Out on our scooters along the river on a shady afternoon. Not so shady on the bridge though. Still cant work out the reference to a torch, but we found the cache anyway. Took a bit of umming and ahhing as well as some head scratching and standing back to have a think before the cache was spotted. Thanks Sparra0907 for placing and maintaining the cache for our enjoyment. #2420
Once I realized it was more easily found from a distance I soon had the cache in hand. TFtC
Had to go out for a bit get a look at this one. Once done obtaining the cache was easy enough. Tftc!!
I had a look for this yesterday with no luck. I had daughter and granddaughter to help out today. After a visit to the pup we nailed it, coordinates spot on again. SL NL NT TFTC
Find 5243 on September 25, 2024 Found while on a family holiday to Swan Hill. Ha that was good fun. Had to do a wander to gain a good point of view. Then the rest was easy enough. All is well with the cache. TFTC Milvusmigrans
Find 569 on 25 September 2024Great hide here today. Took ages to find good luck finding yourself TFTC Sparra0907
Found with Bogonghazy and Geo dog. Spent a week up in the Mildura area caching and golfing. Last lot of caches on our trip home. Thanks for placing the geocache
We looked up and we looked down and then we put our hand on it. Clever placement. Tftc
Checked on this cache on our way back from checking out some others in NSW. Yep this one is ok, still in its original place and ready to be found again. Cheers.
After reading the previous logs, easy to spot but harder to retrieve solo.... after counting had the cache in hand and signed the log. TFTC
We searched on high and then tried under with no luck, yet the coords remained persistent. It was only when we looked from a different angle that we were able to spot the cache.Today seemed to be a good day for bike riding, so Mrs SKI put together a route that took us through a mixture of sightseeing and caching. And a good day it was as we rode along the river and a number of bike paths seeing the sights and collecting some trads, multis, puzzles a Virtual. We even managed a stop at a bakery for lunch and a coffee.Mrs SKI calculates we rode around 14km for the entire trip. There weren't a lot of muggles about and the sun was shining with a slight breeze.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Sparra0907.**SKI Pair****
On the journey home from the Canberra Geobash we decided to stay at the nearby caravan park, so we could grab a few caches. TFTC
Canberra GeoBash DashDay Eight: Barham to home. Weather: Cooler, perfect. Ive reached Swan Hill, and couldnt resist crossing the Murray one more time for a few more NSW caches. This looked like it might be one of those caches where you lose a lot of time, but after reading some of the earlier logs I had this one stitched up pretty quickly. Returned to precisely the same spot where I found it. Thanks for this cache Milvusmigrans.
#128First cache in NSW and its on the border was almost about to give up then thought we would go to the bank. And sure enough there it was. I was unsure what the hint ment though. TFTC
Day 7 - homeward bound. I miss my bed, I miss my shower, do I miss my family yeah sure We drove off early into the sunrise - literally! It was very blinding, luckily I cleaned the windscreen before we left. We took our time driving back and picking up a few caches along the way. There were some well done caches and great little towns discovered which made me think I could stay on the road longer, but nah, Ill save that feeling up for next time. This cache: Quicker with team work to get this cache. Tftc!!!
Chooo ooo [Found] with youban and dty73 on our trip to SA to attend the Leapyear mega! Thanks Sparra0907!
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. This is our first visit to Swan Hill and there is sooo much to see and sooo many caches nearby, leaving us spoilt for choice. We headed out early this morning hoping to beat the heat. Very unsuccessful at that and pretty unsuccesful days caching too. Lots of DNF, feeling pretty sad now. Tired, hot and grumpy we gave up just after lunch. We did manage to find this cache. TFTC Milvusmigrans [^]
Quick stop for lunch in Swan Hill on our way home after a weekend away with the family. We were attracted to this one because of the favourite points & decided it was definitely worth a crack before getting back in the car.We looked from the ground & initially didnt see anything, so we tried searching on top of the bridge instead - still no luck. One more go from the bank, & there it is - clear as anything! With the location noted the cache was quickly in muggle hubbys hands (to make sure we didnt drop it!).TFTC - another favourite point added
My 2nd find today, and since I was on my way to Swan Hill I was able to duck into New South Wales and check off another LGA. The river is really high today.
Day 10 of our west to east adventure. Today's leg brought us from Adelaide to Swan Hill. After checking into our accoms, a short rest and a shower we headed out to check out the town. We took a short stroll along the River walk, which brought us here and I couldn't resist a quick NSW find to make it 3 states in a day... Unfortunately it wasn't as quick as I would have liked, but after a pause to read the manual more thoroughly , a few tidbits pointed me right. Many thanks for the hide Milvusmigrans, FP added.
Hopefully we didnt look too suspicious. Fairly quick to find when you think you might know what you are looking for. Placed a trackable in that Im embarrassed to say we had sitting in our motorhome for a year and forgot it was there. So good to set it free again in such a great spot.
Heading home from Mildura to Wollongong. We made sure we had the time to make a few cache stops to break up the journey.Needed this particular cache, first find in this LGA.Cheers
Went out very early this morning and checked on this cache to see if it was still there. And it is all nice and dry and well out of the high river. Just waiting to be found again cheers .
Went for a bike ride early this morning to check on this cache. It is still there but it was not in the right spot. It has been put back in its correct location. It's all nice and dry and in good condition and is ready to be found again. Thanks and cheers.
On my way back to Adelaide after a fabulous time in Rutherglen for the MEGA.
Found this while completing the AL.
Took me longer than it should have. I had a feel/ing about fishing line. Not the case. Took to reading previous logs, spotting from below, retrieving from above is the way to go.

