It’s been a couple months since the maintenance request, if the owner could replace that would be great! Thanks
Looks like this one is gone, hasn’t been found since 2020 and a couple of DNF’s since. Thanks!
Parked at the speedway entrance and made my way up the track to GZ for a quick find. TFTC The Turriffs.
Today was to be my final 'work from home' shift, but I decided to take the day off and head towards Goulburn, collecting caches along the way.
A quick detour to pick this one up while doing the 'Mount Gray' series.
TFTC, The Turriffs - your caching name reminded me of the Australian band 'The Triffids', and I was singing 'Wide open road' for the rest of the day!

Ocw Aries44duo. We parked at the admission gate of the speedway and made a quick find up at GZ.
OCW Stumble's Mate today to, coincidentally, avoid the Bowral Cycle Classic being held today in Highlands. Take two at this lot on the ridge, and an additional for ST to clear up this part of the map. TFTC!
After the SideTracked Day 2019 meet at Marulan Station, I came here to find the caches along this road / track. I parked the car and walked down to this one. Muddy ground and I walked a layer back on the soles of my shoes. Once at GZ this was a quick find, and the cache and log are good. TFTC The Turriffs.
Was in area for a cito. So grabbed this as I came past. Didn’t have pen to

Today Geoturtle37 and I are caching in and around the Goulburn area. We managed to get quite a few caches done and they were all interesting in their own way. Sizes locations and ease of find were varied today . Thank you to all the CO’s that made this possible. Thank you for showcasing this lovely town, it’s views, it's architecture and it's history which is certainly fascinating and worthy of the caches dedicated to it.
Our last cache of the day and a really fun one. Walked down the hill and heard the roar . The speedway was on . So we stood and watched for a while and then unicorn princess made the find . Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
Nice cache out in the bush on our way to Canberra we saw some speed way racers racing on a dirt track while we were there Tftc.
Having to be in a meeting this evening, I decided to drive down early and grab a few caches. I saw a series and thought it would be a good one for starters and grabbed this one on the way through
Great views all the way to the top.

Drove down from Sydney after work, going to Canberra for an aunt and uncle's 60th wedding anniversary. Plan was to go for a nice shady bushwalk here before it got dark. Reality was a hot hilly walk that I couldn't do for long haha.
No one else parked at the speedway, no action happening, but I did see one car going 4 wheel driving in the nearby hills. Cache found with good co-ords. Signed log and replaced. TFTC!

Checked to make sure container was intact and in place. Confirmed it’s still in place.
A little trek down from the road then back. Cool to see the speedway that I didn't know was there.

The approach I took to this one was a bit challenging going down steeply on rocky, slippery tracks but it made the find even sweeter. Left a little car which seemed appropriate. Nice.
Found with nissan 65. Decided we would leave bikes at home and walk it today. Great day for it. Thankyou for the cache
Another day of caching it started as a cloudy cool day good for going to the scrub but soon the sun broke through and the temperature rose by the time we got to the last cache of the run out it was already getting very warm. We managed to add 15 this being number 2 for the day.
Thanks The Turriffs for given us a reason to speed to pick up this and now we know where the speedway is located.
Grand Cache count = 552 total consisting of 517 Traditionals, 18 Multi, 5 Mystery, 4 Earth, 2 Virtual and 3 Event.

What a wonderful day I had today. With two incredible geocaching buddies, Kitty Katch and Joolay, we were the Capital Crunches and hit Goulburn armed with the solutions to many puzzles and determination to conquer the Mount Grey series plus some extras. The weather was kind to us at first but by the time we arrived at the top of the Mount (yes Mohamed(s) came to the Mount), it was windy and cold. The views had been spectacular but rather than sit out for our picnic lunch to enjoy them, the weather drove us into the car.
After lunch we did a couple of Governor Hill caches then decided to grab the puzzle caches we had solved. With a few extras thrown in for good luck, we decided to call it a day about 4 pm and headed into town to check into our motels for the night.
A brief rest, then a walk to the Paragon Cafe for dinner where the service was exemplary, and then luckily we caged a lift to the GIFF which was a fantastic evening.
Thanks to the ladies for a fantastic time, to all the COs for placing and maintaining the caches - all of which were found easily and in good condition, to the fellow cachers at the GIFF for adding to the enjoyment of the evening and Sol de Lune for the lift back to my motel saving me quite a walk (yes the legs and feet knew they had covered some distance today.)
I headed to Goulburn today with Joolay and SmittenGranny to grab some caches and attend the GIFF event tonight. Signed as the Capital Crunchers. After tackling Mount Gray we headed back down the hill and down here to the Speedway. Nice little walk up to the cache - all in good nick. Thanks for bringing us here
**# 16687** Found on the start of our 2017 winter escape trip.
Last day in Goulburn and a quick trip around town again.
And another nice sunny day with not many muggles around.
Missed this one when up here the other day, so a quick find today.
Thanks for the cache The Turriffs,

