No joy here ( although thoroughly enjoyed reading up on the mystery person!) Have messaged to CO as things may be amiss- then again, it could just be me
Solving this was a lockdown boredom buster (along with other puzzle caches).
Thank you for saving my sanity in April, the effort in the log book was well worth the sit and read all the months after solving the puzzle

Solved this a few months ago, a particularly interesting person. FP from me for the subject! In the area for a course today, so took the opportunity to pick this one up. Found as per hint. All in good order, tftc!
now that I'm a premium member I am able to award favourite points, so I'm awarding some to the more memorable and enjoyable caches that I've found, added a favourite point for this one for the enjoyable puzzle and nice cache
#960. Time to collect a few caches to build my numbers to the 35 required for the Museum Mystery (this is #21) and a nice day for a walk with GB Leader in Porirua City.
Enjoyed solving this puzzle a few days ago, and was not disappointed with the hide when I found it. So well thought out, and well worth a Favourite Point.
Tftc Mrs SAROC.

Once I arrived at GZ I had to recheck a couple of things. The solved answer took me to the geochecker where there was further information - thanks Mrs SAROC.
Quick find where all good at GZ. Found with wb-jnr

Solved the puzzle last night with a little help from the older generation after not getting very far with the internet after a couple of hours. Nice one dad, better than Google! Of course we knew who it was and we'd gotten pretty close too with one of our guesses....
Retrieving the cache this morning I was a bit wary about the busy road but once closer to GZ it was much more secluded. A quick find and sign, thanks for the fascinating research, what a tale! Enjoyed the picture in with the Geochecker answer too - doesn't sugar-coat it!

Solved some time ago and after a bout of Christmas shopping nearby decided to grab this one today. A easy find, all quiet, safe, and dry. TFTC.
Solved this ages ago, had to pick up today to catch up Denomynator Cheers SAROC, nice remembrance and detailed container!
We enjoyed the research to discover who #3 was, and had no problems turning that information into co-ordinates.
We are caching our way to the Wellington Mega, concentrating on picking up solved puzzles along the way. We used the convenient parking and made a short walk to GZ. Once there the cache was found after just a brief hunt. Thanks.

I had a hunch on who this might be, and judicious Googling confirmed it. What a fascinating life!
I solved this before the recent CO log and didn't re-read it before searching. After waiting out a lingering muggle, I started searching GZ, trying not to disturb a pair of ducks who looked like they were nesting. When I couldn't find anything, I decided to check the logs and saw the CO's note. Redoing the geocheck turned up the correct coords, a little way down the road. The cache was found immediately!

Cache has been replaced back into a new position and is all good to go again. Please solve the puzzle and then use the set of coordinates calculated, in the Geocheck to obtain information on the whereabouts of the cache.
Trying to get it back up and running for the Mega, stay tuned with a Watch on the page.
Ops, sorry folks. Slipped the net. Just need to confirm with the Reviewer if the new position is still available.
Yep, Access to cache gone. Am working on a replacement location. Hope to have back up and running again before too long.
Access to this cache may be an issue due to developments occurring in the area. Disabling until a decision about its future is made.
Solved this a little while ago and today was the day for the find. Quickly retrieved. TFTC
I enjoyed working out who this was and my connection to something very dear to me and his name that is tributed to this. Would have liked to stay at gz longer to read the log book as looked very interesting but had places to be. Tftc. TB picked up, will log later
I had a suspicion who I was looking for but one clue nailed it. After that the answers followed easily and a green tick from Geocheck confirmed my solution. A quick find on the way out this morning.
A quick find with team geocacher Mr. T. What a great logbook! We enjoyed reading it. Thanks for this enjoyable cache, well worth a FP. Dropped a trackable (Canada's great white north).
This was one of those puzzles where I knew who the person was but I didn't know enough about them for the clues to lead me to them. Obviously figured it out in the end though. Then I couldn't figure out where the GPS was directing me at GZ. So I resorted to "where would I hide it?" instead. That turned out to be a faster find. The cache itself was really impressive - great booty and a first class log book. Didn't take or leave anything though.
Thanks for the cache. Had me going for a while. I was sure I knew the answer- but no. Love the logbook
Another one off the solved pile. And a dot day to boot. Another well decorated cache. Petty none of the whiskey left. Thanks for the puzzle and thanks for the cache.
#2412. Headed up to Porirua this morning as I needed to do several caches today. I had solved this puzzle some months back but hadn't got around to picking up the final. Nice puzzle. I guessed who the cache was about pretty much immediately after reading a few of the sentences. So it was quick to solve. Nicely presented cache. A lot of thought and effort went into this one. Signed the log. All hidden again as found. Thanks for the puzzle.
Nice puzzle and cache theme.
Cache is dry and in good condition although there is a thriving spider community around it... grabbed the TB as its been here for a few months.

