**This Cache:**
Well, well, well!
I have had this cache on my to-do list for a very long time!
I found a couple of the waypoints in 2018 I believe it was, but was alone at the time and gave up pretty quickly when I couldn't proceed. I then got some help from a previous finder and managed to find two more waypoints that were still in place that I missed on my last visit! The final numbers were then given to me so that my coordinates could be complete and I have had the final GZ sitting to be found for a long time now forgotten about!
I then saw this cache was archived in January, but kept the location saved as I noticed it was only archived because the multi part was no longer viable.
I was skeptical today approaching GZ as the cache hasn't been found for 2.5 Years!
DSD was with me as well and when we arrived we started the search. DSD found the cache almost immediately, completely untouched and in perfect condition! Wooohooooo!
As this multi-cache is no longer possible to solve or find, it has now been **removed** from it's location.
Thanks for the cache!
---
**Today:**
It had been over a week since I last went out to hike in a quiet location and get out of the work / home routine so decided it was time for another isolation exercise afternoon
Myself and DSD chose Cooleman Ridge today, as I had many unfound caches up there! In fact it was probably my largest cluster of unfound caches in Canberra!
It was a good afternoon, only saw a couple of other people out and about from distances but we had the place mainly to ourselves to search for each cache unhindered! We ended up with 14 total finds and no DNF's which was an awesome effort!
Thanks to all the CO's

Today Loci612 and I went to Cooleman Ridge to grab some aches, as Loci612 had many un-found caches up there! In fact it was probably his largest cluster of un-found caches in Canberra!
It was a good afternoon, only saw a couple of other people out and about from distances but we had the place mainly to ourselves to search for each cache unhindered! We ended up with 14 total finds and no DNF's which was an awesome effort!
There is nothing better than finding a cache that has been disabled for about two years with everything inside in excellent condition. Thanks loci612 for remembering that there was a disabled cache here. Also thanks to SiteHounder for Bushranger's Booty.
Signed the Cache logbook DSD, Thanks to all the CO's

I would suggest that the cache be archived, as it does not appear to be maintained. Last maintenance was June 2017, there have been numerous dnf's commenting that the waypoints need attention, and 2 suggestions for maintenance, 30-4-19, and 5 months later on 1-10-19.
The waypoints of which I think there are at least 4, appear to be referenced as physical rather than virtual meaning that other caches cannot be placed within 161m, thus monopolozing quite an area of landscape for a multi cache that does not appear to be maintained.

The trail has gone cold. Maintenance still required, or consideration of archival if unable to be maintained.
Was out here 15 months ago, made it to WP3. Looks like it still needs CO attention.
I've been meaning to do this one for a while now & after a long hot day, my geo wife ushered me out of the house after the kids went to bed to improve my mood. I found the first 3 waypoints ok (the 3rd proved a little elusive initially, but not too difficult), but then the trail went dead. I tried all the spots that I thought looked likely, but no 4th gemstone was found. In a terrible case of a mixed metaphor, I don't think I brought enough candles to this saloon fight. TFTC & the effort in maintaining this one, SiteHounder. I still enjoyed the chase & will come back with a bigger photon posse!
After visit friends house for while....Beautiful heaps rocks and good view!!! i feel great walked to hills... hide well.. Thanks
Grabbed this night cache with Miskit, Fox in Jox, and WhaleRider. We had a lot of fun but were unable to find the very first reflector, and ended up stumbling upon (what I assume is) the 4th one first. We had some serious candlewatts between us.
The adventure took us about an hour.
It was the cunning Fox who made the find. Persistence paid off yet again.
We had no swaps with us, so we did not take any of the booty.
Great to get another multi.
Thx SiteHound!

