A routine archiving. But probably just as well as when I went to retrieve the container I found that a new drain has been installed as part of the work to repair the nearby slip damage mentioned in recent logs, and the contractors have disturbed the cache. Fortunately they left it in place but it was very exposed.

The cache is still accessible but right on the edge of the construction zone. It can be retrieved safely although need to park further round Bay road and walk along the inlet path - it's a very pleasant walk so no hardship. We did explore down the path by the seat for the guardian but wasn't sure what we were looking at, so didn't recognize it if we did see it. TFTC #133

Best place to come for a walk on a beautiful day! Good I found it quickly, as there was a man with a pet goat on a leash soon after, and a whole group of very loud women on my way back. TFTC!!

Found this one a couple of week when on a nostalgic visit to Purakaunui where I lived between 1987 and 1999. Love this place and the first time I've cached here ... just the one find. I think Purakaunui needs some more caches, so I might do something about that one day.

SL. Thanks for the hide U.N.C.L.E.

Final find on a hot summer's day out with the Wednesday Walkers. Forgot to look for the Guardian -- maybe next time. Apologies for late log -- too much house maintenance.

A nice quick find. The guardian is not so obvious from the new co-ordinates according to one in our group who had found the cache before the update on co-ordinates.

Found on a combined families' picnic lunch. Awesome day - there's few occasions where I'm tempted for a swim but the water in the inlet was warm enough to do so. TFTC.

Apparently the system won't let me enable the cache unless I write a comment- even though I have nothing I need or want to say about the enablement. Weird.

10-Jan-15
After the run of DNFs I thought I better check. The cache is gone, probably muggled. I will organize a replacement, probably in a slightly different hiding place.

No joy with this one today after a good scratch around the "obvious" possibilities.

Had a decent look around all the bushes in the area and yet we still couldn't find it. Will have to try again another time. Lovely place though!

Met the Guardian after a short and rather steep climb down from the road. His domain looked lovely. Watched the tide pushing with strands of seaweed trailing out in the flow. Such a delightful place.

It took us quite a while to find this cache today, despite the coordinates being accurate, and indeed, close to the guardian. Because of our approach direction, we didn’t immediately recognize the guardian, but were soon at the right angle to identify it. FTF at 1.20 p.m. TFTC

I was at a family gathering in Port, so after the meal I suggested to the other Ws that we drive over for a look see.
It was a beaut of an afternoon, warm and clear skies.
We parked up by the bench then we all went for a look. Miss W, usually not interested in caching, made the find pretty quickly. We then headed off for the other one.
