Just grabbing a few caches in the area today. Sneaky little hide in plain sight. Took me a while to wind up the log. Lol TFTC
Thanks for the cache found nice and quickly love the description with this cache
Great day to get a smiley! Beautiful weather and a quick find! Which is great as I saw a fewCritters near by with some decent nippers on them great history here, TFTC
Thanks for the interesting information on the cache page. We were in the area today, and had some time to grab a few of the local caches. Not too many places to check before we had the cache in hand.Cheers sorceysal.
On a quick holiday from Perth. No pen so I didn't sign it but very cool little cache. Thankyou.
The sun was shining. I could have even imagined I was back in the future. Found on the Mega Capital Geobash coastal loop via Adelaide - Barrington - coast to Mexico City loop. A lot of caches and white line fever was sweated out. Thanks sorceysal and clear skies from TeamAstro. Cache the planet! Some logs signed as TAD as teamed up with Tenkae and Deanside for additional fun. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Very interesting bit of history.Found the cache quite quickly, signed the log and off we go to find some more caches in the area.TFTC.
Not today, gps zero ground was in middle of three structures Although new it was small after looking for 15 min called time
Need quite a bit of geosense to find this one. Great history lesson, thanks. Gosh, people were made of strong stuff back in the day
came back here for a second attempt. really thought this one was never going to be found but then i checked to see which of my friends had found it. luckily for me there was afew that would be able to help. just as i was about to message someone, the words came out of my friends mouth. "i think i've found it!" and found it was! the message ended up going through but it would no longer be of any use. glad we got this one out of the way that had been bothering me for a month to the day
On my way to Ballarat to do the Geo Tour but as I was coming along freeway I did a left hand turn into Bachus Marsh to grab a few caches.
Sl thanks for the cache.

Was difficult, we looked everywhere but in the end couldn’t see where it could have been.

Heading home after a weekend down in the big smoke with my buddy.
I stopped off in Bacchus Marsh to check out the opp shop then decided to tackle a couple of the Labs.
Picked this one up while getting a lab location at same time.

While staying in Melbourne we picked up a few caches in the area and this was one of them.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Last one for the day before heading back up the hill to Ballarat. Took a few minutes to put my hand in the right spot and feel the cache, however all was good and the neat little hide was exposed. Log initialed, cache returned and it was back to the car and off for home.
Thanks for this one sorceysal....cache all good.

Unfortunately it wasn’t for us to find today - 37 degree heat so didn’t stay too long in the heat. Will try another day
Interesting spot

My gps was all over the place here, suggesting three possible structures. Whenever i moved toward one of them it would indicate one of the others. So i had quite a search for this tricky one. When i eventually found the little fella it had fallen to the ground. After signing i popped it back where i think it may have come from, i hope it is ok for the next finder.
The Trip
I think the stars have finally aligned for a two night trip, caching and camping along the Great Dividing Range. It seems that every time i have planned a caching trip in the last six months something has come up to thwart my plans or cut my trip short. I have high hopes that this week it will be perfect.
I started at Moorabool Reservoir and will be collecting caches from there in the direction of Riddells Creek although i have a lot to find so am unlikely to make it that far. The weather is glorious and there is a cool lilt in the air which makes for a pleasant change from home, and the shady forests are vibrant.
Champagne caching!

While on my way to the MEGA event in Whittlesea, I had the opportunity to get in a few extra days of caching beforehand. This got me to go to areas I would not have normally seen and to some awesome caches. Today I arranged to meet up with the girls and we would do some caches around Ballarat, fill in some grid spaces, grab some as we passed and look at some labs. We had fun chasing Xmas trees, letterboxes and the odd virtual.
Did this one while we were doing an adventure lab, it took us a little time and even though I checked and checked this one still avoided me, but my third check and the thorough one made the find. Log is getting pretty full on this one. We signed the log and continued on to the next challenge.

Found this while attending the Whittlesea mega.
Depending on the log size and who I was with this is signed as nikid1, ND1 or TQ5 (team Queensland).
The group of us from the north decided to spend a day in Ballarat but we had to stop in at BM on the way though. What a lovely town with a lovely main street.
This took our team much longer than it should of with it finally being found in a place we all checked, or at least thought we had.
We took the third last spot on the log so a replacement will be needed soon.

What a great bit of history !!! Never stopped to wonder who Bacchus Marsh was named after. Cheeky little hiding spot thanks for bringing us here
Fun, adventure, travel, history, geology, mental stimulation, social gatherings, support and friendship are just some of the elements of geocaching.
Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??
Thanks sorceysal for placing this cache and adding to our game.

I paired up with OzHockeyChick for todays adventure. Up early (arghh) to join the crew for breakfast in Bacchus Marsh followed by a CITO tree planting… and maybe a cache or ten!
We snuck a few caches in between events. I found this one but couldn’t get the cache open and had to resort to the assistance of a multi tool. Hopefully it’s ok now.
Thanks sorceysal for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

This cache was a sneaky little hide that Spiffy- struggled on but I managed to get lucky on.
Thanks to sorceysal for the fun and the adventure.

