As we head towards Terang, we have time to spare to check out the view and find a cache or two.A lovely view of Portland from here.We waited a few minutes for a muggle to move along before I headed carefully to the cache. After an encounter with a Tiger snake on Saturday, I am very wary in the long grass.
Spent about 20 mins looking in the wrong spot because my GPS was wildly off by about 4-5m. (This is my sign to invest in a better GPS now )Checked the hint and found it immediately. Note to self - always read the instructions carefully. TFTC! Loved the view.
I decided to pick up a few caches on the way back to Melbourne to Brunswick to break up the drive a little. I have driven past this one multiple times but on all previous occassions there were muggles about so I elected to drive on. Today I was in luck and was able to quickly locate the cache, add my name to the log and return to my car before any muggle interuptions. Thanks bucketeer for the cache.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on. SA caching foray. Staying in Portland for a few days to grab some of the local hides. Spending the arvo getting some outlying caches. Quick find here. Thanks for the hide
We are travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are staying in Portland for a few days, wandering around the area enjoying the amazing sights this area has to offer. TFTC. LNCU.
As a once in a lifetime holiday, this year we are traveling for 7 weeks to Vietnam, Bali, Australia and New Zealand. In Australia we meet Ellen Sch and MrVon sr and Ingsve to visit these last two countries, so here we cache together. We signed the log with N4. Now we have solved many caches so we have a large number of solved coordinates. But we are interested in all types of caches, so if you receive a log, it means that we have visited your cache. We haven't quite decided where we're going, but we'll probably let the weather decide for us. We want warmth because in Norway it is now freezing. We will stay for about 2 weeks in Australia and 2 weeks in New Zealand and we will end the trip with the Mega event in Adeleide on 29 February. So thank you very much to all of you who make it possible for us to travel around finding caches. On March 6, we set course for Norway again. There are extremely nice people everywhere and we are welcomed, we thank you very much. Thanks to our cache friends for good company on the trip. Now has Ellen Sch, MrVon sr and Insve started on their jurney home to Norway so we now sign logs with our nick.
Bullertrout, Nanzie and i are caching our way to Adelaide for the mega. Picking up what we can in the time available. Great view although hazy. All logs are being signed as BT, N, PC or some variation of that to save space. TFTC bucketeer#15175

For some reason Portland is a place I always wanted to come to. Wasn't a great view today as sky was smokey.
TEMBO! and I stoped at the cache "A Frank Look at Portland" and enjoyed the view. Thanks to bucketeer for hiding and maintaining the cache.T4TC Filser1
The cache in the photo is not the one - this one is on the other side of the fence and is empty, had been there a very long time as it was quite covered over by debris. We did find the actual one though behind the big one under the small one

Adelaide to Hobart Road Trip.
Day Two: Millicent to Corio and the big red boat.
Weather: sensational!
I’m stuck behind a wide load carrying something huge - part of a windmill tower maybe, so I’ve pulled over here to give him a head start (and I never saw him again). A great vista here; a shame to see all the rubbish, just like any rest stop back home. Cache quickly located and log signed; thanks for the hide and the recent maintenance bucketeer.
It’s officially a mega.

Day 3 of my road trip through the south west of Victoria... a day out to Portland... with plans to find enough caches to tick off Glenelg Shire for the *12 Circuits of Victoria Challenge* that I am working on... and generally have a great time!
Almost into Portland, I took the time out to enjoy the view... and grab another find. Thanks **bucketeer** for putting this cache here.

We were here - Joodie & Joodax
after work walk, wine and relax!
bucketeer Thanks for the cache and yellow dandelion.
Yesterday I arrived at Apollo Bay with all my might. I dragged my suitcases into the room, took a shower and fell into bed. Joodie said she told me she was going to buy something to eat, but he was already asleep. Not long after, I woke up with a chill. Joodie came back with hot food from the take away, but I wasn't interested at all. We turned to our doctor for advice. Fortunately, we managed to get in touch with her. After the consultation, I swallow a combination of pills that we have with us and which I would never dare to combine . I feel like a king in the morning
While waiting for her food, Joodie dug out the cash. It's funny that right here with snakes in the title. We will drive for her. I have to go to the thicket alone . In the end, however, Joodie finds her anyway. When she saw her, she performed a backflip that no kangaroo would take.
We're off to Kingston. In Lavers Hill we set up for muffins and a little further on we set up for drive-in cash. Next up is the coastal madness of the 12 Apostles and all the surrounding places which are absolutely breathtaking. But I don't have time to log it now.
Joodie chose this box to stop when we reported from the steering wheel that I needed to stretch. Really nice view

Do houští musím sám . Nakonec ji ale stejně nachází joodie z cesty. Když ji uviděla, předvedla skok vzad, za který by se nemusel žádný klokan.
Vyrážíme do Kingstone.

