On a road trip with Net61 from Blenheim to Kaikoura collecting caches as we head south. Quick find here. A family of snails is guarding the cache. TFTC
We were in the stopping for caches groove today and this was our second stop. I'd been keeping my eye out for a darker sign, but still had time to stop when I spotted the mostly yellow one currently on display. spacenarwhale and I hopped out of the car while Mr 3Prettys found ways to keep the sun out of his eyes. A suspiciously placed rock let us know we'd found GZ and we had soon signed the log and were back on the road.Thank you for the cache.
Heading North past here today, so parked opposite and walked over before making a quick find, TFTC
**20,344**Super quick find here after almost witnessing an accident further up the he road. TFTC
Quick find. The farthest south for me this trip, time to return to Seddon with more caching on the return leg. Its 24 out, this barefoot guy needs to don shoes. Cheers paddle chick

Day 11 of my Spring Holiday and after spending a couple of days in Cambridge it was time to make our way home. Second leg of the journey is to Kaikoura for the night after the ferry ride from Wellington to Picton.
Only a couple of stops along the way as it has been a loooooong day up at 4.30am and about 750km total in traveling. Quick find here as hint has now been updated TFTC

Not a lot of traffic today so was able to cross the road safely. A quick find once I read earlier caches. TFTC
Harvesting some drive-by caches like this as we head to Picton. Checked a couple of fence posts without success, then read Tufty's comment that the hint should now read "stay". Hooray and thanks for this smiley paddle chick.
After parking the snail shell up in Kaikoura it was time to visit all those caches I saw on the way south and couldn't stop at.
A bit of cache creep here. The hint should now read stay not post.
Cheers for the cache.

Day 1 of three weeks winter motorhoming in the upper half of the South Island. Caught the ferry to Picton this morning. Drove to Kaikoura this afternoon and located 8 caches en route including this one. Took a moment or two to find as there were several hint objects to choose from. In the end it was a “Skindo-style” hide. #4023. TFTC.
Heading South to grab some PW and TW GT cache's plus extras along the way...found after a short rummage around..thanks Paddle chick
We pulled over on our slow journey south. At first I thought I would have to dnf this as no posts came up with the goods. Searched further and more thoroughly in areas that looked un disturbed and there it was. Thanks for the cache paddle chick.
We are g oing the opposite way to Blenhiem So Stretch0 crossed the road found the cache - he also donated blood to caching gods when he found a warratah as well - log signed - thanks for the cache

We are about to move into level 2 and caching will be allowed from midnight tonight so I'm reactivating my caches. Happy and safe caching
New Zealand is under Level 4 lockdown because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
I am disabling all my caches for the meantime to remind people that we MUST break the chain of infection.
Covid-19 is now being spread within the community, person to person. We know that the virus will remain on surfaces like metal and plastic for up to 4 days.
We have only one chance to stop the Covid-19 virus spreading further. This is to BREAK the chain of infection by keeping each household separated completely. During this time each of us MUST keep isolated and only share with the people in our own household.
The best advice is to act as though you are infected... which you might be.
If you touch a cache container, you will leave viruses on the plastic, logbook and pen. Those will remain infectious for up to 4 days. Suppose some other person finds the cache tomorrow. They are likely to pick up those viruses and will get infected.
Playground equipment is out of bounds for exactly that reason- touching surfaces can spread infection.
Each of us has to do our bit to save lives. If the Covid-19 virus spreads, a lot of us will die. Maybe your grandmother, or my 9 year old neice who has who has an autoimmune disease
Stay home, stay safe, let's get to the other side of the pandemic before we go geocaching again.

.Hey we are in Kaikoura District. Thanks for the welcome. Quick snag and tag here. Cheers
Toby, The Seagnoid and I are off exploring to Kaikoura again today. Its an easy day of mostly P&Gs as TS is the walking wounded at the moment, and not walking much, but can play navigator on this trip. So lets go! A great day with many stops on the way we usually drive past to greener pastures for TS.

Had to pretend to be taking a photo of the sign. Damned tourists lol. Had been very quiet on the road today until we stopped here. Tftc
Our caching luck hasn't been so good today. Glad we could make the grab here.
We are on a holiday enjoying it caching and sightseeing. We start the journey off with a few day stop in Hawaii. From there we will visit New Zealand from Wellington to Dunedin. From there we move on to Australia taking in a Mega along the way from Melbourne to Sidney ending in Brisbane before heading home via a layover in South Korea. We plan to pick up a few year 2000 caches and as many others as time will allow.
THANKS goes to paddle chick for placing this gr[8] cache! We appreciate all those who hide caches for without you there would be nothing to find. We are not gr8cachers we like finding GR8Caches! This was our 22691 find. Keep on caching!

