Nice little afternoon adventure for me! I got off the road as much as a could without ending up in the ditch! TFTC!!
Day #9 of my Summer Holiday through the Catlins to Invercargill and over to Te Anau for New Years then back to Invercargill. Time to head home with a few stops and target caches along the way. Bit of a detour here but rewarded with a nice quick find TFTC
No longer long grass here but cache is still here under rocks and stone at same post. TFTC

Sadly a DNF for me spent quite some time searching every post near GZ looks like a bit of maintenance has been done there is no longer any long grass around the posts and gravel dragged around each one to tidy it up, cache may be covered or gone????????
No find for us today, but the hint appears to no longer be relevant as it looks as though the car park has been 'renovated' somewhat.
Sorry. I think I missed logging quite a few on this date. 5 years later, going thru fotos to remind me, I'm catching up. We stopped for this on the way north from Invercargill. The Queen's Park tulips were splendid when we set out from there. Thank you Gemopal2
A nice quick find today. Cheers.
Time to have a holiday road trip, and today we started the road home, via Alexandra, to collect a few TMGT and other caches.
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

Finally no one at GZ, but no cache either. Empty container spotted close to, but not at, the hint object. No lid + no logbook = no cache. But wait, what's this? Even further away is the log in a plastic bag - and it's only a little bit damp.
Reunited log and container, but no sign of lid, and having just done a road trip my caching bad is in the other car. Buggar.
So tucked lidless container back where I though it should be, added a few more stones to the cairn.
Hesitant to log a needs maintenance as I'm sure the CO is not active. Will replace container next time I'm out this way unless someone else does.

Flying out early afternoon so came in with hubby (far too early) this morning. Four hours with the car before head to the airport, so let's go caching!
Not having much luck seen I come here. Last time it was someone having their lunch break, today there is someone sitting in a road grader at the back of the hall overlooking GZ.
Another return trip will be needed.

#14609. With the CANZ cache in the bag, it was time to head to Invercargill (and coffee), with a few stops for drive bys along the way. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalker on day 3 of our road trip to the Oamaru Geofest, taking the scenic route, of course. Today we are travelling from Manapouri to Invercargill.
After a wee detour to Forest Hill to find the Southland CANZ cache, we are finally en route to Ingill - via a few more caches. A quick find. TFTC.

Driving around the plains and caching. Traffic was quiet on Sunday afternoon. TFTC.
#4097. Day 2 of the southern adventure. Have flown south to attend a conference at Te Anau over Queens Birthday weekend and we stopped for the night in Invercargill. Plan is to do some caching on the days before and after the conference. Enjoyed taking in the ocean scenery from Lands End and up on Bluff Hill. Now heading north to Te Anau but a quick stop here first. Parked the car and discovered we were right next to the cache. Soon had the log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for hiding it here Gemopal2.
Just another hall on a quite country corner . . . . until suddenly we were not alone and ½ doz cars pulled up as we were returning the cache. tftc
Man it was windy here at Grove Bush this morning. No worries with the find. TFTC #10,008
A great weekend caching with ingidayna, with 41 caches done in and around Invercargill. A quick easy find. TFTC
Easiest cache yet! Tried to push it down as far as possible so no muggles find it. ByoP.
Oh wow my first time doing this and I found it I went too about 4 areas around there before I found it
I was on my way back to Invercargill after doing the CANZ cache and a few others when this one popped up on the radar.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Smiled at coming here, as a teenagers I used to come here to Young Farmers dances, loved those days, tftc
A re-visit checking a problem cache in area. The roading company had unloaded gravel at the carpark though cache was found lidless nearby with log intact.
Found the lid after replacement in situ. Same size. Happy caching.

Straightforward find in early morning fog, while in Invercargill. Thanks for the cache.
On a caching trip today with some fellow cachers. Called into cache on a round circuit from wyndham, mataura and hedgehope. tftc
Quick and easy find, tipped out a centimetre of water from the container - dont think these containers are overly waterproof. TFTC
Log book is wet and barely able to be signed. Unfortunately it is past the point of drying out naturally as our warmer weather approaches.
A quick find while on the way to visit nearby family. Log book was wet but just managed to sign it. T4TC
A couple of half days down south. Lots of new caches since I was here last. Thanks for hiding them!
A quick find while out for a drive today. My pen wouldn't work so I took a photo of the log instead. TFTC
From the top of Bluff Hill to a few kilometres from Hedgehope. Good days caching. Thanks Gemopal2.

An enjoyable short trip out for this one, a quick find however it was quite difficult to open the container without damaging it.
Thanks for the cache Gemopal2
