Day 2 in Wedderburn, doing some sightseeing while caching around the area.
Made our way to GZ, but only found a log book.
Put it into a container, and hid where we thought.
CO should check.
Many thanks for placing this cache, the old blokes, for us and others to find.

Claiming this as a find, meaning we found the cache (broken) and the log book (front cover) and a high-lighter pen. Logging a maintenace request.

17-Jan-15
Found a smashed container, the cover from the log book and a pink high-lighter. Looks like muggles have been up there with a bonfire.

17-Jan-15
Sadly we only found remains of this cache. Looks to have been fatally muggled. Report sent by Nards

17-Jan-15
This is such a tempting hill for Muggles to climb, the cache has finally been destroyed. Therefor have had to Archive.

08-Nov-14
Carefully tread on the way up and especially on the way down.

Was geocaching with rusty0316 today. We found a total of 11 during the drive and saw some pretty sights in the bush near Wedderburn, and rusty0316 had a look at some old machinery. I am going to award a couple of favourites for a couple of caches we found today. Sneaky, well hidden caches from devious minds, no doubt.

Beautiful views but slightly hazy.

We found this cache today at 12:40pm as number 7 of 16 on our Bi-annual trip from Melbourne to Renmark. We drove around, probably drove a bit too far as the road was a bit rutted in a couple of spots but all was ok, then we parked around at the back. The hill wasn't too much of a stretch and the cache was soon in hand. Thanks from D, HA & H B-A.

Found. Thanks heaps. Wedderburm, gotta love it. Tftc

Today I was not feeling the best and wasn't able to make it to work. However I needed to get out and get some fresh air, not remain stuck at home, so I decided to go for a drive and grab some caches that were close to the road and reasonably close to home.

I knew it!!! I just knew it!!!!!

Just from the name I had an idea on what to expect and I was not disappointed.

I found a well used track in and was very soon parked near GZ. I wandered up to the cache and signed the log.

As I did I sung a song made famous by the Coodabeen Champions....

Oh the grand old duke of York,
He had ten thousand men,
He put them all on Tony Lockett,
And he still kicked ten!

Out in the area caching today, as usual had a great day and enjoyed the hunt. The find gave a sense of satisfaction and achievement. Many thanks the old blokes for placing this cache.

After a pleasant day in Wedderburn yesterday we decided to do a few more cache here before heading home with Micaparamedic and The Coffees.
We approached this one from two different directions, Micaparamedic and i took a more 4wd option than The Coffees but we both ended up in the same place just 80 metres short of gz.
Mrs Coffee soon had the cache in hand and we were all adding our names tot he log.
Thanks once more the old blokes for the cache.

Sully1 had us slip-sliding away here on the road in after all the rain of the last 24 hours. It was getting dark now,but fortunately there was enough light to find this one. We then tried a couple of different exits, and it was only expert handling of the geo-prado from Sully, that we made our way safely out.
These tracks can be a real challenge in the wet.
Thanks again the old blokes for another well named cache here in town

Last find of the day with bogonghazy on our day out in the area. The Geo Prado was slippin' a bit here on the way in. We found and logged the cache, and tried a diff track out. No go. U Turn. Diff track. Somehow I got us off the designated track into a very narrow disused grass run behind someones house. Its now dark, the Prado was a slippin in the mud, and my hearbeat was a missin' in the midst of it all. BH got out and viewed the track ahead and guided me in the dark. A few times the wheels dropped into holes, and I was starting to feel a little anxious. Should have more faith in my car. Its way more capable of these situation than the driver is. Was pleased to finally hit bitumen again. (and could see the track we SHOULD have exited on). Thanks for the smilie though, it was all worth it. I was humming more than the Grand Ol' Duke of York Smile

Found while out caching with Fergzter while attending the Wedderburn events. I had to sing the song while heading to this cache, which was quickly found. TFTC.

Find No. 639. Found with FUF009 at 2.49pm

Now this one tested the legs out plus we had to be careful of the motor bike riding around in the area. Luckily he seen us and slowed down. Got to the area where the cache was hidden and pretended to have a rest while waiting for the bikie to disappear, then quick - grab it before he comes back. Yes we succeeded.

Took a pink frog plus a green/yellow frog - Left orange dinosaur and a girl figure.

I also took TB from this cache.

# 6334. Time for Robmc and I to chase a few caches before The Lunch-time event. The M.A.S.H Series seems like a good idea for a quick few. We then visited the Duke as the last one before lunch.

We thought a few marches might give us a good appetite but one trip up the hill was enough in the end. Left a lovely Geocoin here to continue its journey. And, now to go and meet everyone.

Thanks the old blokes

what a great view looked and looked until holzcotz gave the signal she had the cache another great hide tftc

Found by Mary & David at 1115. How romantic with mistletoe everywhere on the way in, but David was concentrating on negotiating the muddy track and didn't notice. The GeoPrado loved it though. After a lot of Earthcaches, we found ourselves commenting on the quartz and conglomerate rocks. Found the cache after a short search. Our thanks to the old blokes.

We overthought this a bit - being influenced by the rhyme, which of course kept going around in our heads. Time was ticking away, but eventually Chunk found it. Enjoyed walking up and over and around the hill though.

Yep, this one got us for a little while 1/2 way up or 1/2 way down, or is it on top or down the bottom?

Found during our stay in Wedderburn for the Wedderburn Events with LionJRB.

Up we went. LionJRB trumpeted the tune all the way up where the cache was easily located. After admiring the view for a few minutes we gingerly descended and made our way to the next geocache.

A great cache. Thanks to The Old Blokes.

The event day in Wedderburn - always a good turn with excellent caches, and this year was no exception. We (BettyBoo3747 and I) started the morning sleeping in then dashed out and did the Mash series before lunch. We then joined The Morris for a few of the further out caches. Dinner to come!
We didn't have 10 thousand men with us today, but we did feel a bit like the Grand Old Duke.
We parked at the base and did our thing Smile
Thanks, Robmc.

Find #1577 @ 1449H

Found with Mrs Tyred n Cranky

We had to keep our eyes on the motorbike that was going around the bush here. When we were walking up the hill he was coming up the other side but he did do the right thing and slow down for us, thankfully.
When up top we waited for him to ride off before we extracted the cache from its hide.

Four of us were looking in a different spot when Holzcotz whistled our secret code for letting each other know we have located the cache. We signed the log, looked at the few and moved on! TFTC
