Great cache guardian. This series is the linchpin of my 200 in 24 hours challenge. I've wanted to get it for a while and decided it would work well as the basis to try and meet the 200 goal. Thanks for all the caches you place - it's a huge effort. I struggle to get out and maintain a few dozen.
After transferring this series over to DSD quite some time ago now, its time I log some finds. Have fond memories of the planning, preparation and placement of this series. Its a lovely location with a range of scenic views and wildlife. Thanks for keeping this series active DSD.
It was very wet underfoot and very overgrown. Some containers were found out in the open and I surprised they didn't float away. I suspect some others have. There were also a number that had wet logs and could not be signed. Overall, it was a fun morning in a beautiful area. Thanks for the cache

Camped at Yass for a week, today our goal is to take another bite out of this series of caches.
Your efforts to create the hides and maintain this trail is very much appreciated.
Scenery is great, not too much passing traffic, weather beaut.
All caches were in good condition unless otherwise stated in write note.

Today’s adventures out and about picking up some caches around Bookham and surrounds with Marmaduke Rothschild. An epic day planned before our starts to shrink once again with lockdowns closing in around us.
And before the next lot of rain hits us. With winter nearly over I’m sure looking forward to spring and longer days of warmth and sunshine ️.
All logs in good condition unless otherwise noted.
Thanks to COs for placing and maintaining these caches.

The family is on the coast enjoying the school holidays so I decided to have the long weekend in the Yass-Tumut district to increase my numbers for the year. The first challenge was the Threatend Species Trail so I took the blue road grader down this road to try and crack 100 for the day.
The road was very busy (maybe long weekend not such a great idea), parking was mixed, the grass was very long and the Caches do need a little TLC. In the end I found 89 caches had 12 DNFs and 2 I just couldn't really look for. In the end I also only found four of the clues for the puzzle so that was not solved either

**Most of caches were in bad shape and need fixing, ASAP.**
What better way to use a day off then by going Geocaching! I decided on starting the ‘Endangered Species Power Trail’ which has been on the to-find-list for far too long. I did the horseshoe today which is the far end of the trail. The cache numbers I found were #69 to #110. **Most of caches were in bad shape and need fixing, ASAP.** I was able to fix a couple of logsheets but unfortunately I didn’t have containers with me. I hope someone will go fix them soon. TB visit on all caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found and for allowing them to bring me and others joy. TFTC’S

Said goodbye to Di Morgan who are heading further South as we head North and Home. Today was the Endangered Species trail hopefully to be able grab them all, while letting the wife get access to watch the Canberra Raiders on the Phone. (Don't ask, today they did not win) Also picking up the outgoing and incoming where we can.
The Endangered Species trail, needs an Owner maintenance check, as we replaced a few on the trail after spending considerable time at gz and then widening only to find some containers cracked or out exposed or 13mtrs from GZ. I do note that we did dome accross new containers placed in Jul 18

Working through the Endangered Species Power Trail today, trying to get 100 caches in 24 hours! It's been a beautiful drive. Thanks for the great series! - Adam & Kahlia.

A plan was hatched in the last week with TikvaNZ to finally get out to Bookham and do the Endangered Species trail. It has been a long time coming for me and I had several half-hearted attempts over the last few years to get organized enough to do it. But now it is happening! We will attempting to do it all in one go, but no judgement if we have to come back to finish it off another day. Unless otherwise noted, all caches were found easily, in accordance with the hint and in good condition.
For this cache: all good.
Thanks Rapidlywild for the cache and the fun!

AngelG27 and I had talked about doing this series for well over a year, prefering to wait for the warmer months and longer days, but avoiding the peak of summer. Everything lined up at relatively short notice to do them today. We departed my place just before 7am, and I was dropped home again just before 3pm. From #001 to #110 took just under 4.5 hours. Most were easily and quickly found. A few were found out in the open. We replaced the lid for one. Some had been replaced by the previous finders. We did DNF 4 but re-searched on our return and found two of them, leaving only two unfound. We didn't find three of the letters, but hadn't looked in the first few caches. Fortunately we had enough to easily determine where the final was. It was a very pleasant day out and the area was looking very green. TFTC and series.

Headed out with Countrykittykat, Nibletricecakes, JDogMonkey & k8tybee for a bit of caching along the Endangered Species Series.. Fitzy_1965 was designated drive for car 2 so that he could pick up the last couple that weren't published when he was last out here.
We started at the end furthest from home as we had a time limit. All caches found easily. Maintained some as went with permission from the CO.