ZQX sent out the suggestion to go for this cache. I agreed. So ZQX, Miskit WhaleMaster and I met nearby and headed to the start. With some powerful headtorches and handhelds, we were ready to roll. We spent a while looking for the first reflector, but on broadening our search, ZQX saw what was the fourth reflector. So off we went. We got to the end and then had to make some assumptions about the possible GZ. Persistence paid off as our systematic search pattern revealed the hide. A fun activity. TFTC Sitehound.
Sorry for the long delay in getting it up and running again. I have the new plate, but work and travel are preventing me from getting up there for another few weeks.
I went past today in daylight and couldn't find the reflector or mounting plate. It will take me at least a few weeks to get the equipment together to repair this one.
In the meantime, if anyone is desperate to do it, send me an email a day or so before you head out and I'll tell you the no. for "C" and in what direction to start looking for the next reflector.

I visited the trail with some caching friends as they did it and one of the reflectors has gone AWOL and needs to be replaced again.
After finding another night cache last night, I had the bug and was at Wp1 as soon as it got dark! Thoroughly enjoyed following the markers and loved the final hide too. Even at night the views are great, and I couldn't believe how many roos were about! Super cache, fav point awarded. TFTC!

The reflectors have all been replaced, attachments to trees loosened to allow for a bit more growth and the final cache location checked too. Please ensure that the zip-lock bag containing the log book is sealed. It only takes a few seconds and ensures that the log stays dry.
Happy hunting!
Happy hunting!
I went with the group on the Easter Day hunt, although I'd found it previously. Some of the reflectors are in need of new reflective surface - first waypoint is almost completely gone, third was partially gone, fourth was completely missed by the group.
What fun it is to go night caching with a group of (by now) geo-friends. After the exhilaration of finding the nearby "Star Gazing" night cache, we set off on this one. We were able to find most of the waypoints here - well enough to be able to locate the cache, and with a mild hint from sumbloke who was along for the ride, I was able to locate the final cache location. We gathered around and signed in. On the way up to GZ, Mrs RoddyC was unfortunate enough to catch her leg on the barbed wire fence mentioned in the cache description. It required treatment afterwards, so future cachers take care of that fence!
Thanks for the hunt - SiteHound - we really enjoyed it.

Found this one tonight with a large group. Thankfully we had a previous finder with us who gently guided us when we were on the wrong path. Some of the reflectors need some attention but the path is good and the multi was a nice challenge. Thanks SiteHound.
After completing another nearby night cache we pushed on to have a go at this one. Luckily for us we had a previous finder make the journey with us. There was a reflector or two missing but we made the find at GZ. Thanks for placing.
Found with a group of cachers. We missed a number but had a previous finder who helped with the number. I think there could be more reflectors here to highlight the trail. I always find the waypoints are too far apart. A bit disappointed with the fence in the way. The barbed wire took a bite out of one of the group. Tftc
Made a group assault on this one, and it required all the candlepower and eagle eyes of the group. Some of the reflectors have largely worn away, and were reflecting quite dimly. I guess they've been there for a long time since Cracker left them, and not sure how much longer they'll last. However, with much consulting we eventually gathered the info, and found the treasure box. Only one casualty from the person-eating wire trap tonight.

#434- With my fellow Venturers at my side, we followed the shinnies and calculated the coordinates. But with half of us giving up at the last reflector, me plus three trekked to the cache for our first night-cache.

