Given there is a new fence - and I no longer live in the area it is a good time to archive this one!

Out and about in the area today finding a few new caches that have appeared since I was last here or caches that I have missed on previous visits. Big Grin
Unfortunately I could not find this one. Twisted

17-Oct-16
Awesome tricky TFTC

12-Oct-16
I parked the car to the edge of the road and made my way to the GZ. There was some work going on over the fence but the cache was easily found. Thankfully there was plenty of tree cover between the fence to not be muggled out! TFTC Hot Wheels Duo

14-Sep-16
No I haven't read the blurb. All I have are co-ordinates and a clue. I park. I guesstimate the distance and think I don't need the GPS-r. There aren't a whole lot of places it can be. Here I am standing in the middle of a roundabout checking every inch of this tree. I look ridiculous. A pamphlet deliverer has now passed me, a grown adult, standing in a round-a-bout four times. Now this tree happens to be home to some very over anxious magpies which are pecking at my head continuously. LOL. I am defeated. I go back to the car. I decide to give it one more go this time with the GPS-r. Bahaha. Here it is.

28-Aug-16

15-Mar-16
Had a look but no luck. This was my first try at a cache. I'm sure it will get easier.

09-Mar-16
I was determined to find this one and I did!! Going in more daylight definitely helped - Forgot my pen though :/

07-Mar-16
Sadly DNF but that could be purely because this was my first one to try and find and it was getting dark. Will definitely be back earlier in the day. Fingers crossed for success!!

22-Sep-15
I was on my way from the city towards Sunnybank and decided to grab a few smilies along the way.
If there's one thing I excel in caching, it's DNF'ing D1 caches - it seems to be my signature mark. Razz
The same happened here, too. The area was quiet enough for a search but nothing caught my attention as being out of the norm, even a tiny bit. Cache blindness in full swing. Big Grin

Well, having a green blob on the caching map will serve as an invite to return on another day...
Until then, TFTH Hot Wheels Duo!

08-Sep-15
Thank you. I collected this one without reading blog, and I was wandering whole way back - Why such name? Luckily, I was admiring the tree even without noticing, I should pay attention to it.

17-Aug-15
I first identified the tree in question and gave it a close examination with no luck but then remembered I had just read that the cache had been moved at some point so I checked the map and sure enough, this was not quite GZ.
I got closer to GZ and still could not find what I wanted where I was looking, although there didn't seem to be many places to hide a cache so I figured it must be easy enough to spot.
Using my GPS, I stood exactly where the cache should be and I was in the middle of a footpath with absolutely no hiding spot.
Confused, I turned around while standing in that spot and - aha! There it is!
TFTC Nice tree and a quiet street.

03-Aug-15
My 1st time. I couldn't find it. It was night time but I felt like I was searching with my torch in the right place. I might try come back when it's light.

Just had to wait out a muggle still going on from last by the looks! Big Grin

Joined up with Gunnie69 to go for a wander around Runcorn, Sunnybank Hills and through to my holding stomping ground of Algester. Big Grin

Thanks Hot Wheels Duo for the efforts of putting out the cache and making it an enjoyable day! Big Grin

12-Jul-15
A nice quick find for Ghostgums and I as we worked our way through the area this morning. On arrival we had one muggle pass by, carrying a bottle of "something" he had left over form last night, but once clear, we moved in and GG retrieved the cache and extracted the log... [^]

Business done and everything tucked back, we shuffled back to the car and moved on.

Cheers Hot Wheels Duo.

My first Geocache experience! Local to home and brought my two little ones for the adventure! Gorgeous tree, thank you for drawing it to our attention!

07-Jun-15
This was our very first search so we really weren't sure how hard it would be to find. There was a muggle washing his car so it was hard to look too hard but didn't manage to find anything.

Out and about in the area on the geocycle today. Winding my way along bike paths, footpaths and back streets to a few caches.

I was having a good day so far. All quiet at the GZs and nice quick finds. I arrived at this one and immediately spotted what I needed. I did not see any signs of life the whole time I was there. Big Grin

My find was not quite as elaborate as Money Makers unfortunately.

