Logs
Out for the day from St Arnaud to Wedderburn via the back roads and returned along the bitumen, found a variety of caches most fairly easily whilst others took a few minutes. Soon sussed out how to access the log

I love country caching....in comparison to city caching! I do love this part of Australia.
Please note: generally we stamped the log as "Fabulous Randoms", however some logs we have written our caching names.
What a great 'long' weekend travelling to St Arnaud from Adelaide for the wonderful annual festivities. I cached with many awesome cachers including Feathertop, micaparamedic, Locus Cache, Muzza, Sharkie Fan, BushFire and of course TheDame. I also socialised with many others.....gosh I love Victoria!
Thanks so much for the cache the old blokes! [^]

We loved this cache.
My great buddy Goodlook and I came here and had no idea what to expect.
Read a few logs, tried a few things but by chance we cottoned on to it.
What a great idea.
Thanks Old Blokes
A favourite from us!

My Second last day in the St Arnaud region and I don't think Ihave found even half the caches here. I'll have to come back one day. A quick find here today cache was OK. TFTC.
Speedmistress was the first out of the car, then Mrs muff1 when Mrs muff1 was unable to open the container along came Mr muff1 who had the ability to open the cache. SL TFTC
Good job on the recycling. Loved it.
A great day of Geocaching with my mates Muff1 who supplied the transport and local knowledge today. Started with the St Arnaud CITO and finished back home at 11.40pm. SL TNLN TFTC.

I discovered this really excellent cache with Goodlook, Alansee and a bunch of their friends while on a geotour of northern Victoria.
The padlock with no key had us all trying all sorts of methods to get the box open. We had a good laugh when we found the answer.
With the cache owners permision I will copy this cache box for one of my caches in France. (I will, of course, pay hommage to "The Old Blokes" in the cache description).
I give a FAV point.

Found with Team Crackers, a French/Australian visitor on the morning after the event. A look here, a look there, a try of this and a try of that. Well done the old blokes and yes, this one is way too good to not have used again!
The first Old Blokes cache we hit this weekend and it was a very good one. Having just completed the BM series I have been handing out a few favourite points and now another one bites the dust. Loved this hide.

In the area with Aussie M & M, for an event later in the day so popped out to find a few of the great caches to be had.
Thanks

We drove along the wet tracks getting our cars very muddy while picking up a few caches in the area after some failed FTF's with Sully1, TR! and chooknchunk. Jumping in and out of the cars trying not to get too wet we had some laughs as we searched, signed, returned in readiness for the next find.
We cheated and read the hint so we knew what we didn't have to do! Everyone had an attempt until I hit the jackpot with some manoeuvres that paid off
Thanks the old blokes for another brain teaser. Another fav point.

Found while enjoying a great afternoon of caching around Wedderburn with TR!, Sully1 and The Tritonz. We didn't read the hint for this one so were scratching our heads for a little bit before The Tritonz figured it out, while TR! (previous finders) looked on and heckled. Lots of fun and laughter. TFTC Old Blokes.
Our 6th find so far today This one has been on our To Do List for some time.
A great cache and a good spot to hide it. Signed and replaced TFTC.

Found at 1.45pm. 7 of 13 caches found for the day.
Came from Bendigo and picked up my brother from Inglewood and we went geocaching on such an awesome day.
I don't know how many times I've raved on about how good the old bloke caches are....This one had my brother saying "I really liked that one". Clever construction and idea.
We used our noggins for access.
Favourite.