Found at 12:43 pm.
After a very product tree planting CITO this morning along Werribee river and after being fueled up from the morning tea there we headed off to do the adventure labs and associated bonus caches in town.
While doing this, this was so close by we had a look. Well, I had a terrible look but Fleabag- found it where I had just looked.
Thanks sorceysal for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

After attending an event and a CITO in Bacchus Marsh, Chook joined forces with micaparamedic to find some caches in and around town. A beautiful church with interesting history about Captain Bacchus. TFTC sorceysal.
Little bit of a stroll around town before the event tomorrow cuppa tea time and plant a tree
I always assumed that Bacchus Marsh was named after the Roman god of wine and debauchery, so I’ve learned something today. A quick find and sign at GZ. Love the story of the preacher that decided to upskill to bushranging. Thanks for this cache sorceysal, I shall look for more NPOBMs next time I pass through, but just this one for today.
Out for a days caching with the Geobro and it’s a lovely day. First for the day filled a gap in the D/T matrix .
News break - it wasn’t a find as an extra maze was present but had dropped off so not retrieveable

Stopped for some lunch very close after doing the Lab waypoint nearby and then realised there was a traditional as well. So back we went and soon found the little devil!
This was our second day in Ballan, but we decided to focus on the Adventure Labs in Bacchus Marsh and then collect whatever we passed nearby. The idea sort of worked, but we ended up doing a lot of backtracking and covering the same ground. All the same we picked up some trades, multis and a puzzle or two on our way. Another great day was had.
Bacchus Marsh strikes us as a smallish country town that has grown quickly and the infrastructure is struggling to keep up. It was at time slow to get around. The town contains some great history.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache sorceysal.

Second time lucky walked up to the area and had it secured in minutes. Must remember tweezers and a pen
Very very well done so tiny and difficult to find took me a good while amazing job
Love love love! Thank you so much for showing me this! A favourite from me cause I love all things graves
Found with Bogonghazy as part of our 2 hr exercise limit. We continually used sanitiser to maintain the integrity of the cache and contents. Thanks for the cache sorceysal
I missed finding this when we were last in town about a month ago. While partner got breakfast next door (almost) I returned to this cache. After a short search and waiting for the GPS to settle I used the advice that the coordinates were accurate and went to the closest location and looked around. Sure enough it was quickly found. The log is about half full and in a good, dry condition. The church with the grave and gravestones are beautiful and interesting.
Stopped for a coffee and the GPS said 33 metres, couldn't help myself Thanks For The Cache
13 April 2021,always admired these churches so it was nice to stop and look. Never realized there were graves here
Stopped in Bacchus Marsh for a Coffee on route from Ballarat to Melbourne. Accurate coordinates made this an easy find. Quickly signed sealed and returned to its hiding place. Thanks for the historical diversion.
In the area doing a couple of adventure labs so just had to find this little fellow. Loved the history lesson and the hide too. Many thanks

Out with Omegaman1971 for our last big days caching of 2020, We decided to head out West to what I call the western waste lands, sure is dry out here compared to where I live in Gippsland. We had a great day out doing some great caches and most were decent size containers or novel hides. We all so did three lab caches in the area.
This was one of the caches we did on our travels. Nice History lesson on this one.
Thanks sorceysal for the cache.

Catching up /with a missed log now logged in Sep 2022
After having a great weekend away caching with micaparamedic, goodluck chook n chunk it was time to head home but there was still a few cache to get on our way.
We were actually here doing the latest lab cache when this one popped up onto the screen so we thought that we would give it ago and are glad we did. Captain Bacchus certainly lived an interesting life as the cache page describes and we enjoyed the read, Once at gz we located the cache after a brief search as the kids from the nearby house came out to play on their trampoline and started talking to us as they bounced. We had a brief chat to be polite and then we were able to safely return the container as there heads were out of sight on each bounce.
Many thanks sorcysal for the history and the hide,

Heading out of Bacchus Marsh, we quickly stopped by this cache on the way.
Admired the very fancy churches looming overhead before beginning our search.
Took a while to get started, but after looking through some past logs and investigating a bit closer, the logbook was signed.
Thanks for placing this cache and continuing to highlight the history of the area.

I was driving home from the St Arnaud Mega and decided to break up the journey with a few caching stops along the way. Bacchus Marsh was pretty busy but I ended up parking pretty close to this one. It took some time for the GPS to settle but with some caching practice over the weekend I didn't take long to find it. TFTC!
Parked close by for my morning coffee hit and went for a quick stroll to locate this one.
An interesting read up on the Captain and I soon located his cache.
The log is full so I signed a PS somewhere on the log.
Thanks sorceysal TFTC.

Having called into Bacchus Marsh to have a look around, decided to check what caches were about.
My phone’s gps was playing up & all over the place, so I sat & contemplated while it settled down.
It then led me straight to the cache.
Signed as ‘FS’.
Log book is full.

With the GOS jumping around, this one took us longer to find than it should have, but a good first find of the day!
