WesternSydWanderer beelined straight for this one after a similar looking find yesterday - TFTC
Today I needed to log some caches for a personal challenge and this was one of the ones I found. Thanks for adding to the enjoyment of our game Kittykatch. SL and replaced as found.
Always like these caches, where else could it be?A big day today as we braved the early cold to focus on Ad Labs and then in the afternoon hit the local area on our bikes. We were successful with trads, multis and a few puzzles.Luckily it was a bit warmer this afternoon as the sun came out so the riding was quite OK.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Kittykatch.**SKI Pair****
Very enjoyable! I'm new to geocaching, and this I've opened my eyes about what a cache might look like!
I decided to get another stop on the Geobash North Canberra AL ticked off today which took me to Lyneham!I've bypassed the town on plenty of occasions, although this was my first venture into its heart which revealed a very cute little set of shops.Seeing as though the township itself only really possessed a challenge I didn't qualify for, I made a slight detour to grab this trad as today's streak find (as well as the information for Loci's nearby multi).I half-expected to find a field full of muggles on a sunny school afternoon, although I was met only by a few people out for a walk. That meant I could quickly head over to gz and make the find from some distance away!As others have mentioned, the outer 'container' has split and could do with some TLC, even if it is holding things in place for now. Thanks to Kittykatch for this hide!
Nice little find here todayCache is snapped in half and log is wet but signableTFTC
So cool! What a cache, hidden in plain sight but you can't see it!Thanks KittyKatch
Grabbing a few last minute caches before I leave Canberra this morning. Great weekend had at the Mega. Thanks to all that contributed.
15:54Attending the Mega event from Qld and staying with family while in Canberra, I have joined fellow Qlders for a fun day hitting the many caches on our list. With many eyes, we made short work of finding this cache. Log signed 9 for Qld.Tftc
Geobash Easter Mega - Day #1 (Maundy Thursday 28/3)Day one of my mega trip started with a very early wake up and with a leaving time of 5:22am. This is so I could get to my first of three (pre-registered) tours over the weekend which was at Parliament House (on time). It was a great tour and I learn/saw lots which I hadnt seen before. Of course we also found the caches nearby. Once the tour was over we went our separate ways. For myself, I went to check in at the mega site. Got all my goodies and even bought a Geobash Bucket Hat. Afterwards, I went with a couple of others to find the nearby Letterbox. Afterwards it was time to head to the nearby event (GCAKGK0). It was a great event for everyone to catch up. I ducked off early and found the nearby caches. I then went and got ALs plus saw some suspicious characters getting dinner. They invited me to tonights Mt Stranger tour. So of course I had to go. It was great fun walking around and find the night cache as well as others nearby. TB visit. If the cache wasnt signed as JohnoMawbs, it was signed as JM or as the tour group name. A big thanks to the CO for adding this cache to game for the Geocaching community to enjoy. TFTEs & TFTCs After the nearby event, I headed off to find some nearby caches. This was one of those hides. A nice quick find here and now onto the next one.
During our weeks trip with Bare Foot Guru, Infoferret and Trinity to the Canberra Mega we logged as a combination of "BFG, CF, BIC, BITC" depending on who we were caching with at the time. The trip took us on a flight to Melbourne first, then a drive to Canberra, followed by a drive to Sydney before flying out again. Where possible I will add commentary to each find about the cache. Thanks for all the caches, hides and effort put into hiding and maintaining them.Quick and easy find after studying a map for a while nearby.
Today sees the opening of the long awaited geobash. While it might not be the official opening it was good to get in an early start. I had car park duties first up this morning, it was nice to meet and greet the cachers as they came in. Registration done, bags picked up, car flag, check out the stalls and ok I'm ready for caching. This is just nicely organised and well set up. Pathtags will be tomorrow. I wondered off and did some of the gadget caches before I meet up with my team mates for the day and we worked out what we were doing.ok sorted and we are off, there were multis and challenge caches, a few puzzles and a few targets for the day. It was not going to be a huge day, well it is a late start and there is an afternoon drinks event and then dinner.
Today, the Mega begins. After the "official" stuff and the event, we go geocaching. Log sheets as "9 for QLD" to save space and time.Quick find after completing a nearby challenge.Logs signed and caches replaced as found on 28th March 2024. TFTC, Kittykatch.

Found while on way to Canberra for Mega event. Kittykatch, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area.
Stay at Canberra for Mega and Beautiful places can be found everywhere. As long as I enjoy myself, I don't care what the weather is like. Here's one to find today.Thank you for placing the cache Kittykatch.
I headed out after dark to grab a few geocaches on day 42 of my longest-ever streak! This was a quick and easy find. Thanks, Kittykatch (I'm still grateful to you for challenging me to get a longer streak... )
Very familiar with these types of hides still very much enjoy them.. games of cricket were being played on either side ....
Familiar hide. Quick find as a result. Never been to these ovals before but it was a nice stop off as part of todays run of errands nearby. Not many dog walkers / other walkers etc. around to take advantage of the glorious spring sunshine, so no issues with muggles while finding, signing and replacing. Thanks KittyKatch --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
Good hiding spot I try to move it than after looking it I try again and got it
Unfortunately this one beat me today, it is described as easy but I'm not sure if I was just not looking hard enough or it's not there.
Found this one with the geograndkids. The middle grandchild ran straight up to it and said found it, I couldn’t believe it. A great hide!!
A very creative cache, one of my favourite types. Found with my two aunties ️

I have been to this cache before I started caching on two different occasions. However, no luck finding the cache. It may be missing.
Brilliant!!
Playing in a chess tournament this weekend and had some time between games…went and watched a pal sing some tunes at OCI and thought I’d have a crack at this on the way back to the tournament.
So unique! Not seen one like that before…quick find as it were on a glorious early evening.

Chippymick64 did this one in darkness and me being the smart one refrained from going as I thought it to dangerous at night….turned out I was right and he was lucky to come out unscathed (bloody men)!!
I came out next morning for a very brisk walk and found it easily….. no nuts and bolts required!!

This was my 1st night cache, I was staying in the nearby country club and decided to try this one in the dark. Roxygirl was worried about my safety and didn’t want me to go, I assured her that I’ll be right and set off. Well I didn’t get far before I came across an undesirable that came to a skidding halt on his bike right in front of me then started ranting and raving. I suggested that he keeps riding before continuing my quest for the cache. Although I was now being a little more cautious about crossing the fields in the dark leaving myself exposed, eventually I worked my way around, located the cache easily, but realised that I had no pen, so a picture is my proof. Long story short, I’m OK
Staying nearby and decided to look for a cache this morning. A clever hide and with no games being played on the nearest fields was able to find and log with anyone spotting me. Thanks for the cache.
Not sure if this is the intended location. This didn't have a tott attribute but needed one. I left the natural tool nearby. TftC.
