We decided to head out early to do a bit of caching before the heat of the day.

We headed out for another day up in the hills and surrounding areas to add a few more smilies, happy to say we came up trumps here today with a nice quick find TFTC
Came back today to finish off the series with themongrel, we grabbed a few others on the way and also stumbled across somebody living in the bush in their car. Enjoyed the walk and the birds were very noisy this morning. tftc

Nice quick find. Confused by comments since logbook is absolutely fine! Favourite point awarded for the series, which has taken me nearly 2 years and 5 continents to complete TFTC.
Thank you! I've had my eye on this series for a while, and decided today was the day. The forecasted showers and storm never eventuated, so with blue skies it ended up warmer than I expected. I did the series in numerical order, as that seemed to involve the least backtracking. Found this one without too much issue.
Log may be a little damp, but cache is in good condition besides. Might be enough info for CO to log 'Owner Maintenance' and enable this one again.
Cache maintenance includes responding to any NM requests with an 'owner maintenance' once a cache has been maintained.
As this has not happened it can only be assumed that there is still something wrong that needs fixing.

The weather finally had mercy on human kind in the region and let some spring out, so what better way to spend a day, than geocaching in a good company! Teamed up with Mistraluna, and decided to tackle the Outback Jack series, to get some fresh air, good exercise and lots of smileys on a beautiful walk and believe it or not, no flies, no mozzies - Perfecto! And the best bit was, that we found all the caches, yay!
Headed up this way today with Eliktrisiti, hoping to knock out the Outback Jack series which has been on my radar for way too long, but I just never seemed to get out here to do them. Previous plans always seem to go awry for one reason or another.
But the planets aligned for us today, and two eager geocachers sallied forth, ready for rain, hail or shine, set on a mission to conquer this series at long last. Fortunately the weather held out for us for the entire two circuits, and we managed to find each and every one of the caches (had to resort to PAF on one of them though), whilst another took considerable longer to find than we anticipated also, but we found both eventually. Most of the caches were in good order, but several along the southernmost section of the series were a tad wet and could do with with some TLC when the CO is next out that way.
All in all, an excellent series of caches. Thank you JacobsCrew2 for all the work that went into the planning and placement of this series. We really enjoyed our day out there - was hoping for more wildflowers, but hey, can't have everything I guess. Am more than happy with my swag of smileys.

Got it! \o/.
Headed up into the hills to attempt the Outback Jack Bush walk series. Brought a muggle mate (PBD) with me to introduce him into our sport. Turns out he loves it. What a beautiful peaceful area. Please excuse the copy paste.
Quick find here too.

TFTC! Teamed up with a mate this morning to cleanup a loop of the Outback Jack series, before returning the favour and helping out moving some gym equipment after the states on the weekend. Had an enjoyable morning hitting the trailhead at 6am and finding the first few with the assistance of the flash light. Found 20 plus caches with two DNFs. Thanks
There is no water damage on this cache. The CO can remove the Needs Maintenance log.
Decided to tackle the Outback Jack series today. Parked across the road from #18 and started there. Logged that one at 2:32pm and the last one (#15 - a DNF) at 6:07pm. Found 30 caches and had 5 DNFs. There were 3 that I didn't attempt as it was dark by the time I was on the last leg from 7 through 15 ... I have new specs with a new prescription and was not confident walking through the scrub in the dark so I only did the ones close to the track.
Of the DNFs, I think 34 may be missing and possibly 5 ... I did have a good look for both of those while it was still light, but the others were in the dark and I only had a quick look before moving on.
Thanks for this series JacobsCrew ... I did enjoy the walk, the only downer being the appalling amount of rubish that is dumped in the bush.
I will be back one day for the ones I didn't get. Sorry for generic log

We had a spare day in Perth today and had planned to tackle the Outback Jack series. We woke up to a perfectly beautiful autumn day, so armed with our gps and some supplies we headed off down into the bush. We found all 38 of the caches today, so sorry about the rather generic logs that will be posted on all 38. The caches were hidden in many diverse places. Some were very easy to find, others were more of a challenge. Most were in very good condition apart from one that was rather wet. There are a myriad of tracks running through this bushland, and you do really need a gps to be able to locate where you are and where you have been. We came across some cross country runners as well as a number of mountain bikers who were also enjoying the trails. We even walked on part of the northern end of the Bibbulmun Track, which was interesting as we spend a lot of time on the southern end of it. Thanks JacobsCrew2 for all the work that must have gone into placing all these caches for our enjoyment. We enjoyed the walk and also finding them.
Dried out some of the moisture the walls of the container, still a bit damp.