This series has been on our radar for some time, and we have passed by a number of times, always with something important on the agenda meaning we were unable to stop.
This time we left Tumut and made the short journey to Jugiong. A wonderful camp place with facilities and a few caches, but within striking distance of this series.
And what a great series it was. Initially the landscape was somewhat scrubby, but the further we got into the trail the more it opened up into farming country. But oh so dry!
Striking the river we saw it as almost an anomaly in the accompanying countryside. But we particularly enjoyed following it and saw a number of campers in the seemingly remote area.
Most of the caches were nice quick finds, but we did struggle with a few and also ended up with a few DNFs.
Great to see good-sized caches for such a large series.
Our apologies for the generic log, but we really did enjoy the series and the drive through the countryside.

Today was going to be an absolute scorcher with temperatures of 30+ expected so we decided to go caching again and the goal today was the endanged species series, however we were unable to finish the endanged species mystery we only had 9 of the 10 numbers found. This was find #28 of our total of 112 finds consisting of 111 traditionals 1 Mystery and 1 DNF.
Thanks Rapidlywild & specimenX for placing this series we started at the last one and worked our way back to bookem before returning to our Yass campsite.
Grand Cache count = 595 total consisting of 562 Traditionals, 18 Multi, 6 Mystery, 4 Earth, 2 Virtual and 3 Event.

With another early start we left Yass and headed south to attack the Endangered Species series in the company of Na'wal and DAB on our 3 day camping trip up north. With the weather being ideal, we thoroughly enjoyed our caching day as we headed down Childowla Rd towards the picturesque journey along the river where all but one cache was signed as The DNT.
Once we hit the intersection we all quickly decided to turn left first then make our way back to the other side. Awesome views along here [^]
Thanks so much specimenX & Rapidlywild for the placement of this excellent series for us and others to enjoy.

We have see this animal a few times in our travels. Signed and replaced as found.

Coords well off but I'm sure it was just my phone. Quick find in logical location. Cache all good
On a lovely day trip with my wonderful wife (BlueIris) we decided to grab some geocaches on the endangered species power trail. We had started this series many months ago before the Red Centre Event, but sadly due to some threats from the local farmers we decided to leave and come back later. Today was the day, the river was in flood today. Not many animals about, a little rain and several farmers along the way. Some of the series caches needs some tlc but they are all easy to find. Thanks for the series, we both really enjoyed doing it. Signed the logbooks either DSD, Darksidedan or DARKSIDE. BlueIris also signed the logs either BI or BlueIris.
We arrived in Yass later than we hoped so found some accomodation for the night. Had a look on the map and noticed this trail so thought we would get some done this afternoon and maybe a few more in the morining on our way out of town. The logs will be mainly generic and we will let you know on the last cache we end up doing, just how we went.

Since having two game drives down this road in 2014, today we had the opportunity to immerse ourselves again in some of Australia’s most stunning countryside. We hunted amongst the cattle, some often coming to stand around us as we signed the logs. The first wombat we saw was extinct, later we were excited to see one lumbering along in the bushes. As with previous times, the caches were well concealed yet easy to access. The research and preparation to establish this series is incredible, we learnt so much in nature’s classroom.
Thanks Rapidlywild for this outstanding series, for everyone's enjoyment.

Day two of the Endangered Species trail so we thought we would attempt to finish the series before we leave towards the Mega event at Alice Springs.

Lets see how the trail goes. How many would I find? A late start, but the day looked promising. Final details posted at the last cache (of the day). Great views, no wiggly sticks but plenty of spiders, grasshoppers, sheep, cows and the odd roo and wallaby. Oh, llamas as well. Got into the habit of waving to passing muggles, they all wave regardless. Noticed some caches weren't rehiden that well, maybe the weather, or maybe just someone a little slack. Had fun regardless, which was the important thing. TNLNSL TFTC

Suscoe started this trail today and will hopefully complete it by next weekend.
It was a warm morning to start this one and by half midday we were in the mid 30's.
Hot and still down this way all morning.
But what a delightful area and we enjoyed our 3 hours here today.
A great range of creatures seen as we wandered the trail included wombats, horses, cows, sheep, cockies, alpacas, bees and their hives, a wallaby, millions of grasshoppers, currawongs, bullants and millions of grasshoppers.
We enjoyed the various locations and hides, a few have been thrown by the locals creatures out of their hiding spots to provide nesting spaces. We popped them back where we suspected they belongs.
The river was flowing pleasantly today and the hills looked brown and beaut.
Thanks to Rapidlywild for this delightful wander in the countryside.
Terrific cache pages too!!!!!!!!
I hope those long liners stop killing these majestic birds.