After tackling the new nearby night cache with the group, MrDamage and the Lokipagans decided to knock this one off as well. Fingers were well and truly numb by this point. Found the first marker easily enough and it took Pagan's keen eyes to spot #2. #3 was revealed with a bit of a search but we thought we had lost the trail at #4. Finally spotted something way off in the distance and on closer inspection, sure enough it was what we were looking for. Luckily we had good torches and spotted the remaining treasures easily enough. GZ calculated, navigated the booby traps Cracker had left and then we were cracking open his treasure chest. A nice walk and glad we stayed to do this one tonight. Thanks SiteHound
Found 8:05 pm with Lokipagan. Team Lokipagan and I were out here with a bunch of other cachers look for another night cache. Since we hadn't done this cache we were going to do this one as well. The night was pretty cold and the previous 'night cache' didn't warm us up but as we set off on this cache hunt there was a little bit more walking which seemed to provide us with some exertion to warm us. We had set off with a tip from the others red, white red so at one point we got a little bit nonplussed as the red didn't show but we soon realised we hadn't missed any after all and on our way to calcing the coords once the last was located. The smaller half of Lokipagan was off like a greyhound as we did this and puts some strain on the stroll that I've become more accustomed to as we clambered over to GZ through scrub. Again as with the earlier cache not much regard to possible wildlife as we strode straight through the undergrowth with just torches lighting the way. I am glad the night was cold.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Yay.. Found with Bexstar.. our first night cache and we loved it!! There were lots of horses and roos to keep us company... didn't know if we were headed in the right direction in the end but came up gold tftc!!!
found this cache with my spare mum and Noikmeister this cache was sooooo much fun even with one of the reflective bits missing we still managed to find all the tags. we definitely took the scenic route to gz but it was still lots of fun
Taking it offline as the reflector on WP2 is missing. It will be a few weeks before I get the opportunity to replace it.
Great night for a wander with the spare-daughter and Noikmeister this evening for the final cache within my 5km radius.... providing nothing get's published whilst I am typing this log up.
We got to the posted coordinates and soon after spotted the first marker. The second marker was another story. Searched for a while heading along the trail in opposite directions until we found the third marker. Hmmm.....backtracked to a logical spot and found what we needed. The tag is there but the reflective strip appears to have come off. However from there on it was smooth sailing....other than the occasional stumble. Once all the information was to hand and GZ calculated we opted to take what we thought would be the longer, but 'less fency' route....but was wrong on that point. Still a great nights wander on a lovely evening. Thanks SiteHound.

I got a late invite to go along for this cache from Batgirl just before dinner and answered yes. So an hour later we were at the parking coordinates and wandering up in the deepeniing gloom which didn't deepen too far thanks to a nearly full moon. WP1 was found easily, but then we did a fair bit of wandering around until I spotted a reflector, which turned out to be WP3. Back tracking I spotted a glint, which was WP2, but it was not very glinty as the reflector had fallen off its backing. From there is was smooth sailing, thanks to the bright reflectors able to be seen from far away.
I like the twist on the night cache with the numbers to find GZ. I haven't found one like that before. We opted to circle around the fence, which ended up just putting us across another fence so.... yeah. At GZ I was about 4 metres away from where Batgirl found the cache, full of booty!
Thanks for the adventure SiteHound.

I haven't done one of these night caches before so I was curious to know how it would go. At the 1st gz I got the torch out.A Fenix PD35 retina exploding device (near 1000 light thingies) and gave it a shine around. A few things winked back at me. So off I went to explore. 1st one found with out any trouble. Next OK. Missed the 3rd and had to back track from the fourth.
On the way to the fourth I had some funny reflections that seemed to come and go. A lightly blue colour. I was thinking that it may have been roos blinking and winking at me. But it turned out to be a herd of cows.
They were all looking very unsure of what this bright light was in the night. A wide berth was given to them.
At the final location I was a bit skeptical that the given numbers were going to have me at the booty. I was blinded a bit by some red herrings I thinks.
With torch in hand I made a straight line approach. Something I wouldn't do in the day time light for obvious reasons.
Cache located with out much trouble.
This was lots of fun and brought a new perspective to caching. I'll be looking for a few more of these style of caches in the future.
Thanks for the find. A well set up one too. A fav point for me.