One of my heroes so pleased to complete this one and enjoyed the themed cache. Worth a fav.
Another one to tick off the list. Pulled up next to GZ and, in between cars, Mr Splatatron went in search until I gave him the 'all clear' of no muggles. Surprised to find a TB here so picked up to move onward. TFTC!
Nice puzzle and great cache! the adventure with this person always fascinated us. short find at GZ today and we were amazed with the time and effort that had gone into this one! thanks! dropped nice geocoin so hopefully someone moves on sometime soon. TFTP and TFTC
On an expedition to locate a few solved Mrs SAROC caches, her cleverly themed puzzles and hides are a huge inspiration to us all, we appreciate the enormous time and effort you have taken to create these ingenious caches for us to enjoy, thank you.
Enjoyed the themed nature of the cache. My brother was at school with one of the mystery person's relatives. TFTC
This one took me a little while to solve.
A lot longer than it took me to find the cache.
Another great SAROC cache.
Thanks for hiding so many good caches with interesting puzzles and clever themed containers.

Yet another interesting and informative cache page and puzzle followed by a nice quick find of a very well themed cache. Mr and Mrs SAROC are definitely raising the bar of local geocaches! TNLNSL TFTC
Had struggled with solving this one but was spurred into trying again by wanting to use it for a challenge. It turned out that one of the reference sources I had used had a different answer to other sources. Rectified that but made a silly mistake which made me still slightly out, would have put me still in the right place but didn't give me the Geo check for the hint.
Maybe to lend atmosphere I should have done this in one of Wellington's "severe conditions" but that would mess up doing the challenge this week!
Another nicely themed Saroc puzzle with an interesting logbook.
The outside of the cache has acquired a bit of murk from sitting there unfound for so long but everything fine inside it.
My approach and return were very hasty, being seen acting suspiciously going into or out of could easily cause a bit of panic!
The place has quite a few memories for me associated with people using it, some happy memories which I can't explain without spoilers, but many sad and unfortunately one very tragic one.

Cache # 2,011 - Managed to get in just before the hail started today. Lovely puzzle, and usual great cache itself. Did with Violet Butterfly and Astro Hunter. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Found today with The Wandering Dragons and Astro Hunter. Loved the ice, and appropriate with the hail coming down! Swapped in a ninja for a diamond. Thank you!

#1212 Braved the rain late this morning to find some puzzles that I solved last night. Didn't take too long to work out the person in question and get the coordinates. Nice easy find when I got there and loved the cache- nicely themed. Gets a favourite point TFTC!
While staying with family nearby in Aotea, I decided to pop out this morning for a handful of caches. I had some spare time last night, so looked at a few puzzles in the area and soon figured out the subject of this cache and made a quick solve! A quick easy find at GZ - a nicely decorated/themed container and neat logbook - fav point added! TFTC!
Out with Just-Lookin and we soon found the good big cache.

Making an attempt at winter caching. Hard going, the weather is not cooperating at all.
Something of a sad and unhappy place this at times.
Sometimes I wonder who I am too!
Cache find was straightforward, all in order; log signed, safely re-hidden.
Cache was a novelty affair, enjoyed that thanks.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too

Great themed cache about one of Mrs TTs favourite people. Learnt a whole lot of new facts in the process, and really liked the themed logbook. Great stuff! TFTC
A nice day to be out and about getting some much needed exercise, good O.T as well. When your not used to it, sitting around taking it easy is hard to do. Another good puzzle, when I took the lid off the cache I could feel the energy coursing through my body. Cheers and TFTC
Find #2005. A miserable day, wet & cold so great for picking up odd caches in the Tawa area. Guessed this one quickly, checked Google maps for the final and added to my list to find today. Nice cache, love the log book. Gifting a favourite point because S is my hero! SL TFTC
Good to get the reward for some head scratching that occurred a while ago, all quiet early on a Sunday morning. TFTC, #6653, another favourite
A beautiful winter's day, so a perfect opportunity to catch up on a few local caches. This person certainly is an inspirational character. Didn't take too long to get a hunch who it might be, being already reasonably familiar with the exploits. Nicely put together and another good hiding spot. It's a wonder that these great hiding spots have remained unused for so long!

Quickly recognised this historic figure from some previous reading, and sorted the coordinates reasonably quickly. One of the clues needed a bit of a second look, but really enjoyed sifting out the correct information. Definitely an amazing historical figure and (without giving anything away) well worth "hero" status. As always the cache container and contents made me smile.
Well worth a fav point!

This cache formed part of our 2 day assault on Wellington puzzle caches (with a few traditionals thrown in as well) whilst we prepared to attend SAROCs Winter Solstice event and pick up Grunta1's Bakers Dozen challenge.
Took a couple of goes at the puzzle to get the correct answer from the geochecker but got there in the end! Also took a couple of goes to find the right "hint item" indicated in the hint. Blaming it on having to do this one at night! All good fun!
Loved the container contents - a favourite for the effort and making the cache that much different.
This was our last cache for the day, a day saw us collect 17 puzzle caches (11 in the SAROC series of puzzles) plus 12 traditional caches. Bring on tomorrow!