Tftc,
So today was a mission. A mission to complete the Endangered Species Powertrail in Bookham. I dragged Azzepious along with an early morning start. We made the journey down to Bookham, grabbing a couple of caches along the way before starting the trail. Along the way we encountered spiders, snakes, kangaroos, sheep, cows, alpacas and horses. At one stage we were held up behind a flock of sheep. We were treated to some wonderful views. We better planning we would have brought a picnic to have down by the river.
My caching partner Azzepious suffered a bruised heel and a few ant bites. His limping and screams of pain slowed us down but we pushed through to the end. We emerged victorious back into Bookham to find the puzzle cache, capping off the trail.
Thanks to the COs for creating this wonderful trail!

OCW delloro and Pipes_down_under, we found all 111 out of 111 in the **Endangered Species Power Trail**. A great series to help us spend the time exploring this region. A lot of work has gone into putting this together, so apologies for the generic log, but will include more detail for the puzzle cache. TFTC.
Out to grab this great **Endangered Species** series today with delloro and Brewmaker.

Congratulations to both of you, specimenX and Rapidlywild, on your incredible work. Finding the coordinates for that many locations is hard enough, but all the research and the maintenance makes it a huge achievement. Well done.
I'm sorry but my logs will be generic - they won't compare with the effort you put into these caches.
Most of the caches I found today were in good condition and I only had 1 DNF and 71 finds.
I have never been down this road before, so was very impressed by the beautiful scenery, the fantastic properties and the picturesque river. Many thanks for bringing me here.

Can't believe I forgot to log this one! Found with Aquilus1 on a hot day 28/11/16. Remember this one well. It was our last cache for this part of the trail. The road was closed ahead, but we had heard rumours why, so we didn't feel comfortable driving down it. We discussed walking, but I had a time restriction and it was really, really hot. This cache was all good though and a nearby lizard made it more special, he was so cute. Thanks again for all the hard work COs. Tftc!!!
Set out with dty73 to see how much of the ES trail we could get through today. Started at #1 at 8am and finished at #110 at 4pm with 1 dnf and 8 we didn't get to with a road closure. Logged at 2.05pm with this being #84:102 of the ES trail we achieved. An outstanding well maintained trail surrounded in stunning scenery. Well done specimenX and rapidlywild a truly outstanding effort! This was the last one for us down this way with the road blocked. We had gone past the local traffic only sign but the tape across the road a little further on was the point we decided to stop. We had discussed walking it but at this time of the day with the sun in full heat and not feeling up to the walk decided to turn around and just keep going. A few photos of a sunning lizard and time for lunch and we turned around about 2.15pm to go rejoin the track on the other branch.
Saw alpacas who were as interested in us as we were in them, think this was 2 stops earlier...2084 so far for us. Thanks for placing this cache Rapidlywild, without cachers like you we wouldn't have a hobby. Signed log. Bugger the road is closed from this point local traffic only. big signs and a little further alone there is red and white tape over the road. couldn't see what was wrong or how long it may be closed. sorry to be the carrier of bad news
Today was the day to finish off this series. Like others should have done it before the grass took over. Most finds still easy after wacking away at the grass and thistles. Meet up with some other caches once of the way in and again on the way out. TFTC.
Been keen to come back and have another run at some more of this trail. It was a day off (shift worker) and with the geofamily interstate visiting family for a week it was the perfect opportunity to get out and just enjoying the beautiful weather and do a good day of caching. It was a late start due to sleeping in but made me way down the Hume to do the next stage of this series. The grass had grown considerably longer since I was here recently and made for some more difficult finds trying to watch for snakes and eventually found one sun baking near #30. Pickup a couple of trackables and dropped a few. All in all it was a great day and very keen to come back and do some more

**Staying at Yass and intending to do the ESPT over two days. I think this is the best time of the year to do the series with everything green and lush and hopefully not any snakes. Best scenery we have seen in a long time. The finds have been relatively straight forward and I noted many caches have new log books. We are using the 4WD so no issues we hope. Picked up a TB for visits ATM. TFTC and TFTPT specimenX and Rapidlywild.**

**I had two days free, a little i30 and a swag, I was ready to take on the ESPT. I messaged the CO, to ask if I needed to assist in any of the caches, and did on a few, as the logs were wet, etc. I found out the day before leaving that a deluge of rain had fallen and the river had risen. The river wasn't the only issue. I was creek hopping at every cache, with the water running beside the roadway. A no point did I let my i30 leave the road, or t would have been bogged. Half way through day one and I was already more than halfway through the trail. Maybe I could do this in one day? Completing them in order I came up to #101, and could not pass the swollen creek crossing, it was still early in the afternoon, so I abandon the i30 and make my way on foot the the final 10. All up 6.5hrs with 112 Caches under my belt (Inc Licence Please)**