Found my first multi and night cache while visiting Canberra where I used to live. Found it with Smurfette and a group of a caches too. Found it at 10:00pm on Wednesday 21st January 2014
Found on the night time raid with a large group of cachers in the rain. TFTC TNLNSL Found with Scruffyblake, charli_bear, me_to and about 9 other teams
The call had gone out over facebook, AussieGuy007 was visiting, and an executive decision was made to find this one.
An hour before we had decided to attack this one, I looked outside. Hmm, yep, bit of rain. Pfft, like that's stopped us going hunting for caches before! Saw several people had pulled out because of the weather, but that's ok. I assumed it'd be a very small group of like 4 or 5 of us.
Got to a street near. Got yelled at by grumpy neighbour (apparently the nature strip next to his house is NOT a parking spot! Arrgh oops!) so i moved car and waited for everyone else to turn up.
9pm or so - we all headed off. Jumped through a fence, limbo'ed through another, and commando crawled through another, chasing shiny things. Sounds ridiculous when i say it like that
Very lovely walk - could see the lights of ..tuggeranong? (i think it was that direction) at one point, and i'm kinda tempted to go out there again in the daylight (and when it's not raining, maybe..) to appreciate the views.
I'm very thankfull i did this in a group - I thought my torch was pretty good, but it couldn't see that far! (most likely because of the rain!)
My boots are still drying, i'm finding several dozen mosquito bites on me, and i'm still trying to explain to muggle housemates why "I went geocaching at 9pm last night, in the rain?" but did i enjoy myself? YES!

"You may be right...I may be crazy. But it just might be a lunatic you're looking for." Never was a lyric so appropriate as it was tonight! A group of about 10 crazy Cachers headed out in pouring rain to track down the bushrangers booty - what were we thinking! We were a bit lost at the port of call, but once we found the first gemstone, we were in smooth waters- literally .
All the gemstones were easy to see, even if some of them seemed further away than we imagined. The codes were easy to discern and once the fence was crossed, the treasure easy to find. The rain eased during the journey and of course stopped when I was in the car on the way home!
Thanks to everyone for turning up and making it such a fun trek, to McPhan for his leadership, and of course Sitehound for the cache - a favourite from me!

Boy what a fun night that was. Pooring rain at night, trapesing through the hills looking for the markers. Awesome fun to do as a group. TYFC.
My first night cache
My first night cache
Definitely a case of the blind leading the blind. It wasn't until I got to GZ that I realised that without the larger group, I wouldn't have found the cache. You need a good light source to be able to do this one and although mine was an LED Lenser, I think the batteries probably need to be changed in order to get a decent light from it.
Plus all the reflection from the rain only made our job harder. The other thing that rain doesn't help is touch screen phones and GPSes. For a while there, no button I would push would get the thing responding. With wet hands and a damp screen, the electronics needed to follow the trail was all that more difficult.
But, with fellow cachers along and multiple devices, all was good. A call of "over here" soon after reaching the posted coords got us all the right direction, and then the penny dropped once we realised what we were looking for. Followed the pirate treasure trail, over hill and dale, through water soaked patches of grass and avoiding the boggy traps the pirates had set for us.
Eventually found the cache and signed the log. Took nothing, but I believe one of the other cachers swapped a trackable.
Great adventure and a nice little 'mini-event'.
Thanks for the cache SiteHound. Fav point for this one.

[font=Lucida Console]8715. [green]Only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun. On the other hand some Geocachers (and a couple of yellow hued hobbits) head out on a drizzly night.
Started to walk to the meeting point and along the way Cankid was encouraging me with taunts of how wet and muddy it would be. Got to the street and found a posse of cars with sheltering geocachers inside. We stood around and chatted whilst waiting for AussieGuy007 (shouldn't that more correctly be AussieBloke007?) to finish his repast.
Eventually we were off and having no clue as to what was required we scoured the starting point for some clue. A couple of us wandered over to the first marker and one of us with poor eyesight missed the clue. After getting to the second point the clue was noticed and so back to the first and then the adventure started in earnest. Needless to say he wasn't very impressed with this behaviour and decided not to accompany us any further on our night cache.
All went very well from there on and GZ was accosted after the group found various ways over under through and around the intervening fence. It was commented that the view from GZ would have been good in daylight but was still cool by the lack of moonlight to complement this well put together cache.
Many thanks to those that suggested and put together the arrangements. Great fun and another indicator that Geocachers are mad. [/green]