Found while taking a break in Goulburn. I parked nearby and had a bit of a walk to GZ. Once there it was an easy find. TFTC
We are heading to South Australia before heading to the event in Alice Springs. Currently we are travelling with DiMorgan and Bill ofcourse nice to have some companions to go caching with. Thanks to The Turriffs for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Belanglo to Golburn.
We have set up camp at the VC rest stop. Today we were caching with Liz and Bruce.
It was back into town after lunch & then up Mount Gray. We were rewarded with amazing views of the area from the top.
After grabbing a few groceriers we collected the caches on the way back to camp.

A weekend of Geocaching in the Goulburn area. Together with GeoDirk and HanorahTLG we had a good attempt to clean the area of the unfound containers!
Nice detour on our ascent to Mount Gray, we spend a couple of minutes here discussing the direction the cars would take. And then we left the fenced off area because another car which looked like a security car came by. TFTC.

The plan for to-day was to find caches around Mt Gray and Governors Hill and then around Goulburn itself. Nice views along the ridgeline. TFTC

A full days caching from Canberra to Goulburn and back, including today's event in Goulburn. Easily found before meeting up with others to do the Mt Gray series. TFTC.

I came to Goulburn (from Canberra) for the New Years Eve Eve event, and after the event a group of us met near a cache on Mt Gray and did most of the other caches up here as a group.
TFTC - This was one wasnt part of our "tour" - so I ducked over here and grabbed it just after
Also dropped off a TB that wants to see 4WD parks ... I know the speedway isn't quite the same, but this area up here looks like people use it as a 4WD park, among other things, so it seemed like a good place to drop it off to
both, when I told Tikva NZ I was coming to find this cache, he gave me a spare log sheet to put in here, because the other one is full (he didn't have one with him when he found it, but he had one in his car) - so it now has room for people to sign again ...

A park and a walk, for an easy find today thanks, repair works being done on the speedway track below.
Beautiful day today, few caches around at Goulburn before go ahead to home today...
great after series as love it as so easy drive with dry grave
Quickly spot, as sign in with no trouble...
Thanks for having us here today...

Out and about with Happy Uke again today. Happy Uke had a mind to head south to clean out some caches in and around Goulburn.
This was our eighth of the day.
Thanks!
This was our eighth of the day.
Thanks!
I was itching to do a some more caching before the school holidays finish. So Finalf29 and I decided to clean up the ones along the highway to Goulburn...we had a wonderful afternoon filled with adventures finding twenty two. We will definitely be back to grab the rest in Goulburn itself.
This was our eighth for the day. Well I don't know what it was like from the other direction, but way we chose was all HILL! Had to be very careful on the way down and a bit of a huff and puff on the way back...so we couldn't give it any speed even if it was needed. The log is FULL, so had to find a little corner of blank to sign in. Thanks

A truck was bringing out a dumped old Mercedes benz as I drove into this area. Had it all to myself - the bush, the birds, the garbage....

A days caching with steeba and Hoojar had been a few weeks in the planning. The all-important question of where to go, loomed….. A quick study of the gc.com map showed an influx of new caches in the Goulburn area so today we set about finding the plethora of caches that dotted the region.
Under cloudy skies this cache was one of the 70 we found today. It was pretty muddy making my way to GZ
Thanks to all the CO’s for their respective hide.

I drove around to the speedway entrance and had a short walk up to GZ for a quick find.
Set out to find a couple of geocaches in Goulburn today. Thanks for bringing us to this great location.
Very quiet here today. We noticed that was a meet about a week ago which would've made it a lot more noisy. Geokids explored for a bit while i found the cache. Tftc.
Probably did the hard way giving ourselves a steep slog back to the car. No speed here today.