Out today with Wildnic26 doing the back blocks of wedderburn. Loved this puzzle cache it had me scratching my noggin for a while until my other half hinted on how it worked. very sneakly love it, although it did bite, has some sharp bits so beware. May need some maintenance as log was very wet. Had a great time "rally bashing" through the bush around this area which is now quite wet after recent rain, and huge puddles everywhere. thanks for bringing me to this area. great cache.
So thought I'd take a bit of drive after work today. Never disappointing going after an Old Blokes cache. The big woollies were a little sceptical why I was there. Dumb luck got this one opened quickly. This is definitely another well put together hide. TFTC
Travelling around Australia with our Cat.
Staying a few days in St Arnaud today we decided to head out towards Wedderburn exploring the local countryside.
What a great day we had out here. Not many people take the opportunity if/when it presents itself.
Thanks for helping us in your outstanding region.
Loved this cache and it did take us far too long to gain access. As previously mentioned the logbook is saturated and we even struggled to sign it with our 'powertank' pen. Fave point from us.

I parked the geomobile at the corner of the quiet roads and strolled through the delightful scenery for the few hundred metres to find GZ.
Expecting something sneaky and frustrating from 'the old blokes' I soon found the cache and discovered the fun of this find
OK !! This looks like an enigma, wrapped in a puzzle, and disguised as a geocache
It took me many minutes to give up on one idea, which in hindsight was a stupid idea, given the cache notes
So I put on me deerstalker and pondered the problem.
Aha !! Elementary !!
With the slight inconsistency in cache design discovered, it was a cache of "try that"
It worked [:o]

A find in the company of Highrod mischief18 and sorcysal. Not an old friend to some of us but highrod gave us the history of the container. Well constructed tricky hide TFTC
After completing the Telstra cache, we all set off in search of a few more local caches. Glad we had the 4WD's as it made it a lot easier on some of these local roads after the much needed rain. We had a lot of laughs and it made for a very fun afternoon.
Great puzzle container, but the log book is saturated. Eventually had it figured out. Very clever and giving it a fave. Thanks the old blokes

“A day Out In Wedderburn” and what a day it was – great weather, geo caching friends in abundance and a smorgasboard of caches to satisfy the passions of everyone who made their way to Wedderburn. This cache along with the others we found demonstrates the ingenuity and skill of the CO’s to devise some fiendish and fun hides. We began to think we didn't have any friends at all here, so we started all over again and P-P found the friend we needed. A friendly favourite from us.
Our thanks to the old blokes for bringing us here.

Suscoe's 25th find of 27 for today.
We were heading from St Arnaud to Wedderburn and return on a glorious day with plenty of sunshine and a gentle breeze.
With a maximum of around 20 today it was just one of those out of the box Autumn days that we enjoy.
A splendid hide from the wonderful cachers.
Took us a while to work this out but then it all happened in a hurry.
The log is somewhat wet.
Thanks to the old blokes for a terrifc hide here, another favourite from us.

We weren't really sure what to expect when we got here, and when I found it I told the Moose that he had to work it out, as his mind works with things like that. And work it out he did! Thanks for a nice hide and bringing us here.
Day 2 in Wedderburn, doing some sightseeing while caching around the area.
Thought about the location, to give us access to the cache.
After a while, it became obvious, and we were soon adding our to the log.
Well worth a favourite point, for the construction.
Many thanks for placing this cache, the old blokes, for us and others to find.

Found at 13.30. GPS played up here, but after searching I found it! Couldn't get it open unfortunately. Another great find thank you
We were out in the car driving aimlessly around with the aircon on and then we came to an intersection and the question was asked which way will we go...I instantly suggested taking the left direction as I knew there was a cache hidden only a couple of kms away which I had bookmarked to do, so off we went. It was only when we were about a km away that I casually said "Guess what? There is a cache only a little way from us." Wouldn't it be a shame to get so close to one and not try for it? Pulling up at GZ, the kids and I wondered which cache container would greet us and my eldest was the one who guessed correctly.
My muggle husband came out to search, as the kids wanted to stay in the car and not get eaten by mozzies, and I'm sorry to say that I had a giggle at him trying to get the cache out...it was one of only a handful of times that I have "appeared" smarter than him...but being the smarty he is, he soon had it figured out and went off to the car while I signed and exchanged swag and put it back. Ants have taken up residence in close proximity so I didn't hang around long for fear of them mistaking me for a tree. I took a yellow stone, and left a bracelet. Took note of the trackable, but left it for someone else to move along.