Out on a lovely walk around the area with fellow geocachers. Found it. Thanks for the cache.
After successfully completing the first half of this walk a couple weeks ago, I returned this morning with CaVED, PerthGirl65 and a couple friends to complete the series. Most of the caches were quite easy finds. A gorgeous morning for a walk! Thanks JacobsCrew2 for this cache and the entire series.
Did the first half of this series 2 weeks ago and today was a perfect day to find the rest. This was the eleventh of 22 caches we found in this series today. TFTC, JacobsCrew2
A really hot day and just today we decide to do this bush walk.
We were glad when we arrived back at the parking place. Thank you to the owner.

Very enjoyable day walking around the park collecting these caches. Thanks JacobsCrew2 for laying out this series.
The better half allowed me to go out for a 'walk' so I came up to do this series. Started out cool enough but soon there was a thunderstorm nearby which stopped me for a while until it passed and made me wet. I walked some more of the series and then there was another storm which stopped me again and this time saturated me. They were not that close and only got the rain bits not the lightning. Although I did plan to do all of the series the two storms ensured that I didn't have enough time so will have to come back another day to finish them off.
I think the storms were affecting the signals as I didn't find any of the GZ locations to be all that accurate today but I did find the caches in the end.
Thanks JacobsCrew2 for the cache and series so far.

Noticed this series of caches not so long ago and thought it would be a good opportunity to visit the area. Great series; Coords were generally accurate and the hides were good. Thanks very much JacobsCrew. Great weather for January!
Finally got around to do some serious caching. 2014 has been a lean year with less 100 added to my tally. So today was the day to bring up the 1000 Cache, and what a fantastic series. Countless birds, beautiful scenery and plenty a kangaroos to enjoy the walk with. Not to mention the thousands of spiders who had to build new webs.. A great series. Thank You.. TNLN
Out and about trying to hunt down the series on a Sunday
Nice hide moving along nicely enjoying the walk

A big morning for geocaching. Was really nice to do the series with some others on the side. Unfortunately, I missed 5 of them. Maybe Ill be back on day. They are all really easy but some of them are like 10m away of my gps position!!!! Thanks anyway for the caches as it was a rally great pleasure to do them.

Found it with Ross1957. What a good way to spend the morning, good company, good bushland, exercise, wild flowers, and annoying tricky caches to find, some easy some hard.
After starting this series a few weeks ago I've come back with Fernio to try and complete it.
We found all the ones we looked for some being really easy and some we had to spend some time on. Had to
look back on previous logs on a couple and even phoned a friend on one.
It is great to have the company and an extra pair of eyes.
Thanks JacobsCrew2 for a fun series.

Out for a walk with my brother and we decided to do this series. Mostly quick easy finds for this series. TFTC
It was around this area that was full of rubbish. Pity. Council needs to cart it out! Still no problems with the caches.
Another quick find here, wrote down the numbers required and on our way. thanks Jacobs Crew2 for the series/hide.
Last one for today - will be back
To do more of this series - great fun thankyou

I had the day off work and thought that this was the perfect day and a great opportunity to tackle this impressive power trail of caches. I arrived just before 6:30am and found that it was still quite dark but after finding the trail off Fern Rd I was on my way. Most caches were easy finds, but I found them much harder as I was working into the 30s of this series. Quick find here. TFTC JacobsCrew
[:(!] Had a few hours to kill and what better way of of filling in those hours than to do a bit of caching and this was one of them, parked the geocar as close as possible to GC54M48 - (Outback Jack Bush Walk 18) and walked the circuit from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was located and it was in hand in a matter of minutes.