Meeting at Hot Wheels Duo's house, accompanied by K8'n'nCo, HWD herself and awaiting the arrival of Monkey Maker. We were going for a group attack on M.C.B.C today.

I got to meet the famous Fluffy.

Thanks for the hide Hot Wheels Duo.

Half past two this morning I woke up and felt like popcorn, so without a second to spare I jumped out of my tent, got undressed and hit the highway west from Rockhampton. As I paddled down the motorway I couldn't help but notice the amount of penguins and polar bears kicking around at this hour. 5:15pm is pretty close to bed time for these little critters so I have no idea why they're out so early mowing lawns and spraying weeds. I waved to a yetti chewing on some frozen reeds as I hit mach1 just past Darwin but I don't think he saw me, probably to busy refueling his jet powered double decker articulated bus I think.
Anyway I reached Tamworth at about lunch time which was lucky as the local vendor that sells potato and fish pies from his light house was about to shut up shop for the night. I managed to grab hold of the draw bridge before it reached the top and slid down and rang the bell. The butchers wife came to the drive thru window to take my order in her wet suit. Ummm, I'll just take one of those peatmoss and super dry puddings thanx. I said to her sorry but I have to ask, Whats with the wet suit? She said someone has lost a mud flap in the prawn farm reservoir out the back and so I need to climb that palm over there to get it back for them. Otherwise their microwave won't work anymore and their cat will go hungry. Oh ok, do you need anymore fly screen to help with recovery as I have a whole trailer full on the back of my trike outside. I'm just on my way to the dump so you can have it all if you like. She said no as the landlord had just bought extra fluorescent windmill blades to help out. I didn't want to hold her up any longer so I handed over 10 pounds 5 for the cute little mouse and cartwheeled out of there.
I jumped back on my bike and within a few minutes I was crossed up around the corner into Hillview St. I ripped a wheelie straight through the roundabout over the bee hives then crashed straight into the neighbours pool.
I threw my paddle on the sand and climbed up the satellite dish and grabbed the cache. I stamped the log book then threw the cache on the roof of the highrise next door for the next cacher.
Thanx for the fun HWD.

Easy find after I looked again at something I had previously thought was something different.

Thanks, Tigey.

IolantheK and I jointed up with a group to do "It's in the last place you look" when it was mentioned on FB that that Hot Wheels Duo was doing it today.
After finishing up with the group we wander over to look at her pool Razz

T-Tech and I joined this CO on her outing to get a nearby multi-cache done, and afterwards we all went to Maccas for refreshments. While there she just happened to mention this one of her caches Razz and so T-Tech and I decided we'd grab it on our way home Wink And as she predicted, it was a pretty quick find [^] I made sure to have a look at the tree in the roundabout too Big Grin TFTC, Hot Wheels Duo, and for motivating us all to get out and about this afternoon.

A nice view of the pool on a hot day, bit of a tease when you don't have your swimmers with you. Thank you Hot Wheels Duo for bringing me here. Thanks for the heads up about a cache here also. Tftcsl

I have climbed many trees and this one has probably been the most fun. It was begging me to climb it.

40 minutes had passed before I came across the cache. The first attempt to locate the cache the GPS was off by a few meters, but that's okay, that means more time spent climbing. Plus, the searching led me to a bird nest (yay another photo!).

I was seriously considering this little nest was actually a ninja capsule for a moment, until I saw a protruding bug. It was the only thing I found "hanging around" during the 40 minutes of hunting.
Oh, and there were 3 screws in a high branch which led me to believe the cache used to hang on them, but don't worry, new hunters, you can still find it Wink

10-Aug-14
Found it! Very nice neighbourhood

10-Aug-14
First find, and the experience is awesome!!

04-Aug-14
Hope the tree stays around for a long time yet.
Thanks.

This one took a bit longer then I thought because I was expecting a certain type of hide, and found one an indicated 13m.

I decided my GPS must be out and this Had to be right.

After coming up empty handed I decided to look at the area indicated, nothing here it wouldn't be. ... oh yes, it is, GPS 1, cacher brain 0.

TFTC all in good order. Luckily my memory of living here 12 years ago meant the nice shortcut back to the bus stop was just where I thought it was!