Bunadoorian and I were en route to Portland from Warrnambool. We stopped here and I took quite a few photos from the lookout/carpark. I found this cache in good condition. TFTC and for bringing us here bucketeer.
This cache was not where I thought that it would be when I first arrived but well hidden and in good condition. TFTC.
Here at Portland we have found a few more in the area and this was one of them.
Cache and contents were in good condition.

Nice easy find on a wet and windy weekend exploring the Warnambool Portland area on Melbourne Cup weekend 22 while most of the state was Flooding. Tftc
Thanks for the cache. I wouldn’t be looking for this cache in summer with all the long grass to get to it.
Beautiful views of Portland.
Beautiful views of Portland.
Well I was now supposed to be on my 6 week adventure up to Outback Queensland but with my knee failing me I just had to turn back around and head home.
So after 3 weeks of rest at home I was getting cabin fever so for the last week I just had to get out so Western Victoria beckoned so I could grab a few LGA’s and UBD Country VIC maps which would not involve a lot of walking.
So after attending the International Geocaching event in Lara yesterday I got up early this morning and off I went.
With all of the recent heavy rain everything is just soaked and you have to be careful not to leave the road or tracks.
Well I have reached as far as I’m going today so after finding a couple of caches to fill in a LGA and 2 maps I’m turning around and heading back towards Melbourne and let’s see how far East I get today.
I great view from up here and I will have to come back to really enjoy the place and not just a 2 hr visit.
Thanks bucketeer TFTC.

Quick easy find at a gorgeous lookout. I took the travel bug and will send it on its way later today
On the home stretch from a family sunday drive through this beautiful region this is our last stop and quick find thanks to the hint. All is well at GZ. Thanks Bucketeer for your efforts. They made our long weekend in Portland that little bit more fun!
The sort of view you reach for your camera or phone. I could not spot the angled trucks today!
Thanks to bucketeer and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]
Heading home from Portland, I picked a small number of caches to break my journey. This was my first one, not so much to break the journey, but to ensure I headed in the right direction. Nice quick find.
Many thanks to bucketeer for the cache.
Many thanks to bucketeer for the cache.
A 5 day caching run, over the 2020/2021 New year period saw me leave on the Thursday the 31st of December and travel to the Brisbane Ranges, down to Warrnambool, Port Fairy, Portland, the up to Heywood, Dunkfield and Horsham, camping along the way. On the Saturday I met up with my caching partner, ilukaperi at the home of choocknchunk, where we spread the coronavirus around as much as we could. Enjoyed some 4wding around the Mt Cole area before making our way back home on the Monday.
So I spent New Year’s Eve by myself on the shores of Lake Elingamite, sipping on a glass (or plastic cup) of red wine and watching the sunset on 2020. Good riddance I say! I got up early and cached my way from there, through Warrnambool, Port Fairy and Portland before finding my camp for the night at Annya Camp. A lot of variety of cache types and some good ground covered too.
There were some muggles in a nearby car, but they took very little notice of me as I made my way over for an easy find. Spectacular spot for a cache. Thanks!

The weather has certainly been changeable since we left Melbourne early this morning. We have recently driven through rain, but just as we arrived here the sunshine broke through. It made the view look delightful. SL at 6.30pm #7399 and that makes our last find for the day. We are heading into South Australia tomorrow for a few days R&R. TFTC bucketeer
We had stopped here on our last trip to Portland 3 years ago, but we were muggled out. Today the coast was clear for a nice easy find. Lovely views. TFTC bucketeer.
A quick find with tassie expat while exploring this great area. Nice views. Very windy and rainy today. Tftc
On our first break away since lockdown eased for Regional vic. Making the most of Geelong cup and grand final long weekend. On a day trip from Port Fairy seeing a few sights of Portland and then up to Nelson. Rainy day Today but we are still going to do some sight seeing. Nice and easy find TFTC
It is a great lookout up here. Early in the day. Cape Bridgewater bound today. Thanks bucketeer.
A quick find as we traveled back from a swim (yes crazy kids) at Narrowang in the river. Thanks for the cache.
Nice and easy for the kids to find. Beautiful view. Always fun being a tourist in your own town.