Have to say that the clue made no sense at al.
Thankfully didn’t take too long to find it.
Could have been anywhere.
Used a bit of Geo sensing.

Out and about today again in Swan Hill. Quick find here, first cache for the day. TFTC
Felt around for a bit then read some logs. Did what pullw did and found it straight away.
Lovely cold morning here in Swan Hill. SL at 7:30am. Hopefully I’ll avenge a couple of DNFs from the last time I was here.

Well that was a leap of faith but found this one - just spotted it out of the corner of my eye - after a day of a few DNF good to end on a high note tflc
Came at a quiet time, and found it between vehicles, in the first place poked. Gotta love that!
Great spit for a view too...

Thanks

Here's a hint for this cache. Don't do this cache at night. It is still there, we went out and checked on it again today. Read the hint. Cheers.
Went out today and checked on this cache, and it is still there. Just hanging about waiting to be found again. Cheers. The CO.
Heading back home after visiting South Australia, mind you we are not going the direct route but exploring some of the towns that we hadn't been to before.
Stopped here for a break and while my wife went op shopping I look for this cache.
After reading some logs I realised once I got to GZ what they were talking about but I thought rather than scrabbling about on my knees I would look from a better advantage point for the cache.
I could see something so once back at GZ I reached out and found the cache. That was better than gravel rash!

No need for any today as the cache is still there, still in its original spot and just waiting to be found again. Thanks and Cheers. The CO. And don't forget to Vote Dickhead Dictator Dan out in November.
Crawled around on our hands and knees for 45 mins. Hot, scratched up and dirty. Nice view from the bridge though. DNF.
It’s MEGA Road Trip time!! A plan is hatched and we are good to go.
DAY ELEVEN: Now camped at Koondrook, a quick trip to Swan Hill today for a few caches before heading back for a swim.
RoamingHowie ventured across to retrieve and sign the log while I sat in the coolness of the air-conditioned GeoRanger.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Sparra0907

Day #11 of the MEGA road trip. After setting up camp at Koondrook last night we decided to do a small visit to Swan Hill to give it a second go after leaving disheartened last time. Fingers crossed for a better visit this time.
Almost burnt my knees as I kneeled to search all sides and areas of the bridge. Quickly got back up again. Found the hide and replaced it carefully.
Thanks Sparra0907 for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

A mega jaunt with endeavour3 saw us caching this cache and writing in the log, then we moved on. A lovely place to explore.
Thanks to Sparra0907 and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]

Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.
I have joined forces with TeamAstro to attend the Wangaratta Mega.
Today’s journey took us from Swan Hill to Murray Bridge.
One of us looked from low while the other retrieved from high.
I removed the wasps nest close to GZ while at it.

What an awesome location! Made this harder than I needed to as per usual haha. TFTC
Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch. While doing a little exploring in Swan Hill and after completing an Adventure Lab we made our way across the bridge to find this cache. We checked out the counterweights on the bridge on our return, I wonder how much all those weights add up to. TFTC
Found.....great hide. Had someone ask us what we had lost....we said our minds.. TFTC
Super cool bridge! Took us a bit of teamwork to locate this one as our initial hunch was off. Great cache when we found it tonight! Swaps made, log signed. Geokid was thrilled to enter NSW. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC
Lol needing to get an escort across the bridge could not even pretendand another dnf
Awesome! Needed to go low first to spot it, then double backed and made the find. Great spot, lot of caches in this town.
2nd attempt today. got a wet dirty knee after the much needed rain last night and today. Yesterday was a scorcher... happy to find it after a couple of dnfs in Swan Hill.
There are lots of police and SES guys here making sure covid does not get in to Victoria from NSW. We wandered across the bridge and I had a pretty good idea of what was needed to retrieve the cache. I was nimble and the log was signed and the cache replaced. Love caching in Swan Hill.
Bridge works are still not completed as yet and now we are in lockdown so this cache has not been replaced as yet, but we have a new one ready to go as soon as we can. Cheers. Sparra0907.
Bridge works still not yet completed.will replace soon.be patient.thanks and cheers.
Bridge works is still on going, so cache has not been replaced as yet. We have a new container ready to go as soon as the works are completed. Thanks and cheers. The CO.
Due to the new bridge work this cache has gone missing. We will replace it with a new container as soon as the bridge work is complete. Thanks and cheers.
A balmy evening with JSANDO after a quick dinner. Super quick find. Love the bridge. A fave point for the location. TFTC.
Went back again and after reading others comments we finally found it! Tricky but good.
Couldn’t resist the challenge of finding a cache after a recent DNF. Found after a moderate search and some keen eyes. Very clever hide. TFTC.
A great spot for a spot of fishing. Did a bit of reconnaissance first then used my hands. Thanks