When this night caching expedition was proposed (via facebook) I didn't hesitate to add my name to the list - it looked like a good choice for my find of the day to keep my current streak alive. As I'm new to Canberra, any excuse to get out and explore and meet other cachers is welcome. Even the heavy rain didn't deter me - all the more of an adventure. I arrived early, as I'm still getting used to travelling times. It was still raining as others congregated. We eventually headed off just before 9pm.
At the posted co-ords, it took a while to determine what we needed to follow, from then it was straightforward. The rain eased off as we went. We disturbed a few kangaroos after the 3rd WP. The cache was soon found once we got to GZ. After logging and swapping duties were completed we took the direct route back to the cars.
A fun social evening out. TFTC.

[green]About time I took a crack at a [blue]nightcache[green], and with the hordes set to bring the rains down here tomorrow [blue]sumbloke[green] and I figured we'd take his brand new torch out in search of some [blue]Bushranger's Booty[green] [^] Parking was easy, and our adventure began well, with the first few locations spotted without much fuss. I was amazed at how bright the tags were - surely the [blue]Bushranger[green] wouldn't make it so simple... and yep - spot on - it wasn't quite so simple! The last couple of locations had us scurrying into the bush, and then we had to find the best way past the fence. We persisted, and without too much fuss found ourselves camped on a suitable outcrop. The [blue]Booty[green] was soon in hand, and with valuables exchanged, we were on our way. A successful night venture, and great fun following the reflectors [blue]Thanks for the cache Sitehound
#522. 130 days in a row.
Went out tonight with Gumby Maca to have a go at this cache. I got a new torch that needed to be broken in and it turned out to be very good for this type of cache.
We followed the lights and gathered the coordinates, then headed off to GZ. When we got there, we went the wrong way around and almost completely circumnavigated the area before finding the cache. Signed the log, Maca made a trade and I dropped off a TB which I've held for about three months.

8699 + 999 = 9698. Found on an interesting evening walk.
Yep - I like night time caches. Something a bit different and an excuse to wander around after dark. This one took me a while as I was on my own. I was very happy when I got to GZ and the cache was revealed. I wish there were more caches like this one !
Thanks SiteHound ! Favourite Point !

it was a dark and a misty moon which guided our team from point to point, following the dancing lights around the ridge, the only other lights was a bouncy MTB guy in the distance doing laps .
A small group quickly dispatched all the challenges and after about 30mins found the booty.. sadily we couldn't retire with said riches.. so back we headed from hence we came.
thanks mr roo, wombat and Cankid plus others for the night -time fun...

Found with Cankid, Mtrax and Wombatatcrows. The group found all the markers quickly even tho some of us just felt like we were following others. Once gz was worked out and we were all under the fence. The front runners had found the cache before I got there. Always enjoyable doing a cache in a group TFTC
Well, this one ticked a few boxes you might say! Got another night cache, one less in my 5km radius (Only one cache left!) and also got an August souvenir! I saw a post on Facebook about attempting this one tonight and wanted to go but I had to convince the parents that it was a good idea. Eventually got their permission and then we headed off to go grab this one, with the Japanese exchange student in tow! Met up with everyone and then we were on our way, grabbing the waypoints with decent speed and making some good conversation as well. Eventually got to GZ and then a quick find. An all round fun time, I think the exchange student enjoyed it (if I can remember the Japanese for that!) as well. TFTC SiteHound!
As noted by previous loggers, a small group of us set out on a hunt for the treasure on a beautiful moonlight night. This is the first time I have done a night cache with a group. A totally different experience. There are some definite advantages with younger eyes and better torches and someone to assist with getting over/under fences.
But my previous experiences with night caches (like all caches) is to enjoy the journey and the location. If I find a cache then that is a bonus. I trailed behind most of the time so that I could try and enjoy the journey. My night vision is pretty good on nights like these. I get the direction of the next WP with my torch and then walk to it with my torch OFF. I do appreciate that not everyone is blessed with good night vision and so they need to use a torch, so a reminder to Wombat to be considerate of other peoples needs.
Thanks Sitehound for a great location and enjoyable hunt. Gets a favorite from me. A very interesting container as well, I haven't seen one of these before. Thanks also to Mr Roo for the invitation to come along.

