Today I joined forces with chamad and geopup to collect some caches in 2 LGAs for a couple of challenges and to enjoy this beautiful part of our country. The rain was coming in, the wind had picked up, I loved it! chamad on the other hand didn't enjoy the cold so much. We took some time searching the area and couldn't find the cache. We left a replacement bison in a logical place. Thanks Swellerfungus for the cache.
Today was a fun caching day with Willis007 and geodog bella. The plan was to grab a few target caches around the scenic rim area and then continue to head off to the northern rivers area and grab a few numbers. With just a few on the list, it was easy to fill the day in further with a few extra caches as we passed by. The run for the target caches were for challenge caches in Brisbane that willis007 was working on. For me it was a nice day for a drive and a couple of interesting caches to collect along the way. While there was no pressure for the day's outing, we still managed to grab a few interesting caches and a nice tally for the day. We signed all logs and returned caches as we found them.It is a very interesting area around here and I enjoy just driving around and the views, awesome.Thank you for placing the cache here and bringing me to this area.the rain and the wind had kicked in here and it was absolutely biting cold, will remember this one for a while. lol.
Too wet for riding, so time for another tour in the geomobile. Had to retreat to the geomobile for an extraction tool - a very tedious and strenuous walk of 24m.

We decided on an AL guided trip this afternoon, chasing town halls through the Tweed, in an area we had never explored. The road closure between Tyalgum and Uki stopped us and we had to backtrack, but had a good time, 3 ALs and 10 other finds.
We were getting low on time by now, and it seemed like adverse weather was closing in, so debated whether to head up this road, but seeing it was sealed took a chance. We struggled. We crisscrossed the road, noted the owners OM log recently, found the deceased post and focused on the one downhill. I'm not sure if 'pantomime' (I could bore you with my dislike of cryptic hints) means 'lying in grass', but that is where we eventually found the cache (seconds before calling a DNF). We rehid it in the only way we know how for a fence post....

Found today while doing the AL around this area, found about 10 caches on our trip and also 3 adventure lab points, we will be back soon to complete the AL as we didn't have time today! Really nice area, from low-lying creeks to 1000+ metre mountains!

It’s a strange day today… we dropped our dog at the Ekka this morning at 6:30… we can’t even watch… so to take our mind off the drama of the Ekka Dog Show, Blkthunder and I are caching through the Tweed Valley…
The vague plan was to work our way from Murwillumbah to Tyalgum along Tyalgum Road… that fell apart when I came across a road closed…
It’s hard to avoid Mt Warning around here… and this spot shows it off in all its glory… a perfect spot for a cache…

Murwillumbah Day 2
Our caching companions today were the Snakepitters, We planned a circular route that took us out along farming country side, with amazing mountain views, & flowing creek beds.
It was a good day out with some great cache hides in some wonderful locations
Took a while before the cache was located, no views of the nountains today.
We did disturb a herd of cattle which did not wan't to pass the carr while we there, it was a bit of a stand off.
Thankyou Swellerfungus for placing this cache.

The fence is extremely overgrown. After reading logs started searching at the pole. Figured it would likely be at a post and soon had cache in hand. Tftc
After spending the day with the cousin in Tyalgum, I felt like I needed to get at least some caching in while in the area and went for an hour long caching mission to find 12 caches and see more of the pretty area and sunset views.
A difficult find. Had given up. Red some logs and gave it a last try. You need to fence but near the pole.
Thank you Swellerfungus for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Found at 1:39 PM GAFF3 - although we didn't get it and it didn't help in the search .
What a magnificent location and wonderful view of that blasted mountain that p-pprass a few years ago struggled to get up there and back. Never again - but it looks majestic
Thanks Swellerfungus.

Tricky and very over grown but found it eventually. Really do not get the clue. Although cool hide. TFTC
The dreary day had left lots of low clouds today so there wasn't sight of the Warning Peak, We found the cache, replaced the O-ring and popped in a new log sheet as the last one was saturated. We will come back and try for the view again when we do the lolly loop. The cache was found during our Leap Day 2020 road trip, a day which saw us attend an event in the morning, find a stack of caches, do a fair chunk of maintenance due to recent torrential rains and another event for dinner! We also managed to complete 24 geocaches in 24 hours so I can now go and buy a new geocoin! This is now also a new record for us, beating our 2012 record of 22 finds. All is good with this geocache.
A Bromance raiding party comprising CrookedPete, LadySim, SwellerFungus and DezNJez was assembled for a swim at MattyRX's Cock and Falls cache, before a leisurely drive around the northern rivers collecting the odd cache with a pub lunch along the way
Our drive took us through some magnificent country, being blessed today by some very heavy rains at time. Lunchtime found us in the village of Nimbin, where we stopped in at the bowls club for a good feed. Fed and watered, we started meandering home through Uki and then the Numinbah Valley for a bit of cache maintenance.
The CO insisted we stop here for a maintenance visit. Begrudgingly, we all agreed. The container was found quickly enough - with no thanks to the obscure hint. Then I was forced to do the CO's maintenance for him, removing the nasty biting ants from the location.
Due to the weather, there was no view to be had here today - we are not sad about that as the country needs the rain. So the CO obliged by pulling out some photos to show what it should look like. Spectacular!
Many thanks Swellerfungus. Caching is 95% about location and this spot is deserving of a cache.