Saturday 6 August 2016 left home at 10.15am/back 4.30pm - a cool overcast Winter's day finding 62 from 62 caches to complete the ES series and complement the 48 caches found last week = 110 ) Today over 4 hours, in the low teens, I enjoyed the run between caches over some 22kms in and out of the car ) - sorry bikes but it was too cold and rain threatened along the way (
We enjoyed the farm animals once again (alpaca/cria, sheep/lambs, cows/bulls/calves) and wallabies/joeys, wombats, and birds galore. The pastures are a lush emerald green with brooks, streams, creeks and rivers flowing faster than ever. This time we completed the caches to the left of the fork in the road for a very different steep terrain experience best by car or bike as it's a narrow dirt road. The road to the right of the fork (completed last week) is relatively flat terrain with caches closely following Oaks Creek and the Murrumbidgee - beautiful scenery for a safe walk with the animals in close proximity.
Last week we reported that 61 (now missing - was in many pieces so removed), 63, 51 and 3 were water logged. This week we are reporting that 15, 27(surround by pools of water), 71(in tree hollow but still very damp), 73, 79 (lid broken in 2) all difficult/impossible to sign. Where possible we have moved caches off the ground to assist caches to drain/dry.
Worth 2 favourite points for the start and end of today's finds. Thx muggle husband, TFTC.

Attempting the Endangered Species series has been on our agenda for some time and it became a priority for this trip. We were not confident as it has been raining quite steadily for the last few days but we woke this morning to 1C temperatures but a beautifully clear day. We headed off unsure what was before us. In the end we were able to find 96 caches, had DNFs on two caches but were unable to attempt #99 to #110 inclusive because a swift flowing creek made it unsafe for our 2WD car to continue.
The Endangered Species series is located along some of the best scenery we have seen for some time, particularly at the eastern end down on the river flats. It is magnificent country, an experience we would not have enjoyed without geocaching. Most of the finds were straightforward. Unless stated otherwise, the caches and logbooks were in reasonable condition - at times we were not sure if some logbooks were damp or very cold. Thanks specimenX and Rapidlywild for a very enjoyable series in a very picturesque part of Australia.
Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find.

This one had me wondering why there was a gap of over a km between caches with plenty of hiding spots around. I liked the fact that the rest are hidden out of sight of the houses which makes for a much better experience.
Returned to the half-completed trail over a year after I left it. All quiet today, only saw one vehicle over the 48 caches I did. All were pretty quick finds with good clues. Made much easier by the lack of a ziplock bag on the logs and having the logbook open at the right page. Took less than two hours to do the lot on my own, keeping the engine running the whole time. Apologies for the copy/paste nature of most logs but nearly everyone does it and it's tricky to come up with nifty poems for each animal.
Thanks!

Often to pass the time on board, the crew
will catch an albatross, one of those big birds
which nonchalently chaperone a ship
across the bitter fathoms of the sea.
Tied to the deck, this sovereign of space,
as if embarrassed by its clumsiness,
pitiably lets its great white wings
drag at its sides like a pair of unshipped oars.

We've been wanted to tackle the Endangered Species trail for some time now, and these school holidays we finally had the chance. I've been joined by Ryan Girls and geo/muggle Starlight. Nice day for a spot of caching with a picnic by the river!
Ready for a day of caching with ynnbub and guest muggle starlight, watch out Bookham we are on the trail
Found on my last day in the ACT. It was overcast and looked like rain today but it hasn't rained on me yet so off I went. I found 108 of the caches but include 2 I replaced and a few I repaired along the way. Most caches were easy finds but not in the most obvious spots so a wee bit of a challenge. The area at the end down Nanangroe Rd is just marvelous. It took me just over 7 hours by myself including extra hunting time when I couldn't find one and while I was enjoying the scenery. Tftc
Day six of our month long escape from Tassie. Today we're going back to do the rest of the Endangered Species trail. Found 106 out of 110 over the two days. Fairly warm today but still enjoying ourselves. TFTC
After yesterday's 35 degree temperature it was a pleasure to be caching with cloudy skies and a cool breeze. Through the day it did warm up slightly but didn't slow us down too much. We thoroughly enjoyed all the caches even the one that had a bull as a guardian! Great scenery was the icing on the cake! Thank you so much.
Visiting on holidays and this was our 3rd day out and about caching. Decided to tackle the ES Series and see how many could be done. Not sure if all could be done in one day. We started, we continued and we finished. Thank you to the CO's for placing these caches out along the countryside and bring you down to the Murrumbidgee River. Apologies for the same comment in each of these caches. TFTC
The Endangered Species Power Trail is one of the better Power Trails I have completed in the ACT/NSW, but that's only because I haven't done many series'. A fantastic series and a fun day found all in the series.
Lots of animals - kangaroos, cows, sheep, alpacas and a few horses. Found all 110 - Backlogging caches I found as part of a team, but now I have created my own account, so I'm logging them on my own personal account Thanks to SpecimenX and RapidlyWild.