Ahhhh, Winter Solstice! That probably explains why we pulled the plug on last week's attempt (well, that and the pouring rain). Winglen, Sol de lots of finds and myself set off in the balmy 7 degrees on a nightcache mission, been a while since my last. Ok, I do take the responsibility for the slight greyness associated with kick-off time. All reflectors found in good working order. All fences either shimmied or (insert high pitched squeak) straddled - I do note Winglen declined my polite offer of throwing her over. Time flies when you are having fun so I have no idea how long that took us. Thanks Sitehounder, lurve yr work !
I can't remember when I did my last night cache, so it was an easy decision to say yes when Agent Basil asked who was interested in a night time walk. Last weekend was drizzly, but this Saturday was better and not too cold. We found all the markers without much difficulty, climbed or crawled under a few fences, and caught up on news while we walked, so it didn't seem long at all before we had final coords and a cache. All in all, a very good reason to head across town for a Winter Solstice party without the chanting, weird robes and beards! Thanks guys for the company, and thanks SiteHounder for a nicely done cache.
After the rain put us off last week, winglen, Agent Basil and I were hopeful for a good night tonight. Turns out all was 'cept the what time is it thing.....but once that was sorted, we headed off in search of treasure......
Everything went well really.....there was a bit of discussion about one of the sparkly things, but we headed off in that direction anyway and were rewarded with the next marker. From there to GZ was fine and the cache was soon in hand.
Always fun doing a night time walk, and with no man made light to be seen, it really was a dark night.
Thanks winglen and AB for the company and chatter....and thanks Sitehounder for the fun cache. Fav point for me......nicely set-up.

So, I have a sore knee...get a weekend massage appointment to work on the unhappy area and so what better time to go night caching with allrounder. Nice area and fairly easy stumbling around in the dark with a gummy leg....fun spotting the indicators and dodging the ditches while you focused on the red and white dots. Thanks for the cache and the setup...left my common sense and took home some more swelling on my knee. All good TFTC.
Found @ 8:29pm with Shadow!
We only decided late this afternoon to have a crack at this one and had to wait until Shadow!'s massage was complete.
The night was clear but quite windy. Fortunately it wasn't too cold.
The first three gems were found quickly but even though we spotted the fourth we thought it was too far away. We backtracked and then figured maybe it was the right one. From there it was plain sailing as Shadow! spotted the fifth and sixth gems from the fourth.
After calculating GZ, Shadow! demonstrated her vegetation flattening technique to get under the fence while I stuck with the commando crawl.
Shadow! spied the spoils and I swapped out the minion, leaving a piece o' eight and a mini car. I also grabbed the "Ein Donut-Stein geht auf Reisen" TB.
On the way back, Shadow! again demonstrated her under the fence technique, this time succeeding in blinding me as she got me fair smack in the eyes with her candles.
Thanks for the adventure SiteHounder, this one earns a favourite from me!