A day out to Chillingham markets and some caching with Bebbles61 & NikkiRB nice hide TFTC
Was in the area today and wanted to grab all the caches I had yet to find. This one was on the list. I hadn't been up this road before - such good views, no matter which way you look.
Found the cache pretty quickly, I could see it as I approached it. Everything is in good condition. Took a pic or two of Mt Warning. Never get sick of looking at the mountains out here. Great cache in a great area - thanks Swellerfungus!

The CO helpfully made up for my pantomime-free childhood. Loved the name and view. FP. Tftc.
Found on my way down the east coast, to day from gold cost to Coffs harbour, Via Natural bridbe and past Mt Warning, it was closed because of the cyclone thread.....
Having set up camp at the Murwillumbah showgrounds we were off and running to explore as much of this beautiful area as possible. We were not disappointed gorgeous scenery at every turn and a great variety of hides and containers. And as well as all that we saw Black Cockatoos and discovered how good frozen chocolate covered bananas were, how lucky are we. Thankyou Swellerfungus for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area
Been leaving a few off the road nearby to home when I feel like caching but not going too far. Day 15! Tftc
What a great view. Cache found fairly easily although the farmers friends will take a little longer.
All is good with the cache
Thanks

Had a spare couple of hours and so thought I would try and find a few of the caches around Tyalgum - the lolly bag seems to not be regularly maintained so they may not be available next time I am up this way so I thought I would get a few today. Only tried for the ones that didn’t have recent DNFs so it was a pretty successful day.
Great view at this location (interesting there is an official lookout a bit lower down the hill). Took a little finding because I was looking something bigger but once I checked the size it was a quick find - TFTC

What a view of the valley today with the sun shining and the mountain of course found the cache.TFTC
So glad this cache brought me up here. Such great views from here in nearly every direction. Really appreciated the drive. Thanks Swellerfungus! Cache was found and log signed. Cheers and Happy New Year!!
Found it!
By no means easy anymore with vegetation growth but well worth effort & view.
Pantomime/what.a.vine
Had a fun time

This cache was hidden by lots of plant matter so it took a little time to locate. The logsheet was soaked so I dried it out on my hot car bonnet in the sun while I took some photos. I saw a big bird of prey overhead here but it proved to be a little elusive to photograph. The logsheet was soon dry and I replaced it in its hiding spot.
TFTC, fave point for bringing me here.

Thanks for taking us up here. We really enjoyed the location and the views. Took heaps of photos
Don't have a clue what the hint is supposed to mean...
Take the time to look over at the house which seems to have been abandoned during build / renovation. Check out the doll family hanging from the wall.... Creepy.

What a great spot. And so quiet with the best views! Still not sure what the hint means being to a pantomime recently so just focused on the compass and there it was. TFTC SL
Out with geomum, Mr and Mrs RoddyC and Team Benders. I spent time looking at the great views of Mt Warning (Which I am determined to climb, one day!) and of The Pinnacle (not sure if too many people know where I am taking about here). I am used to seeing these views from another angle and another altitude [:p] By the time I had finished admiring the views, my caching buddies had found the cache! [:o] We couldnt find the signature of the previous finder anywhere [It wouldn't be hard to find it on this log. It is also odd that they havent logged on since 2015, yet are claiming a find in 2016. almost 18months after their last log in!). We added our names under that of etmorechikin. The cache was then rehidden and we were on our way again. TFTC
Today we decided to tackle some caches we had heard about around Murwillumbah area, so I selected caches along The Lolly Bag Loop and suggested to Selva Girls (and her GeoMum) and Team Benders that we join forces for the day and escape the city and head for the country. We had a great time and collected 27 Smileys.
Wow! What views! Couldn't stop the camera lens. Everything grows quickly here - took a while to 'uncover' the cache hide.
We could not find a log entry for the previous finder, so signed under eatmorechikin. - see photo
Log signed & replaced again. Found at 1.50pm on 7th March 2017. TFTC, Swellerfungus.

