The "New England Velodrome" features regular bicycle races during the summer at Londonderry Raceway. This summer, the [url=http://www.leadcycling.com/photoGallery.htm]2005 Inaugural New Hampshire Amateur State Games[/url] were held at this paved track.

We had planned to visit the velodrome while it was still light, but due to a long day of locationless caching, it was dark by the time we arrived at the track to take photos. We have done our best to lighten the photos to be recognizable, but they still aren't as good as daytime photos.

We hadn't realized that there were velodrome races so close to our home -- maybe we'll try to go and watch a race this summer to appreciate the action up close!

This is the only bicycle track racing (indoors) in Austria. It is located in the Prater, Vienna. I myself used to do a few races there and my father did a lot of racing, including a dangerous accident where he broke some of his ribs. The times where there are no racings going on, the building can be used for other sportive activities, sometimes even for concerts.

This is an outdoor velodorme in Victoriaville, Quebec, Canada. It is located just off Avenue Industrielle West. The photos show the asphalt track, and give proof that people in Quebec ride here even in the snow.

This is the Bellville Velodrome, located some 25 kilometers from Cape Town, South Africa. This velodrome was built quite recently, and hosted an international cycling event some years ago. More info available at here http://www.mlh.co.za/velodrome.htm
We could not locate a signage board, and unfortunately the facility was still locked when we took the picture early on a Sunday morning.

I found this little Velodrome (it`s a Bicycle Training Track)in Dinslaken/Germany. It`s a very small club with just 16 Members and in the normal time it`S in use as a Parking Groung!

This is Tallinn's old velodrome, it is in Pirita distict. Now there is a football stadium inside the velodrome.

Velodrome at the Trade Fairs area in Brno, Czech republic. During the fairs, the velodrome serves as a parking lot. Visited the Engineering Fair today.

This cycle track is at Aldersley Leisure Village in Wolverhampton West Midlands UK, It is the home to Wolverhampton Wheelers cycle club founded in 1881 and is an outdoor track which skirts the perrimeter of the running track.

This is the Velodrom of Vienna (Austria). It´s called "Ferry Dusika Radstadion" and was opened in 1977. Yesterday at this location there was hold the Junior World Championship and so we took the opportunity to take some fotos for this log.

The Vodafone Arena in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia has a custom built 250m Velodrome circuit constructed into the stadium. The above link describes more about the Velodrome.

Unfortunately, the stadium is closed except for functions or a paid tour, so I'll make sure to get a photo of the track either under the seating or in action when I go there next.

The velodrome at West Gosford, NSW, Australia. It is a bitumen track open to the public. It doesn't have a sign but the pictures are of the track. If you look carefully you may see a rider in the distance.

This velodrome is the cycling track that belongs to the Blackburn Cycling Club in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

This is Packer Park Velodrome located in Carnegie, one of the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. I came across it researching for a new cache, following the path of an old railway line that was near here until approx. 100 years ago.

The velodrome was built in 1952 and was used for training purposes during the 1956 Melbourne Olympics, and also for Australian 1960 and 1964 training squads.

The Edwardsown Velodrome, now nearly 50 years old, was a track I rode on as a kid, and now is looking possibly better than ever. I went there today, thanx to this cache site, and checked it out. The track is quite good, much better than it was 30 years ago when I used to ride my 10 speed Malvern Star racer there.. It is open to the public most of the time, except when races are scheduled.

This is a Velodrome in the town of Tamworth in Country New South Wales Australia. Tamworth is well know for its country music festival held each year (in January I think)

I must be blind, as I couldn't find a sign on the fence, but it certainly is a velodrome.

Velodrome, velodrome, we don't have a velodrome. We have a Super-drome. The facility was built for the AIS here in Adelaide. Supposed to be a state of the art, smooth as silk.
