My first find of the second day of my couple of day trip to the beautiful Blue Mountains, TFTC
took us a while but we found it! my first in a couple years, glad to be doing this again!
Quick find at the start of a walk on a theoretical 'rest day'. Technically all terrain was very friendly but it was pretty hot. I parked at Ada St planning to only do two caches but the rest looked too nice not to attempt. Nice walk!
I’m grateful that Patty52 in a previous log said she’d used a stick to scratch her name and for the surprising effectiveness of this!We did the same after making a rookie error and not bringing a pen. I grew up on the other side of the train tracks in Blackheath and decided to visit a few spots over here with the geokids in a brief break in the drizzle while visiting the parents. Thanks walk there for placing and maintaining this cache.
This was a quick find. Track is very muddy but plenty of people out enjoying the beautiful weather. We looped around from Centennial Glen today. What a cracker of a walk. Tftc
Quick start to my GC walk. Tftc. I found this little fella but leaving them here. G
TFTC - I’ve been living just around the corner from this cache since last October- was a bit slow to find my new local geocache! Glorious spot - walked past here many times.
This one took a little bit of searching but we ended up finding it. TFTC!
Found after a short search. Cache was surprisingly dry after all the rain lately. TFTC
Bit of a walk down and up again, spotted by Loz. View from street is interesting.
We moved back to our van full time just few days ago and decided to head back to Blue mountains first thing. After couple days in Lithgow and nice hike to glow worm tunnels, we decided to drive to Katoomba. Yesterday we did the cliff walk and saw Mermaid cave. Today just touring around and after some caches! This one was quick find, tftc?
Feel like I need to come back here and complete the full hike on the trail. Great spot TFTC

Streak Day #2476 - Up this way with Dave8153 for a quick find, some exercise and a damp log. TFTC
Fotz & Rich found this several days ago. Log wet and tin lid missing but nice spot, not much views (as mentioned) through the trees though. TFTC
Pretty small but easy find. No lid and log wet, container probably needs an upgrade.
CLANKIRK kids found it easy! TYFC!
however, cache is destroyed by water. Will try to return and replace paper and tin soon.

Early morning caching on the first day of a four day holiday in the blue mountains. Smoke is still around and most likely will be for a while. We will have to deal with and adjust our program accordingly and respect the restrictions due to the fires around. Hopefully RFS will get on top of it soon.

Found tyftc. Spending a day driving this trail after 3 days of state tennis tourn. Mother nature is just beautiful. Trying to beat a local geo to 1500 finds before dec 31.
I’d headed up to the Mountains to babysit my 6 month old grandson whilst his parents went to a wedding. With some time to kill I set out to pickup some caches around Blackheath.
A quick and easy find.

While Mum went shopping the boys and I cruised out from Leura, through Katoomba, Medlow Bath and Blackheath, nabbing caches as we went. Coordinates weren't too bad, homed us in on what looked to be the hide, but no luck. Widening a few metres, Samuel found the cache. Not suited to this hide/environment, the lid is broken off and all a little damp. TFTC

A nice round trip around to Lithgow then to home. This was one of 11 finds for the day

Found with Warrick after doing the Collier’s Causeway and Porter’s Pass track. TFTC
After a short bush walk, where frazeydaze encountered a small joe blake, we were soon at gz. After poking around for a mint tin in the bush, grumble grumble, frazeydaze called that she had found a mint tin in the bush. SL which was a bit damp and returned cache to its hide.TFTC.
Saw a snake as we walked along the path towards gz (only a small, long, slithery one). Oldmorty and I found a lovely old log which I was sure would have contained a mint tin, but no. Widened the search and found the prize. Signed a nice soggy log nearing disintegration. TFTC walk there.
Quick find - glad we chose the easier way in. Lid of the cache is broken and all the paper is soaked. Needs new paper and a plastic bag, sorry we didn't have any with us. TFTC
Took a little bit of searching but found it after a while. Could do with a bit of TLC. TFTC
Cheers,

Fairly quick and easy. Geo-mum found it in the end after a brief search. 6/6 cache for the day. TFTC!
