This cache is quite close to where we are staying, so we thought it was about time we turned it into a smile. After a busy day, we had a cuppa and a rest, then set off for some early evening caching. This was the first find and it was quickly located, though neither of us wanted to grab it from its hidey hole. In the end StreetWalkerNZ used a stick to winkle it out. TFTC.
#24345. Feeling somewhat refreshed, it was time for a spot of evening caching. This one was very close to where we are staying. The hardest part of the find was crossing the road to get to GZ. TFTC.
A fun few days in this beautiful city with friends. Lots of walking in the cool fresh air with little time to spare - fun! Quick find! TFTC Freddo!
A cool and fun day of caching around Adelaide. This cache was a straightforward find in the obvious location. Container and log in good condition. Thanks!
Needed a fair bit of help with this one. GZ was unexpectedly calm and I soon had the cache in hand.Thanks.
Funny story about this one we couldnt see where to park so Shazzar66 jumped out while we were stopped at the lights and we did a loop of the roundabout while she found the cache. Then she jumped back in as we pulled up in the turning lane and off we went!! This was clearly a farm at some point that now has a main road coarsing through it. Interesting location. Signed as the SADDLE club for teams Shazzar66, AtTheLakeHouse, Duppers Delightful Leap Excursion - or something like that!

A late-night decision to take advantage of cheap airfares for dates less than a month after moving to Canberra committed me to a hectic 48 hours of geocaching and the most intensive stats-chasing I must've done to date!Despite having visited South Australia before, I'd never actually ventured into Adelaide and had plenty of fun being guided around it by some great geocaches. After a long day of shenanigans, I took one last solo stroll to pick up a couple of caches that were still of interest to me and in walking distance of my accomodation to maximise this day that comes only once every four years!A few letterboxes had been found today, but it never hurts to add one more to the collection! It was very dark indeed at this hour, but my phone torch guided me through the grove to a likely hiding spot where the logbook could soon be signed. Thanks to Freddo for putting this one here!
Amazed that there's an Olive Grove right in the centre of Adelaide. I was out before dawn as I had a lot to do before flying back to Melbourne at lunchtime. Great to have a letterbox leap day find. Gets a FP for being so close to town in lovely surroundings.
Leap Day caching with Kolour. After some city caching this morning we headed further afield to make sure we collected everything we needed. Cache quickly found, log signed, all replaced as found. TFTC
Im visiting Adelaide for the first time, here for the Mega which is also my first, with Willis007. Needing a letterbox for our leap year day, this one looked interesting and it is certainly has an appropriate name! Loved the location so a fp. Tftc
Over from Perth for a few days to attend the Leap Day Mega. Flew in earlier today, so grabbing a few caches local to my accommodation before taking the hire car over to the Parklands event, then picking up a few extra targets afterwards.Continued my short walk out from the hotel over to the olive grove. Some quality old trees here, and I can only imagine how many caches they have hosted over the years! Cache was a little closer to the road than expected so had to be alert to muggle eyes in waiting cars... but otherwise a nice easy find TFTC
In Adelaide for The Great Leap Forward (Mega-Event)I found your cache, Olive Grove today. This is my 2846 find.Having a girlie trip with Duppers and At The Lake House. Signed as Saddle club to save room in the logbook.Freddo, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
AtTheLakeHouse, Shazzar66 and I have travelled from South East Queensland for the Adelaide Leap Day Mega. We have a specific hit-list of caches: Oldies, good D/Ts, high Favourite Points, Webcamsall the good stuff. This cache was on our list because we needed a Letterbox for an LGA/County Challenge were working on.We had already driven around the block here once, and didnt work out where to park, so Shazzar66 jumped out of the car and went for the find, while ATLH & I drove around the block again. Only once though, because Shazzar66 is (as always) speedy, and so on returning to the drop-off point we picked her up and we were on our way.The cache was signed with our temporary team name: SADLLE ClubThanks for the cache
Date: February 26, 2024 Time: 8:30 AMFind #14450A quick find on the way back to my carMassive thanks go to Zayphrog BB for placing this one. ??
We're currently hanging about Adelaide for "reasons", so there's a bit of time killing going on, this time on North Adelaide. Wandered over the road to this little 'grove', as it were, and managed to snag this find pretty quickly. Thanks for the LB here Zayphrog BB
Walking from Windsor Gardens to the CBD. Trying to find geocaches along the way. This one was an easy find. TFTC.
Bonus parked nearby as I had an appointment in Melbourne Street. Am just getting into the Letterboxes. TFTC
Our last find for the day.
I’ve had a brilliant adventure with Unssy today walking all over the city centre, exploring, discovering, chatting, learning and finding caches. Even though the weather was dark and damp, the company was warm and sunny.
Until next time Unssy, happy caching.