Today I was not feeling the best and wasn't able to make it to work. However I needed to get out and get some fresh air, not remain stuck at home, so I decided to go for a drive and grab some caches that were close to the road and reasonably close to home.
Hahaha, I knew it would be this container. As I drove up towards GZ the container in question flashed through my mind.
As I got to GZ there it was. Hello my old friend indeed.....now how did we get into this last time?
Thanks for the reintroduction!
'Ere, 'ave a travel bug.

Found while out caching with Fergzter while attending the Wedderburn events. After being close to where this cache container was last year and going over to show it to one of the members of the team that was not at the event last year. it was funny that it was the next cache we stopped at. TFTC.
Out in the area caching today, as usual had a great day and enjoyed the hunt. The find gave a sense of satisfaction and achievement. Many thanks the old blokes for placing this cache.
After attending the very enjoyable event this morning we joined forces with micaparamedic, maccamob and The Coffees to go look for some more of the old blokes fun caches.
This wasn't an old friend for us as unfortunately we couldn't make lst years event due to family commitments but with the others in the groups help we were soon adding our name to the log.
Thanks once more for the cache.

I remeber this old friend! He did give us a little but of trouble last year! Good memories! TFTC
Found by Mary & David, in convoy with The Coffees, micaparmedic and Team Crackers, at 1450. We remembered this "old friend" as soon as we saw it, and it hadn't lost its appeal. A great design and well made! Our thanks to the old blokes.
Found while out and about in Wedderburn with The 2 Wanderers. Yes, it was the old friend I was hoping it would be. Nice to see it recycled. A gathering of cachers at this site. TFTC
Find No. 627. Found with FUF009 at 10.24am.
Our second find on our way to Wedderburn for the day's events.
Well this one sure did have us tricked last year, but this year we knew exactly what to do.
Took blue bug and a red bug - Left yellow racing car and a pink smiley face ball.

The event day in Wedderburn - always a good turn with excellent caches, and this year was no exception. We (BettyBoo3747 and I) started the morning sleeping in then dashed out and did the Mash series before lunch. We then joined The Morris for a few of the further out caches. Dinner to come!
Unfortunately, I missed last years event due to work, so I hadn't seen this cache before.
Very well made.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 6343. The Event is over and now it is time to go and chase a few more caches with Robmc and The Morris. The weather is holding and we enjoy the journey. By dinner time however the rains have arrived.
This one was a new friend as we hadn't been at the 2013 Event. Very nice indeed. Sneaky!
Thanks the old blokes

Yes I remember your little friend, it had us stuck for awhile last year but then we worked it out lol it was good to have another go at it this year TFTC
This cache had us thinking for a while. It was a nice way to finish the day. Thanks to the Old Blokes
Yes we remember this one. Last year had a little trouble opening it. But it was a nice location.
Found during our stay in Wedderburn for the Wedderburn Events with LionJRB.
Yes, this was an old friend that I was very happy to see again after last years events in Wedderburn. The log was quickly signed and we were on our way again.
Thanks to the old blokes for this hide.

Find #1567 @ 1024H
Found with Mrs Tyred n Cranky on our way to Wedderburn for todays events.
Reading the Cache description I had my thoughts at to what the container was, at GZ my thoughts we confirmed and it put a simile on my face as to the memories and troubles we "had" last year to get the log out.

Lady Morris hadn't see this one before - Mr Morris had solved it last year and told her all about it though. We all had a look and then waited for Bill Gosse and Co to solve it before we sighed the log. An old friend indeed.
Another one 'off the list' of this years' event caches. We did recognise the 'old friend', but thanks, Old Blokes, for putting it in a new spot to take us to.