I think I ended up doing the search work twice after loosing the first output. Again out on a lovely sunny June afternoon and only had to compete with muggle drivers to find a parking spot and followed the wee trail to the final. Nice wee theme there too. TFTP & history + FAV
Solved a while back and decided to clean out a few puzzles in the area. Nice size cache and enjoyable puzzle. Thanks for the cache. Did with Mycro Man
I solved the puzzle a couple of weeks ago and had a chance to call round to the final this morning. I have found a few caches in this series now and each time I am enchanted by the terrific presentation. Thanks!
As I read the description, I felt I knew the answer, but then one of the clues threw me off.
Went searching for another person for a while, then eventually came back to my original (correct) guess.
Very quick find of another well themed cache.

Popped in on the way to town today with little blue hen. Mid morning and a quick find ensued as the area was muggle free. Another favourite cache point for a well constructed puzzle and superbly put together cache container. We both had a chuckle as the lid was lifted. Have to report that one of the occupants leapt out and we had to chase it through the undergrowth. Thankfully it was eventually captured and returned to base. Took longer than expected due to a little bit of consumption. TFTCSL Bring on number #4 [^]
Have to own up to the fact that Bkj97 did the puzzle solving but happy to be in on the GZ hunt. Great cache and the cache page, geochecker page and the actual container were all of a very high standard. Well worth a favourite point. [^] T4TCSL TN but helped return the escapee.
Guessed right first time but then completely misread one of the questions regarding knighthood. I must have put the date I received my knighthood with the cache's recipient.. Must get round to locating the finals for these excellently put together caches.
As I read the description, a name came to mind. This was quickly dismissed as I read further as was a second name. By the time I reached the end, I had settled on a third and I was delighted to see my hunch proved to be correct. I have a family name (maybe family?) connection with one of this person's close associates so the topic is of particular interest to me.
I have been to the general area where the cache is located several times before but not previously for geocaching. It should not have come as much of a surprise to see such a neatly put together container and contents.
Thanks, Mrs SAROC, for another high quality geocache.

Once again, an excellent puzzle with an interesting subject. I did some googling and followed a hunch to identify the suspect. Fantastically-themed goodies in the cache. Well done!
Another great puzzle and cache by Team SAROC. Picked up TB (which I don't was one of the expedition problems). TFTC
A subject I knew something about, so filling in the blanks wasn't too hard and got the green tick first go. Had to play the waiting game to visit the well themed cache and log as I had an all day training today and needed some nearby caches that would be a quick find for lunchtime. TFTP
Too easy to work this one out as I had recently done some research on that very person, and that person's journeys when placing one of my own caches not too long ago. No doubt the CO will likewise have no problem doing my cache when they visit it And a most interesting person to read about without a doubt.
No problems with the find today, not too busy near GZ. Well worth a favourite as I am really enjoying the series, and the well themed caches.

Another great cache in the Mrs SAROC series, highly recommended. Made this my cache of the day to keep a "streak" alive - I had solved the puzzle shortly after publication and was out this way today so dropped by GZ for a quick find. Loved the logbook with the interesting historical notes. Definitely gets a favourite point!

What more could I want? A Puzzle cache I could work out, and a chance to find it within seven days of publication to enable it to be counted towards the FTF option for the DGSC. TFTC. Didn't take the TB as we had met before...
A quick find on a rather wet night. An interesting puzzle and well themed final. TFTC
WOW another FTF.. Saw this cache when it was published but was a bit out of the way to say, actually I was up in Kapiti and was seeing customers and during the spare time while waiting for appointments I decided what is a cacher suppose to do, solve a puzzle or two off course. It didnt take too long for me to narrow down the subject and once I managed to do this it wasnt long before I got the required answers that I required. After getting an answer that I was happy with I thought was correct checked with Geochecker and got a tick.
After finishing all my appointment up the coast I thought as I was heading South surely this cache has gone, but still hadnt seen any logs, so thought that I might give this one a go, arriving near GZ I noted the area was closed off at the north end, driving t the south end I noted that it was too closed and then I noticed the local constabulary was having thier daily exercise, decided to go away and come bac again later in the day.
Arriving back after lunch I noted that the area was still cornered off[xx(][:(!][|)]
And then an hour later, and another and another
Finally late in the afternoon surely they must be gone I soon decided that it was time to give it one more go, load and behold yah[B)][:o)], they were gone. Managed to find a parking spot not too far from GZ and then it was a short walk to GZ, arriving at GZ FINALLY!!!!!, and found the cache quickly in the first spot that I looked, openned the cache to find an empty logbook, really glad that I finally managed to get this cache after all the attempts, and another FTF to boot. TFTC TNLNSL (7898) Yeetrees FTF craze also came along as well, thanks for the experience of making this a multi visit cache so for this I will give you a fravourite point.

A joint 2TF with WaffleKitties! Saw this recently published cache tonight and decided to have a go solving it. Managed to work out the puzzle quite quickly, despite not knowing much about the subject. Saw that GZ was not too far away so decided to have a go for the FTF... of course we were beaten by the one and only Yeetrees! Love the cache presentation, gets a favourite point