A great 2 weeks of travelling the south island it's been amazing great weather only 1 half day if wind and rain nearly 500 caches found over the time incredible views tftc a quick find here I thought I had it sorted by the hint prior to approaching and yes I did but then it was an ahha moment tftc great place and area to explore hope to visit again the Sourh Island soon. No muggles around only traffic zooming by none caring what I was up to tftc signed the log and placed it back exactly where I found it. Sad to leave the area loved it here
Heading up north for a few days, had a great drive up to Blenheim today 60 caches for the day, road busy and foggy in places. Thanks to all the caches placers - Bitsprayer
On a geocaching adventure around the country with myself, my car and my tent. Drove almost 4000km and collected 170 caches over a week of roadtripping, camping and seeing the beautiful sights of New Zealand. Lots of fun and so many great caches were found, as well as a lot of DNF's. Apologies for copy paste post. Thank you to all cache owners. Day nine driving from Hanmer Springs to Waikawa. Thank you for the cache
Meanwhile this is my third geocaching-trip to Middle-Earth . And I love it! [:X]
Still there are routes and places in this beautiful country that are on the 'discover-me' list and want to be visited and explored. .
Starting from Kaikoura, this day (#21) was dedicated to drive up north to Blenheim along the beautiful, scenic route #1 at the coastline [^] - a new experience .
The weather was again blessed with blue skies
Was happy to visit quite a few geo-treasures that seamed the route - just like this one:
A great honor to be the first one to sign the new log stripe!
A nice box at a good place [^].
Thanks to the owner [:X] for placing and maintaining this cache and best regards from Germany!

Pretty quick find today with eltee291, crman1 and coastalmartinis on the way to Kaikoura! Signed the log(which was very damp) and replaced as found. Visiting from Victoria, BC, Canada. Thanks for the cache, paddle chick!
Found this one today with hingis20, crman1, and coastalmartinis. We are on a day trip to Kaikoura to see the seals, sightsee, shop, and geocache of course. On vacation from VIctoria, BC, Canada visiting my daughter and her family in Blenheim. TFTC
Found with eltee291, Hingis20 and crman1 on our way to kaikoura. Log book was wet and container wet inside but sadly I did not have my spares with me today, sorry. TFTC though!!
Coastalmartinis and I along with eltee291 and Hingis20 are heading to Kiakoura. Stopping to get a few (all of them) on the way. Tftc
A quick find on a sunny day as we headed north. Signed Team IE -caching with Infoferret. TFTC
13 January 2019 12:16 PM. Quickly found , but log book soaked and only just signable.
Out and about on a road trip from Papamoa to Dunedin. No problem with the find TFTC.
On our 18th day in New Zealand we travelled from Kaikoura to Picton. It was a short distance and therefore we had ample time for a number of caches along the route. The route itself was very interesting, particularly in the first part where we could still see the damages from the earthquake and the process of making the routes new. Due to that fact certain caches which we wanted to do were still not able to get. Due to the many caches we searched we do more or less one log for all. Thanks to all the cache owners to provide and maintain all these. Those we looked for we could all find well, meaning also that we checked beforehand and those that were not found recently we left out. Here we first searched at the wrong spot but than checked GPS and changed the location and soon we had to box in our hands. TFTC and greetings from Switzerland
TFTC

Cache was OK when I drove past two weeks ago but reading Saroc's log I think it will have gone but will disable until I can check in a couple of weeks
Did a quick stop here but nothing located. If the cache was at the base of a post on the fence line, its gone. The fence, from the gate post south for about 100m has been bulldozed with the earth scrapped clean. If it was on the sign itself, didn't spot anything after an admittedly quick look.
Thanks for placing a cache here, hopefully I can return at some time in the future to look again.

Seems apt to do this one our way out of Kaikoura but that's us, all back to front. Found cache not sure if it was in the correct spot. Container damp but log all ok. See ya Kaikoura
I'ive started my beautiful trip of the South Island in Christchurch, I've visited many beautiful locations. I've travelled via Lake Tapeko, from Dunedin to the most southern part of Bluff. I've then continued with a cruise in Milford Sound and then back to Queenstown.
From there on I've visited Wanaka and the Haast pass to the Franz Josef glacier. I went all the way up to the Abel Tasman NP. Richmond und Nelson as the sonnierst cities were on my list as well.
I've soon reached the east coast in Picton and Blenheim.
After a couple of days, I've then travelled back to Christchurch via Kaikoura.
I've spent a couple of days in Christchurch and it's surroundings.
I've visited many geological sites and have found many caches along the way.
I've travelled 3500km and have experienced so much.
Thank you to all the owners

Finally brought a car that I had want for the last 3 years and had to fly up to Auckland to drive it back to Dunedin. So 2 birds with one stone a new car and caching all the way home. This is one of many on the trip home was a nice and easy one to find TFTC
Absolutely no idea why we didn't find this in 2014. Sobad and Mrs both had a check today after the previous DNF - and found it exactly where we expected and where we thought had been checked then. That's caching.
We had a day trip to Kaikoura with Mrs Sobad's sister and felt we could not bypass this one although we had had to bypass lots of others.
Thanks.

A quick find on the way to camp for the night to wait for the road to open in the morning. Well - at least that was the plan. TFTC.
We stopped to grab this one a short time ago but another vehicle stopped right behind us and showed no signs of moving on after 10 minutes so we moved on instead to the next cache. Once that was found we returned to find this one. The long grass is an attraction for minute bugs that invaded the car once the door was opened. tftc
Out for a roadie with Annacons to reach Clarence and pick up caches before the road re-opens and the big rigs return. Tftc!