The walk in the dark was a bit worrying at first, seeing bright thing which at first I thought were touch's of other geocaches but as we got closer it was horse's eyes looking back at us.
then Finally reach GZ.
after that stood around for about a hour hearing all there stories which has got me hooked

#2250 - 19:00; Saw this cache when it first came out and it wasn't too long before the members of the GGG had started to plan the next night caching mission. Tonight was the nominated night, weather permitting, which it did. I had made it home for a quick change after work and was headed off when the message came in from FurfacesLL that the girls were on their way too. I was just turning onto Hindmarsh Drive when the call came from Rapidlywild to make sure I too was headed in the right direction.
Arrived at the designated parking area just behind FFLL No 1 and No 2, to find Rapidlywild, specimenX, Boot65 and Tamso with candles at the ready and champing at the bit. Off we headed to the posted coords, then on to WP1 with Boot65 (aka electron) taking an early lead. The rubies and diamonds were easily spotted and we had soon hit the half way mark. I was chatting with specimenX about her GPSr functionality, so she decided to get ahead of the game and start loading in a partial coord for GZ, only to be told that the alphabet soup wasn't in order and not to get ahead of herself.
Luckily WP5 was a ruby, as some mobile diamonds were spotted nearby, which turned out to be horse rug logos . Once all of the required information was pieced together, it was time to program in the required GZ and off again as we entered the end game. Not sure whether other options were available, but we decided to go through the fence. Carefully! Reached GZ where FFLL No 2 made the find and undertook log signing duties on behalf of the masses.
Mission complete, we all headed back to the geomobiles where preliminary plans for the next geomission were being hatched. To quote the Olympic motto, the next one looks like being much more of a Citius, Altius, Fortius mission than this one required.

3340. Found with FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild, specimenX, LuckyL10N and Tanso.
Finally, after the stragglers had arrived we were off and searching. A nice little stroll around the hill with the more than entertaining company. No problems finding all the rubies and diamonds with all those candles and soon we had the booty captured.
LuckyL10n summed up our adventure pretty well, so I don't have much more to add. I'm sure the others will find something.
Thanks to the gang for the great company and thanks to SiteHounder for the neat cache.

The expedition was arranged not long after this cache was published, we met up with Boot65, Rapidlywild, SpecimenX, LuckyL10n and newcomer Tanso at dark o'clock with candle's at the ready. We headed off spirits high as it had been awhile since we had an evening adventure. We trekked along collecting the jewels in the night and information needed, but soon ran out of the sparkling gems, so GZ was calculated and after a quick search the cache was located. TFTC and thanks again for an enjoyable night and great company!
Saw this one pop up on the radar just recently-Kewl!! A night cache! I do love night caches!
So plans were made amongst the geo buddies to get together to give this one a go! So then at 18:00hrs (or there abouts for some of the dawdlers ) The assault squad consisting of the FurfacesLL ladies, Rapidlywild, LuckyL10n, Boot65, Tanso and myself, assembled near the gate ready to embark on our night time adventure
Luckily for us it was a clear, mild evening-definitely makes things a lot more pleasant at this time of year! So off we went following the diamonds and rubies, laughing and chatting along the way. FurfacesLL #2 did a great job being OH&S officer for the evening, highlighting the slip, trip and snag hazards along the way .
Had a chat to LuckyL10n about a few features of the Magellan GPS, and I thought I'd be smart and create a waypoint to enter the clues into along the way, but then realised the alphabet soup was jumbled up instead of being in order [:O)] No worries though-just put them in the right order then it was easy to slot the last one in before heading off to GZ Once there, it was a quick find by one of the FurfacesLL-great container!
So then after the caching duties were complete, off we all went back to our respective geomobiles where we hung around for a bit of geotalk before heading off
Thanks SiteHounder and the geomob, of course, for the fun adventure