One last Goulburn caching stop as we left the area after visiting the parentals for Easter. As usual, took straight line to the cache, only to discover a nice track we could've walked along once there. Nice easy find. TFTC
As there was muggles about at the speedway I took the second road which was about 150 metres above the geocache location. Parked just where t the road turns to gravel then went in on foot. The walk back up the hill hit hard. If you have 4wd you can get in and park right next to the geocache but as I didn't the good old legs will do. Found the cache easy as the tree stood out and checked the hint and was on the money. Thanks for the cache.
Found this one on a quick day trip to the Southern Highlands.
The GPS went flat so hat to use the phone for this one.
Up and down and round and round I went as the stupid compass on the phone didn't know what way it was going.
Eventually found it safe and well.
Note to self.... Always carry spare batteries for GPS

Find 4712 logged from c:geo.

33 degrees today, of course I'd take the long (and harder) way in for this find! Enjoyed the landscape, found a "speedway wreck" on the way in and also disturbed a couple of kangaroos. Found somewhere likely to "reach in" at GZ but reached in and remained empty handed. Took a step back, scratched my head, looked and went "oh, there". Signing done and back to the car via the easier (and more flat) path!
Last find of my drive from Young to Sydney. I'd driven through Goulburn so many times but never gone up here. Parked at the gates and headed up the hill, further than I expected in the 37C heat. A quick find, sign, replacement.
Thanks!
Thanks!
After tramping around the hill side and enjoying the views etc. found the cache. TFTC
Wow , memories Was amazing to see the ole place again, they even have kept part of the old fence as a memorial of sorts. Used to come here back in the early '80s as part of a pit crew.

ATCF used to come here quite some time ago, so it was interesting to see it now. The walk up the hill was easy then we snapped some pics to compare with the old photo album.

Every time I head up to Sydney, I always zoom past a whole bunch of caches and towns that I don't have time to visit. A couple of weeks ago I started to repair this situation when on a day trip to Bowral. But today is was about the caches between Canberra & Goulburn.
It was warm & up to 29C as I drove about. Quite pleasant conditions generally.
An interesting spot.
Thanks for the cache The Turriffs.

Found. Thanks for the cache hide. Found with *Throsbyonchurch* and *Little Panther*
I found this cache as a joint part of “Team” *Throsbyonchurch* and in which name the log book was signed. I now have my own account as I’m old enough to cache myself, so I am claiming a fair share of my earlier finds. As I had no caching name at the time there's no log in the book for me but I’m claiming the find under team ToC. Thank you for the hide.
I found this cache jointly with TOC and now I have my own account I am claiming my finds. My caching name is not in the log book though as I didn't have one. I can cache on my own now. Thank you for the hide.
Found it. TN LN TFTC. Didnt sign log as i had no pen, lost it somewhere on the way down. It was on dark 8:10pm and there was no way i was going back to the car to chase up a pen, especially as i was buggered just getting back to the car after finding the cache - steep hills, came in from the top. Should have gone straight at the intersection and headed in from the bottom near the main gate. Took a piccy of the log as proof. Had to come to Goulburn today so did some caching while here. It was great as every cache we visited took us to a part of Goulburn we have not seen before. So thank you for bringing us here. Had a great day.
On the way back from a holiday, had a nice meal in town, and then convinced the family for a small detour. Interesting spot.
Touring with KAT - Good spot to stop and a quick grab - Haven't been here for many years and good to see the tracks are still in great condition - Log signed TN Left Swap -TFTC
Touring with BAB - Good spot to stop and a quick grab - Haven't been here for so many years - How often we forget the great areas within our own local towns - Log signed TN Left Swap -TFTC
#1 of 13 today in Goulburn - Fresh morning air gave me a spring in my step after the drive down from the big smoke. Straightforward hide and a great start to the day. Thanks The Turriffs.
Tftc. Quick detour in to Goulburn tonight to continue our streak. Found quickly, thanks.
I haven't been up Mt Gray for years, so it was interesting to grab this cache part way up. Lots of tracks around and several possible hides at GZ, but found it in about the 3rd place I checked. No action at the speedway today.
Thanks
Thanks
Drove in too far at first but backtracked and then walked to GZ. Interesting facility here - TFTC!
I have driven past here on the highway so many times and never noticed this speedway. TFTC
