cemetery and saw people working next door. After a while they all vanished so I took my chances and made my way to GZ. The cache was quickly found and there was still no one around when I left. Thanks for bringing me here. TFTC.
I wanted to get out of the house and round up a few caches nearby in the sunny afternoon, and I had a great time! TFTC!!

Found with Injeanious and Orangepeel104, we spent the day picking up caches on our way to Ashley gorge for a swim.
Injeanious and I had been here before with no luck, Jean has detailed in her log our experience this time. TFTC!

Got it with Jess.Daphene and Ingeanous! Never would've known about this cemetery had it it been for the cache! TFTC:-)
JD and I had been out here before and had a good search around but the cache had been muggled. We thought it was about time we got it since the COs had kindly replaced it. This time we brought OrangePeel along with us.
The cemetery is certainly looking different! Some of the trees have been cut down and the neighbours have a good view of the cemetery now. And it looks like someone is having a crack at building a treehouse.
We were trying not to look to obvious since the farmer was milling about. We soon realized the cache was hidden in a different location and we tried not to look too obvious because the farmer was milling about. Then we heard him call out, "have you found it?". He came over and told us how his son had stumbled on the cache and brought it home one day. They didn't know what it was but a couple of days later they saw all these people searching in the paddock and they realised they must be after the object they had found, so they decided to put it back. He pointed to where it was and headed back home with his little dog.
Unfortunately the cache wasn't there. After a widened search we found the cache. It was lying in the grass a few metres away. We replaced it in the area that the farmer had indicated - it seems to match the hint (I have a photo if necessary CO). Then we headed off. Glad to tick this one off and thanks for bringing us to this hidden cemetery.

It's been a slow couple of months for me and Jess.daphne, so we decided to team up with The Burnsy and get a whole lot of caches. We headed off to pick up more of the Lolly Scramble, Fruit and Vege, and Cust trails, signing the logs as JeJeBu. We had a great day and grabbed 50 caches. Our best day yet! Thanks to the COs for the caches.
A cool little cemetery, very lonely indeed. We searched high and low but didn't see the cache. We decided to head off as we're on a numbers mission today. We may not have found the cache but I found plenty of water cress and picked a bag for dinner. Tftc.

Out caching today with my sister and brother in law and Jojo and mum. Jojo and I are down from Blenheim while sister lives in Mandeville. So 5 of us and the focus today was to be the horse series, but in the end we did none of them. For some reason the coords I had loaded weeks ago while solving were not showing, so we focused on some of the many other ones in the area. Horsies will have to wait. Sorry for the cut and paste. TFTC to all COs
This is an interesting place. And a good source of pine cones for my sister, it seems. So we came and had a good look for ten minutes to no avail. A bit disappointing considering some one had also found that day. But as it happened the boy next door had seen them and came over to investigate himself, and taken the cache. So while we were looking his dad called out to us, came over and produced it from his pocket. We all had a bit of a laugh, the kid thought he was in trouble but it was all good. When he replaced as he had found we could see it was a very good hide.

Took an early dart from work and had to find a cache for the day before we headed off for the weekend, was about to give up and find another when came up the goods. This cache is why I like caching because it takes you somewhere new that you had no idea about. There is a very appropriate headstone nearby that cracked me up Mr Hide you are watching the cache! Thanks for the great location.
Not only the cemetery is well hidden - the cache was as well. Took the wrong entry and ended up on a private driveway, but back to the road and used the gate. Good to see that the hide was close to a guy with the same name... TFTC
Our recent multi day Canterbury cache raid was so successful we decided to have another one before the holidays finished. Again we got stabbed, prodded, pricked and scraped by the variety of hedges the region is so famous for. And of course we can now hold our breath a lot longer. A skill well worth developing to avoid breathing in part of the road surface every time a vehicle passes. Just over 200 finds were logged this time and a great time was had finding the caches with a variety of shapes, sizes and placements. A big thank you to all COs who made this possible.
With a few more days of holidays left we decided to head south again and find some caches we didn't have time to look for last week, plus some more off the beaten track. This was one of 52 found today.
Thank you to all CO's who made this possible.

Passing by and checked out our Cache and found the Log Book nearly used up..
We have replaced it,and it's ready to be found..

Nearly overlooked this one, but then... Was a bit odd the general arrangement with the paddock the graves are in being treated as though it was private.
Huge area for a very small number of residents! Took a few minutes to locate this one. It pays to look at the right stump! Nifty hide. #891. TFTC.
[green] Out with Hanknstone, Haydn.seek and thestepahine on an awesome 200+ day. We managed to get 210 caches in 11 hours, an average of 3 minutes each. There were a few awesome caches out there, but mostly it was a blur. Thanks to all the cache owners, and my apologies about the cut and paste!
Hanknstone, Haydn.seek, the Seagnoid and I had a challenge of doing 200 caches in a day. We started at 7:30am and finished around 8:00pm with a total of 200+. Apologies for the copy and pasting of the logs but there were so many we found that it would take so long to write them all up individually! Thank you for the find.
The next on our 210 run finding caches for the day with our team of four- HHSS. Working as a team each doing diff. roles we were able to speed up the find rate quite well and we managed to do about the first 100 with no Did Not Finds but after that the distances increased and the find rate dropped but we still managed to finish the day with 210 cache. The seagnoid has planned etc our route so it was all efficient Thank you to The Seagnoid for this pre work and thank you to the different cache Owners for these great, interesting caches. I just ;loved the huge chupps chup and all the veges and fruit. . Thank you for the cache and another smiley face.

We love visiting cemeteries and most certainly the interesting ones like this one. Thanks for the history lesson. A great find deserving a Fav for both the site and the amo.

After doing a few more on the nearby lolly trail we decided to head up this way and do some fruit and veggies for a change.
When we saw this cemetery cache on the map we decided to make a slight detour to find it as well. We had a lovely chat with a lady across the way who told us a little about the cemetery.

Our team for the Mega weekend was signing as VYV (Vamber, Yorkshirekiwi83 and Vistra). we found quite a few in the short space of time we were together, where I can I will make comments about the cache. We had teamed up back in Auckland and had been busy planning what we were going to target and in what order, of course plans changed even more so when we were down here, but that is part of what makes it fun and I had a great time over the weekend, thanks to all the CO's for placing.