23-Jul-14
Hot on the heels of Los Rowlos this morning! Sometimes 6 pairs of eyes are so much worse than just one Very Happy I wasn't sure about this one because of the whole proximity to private property thing and gee, for a little place off the main road it doesn't half get busy sometimes! Fortunately Mrs Rowlos has her caching eyes well and truly on, even though this was her FIRST FIND! Not big enough to drop off our visitor so SLTN left something and left it hanging around again, all good here. TFTC Hot Wheels Duo!

15-Jul-14
TFTC I could see it when circling the roundabout. Made sure I put it around the back again.

12-Jul-14
This was not to hard, it is literally just hanging there. Wink

08-Jul-14
Found on a somewhat chilly morning. Stayed to listen to a cute baby butcher bird do his vocal exercises in the magnificent tree. Nearby muggle working under his car. He thought I was interested in the birds.

cache find # 1570. We needed to find a cache for today for our personal geogrid. This one was the closest to home, so we headed for this one. Made the find quickly and was off on our way again to a nearby parkland with some new caches in it. TFTC.

dark and stormy but spottwed the cache ok

thought was roundabout on tree but not .. TFTC Smile

14-Jun-14
After conquering a puzzle on this drizzly afternoon, I needed a traditional to do. GZ seemed to be in the middle of the road, so I headed to the lovely tree. It is a magnificent specimen. Then remembered it couldn't possibly be there.

Wandered over the road and spotted something that was tethered to the cache Smile An easy one which is just what I needed.

Cache appears to be on private property and should have an attribute to that effect.

On we rolled, more to do and it will be dark soon...

TFTC HWD!

10-Jun-14
Needed the hint when I found myself standing here. A quick find between doing a few arrays. Tftc.

05-Jun-14
Under cover of darkness, I crept up and hung around in the right spot until I saw a telltale sign. Thanks to good coordinates, I was in and out in a flash, only sorry not to have more time for some tree-climbing. TFTC where all is fine.

01-Jun-14
Love the tree. Son couldn't help himself and had to climb it while I went off to find the cache which was an easy find. Seems like this one has been popular in the last couple of days.

31-May-14
Cool tree. Found the container without any issues. TFTC

I saw the new listing while I was at work and decided to find it on the way home.

I zigged and zagged through the streets and finally arrived to check out THE Tree. I drove around it and found a park and walked back to where the GPS was pointing. I looked around and there wasn't many places to hide a cache so it was easy to locate as the coordinates were spot on.

I took the path tag but hope to get another one after I have climbed to the Stinson.

Thanks Hot Wheels Duo. Definitely no problems with the location now. Good to get a FTF even if it was for the second time around.

19-May-14
Listing retracted.

19-May-14
Notification came through and found the email about 15 minutes later. Were pretty sure that we wouldn't get the FTF but hurried geo-hubby out the door along with geodog.

We didn't break any rules making it to the area but we did get there as quickly as we could. As we pulled up we could see and hear some people in the nearby carpark and we hovered waiting for them to move, little knowing that they were there for a reason.

Before we had started to search Hunting Rabbits had arrived and joined us, it was at this stage we realised it was okay to start searching.

Congratulations to Gail for her FTF, and thanks to those who left the pathtag that we had specifically come out to grab.

**FTF** it feels so good to write that! a big thank you to THR for giving me a heads up that this one so close to home was up for grabs. Rusty was in bed, lucky the phone woke her so it was, get out we are off, poor girl don't think she fully knew where she was till we got halfway there. Seeing the cache description we knew where it would be, We love that big old tree. We arrive and there are people walking up the middle of the road, oh no we are to late, no wait, it is the locals out for a night stroll. So wait for muggles to continue on down the road and we are on to it, not long and Rusty comes up with the goods, sign log and CO comes out for a chat. We then enjoy watching Jimmyproject and The Hunting Rabbits arrive to search, funny when they realise it was us lurking in the shadows not some muggles there to disturb them. Happy to leave pathtag for Jimmyproject they are a special tag to own.. TFTC Hot Wheels Duo and welcome to being a cache owner.