Day two, in the very good company of Suscoe and the forecast of hot weather a caching course was charted close to the city.
The hint held no meaning for us and, after finding the cache, we wondered on its relevance. Good spotting by one of the team meant the cache was quickly in hand - a FP from us today.
Thanks 'Sparra0907' for adding this cache to the gameboard.

Suscoe was out and about with Phetlern on this warm Spring day.
It got to 30 degrees and it was sunny, a light sprinkle of rain at times and sunny again as well as being windy.
We focused on caches that were not too far out of town and enjoyed finding a range of caches and hides.
It was a top day and we had a great time.
Thanks to Milvusmigrans for this hide, a clever bit of work and we had a bit of team work going here to sort out where and how.
Log signed and on our way.
A favourite.

Very busy day, today. Too many walkers and the odd bike rider, made it difficult to search in the short time I had here! I’ll have to return again, sometime.
Went out today to do some maintance on this cache and its still there and all is ok with it. Cheers.
We we’re expecting a tricky one, used our logical brains and found it! We’ve left a travel bug in this cache. Great find walking off a good feed at the pub! TFTC
In Swan Hill for the night on our way to Queensland. Thought we would look for a few caches while here. A short search and we soon located the cache. Signed log and replaced. TFTC
Having to go to Swanhill to deliver some equipment for the New Years Eve festivities there we made the most of it by stopping to grab a few caches along the way to break up the drive.
This was the ninth for the day.
Not having a lot of time for caches around town we chose one that had the most favourite points as our target for today and this was it. We searched around for quite awhile with no luck knowing that the cache had to be there as it only had been recently replaced. We read through previous logs which gave us a clue where we were able to spot the cache and a few minutes later we were able to retrieve it and very happily add our name to the nice fresh log book.
Thanks ilvusmigrans for the cache hide and sparrow0907 for the maintenance, a very nice hide.

This cache was missing but now it has been replaced and is all ready to be found again. It went missing when some new bridge work was done, sorry about that. All fixed now. Cheers. The CO.
This year our plan was to spend our "summer vaction" in Australia.
So arriving on the 7th November we took over the campervan and started our tour from Sydney to Adelaine. On that tour we tried to found a lot of caches. This was unfortuanetly one of those we did not found.
Thank's a lot to all CO's that placed and maintain the caches here in "Down Under".
Greetings from the south of Germany

I think you would have more luck fishing today than finding a cache. Maybe bridge works is obscuring the cache, not sure. Looked in the right spot according to the the GPS but no bites today.
Recent bridge works or rising river may have made this difficult to access. DNF
Found with becca85, neisha07 & chan02 along with GemmaSistema & boys during a night time walk from the caravan park. Crossing the bridge was fun! TFTC
A fun afternoon caching then a stop for dinner and a night time walk with a couple of extra caches thrown in! Found with becca85, GemmaSistema, boo09 & chan02. TFTC
Thanks to a long weekend (Happy Birthday Queen V!) we had the chance to make a Sunday day trip to Swan Hill where GemmaSistema & family were camping.
After dinner we grabbed the torch and the kids (boo09, neisha07, chan02 & Sistema boys) and went for a walk over the bridge. The kids loved telling their Dads when we got back that they'd walked from Vic to NSW. chan02 made the grab here. TFTC

In Swan Hill for the long weekend so a cache or two is a must! An easy find here. Kids are excited that they can say they rode from one state to another! Lol. Many thanks for the cache.
Thanks for a great chance to explore the swan hill bridge!
Loved the sunset, TFHC

After staying the night in Swan Hill, we headed off this morning to visit a number of areas including Quambatoo, Boort, Mount Terrick Terrick, Pyramid Hill and Kerang, looking for a range of caches along the way. Although it got quite hot during the day, we had an enjoyable time exploring areas we had not visited previously.
After visiting Pyramid Hill we started a rather circuitous route back to Swan Hill. We got back in adequate time to look for some caches in the area. In fact we had sufficient time to cross the border and look for a small number of caches north of the Murray River. It was a distinct advantage having two team members. Whilst one directed from below, the other retrieved the cache from a very good hide. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Milvusmigrans for the cache. It earns a favourite from us.