Thanks Zayphrogbb. Nice one to finish our day. We now have a post box for today giving us a total of 8 and Adventure Lab, round the city
Epic! No pens but photoman is here! Plus I left a dollar for the next two find after I saw a parachute man!
My first letterbox cache! I was so excited to find this one. I saw the probable location upon approach and ran to it! Sure enough, the cache was in hand in an instant and I was delighted to find the cutest little bunny trinket inside!
My car was making a funny noise that I've never heard, so I was tossing up between letting the engine sit overnight or taking it for a spin to see what happens.
I decided to take it for a drive because then I can find caches!
This was an easy find. Ending a DNF streak..
Looks like a crime scene inside the container.
Luckily my pen matched!
Cache retrieved and signed.
Thanks Freddo for this cache.

Day five of my trip to Adelaide, with a walking tour around Adelaide ended up doing about 30 km. With off and on rain in the morning then sunny in the afternoon
Saw the likely spot as I approached soon I was caught "red handed" it wasn't a muggle but the ink from the stamp pad must have got wet
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for replacing the cache Zayphrog BB

We are finally able to travel interstate without heaps of loops to jump through. We thought we would take it easy and have a look around South Australia and grab a few more LGA's while we were here.
Out for a morning run while staying at the nearby caravan park. It didn't take long to find but the inkpad has leaked and I was soon red-handed.
This was find number 1 for the day.

Down for the weekend in the city for a work show, picking up some caches while we are here. This cache is one that was found today.
The hardest part about this cache was finding a close by car park. One was found and crossed the road to GZ. A quick find and the log was signed. The red ink pad inside has leaked a bit, we left with red fingers.
Find #3964 on 26 Mar 2022.

Searched for a while, because of so many trees. I don't really understand the difference between letterbox cache and traditional cache..... TFTC.
My first letterbox cache! And I love the stamp I’ll have to get a special notepad to collect them in, this one was put on my trusty geocaching jotter! Made me smile (a lot)! TFTC

Nice easy find, my second time geocaching in Adelaide. It’s a lovely morning for a stroll to find some. Thanks for the cache
Was surprised to find this cache by accident en route to another cache further north! Geo partner’s eyes spotted something amiss and let forth cries of ‘Cache!’ ‘Cache!’ And it were found.
Our first letterbox type to boot.
Thanks!!

Attempting 11 types in a day, #6 is Letterbox. My second attempt at this one, and so much easier second time around, partly because it’s daylight, but mostly because the cache is actually there now. I must getting very close to a pangalacticgargleblaster by now.
Thanks for the letterbox and maintenance Zayphrogg BB.

Hmmm, attempting this in the dark with only a phone torch maybe wasn’t a good idea. I can see some good candidate spots, but no cache was found. Will try again in daylight some time. Thanks for placing.
Out on the geocycle again seeing how many more I can round up before I leave town this afternoon. I have done all the other types of available caches while I have been in town, so I figured I better do a letterbox or two.
No troubles with this one at all thanks.

Today we enjoyed our second dayin Adelaide. Besides museum visits we focused on several lab-cache scenario's. But ofcourse, here and there we also searched for other caches. Like this one.

Was in the neighbourhood after some Used 2Bs and noticed this wasn't far away so wandered ove for a look. Quickly found a container but all it had in it was a little bit of dirt. After contacting the CO put in a notebook page as temp log until CO can do some more extensive maintenance.

Found this good sized cache while undertaking the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster. It was a little challenging finding a park but only had a short walk in the end. Thanks for the cache and the overall experience.
Pan Galactic Daily Find Gargle Blaster. These are becoming gold in an ever increasing yellow haze. A little like visiting 'the stray ball' on a sunny September afternoon. When I finally stepped out of the office tonight it was chilly. A stroll through the olive grove was pleasant. Not too many land octopus out tonight. I did a 3/4 ring of GZ in the dark only to find it staring me in the face. Ha, if only I approached from the right direction it would have been spotted a mile away. Nice Irish cache here, to be sure to be sure, nothing like having a container in a container. Cache in good condition, and put snuggly back away to endure the night air. Thanks Freddo.
Of all the large cities in Australia, Adelaide has perhaps the most diverse range of caches (it's the only city with webcam caches) and as a result of having a few days here, I'm aiming for eight different cache types in one today. A letterbox cache is the only one in which I had to go further afield from the city centre. I found this one straight away and I'm now up to seven different cache types in one day: traditional, multi, mystery, Wherigo, virtual, webcam, and now a letterbox. 14 for 16 on the day now...
After attending the Amazing Announcement event I headed out with earthlight to find a cache or ten. This was one of many found today.
I have driven past here many times before but today was the day to find a place to park. A short stroll to GZ and a super quick find... I had spotted it from the car just before

