Found on my way back to Tauranga -but taking the opportunity to find a few caches before it becomes too dark. TFCT
Merging my accounts. Found this as "Ambers007" on 29/09/2022. Now tracking together with "Hoterini" and merging the old finds.
Having overnighted at the golf course in our motorhome it seemed only right to grab this hide before travelling onwards. A quick find after a short search. T4tC nzkites,Civvnr&MissTreadlightly....(UK) Geocaching.com finds so far 11302
After years on our bucket list and three cancellations due to Covid, we are thrilled to finally be here. Following several cruises we flew from Sydney, Australia to Wellington, New Zealand to begin our next adventure. Picked up our rental vehicle and will be driving, exploring, hiking, and caching both islands for 3.5 weeks. Enjoyed this quiet dead-end road where we soon were adding our ink to the log. Thanks for adding to our adventure today, Nukeworker and Racquetball Girl, Arkansas, USA
Followed a bit of a geotrail to the cache. I left my pen in the car so took the cache back with me to sign it. You would think by now I would have learned my lesson but no, we now have 3 spiders in the car. Now to join that big long tail of traffic heading to the Coromandel.
A quick park and grab here. The post and grass at gz have both been painted recently, but the cache is still safe.
While Net61 and MrsJAG signed the cache log, SN picked up a dozen empty vodka bottles and took them home to put in her recycling bin. TFTC

We arrived in Auckland, rented a car and off to Katikati for a week school holidays. Mrs8 was a bit sick and was about to sleep in the car, but after a while, he couldn't get to sleep and asked to sit in the middle, to better enjoy the road. We pulled over. I said to myself, there must be a cache here. Quick check, and yes there was. Quick find at GZ, noticing this was part of a series, we will probably never complete. Both container and logbook were in good condition. Thanks for placing this here.
On our way home after a fantastic night out thanks to Mr Ed Shereen. Cache in good condition even with all this rain.
A nice quick easy find, grab, sign and flee.

One a trip to hike the Pinnacles with Keylev and Cragger. Been looking forward to this trip for months and it's finally here! What more can a person ask for, good friends, hiking and caching!
The last one before heading to the Coromandel. Nice easy one. TFTC

I spent the day today concentrating on the T2A-R series of caches (in my case, Auckland - Tauranga - Auckland). I got wind (on FB) from the C.O’s that these would be winding down soon, they have been going for some time and the maintenance is getting too much. So I set a plan in action and decided today I would complete the series. I have actually done most of them with rustynz and Rebel98 and supernanny about 6 years ago, but for some reason I surely can not remember, I didn’t bother collecting the numbers. Well, that was mainly what I had to do today.
Headed down this way today, to walk the nearby trail with a group training for the Tongariro Crossing later in February...... Some of the group had already located this one on previous trips to the area, but as there was still a few, we signed in as 'SEAC' to save logbook space.....
Found whilst heading back to Auckland and the driver needed a break, so what better way to have a break from driving , but to find a cache or two.
TFTC.

Out with TEAM Seac and heading back to Auckland. We needed to get out of the car, so we stopped to find a few caches. Nice quick find. Thanks
After a Team SEAC excursion along the local Kaitarakihi Summit Track we stopped for a short stretch for one of the drivers and decided to pick up the 2 local caches.
Nice quick find - signed SEAC to save log space.
Thanks for the cache.

A plan had been made by members of Team SEAC to attempt the caches along the Kaitarakihi track. This was part of training for doing the Tongariro crossing in late February. On our way home Mr HeMaLuDy needed a quick break from driving and so stopped. Finding the closeby cache first and then this cache was the perfect break. A nice quick find here. The log was signed SEAC to save space.TFTC.
I have passed by Mangatawhiri many times, today I had some time to spare so collected the smiley faces around town. Thanks for hiding nzkites
We are on our summer holiday, we usually take a few weeks and travel around the South Island, but this year we are heading around the North Island. Heading up the West coast and back down the East coast. Finding only a select few caches along the way, we are mostly targeting some challenges we have qualified for, some large size caches, some that fill gaps in our date placed grid, a few D/T combinations, some with lots of favourite points, letterboxes and anything else that grabs our fancy.
I had a fall on day two of our holiday, while out geocaching which has resulted in a fractured bone in my leg and I am in a moon boot and with crutches and I was told to keep weight off my leg. So I am only limited use when it comes to our trip now. I tend to stay in the campervan and just hand out suggestions of when and where GK should search.
A nice quick find here, gk went and found it and signed the log then he returned it as he found it. We left a trackable in this cache.

North Island Campervan trip Day 4
After the fantastic holiday I had a few months ago traveling around the South Island, making the most of one of those incredibly cheap campervan deals available at the time, I figured it was worth taking a week off work before the stresses of the usual holiday period to enjoy some of the delights to be found around the top of the North Island.
This would be a great chance for me to seek out some targeted caches such as the TMGT ones as well as some that would help me with my Jasmer grid, missing minutes (for a couple of challenge caches I'm working on) and any other caches that caught my eye.
I had just picked up the campervan and my intention was to make my way over to the Coromandel and end up in Whitianga for the night. I was looking forward to the journey as this is not a route I have traveled often, and never since discovering Geocaching! For this part of my journey, I was just looking for simple park 'n' grabs, not too far off my route, and this one seemed to fit the bill.
I was able to park close to this one, and with this section of the road effectively closed off I had the place to myself to conduct my search in peace and it was not long before I had the cache in my hand. There were no issues at all with this cache or the log, which was signed and replaced before I was back on my way again.
Thanks for setting this cache up.