It was night attack time !!! So the crazy tribe made plans and met at the gathering point. Well the neighbours had no idea what they were in for [:p] we definitely make the most out of night cache exposure
It was a wonderful clear night, stars were gleaming bright and we were all eager for another night cache as it has been a while since we all gathered for one. Once everyone had arrived, we all welcomed a newcomer who was with Boot65, welcome to the crazy crew Tanso hope we didn't scare you too much lol.
Off to the starting point we went, then it was twinkle time following the diamonds and ruby's. This one was a lovely stroll as we were all engaged in random conversations incorporating caching and just general life. Man I love these night caches always have a ball.
As we made our way along, we had no issues with finding the diamonds and rubies, that would have a lot to do with the 50,000 torches we had and the range of shorties to tallies, we had all aspects covered
GZ was quickly calculated, collected, signed and returned. We then made our way back to the geomobiles where conversations continued for a while longer before we all dispersed in different directions back to our homes.
Thanks for a wonderful enjoyable night cache SiteHounder and thanks to the crew for another awesome night out caching Cannot wait till the next one [:d]

That was fun, did this one by myself which was a bit scary in the dark All waypoints were found easily and was at GZ in about 20mins. Loved the container. Unfortunately for me the very next step I took after replacing the cache was a bad one and I took a tumble Heard a crunch in my pocket but it was just my pen which didn't survive the fall, not my phone. Fav point from me and I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to have a crack at a night cache as it followed a logical path and there were no parts where I had search around for ages looking for the next marker. Well done!
Found with Akito10, Batz7 & Commando04. Our first night cache - and a terrific first one at that. We had a great time doing this cache. We took a wrong turn to find "C" but after retracing our steps it was soon sighted. Thanks so much for this cache SiteHounder. (The kidlets signed the cache in case it is one day opened from Premium only.)
Took geo-kids, -hubby and -dog out with Sitehounder and her geo-family so they could all try out Sitehounder's cache. Sitehounder and I followed and watched as the kidlets raced from gem to gem until they had the bushrangers bounty in hand. Perfect caching night with a gorgeous clear sky for some stargazing.
Took golden wattle pathtag and left smiley magnet.
TFTC Sitehounder. Had fun both placing it with you and watching the kids find it.

Well - that was most enjoyable! Teamed up with JLT and AP for a just under an hour walk in the dark! Moon was impressive, and so were the occasional roo eyes along the way! Had a little trouble with C - completely missing it at first - which we discovered when we found D. So a small backtrack, and C was soon bagged! Spotted the final two in one beam, and then soon had the cache found! Thanks SH - nicely done!
A perfect evening and time of year for night caching with Tankengine and Amethyst Pig. The full moon had more power than my candle but with teamwork the gems were soon located and I was home in time for dinner. TFTC SiteHounder - my first real night cache, and to TE and AP for the company.
Found at 1900(ish) on a night caching stroll with Tankengine and joeylovestreasure after an impromptu plan was put into play.
Te was already on site when I arrived, with jlt not far behind. I usually cache alone, so this team effort was a welcome change and between us we made short work of the waypoints - although for a while we found ourselves 'lost at c' before a bit of backtracking had us back on track.
Once at GZ the cache was quickly located, the log signed and a couple of pathtags traded for a piece of pirate treasure, then all that was left was the stroll back to the cars and the parting of the ways. Thanks for the cache SiteHounder, and thanks also to Tankengine and joeylovestreasure for the company.

We were out and about collecting our daily cache when two new ones popped up! Well that made things slightly interesting . It's hard enough resisting a new cache let alone a new NIGHT cache !
So off we trekked to do some fun night prospecting and score some sweet sweet FTF booty. It was a beautiful clear moonlit night and it was so refreshing being out. We cracked out the candles and soon picked up the trail and off we went. One point the trail went cold, but a quick refresh of our candles and the beacons soon re illuminated. Mr Stormcatcher in his shorts and with a very fragile knee kept to the paths while Miss Stormcatcher did the off road components. The final booty was awesome and nicely camo'd indeed with Miss Stormcatcher initially overlooking it! Nice to pick up our daily cache and a bonus *FTF* at 00:25 under the stars.
What a great night cache, well constructed, great location, with a good balance of difficultly. Nothing more fun than scanning the darkness for those tricky little gems. Favourite for us and a top night cache indeed. Highly recommended . Well done Sitehounder!
