Found with e.gregory1 as we made our way northwards along Marble Bar Road on a trip from Adelaide to north-western WA. Quick find here after crossing the red powdery dust of the freshly ploughed road verges. Thanks for the cache jasenjanine!
Found on a trip to Western Australia from Adelaide with FeatherWaite. We camped south of Newman last night, then continued to make our way north finding caches of interest along the way.A quick park and grab here. Thanks jasenjanine for the cache.
The days of FIFO are over and we have relocated back to the Pilbara for endless adventures. We headed out for a day of RnR and to grab a few smilies along the way with the geopups, happy to say we came up trumps here and walked away with a smiley TFTC jasenjanine
Travelling up north with mudnCraig. We camped near Newman for the night and left early in the morning. Quick find even in the dark, tftc!
Looks like some earthworks is going on around the area. Was still able to access cache.
Flew in to Ginbata Airport for a quick grab began work. Worried on the long term life of the host due to pipeline construction right next to it. TFTC
A quick stop here to stretch the legs after the bumpy drive from Nullagine
I hope it's not up there !!
Wherever the cache was,
I found it without too much leg stretching

Great find. Thanks. Took nothing but left a little sample of what is mined in the area.
Thanks for this. Found whilst up this way. Signed log and in good condition. Cheers
Found this afternoon after dropping an oversize up the road. Thanks for placing this here, makes my trip home much more fun. The red dust matches the rust on the iron. TFTC
Couple of weeks at Roy Hill and find number 2. If i'm back i hope to grab some others tftc.
Hi there jasenjanine.
We found your cache **"Spinifex & Iron"** today. (This makes our find count 22715).
We cached around Roy Hill today,as well as attempting some caches around Ophthalmia Dam . We found your cache **"Spinifex & Iron"** at 10:56:00 AM. (This brings our total find count to 22715). We had an interesting trek around the area & found 11 caches today & DNF'd 0.
Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 3m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny

Arrived at gz and looked at the terrain eating and thought well it must be up there, but no, climbed down and looked down and there it was tftc
Many thanks to richlink for replacing the logbook here. You wouldn’t read about it, but i had a trip to Headland today and was going to stop by and do it myself on the way back. They beat me to it by about an hour
Quick find as we headed up the road a bit. Replaced log sheet in new plastic bag. Thanks jasenjanine
Tftc Needs maintenance. Found under quite a bit if dead grass
Book has been waterlogged and stuck together.
I unstuck a page to note found.
Put back in corner a little higher so off ground

Grass has grown around and now dead. Despite logbook being in a plastic bag, inside a mint tin, it looks like the logbook has been waterlogged at some stage. All the pages are now stuck together.
With the last log being a DNF and seeing that another cacher had found the hides either side of this one (but not logged this one), i thought i might stop by for a look.
Sadly, there has been some serious roadworks going on near GZ. Thankfully though, the main stucture has been left alone for now ... although almost all of the rest of the old infrastructure has been flattened, including the water tank and two other water troughs!
I found the cache very quickly though on the structure, as it was not placed as intended. I have placed it back as i originally hid it close to the ground. It was in good condition and dry.
Hopefully they leave this little piece of history alone .. and the cache as well.
Happy Hunting [^]

After having quite an enjoyable stay in Newman it was now time again to start heading north and see where caching took us only aiming as far as Marble Bar today.
Like others we don't enjoy mint tins in the bush but when they are a nice easy find like this and show you an interesting location it's a different matter. We parked and headed off to gz trying to avoid as many prickles as possible which turned out to be nearly impossible but the different colour wild flowers took away some of the pain.
Thanks once more for the cache and for bringing us here.

Travelling from Marble Bar to Newman, we enjoyed this short break in our journey. Thanks for the nice hide!
Enjoyed travelling along the picturesque road from Nullagine through to Newman. First time we had ever ventured this way, so it was quite interesting. Imagine the cattle would have relied heavily on this watering hole at some point. TFTC
No problem finding the cache on my drive from Newman to Port Hedland via Marble Bar. I had to wait for a very slow moving truck on its way to the nearby mine before I could turn off the road towards the windmill and tank. Thanks for the cache Jasenjanine.

Found a while ago and while reviewing for new caches I discovered I missed two.
We were at the start of a trip through to the Karlamillyi National park and did not get home for a while and plenty of time without coverage. TFTC

Around sunset this road is very busy. Yep digging has certainly taken over from grazing in these parts.
Found while travelling through this lovely area. Thanks for putting a cache out here! Cache in good order
A quick turn off from the road, which is currently being upgraded, and this cache was soon in hand.

We saw this when it was first published but sadly we were heading off on the road to the west. After doing a tour of the northwest we are finally heading home again (not looking forward to the cold and wet!!). Picked this up after being gobsmacked by the sheer size of the Roy Hill project just up the road. More of our hills are about to go to Japan and then we'll buy it all back as steel. Stopped for a cuppa and a rest here and grabbed the cache. Yes, nature is reclaiming some of her minerals back here. TFTC
After a day at Roy Hill, I decided to pull over and find this cache.
Managed to drive right up to GZ. Tripped over the barb wire on the ground, but made the find.
Not much left of this structure.
TFTH jasenjanine.