Next one on the list as Eskies5 and I were now enjoying our last day in SA being chauffered by Aussie Mary from Aussie M&M. We Aussie Mary happily sitting in her air-conditioned car as she had found it on another occasion, Eskies5 and I headed towards this one. It was getting rather warm out there and we were hoping for a straightforward find and we got it. TFTC
Day 5 of a dedicated geotrip from QLD to SA to tick off lots of boxes for Kestal and Mrs Esky...our South Australian adventure is almost over...one last day to pick up the remaining caches around the CBD that are on our list. After exploring the city on foot early to make the most of the cool and relatively muggle free caching we returned our hire car to the airport and jumped into Aussie M & M's car with Aussie Mary at the helm to chauffeur us around to the final few caches before we head home.
Unlike some parks that a blindingly green despite the heat...this interesting little area obviously gets no love...a comment was made that it was like walking on potato chips. TFTC Freddo.

I had already been to this location in the last couple of days while working on another project but didn’t realise this one was here at the time so now I have made a return visit to do what I should have already done, find this cache which I did.
Out and about on a road trip to Adelaide, I was particularly targeting Wherigo and letterbox caches but there are a lot of other interesting caches to be found, this being one of them.
**Thanks to Freddo for placing this cache.**

Our very last day in South Australia. We woke up feeling deflated, we don’t want to go home, cue the tears. As parents of teenagers who hate all things geo-caching, it has been an absolute blast down here trekking through the hills, riding through the wineries, boating the Murray, walking the streets of Adelaide at night and attending events. If we wanted to have takeaway for dinner, or a slap up meal for dinner , or order room service, we could there was no one to compromise with and we could just keep the two of us happy like a couple of newlyweds. But alas we need to go back to reality.
We needed to get the car back early so we grabbed a couple of caches on our way to the airport, there is not a muggle about only drunks still partying from the night before. After dropping off the car we checked in our bags and went for a short walk to make the last finds we could.
Lunch time hit and we went back into the airport to cool down and drink copious amounts of red with our lunch to drown our sorrows that the just the two of us time had come to an end. We wobbled onto the plane back to our bundles of joy.

In town ferrying our son to doctors appointments and while we were waiting, thought we would grab a few caches..We had been past this one several times before, but where unable to stop. this time we were just up the street! TFTC
Mr Emily and son had to head into town tonight so headed in early to get some caching along the way. TFTC
This is one of those caches that you go past a million times before you actually find the time to attempt it Today, we were in the neighbourhood, chasing a couple of other caches, and Olive Grove happened to be within striking distance, so we took the opportunity to have it ticked off our list and earn a smiley. TNLNSL TFTC
I was wandering aimlessly on a Sunday morning and didn't expect to find an olive grove. Found a smilie as well. Now to try that drink! Thanks, all is well here.
Was riding home after some shopping in the north, and looked ahead to see if there was any strategic geocache stops. Argh, this was would be good to keep collecting my pan galactic cocktail!
Rolled towards the waypoint, and was looking dark around these trees. However I found very quickly as the coordinates centered in and had the look of a familiar cache hiding place. Unfortunately no stamp, but as Freddo mentioned, one is in construction to be replaced. Will be back with my stamp book once ready, cheers!

After getting getting the time of an event wrong and not being able to finish a webcam we were determined to get this cache, and alas!, we did. This was part of my 10 geocache types in a day and 6 sizes in a day.TFTC
It has been a big day today. JayG10, fluffymaxi and I set out with plans to do 10 cache types and get all sizes today. We had to adjust plans when we couldn’t get a Large WhereIGo to run properly and instead changed to a Large traditional. Almost didn’t get that as we didn’t realise that the access via Club Rd, is private property, but we got lucky with a club member agreeing to let us in to get the cache and then lock the gate behind us when we left.
After finishing 9/10 with just the evening event to go I have realised that we don’t have an x-small sized cache, so we will have to do an extra one this evening.

As we are not natives, caching at GZs like this always freak us out a bit knowing you have lots of critters that bite etc not to mention I have a huge phobia of spiders. Luckily there was a nice fat ‘pokey stick’ nearby to help us check that all was clear! a TFTC