I'd wanted to do a bit of a walk this weekend and was tossing up between this series and going gnome hunting. A late invite to a birthday lunch in Kalamunda decided me on this series. I got to the camel farm just after 7 and it was already heaving with mtb'ers. After getting my self sorted I set off and made quick progress on the first few caches. Once I got to the fourth I noticed the info at the beginning of the logbook required to find the final cache. I'd completely forgotten about the final and gathering the info. Thankfully the route I'd planned backtracked towards the ones I'd already done so I decided to pick up the missed info later. All went well with all caches easily found apart from #35. A nice mix of straight forward caches and a few more challenging hides. A great mornings walking, the whole series, not including the final, took just over 3 hours and this included the bit of backtracking i had to do. The weather was great, not to cool and only a few showers. Once I got back to my car i sat down and worked out the location of the final, wasn't sure about the location so re-worked the coords, all good so set off to find the final. Found it with enough time to get home get cleaned up and head out to lunch. Thanks for a great series JacobsCrew2.
Out today with Geodad to do Part 3 of the Outback Jack series. There was a variety of caches out there. Some were easy find but some were difficult. We even relied on J+J45 selfies and co-ords were a bit jumpy.I ended up with 8 finds and 1 DNFs .

Since this series was published, i have been waiting for the right time to give it a go. Today was the day. The 13yo geoson and I had a great walk. Loved the different containers and hide locations. Great fun bushbashing, and following the tracks.

Out exploring with K.B. and we stopped at this cache during our travels. Thanks for the cache JacobsCrew.
Saw this Outback Jack series of caches published a couple of weeks ago, the day before I was due to have some time off work. If I had booked my holidays a day earlier I might have been up here chasing some FTF's.
Today was the first fine day that I had a chance to tackle the series. Even then I ended up arriving an hour later than I intended. Decided to do them in numerical order and parked opposite the camel farm at around 11:30 am.
Found 37 of the 38 Outback Jack caches (number 5 was a bugger), plus a couple of others, and after about a 12k walk I arrived back at the car around 5:30. It was getting dark and too late (and cold) to try for number five again, let alone to do the sums for the final, so I called it a day.
Very quick find here. Found at 14:58

Thought I'd follow the herd and go and do this series this morning.
35 finds and 3 dnf which I thought was pretty good with only one pair of eyes.
Great variety of containers and hides keep me guessing each time.
Thanks for this series JacobsCrew.

What an absolutely glorious day to be out caching with buddies iluvtrekking. The reserve was pretty easy to walk although we had to keep our eyes out for the many mountain bikes zipping along the tracks also taking advantage of the awesome winter day. Thanks JacobsCrew for a fantastic series.
We looked, we logged, we left!
We loved this series. The hides were varied, the bush was beautiful and the weather was perfect.
A great time was had by all, thanks JacobsCrew.

Just relogging under a new account. Signed log under an old account of dcorunna on this day
I posted a screen capture of this series on the “Geocaching WA” FB page with thanks to JacobsCrew for making the effort and how I could not wait to get out there and have a crack.
Several people commented and a couple said “when?” from there a loose plan was hatched for a couple of teams to tackle the walk this weekend, all went quiet for a bit, but just before the day arrived the post bounded back into life as teams started throwing their hats into the ring.
Come cache day many teams totaling 21 to 22 cachers, who knows it was hard to count while everyone was moving about, met at the start and made our way onto what turned out to be an interesting caching experience. I have not cached with more than 3 teams in the past, suffice to say this was unlike anything I have done before.
Great fun, kids running ahead at the start, their enthusiasm waning at different points to only pick up steam again at the end of the trek. Heaps of chatter and caching stories.
I found one cache at least so that makes it a good day. The challenge was not finding them most of the time, but trying to arrive in that short time frame before someone yelled “found it”
Even with so many sets of eyes some still took us ages to find, I’m happy that the group was so large so there was not one DNF all day.
Thanks to all who join the adventure, it was an awesome day, the kids (both big and small) excitement made the 10k or so walk seem like nothing.
JacobsCrew I remember you mentioned this was coming up at the Burswood park event, and you were right it did not disappoint, thank you so much for the effort in organising this series.
Just on a note, this is possible by mountain bike all the way, some park the bike and walk into caches from the trail would be needed but not more than 70 meters at the most. Beginner to Intermediate I would say.