Great view of Mt Warning.
Parked nearby and wandered over.
Mrs RoddyC made the find.
Signed the log under eatmorechikin making it an unloved for us.
Photo of log to come.

First caching find on our Mt Warning weekend away. Great place to stop and see the mountain that we are going to be climbing tomorrow. Mrs EMC walked straight up to the cache. All these back road country caches seem to be these sort LOL. Thanks for placing this cache Mr Fungus! Photo of the kids loaded.
Found by Jennymarj who did the required gymnastics on a recent trip around the Lolly Bag Loop. Great view of our wonderful mountain. TFTC
What an amazing view. Thanks for bringing us here. Reaching the cache required a bit of team work. Luckily we were with the Boofheads. TFTC. STUNNING!!!
Out and about with DanteMc today for a little caching.
I was involved a little when this one was placed.
So today I brought a friend but we could not find the thing.
I contacted the CO to confirm the exact placement and it seems to have gone.
So, with permission, we replaced the container here.
Awesome views on a clear day of Mt Warning. [^]

I thought I was going to have to Flinstone it up this hill. My poor little Corolla was struggling but it made it. Wow! What a view. I have to say I struggled a little on this one which turned out to be a very easy find. Think pantomime? I still don't understand.
Mt Warning, where is Mt Warning????? Well as a local I know that is a regular occurrence lol. Had me thinking for a moment then I thought of hider and went yep, easy after that. TFTC
Quick and easy very pretty area down here found with Diamonjs. Couldn't see mt

Took me a little while but not too long. Fabulous view, great spot for a cache sweller fungus. Mt warning is clear today but I like the view of the border ranges better.
After a fun day out going fishing and some more lollies we ascended to take our warning shot. Took us longer than it should have but finally heard GeoHubby say Found It!!! I took the pic!
A wonderful setting for a hide. The view was fantastic today. TFTC Swellerfungus.
When IolantheK suggested that we head off for a weekend to do an assault on Mt Warning for her 4000 th find I recall my response was in the affirmative almost immediately. So IolantheK, T-Tech, Brother Colin, LadySim and myself set off on this early morning adventure, teamdfl joined us at the base of the mountain.
The remainder of the day was spent geocaching around the area with the mountain the centre of attention throughout. Swellerfungus and T-Teck joined me to travel the sights of the lolly bag loop and other caches along the way.
It was while we did the loop we found this great location and decided it was a must for a cache.

"FTF" at 14:10. I was at home shredding old accounts. I love it when it is time to shred tax records from times past. The shredder was overheating and not happy. Pulling half shredded bits of paper out of a blocked shredder is time consuming and frustrating.
That familiar sound emanated from the desk top.
A new cache, and its south where nobody lives except the lolly series CO!!
A country drive through the Numinbah Valley or continue fighting the shredder? I paid some bills had lunch and then bundled Mika the dog into the car and off we went.
I was already aware of the adventures of the Mt Warning attack on Saturday as Swellerfungus had to satisfy himself with my caches along the beach and mentioned being left alone to amuse himself while they all climbed.
Swellerfungus, I have no idea what your hint refers to. I pondered on this for a while and then decided to just find it. I then took my Warning Shot plus fluffy white dog in foreground. She had found some exciting smelly thing.
Thanks Swellerfungus for saving my day. A favourite from me.

Out for an afternoon with Swellafungus & ruzzelz round the lollie bag loop [^]
Swellafungus & ruzzels loved the view from this spot and Swellafungus decided that a cache was needed here to let others enjoy this view as well.
I'd recommend this spot as a must see in the area a favorite point from me [^]
We got a chance to sign the log prior to placement (not claiming the FTF)

T-Tech and I spent last weekend in this area with Brother Colin, teamdfl, LadySim, Swellerfungus and ruzzelz so that we could take a very early morning walk up Mount Warning on Saturday to see the sun rise I’m pleased to say it was my 4000th find, and a grand adventure [^]
On Saturday afternoon T-Tech, SwellerFungus and ruzzelz were doing the caches on the Lolly Bag Loop, and discovered this great view of the mountain. Swellerfungus decided he would put a cache out here to bring people to see it. The container and contents were pulled together on Sunday morning, and before the cache was taken out to GZ, he allowed us all to sign the logbook After breakfast T-Tech and I took the drive out here so I too could see the view. Photo is attached.
This morning I was pleased to see the cache had been published [^] and now that the FTF is gone (congratulations go to Perusal for the FTF ) I’m happy to log the find. TFTC, Swellerfungus.