Time for a rest stop and stretch the legs, Roady to Waihi from Whangarei ,nearly there .
Certainly beauty weather for a quick two day caching holiday.

Found this one on our drive up to auckland. The sign is no longer attached to the post. Thanks for the cache

Having finished with my work commitments for the week I had some spare time today to go out and find a few caches. I headed off in a south - east - north - west kind of loop. Had a good time with a variety of caches found along the way. If I'd read the listing properly I would have found this one a bit quicker. Once I spotted the obvious, the cache was quickly found. TFTC, Biggles.
We had a very nice holiday in New Zealand. Almost every day beautiful weather. We traveled with the camper home from the north to the south island. we have found a lot of very nice caches. Thanks for showing the nice places where we found the caches.
Greetings from the Netherlands

After being a bit late due to a not delivered in time luggage, at least one cache needs to be visited. This one fitted perfect into the travel plan, so a quick stop, search and log. TFTC
A quick stop off on our way to Rotorua. We've been working through this series for the past year or so and now only have a few left to go. TFTC.
Found together with Piratenschatzsucher and Pyphant and signed as team Piraten. Thanks for the nice hide.
Another find for us in this series nice easy find but may have been spotted by the locals TFTC!
Found with part of teambop Tnxpro and McJandals log signed teambop. Come up from BOP to Duders for the day. On way home now just a few more Tnxpro

On a road trip with part of Team BOP which includes myself, TNXPRO and Davidson Clan. To save room we have signed BoP and I am logging using the Cachly app Ctemplate so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing us here. Cheers
First day in Neuseeland and fix und fertig, da für uns heute ja nachts ist. Aber hilft ja nichts, wenn man zwei Stunden zur Unterkunft durch den Linksverkehr muss und auf dem Weg einige Caches liegen. Alle Caches mehr oder weniger schnell und gut gefunden.

Today fazzyOne and me arrived in New Zealand. On our way to our hotel wie visited this cache. Thanks for showing.
The plate has come off the post but cache is still easily found. TFTC. Found as per description.
As I had the day off today, I thought that I would take some time to grab a cache or two. That is how I came to be looking for this particular cache. I am currently trying to maintain a daily geo-streak which is turning out to be a lot harder than it sounds. I was also heading south to Rotorua with my two nieces and brother-in-law who are always up for finding a cache. Anyway, once I parked as close as I could I made my way to GZ on foot. However, once I was there... and once my GPS settled, the girls made a relatively quick find. So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in it's spot all ready for the next geo-hunter. So thank you nzkites for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. TFTC!
Came past here at night while heading north. No problems spotting this in the long grass with my torch, taking care not to put my foot in that nasty hole thats mentioned, TFTC
We also travel regularly between tga and Akld as the in laws live in tga. Decided it would just be rude to not do the series!
We made time to stop and picked up the TB to continue his journey

The benchmark is detached from its post but a quick find in an obvious spot. Heading to Thames on the byways instead of the highways to visit Mum.
Heading home from Tauranga on a stormy day, in convoy with my family in the other car. After a quick find here, I made contact with my wife, and found she'd taken a detour off SH2. They'd escaped the flood-delayed traffic I've been stuck in for an hour and were almost in Auckland! Still, at least I found some great caches... thanks!
A last minute change in the family's plans for today meant I had an unexpected few hours to myself. Mulled over the options for getting out and about, given the weather wasn't great, and decided on a country road tiki tour picking up a few caches that I've been meaning to grab for a while. Busy road along here this afternoon in the rain and I was glad to pull off the road again. As I walked toward GZ, I wondered if this one might take a while but good co-ords & a helpful hint meant I was able to put my hand on the cache straight away, cache all good, thanks for the hide.
Second stop on my way home. Easy find and didn't even see the the metal plate. Now headed back and hope to get the bonus if not tonight then sometime in the next week, weather dependent.
Easy find, what a coincidence - we discovered a TB in here and it was the one I picked up from New York and brought back to New Zealand some months ago! Michaelteacher picked it up this time. Tftc
Checked while passing, cache all ok. PLEASE don't disturb the metal benchmark plate on the ground at GZ, the cache is NOT under it, and moving it leaves a hole that could cause someone to break an ankle!!
My second in the series. Another quick find. Nice containers and very practical logbooks. Dropped off a TB.
Found while visiting from Victoria Australia and exploring some of the area as we passed through, log signed and replaced as found, left trackable and took trackable, thanks for the cache and the fun
A quick find on a trip home back from Auckland - beautiful day for a spot of caching - slowly collecting up this series! TFTC
Road trip around the Coromandel with lots of caches to find. Quick easy find. TFTC.