What an awesome day! What started out with a few cachers deciding to do the series, ended up with 11 teams totalling 22 people - Kyzabra, Jinta29, Spatialriq, M4YB, Allied OZ, Becalicous1, dcorunna, RockADz, The Fitzy's, Brookestar & Ladyjet86!
Like everyone else has mentioned, it was great to get out with such a large group, getting to know others from the caching community, and swapping memorable caching stories.
Thanks for the series JacobsCrew - we had a blast!

Another milestone achieved today, as I find 24 caches within 24 hours.
Had a great day out with the geo group today in knocking off my first full series of caches. After quite alot of walking around to vacuum up the 39 caches, I do feel quite satisfied in my accomplishment.

What started out as a small gathering, to tackle this series, turned out to be bigger than Ben Hur
22 cachers (12 adults and 10 kids) tackled this series topgether.
Kyzabra, Jinta29, Spatialriq, M4YB, Allied OZ, J&J_45, Becalicous1, dcorunna, RockADz, The Fitzy's, Brookestar & Ladyjet86 (for part of the journey)
Sorry about the Copy & Paste log but was a big day. Covered approx 10-11km, 4 hours and many tales told.
Most had accurate co-ords with a couple at the end proving a bit mnore challenging.
All in all, a great day, with great company.
The kids all semed to have a blast, no whinging and they were often the inspiration for us older ones trying to keep up.

A wonderful day in the Hills, chasing this great series. The young ones were very keen and it was a joy to see them run ahead! A generic log from me too, it has been a big day but a great adventure, love the Hills in winter, when one can explore nooks and crannies with a lot less fear.

Great day to cache with a few fellow cachers ... or 22 of them! . Eleven teams all up started out around 10:45am and successfully found all 38 caches plus the final. The 11km or so seemed to go quickly as we were always busy either working out where the next cache was, hunting or doing cals for the final.
Great series, most caches were found pretty quickly but a few took a bit longer to hunt down. One of the advantages of such a large group. Thanks JacobsCrew for all your efforts putting this series together. Was a great way to fill in a blank day in my caching calendar!

Out today with a huge group of cachers to enjoy some sunshine and tackle the outback jack series. Can't believe we trekked over 10km's today to find all of them. Even the geokids were there till the end (some with encouragement or mainly food).
Most caches today were easy finds but some proved challenging, and I'm sure if we didn't have all the extra peeps today it's fair to say I would have left with a few dnf's today.
Good to meet up with some other cachers and spend the day doing something we love and great job JacobsCrew for putting the series together.
Cheers

Wow!! What a awesome day great fun, a lot of chatter, heaps of laughs, 22 people half adults half kids, covered over 10 Kms walked, as mentioned in previous logs good to see the kids having such fun racing ahead to find the caches first!!
Great series highly recommend most caches easy to find some a little harder, for those people who are keen definitely recommend on bikes would have been an awesome ride!! Suit an average bike rider, park your bikes and walk maybe 10 to 20 metres to GZ at each cache.
Special thanks to Kyzabra, Jinta29, Spatialriq, AlliedOz, J&J_45, Becalzicous1, Dcorunna, The Fitzy's, Brookestar and Ladyjet86 for making it such a great day

I was in the area with a group of cachers to complete this series (and grab a couple of other caches along the way) This was a long walk (approx. 10kms taking close to 5 hours) but the company and great scenery made it worth while. A great effort here JacobsCrew and thanks for bringing me here today.
Great weather for caching today toy4jaws and I started at number 1 and made it as far as 34 as it started to get dark will be back to finish. Great way to get geonephews away from the Xbox and into nature during school holidays. Thanks