Out for a big day of caching with The Storm Man. Hit this wonderful series and were done in about 4 hours. Very successful morning with quick finds all the way, thanks to useful hints and accurate coordinates. Thanks for a fantastic series!!
Today is the day that Joelisa and I head out to complete the "Endangered Species" trail in Bookham and then try to beat his largest cache day and set a new one for me. We woke at 5am and set off from Walla Walla at 5.30. 8am we started the trail full of energy to smash it out. TFTC
So we returned to the pt for a second day, having completed the ES up until #70 30/12/15. This part of the trail would see us on some of the most beautiful parts of the trail so far. Twice we had friendly folk pull over, one to check if we were ok & the other to ask if we were lost. We found all caches in good condition, with the exception of #107, which we couldn't locate. We again saw much wildlife & stock on our trek down the roads. Towards the end of the series, driving alongside the river was our highlight today oh and of course completing the ES PT. thank you both for the superb effort that has gone into this series in every way! We are most appreciative that we learnt so much, had so much fun & got to see parts of NSW that we would not have done without your exceptional PT. tftc's sX & Rw xo
To meet a challenge to complete over 150 caches in a day, we have come to this trail. Unless noted to the contrary, all the caches we found were in good order, and we are happy to say that there was only one DNF in the caches we attended.
More notes are added at ES #110 Fishing Cat.
Found on 8th December 2015. TFTC.

Another one done. Yay! After recently completing a 4 month streak its nice to just find caches ad-hoc. I love the challenge of the geocache cache hunt - read the notes, decipher the cache requirements, and go searching for the hide. This is an amazing world wide game of hide and seek. I love it!
Jackson Lightning and I decided to go out for a Power Trail today, and this was a recommended trail to do. It was a 1hr relaxing drive to get here, but then we 'powered on' for 6 hours to hunt the full series of 110 caches (only 1 DNF). We also collected (with a little help from RoddyC) the codes for the nearby mystery cache. We'll collect that another day,
Thanks go to Rapidlywild for placing this cache and maintaining it. It's a great contribution to the Geocaching community and much appreciated. I enjoyed finding this one with Jackson Lightning (JL). This cache was another "Found it" for me. TFTC! Cheers. [Blue]Jump Pilot [/Blue]

Jump Pilot and I decided to go out for a power trail today, so we got into the car and took a 1 hour drive to Bookham on the Hume highway. Every few-hundred metres, I hopped out of the car to sign the log, while Jump Pilot set the GPS to the next cache.
The whole series took about six hours and we met some cachers along the way. The scenery was amazing and we saw lots of different wildlife. I didn't know many endangered animals at the time besides the cheetah, but it has been a worthwhile and educational trip. TFTC
Find n.o. 79 out of 105

Having travelled to Sydney to visit family and friends I was lured further south and on my way past I took the time to stop and do this power trail.
After parking nearby and a short search the cache was soon in hand.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Today was day 2 of our trip heading south to the great southern parts of our country, being Victoria and Tasmania. This was a very interesting power trail with each cache page having good pictures and information about each of the endangered species. Many of the species we knew about but some we had never heard of before. The hides were mostly quick and easy to find but some were a bit more difficult and took a bit longer. Thanks for all the effort and research that went into the construction of this power trail.
#1101 Today the Green-martian & I, together with Duff & Vlad, found all 110 caches. All were found relatively quickly, a handfull were water logged, but they were all there in good shape. A great opportunity to clock up some real fast caches. Total time was 5 hrs 20 mins. Total number of caches found in each hour were 31, 22, 21, 18, 10 then 8 in the final 20 mins. This included all rest breaks, including a minor unforseen accident. Our postie bikes & scooter managed fairly well considering the road conditions. Wonderful scenery along the way, saw livestock, lizards, campers and met Little Blue Wren along the way from Melbourne too. Total kilometres from Canberra and back was about 310km. My total find for the day was 120 caches. A new record, during my 29 consecutive days of caching. Another record in itself. TFBUH specimenX & RW.
