On our vacation this year, we did a great trip as GER-17 to Australia.
GER-17 are DieFraudiemitmuss, Lundi263, de Eifelaner and murri24.
We started the tour in Melbourne where we spend a few days sightseeing and caching, including some trips out of the City to the Grampians an to the Great Ocean Road.
Nice place to be and to see.
From Melbourne we went to Alice Springs including Ayrs Rock, where we saw some nice sunsets and other great stone formations and spots.
Back in Melbourne we started by car to go to Sydney along the coast with zig zags into the blue mountains and Canberra.
Finally we arrived in Sydney and spend here the last day of our holidays with caching and sightseeing.
During this trip we found this box.

DieFraudiemitmuss, Lundi263, Murri24 and I made this year a very great tour together. Our first target is Melbourne. So we started early in the morning to visit the city and to make a few geocaches. We found very nice locations and interesting spots. One day we rent a car. Very early in the morning we drive from Melbourne City over Geelong to the Great Ocean Road. Along this road we found so much interesting spots, we see a great landscape, and had have not enough time for sightseeing. The weather was fine but a little bit windy. This day was very long and hard, but wonderful.
After that we visit the Grampians. A little bit rain, a little bit windy and a little bit sunny day, we had fasten all weathers. We visit waterfalls, canyons, sandstone fomations and any Look Outs. Puhhh, what a great landscape.
The next part of our journey is to explore the Outback. From Ayers Rock we take a car and drive over Kings Canyon and many other Look Outs to Alice Springs. We visit any very interesting Caches and had a great time by comfortable temperature.
This traditional Cache we hav also found. We log it as "GER-17". Thank you for this Cache.
This Cache we have in the Pocket Queri, and don't know, that it is archieved.
But, we have found the container.!!!

Together with Team "GER-17" (consisting of murri24, der Eifelaner & dieFraudiemitmuss and me) I was able to find this Cache.
Although the Cache had been archived the others had it on their GPS devices as we left home before the 18th and couldn't update any PQs on those.
After some search we were able to locate the Cache and sign the logbook. It was a bit tricky to spot the container maybe that's why it had so many dnfs.
Thanks a lot for hiding it!

Looked hard but could not find this, I know where I think it should be, so maybe it has been muggled
. Gps sending me back and forth for sometime and I figured looking for an XS container while it's sending me 10m either way wasn't an option unfortunately. TFTH though.
Spent way too much time here trying to find this elusive cache. According to pprass, "this cache was in a nice logical spot with good co-ords". David's coordinates were consistent, but no joy despite widening the search and going over the same ground several times. Under, over up and down back and forth, but all to no avail. Our thanks anyway to Alicecaching.
Found at 9:08 AM GAFF1 in the company of Liz and Bruce.
Back in Alice Springs for a day or so after being in Yulara for 4 days and we met up with Liz & Bruce and Grub Fred where we arranged to do this series early in the morning before it became too hot.
We had a lovely time that didn't feel as though we had walked 3.6 kms as we were constantly chatting about all sorts of things.
This cache was in a nice logical spot with good co-ords.
Thanks Alicecaching.

Mrs Bradshaw's Constitutional, the perfect way to begin our last full day in Alice. We really enjoyed this delightful little walk, in the early morning light. There was a lizard or two, a couple of interesting spiders and beetles and of course dozens of those "28" parrots.
Thanks Alicecaching for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

###Trip to the *Red Centre Experience* 2017###
Unfortunately, half of our team is home-based due to work commitment, the other half is lucky enough to be Alice Springs bound, in the company of Team Indiana08. Therefore, for a couple of weeks, our team will be attending some events and possibly finding the odd cache in different states.
---
After a few hundred meters walking on the nice track, the legs already feel a lot better. This cache took us a bit longer to find, but in the end it was spotted.
Thanks for bringing us here!

Hevic and I teamed up with yorkshirekiwi83 and zuse7 today to tackle the Telegraph Station caches. zuse7 had already found a handful of these the day before, but she opted to come along and help out. Along the trail the finds were relatively straightforward, but the scenery was absolutely stunning to an Aucklander, a Swiss, and a pair of Dunedinites. Thanks so much for this nifty little trail. Cheers!
Greatings from New Zealand, in Alice attending the rather large event and teamed up with CJ-Curry, Hevic and a rather famous Swiss by the end of the event zuse7.
Lovely walk through the area and met other cachers along the way, saw a few kangaroos, a few large (for me) spiders, as well as some very nicely placed caches. TFTC

I flew into Alice Springs to meet up with my caching mates Sol de Lune, Albida33 and LuckyL10n (signing mostly as ALFS) to attend the Red Centre Experience and then venture up north to Darwin and then east into Qld before heading south for home - a three week caching trek.
Next stop for the day. A quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, and it was off to the next cache.

Alice trip 2017. Day 11. Today was the second day of the Alice Springs Red Center event. Sol de Lune, Luckyl10n, Fitzy_1965 and I had hotcross bus with smitten Granny, then headed out for caching in the CBD and suburbs. Things were made easier on a quiet day. This walk was a target for today and we had an enjoyable loop in the bush. Only one was difficult.
Thanks.

We spent the next 5 days caching around the region enjoying the area and finding a lot of the local caches. A great spot to visit and well worth the effort to get here.

Found while in alice for the red centre event in alice springs, thanks for the cache and the adventure.
After an early event there was still a lot of time to spend geocaching. Just a Trifle and me tackled the beautiful walk and had a lot of fun. Some caches we had to search for a while, sometimes our devices sent us in the wrong direction, sometimes our caching senses seemed to be asleep. But most containers were found quickly and while chatting along, the circuit was soon finished.
Thanks a lot Alicecaching for the hide and the maintenance of the caches in this great area!

Another day of caching in Alice Springs, starting off with the Donerstag Event. We had a varied day caching with powellbruce, McLookers, bella at waggy and Zuse07 at various times during the day
Most of the caches were relatively easy to find and with our names added to the log book, we continued on our way.
Thank you Alicecaching for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

This was one of the first trails we did in Alice Springs as we arrived a few days early before the red centre experience event started to try and get in before the masses came. Little did we realise everyone else had the same idea. All day we had geocachers in front of us and hot on our heel.
Thanks Alicecaching for the placement of all your caches in Alice Springs.

We remember this cache well. We looked all around before reading previous logs to get a good hint. With a definite idea of how it was hidden we eventually spotted it, then we wondered how we missed finding it for so long. TFTC Alicecaching.
Capital Cachers (a group of Canberra cachers) took a long time to find this one. I perservered at GZ and was rewarded with the Find. Many thanks for the cache

Headed along the walk this afternoon with a cool breezing blowing. Found with nibletricecakes, calypso62 and geotooter
After all of us having a thorough look through all of the rocks at this location, one of us read the cache page and saw the type of hide. We had a look around and figured what we had been looking for was probably not correct and sure enough, it wasn't. Eventually we all found it, staring us down!

This morning we headed north with Geono to walk Mrs. Bradshawa Constituition & then to contiue onto the OSH trail. All were found plus a few others along the way.

In town for the Red Centre Experience event. Loved the walk around this track with a lovely group of geomates. Some caches were easy to find. Some proved more elusive. Some were a bit off with the coordinates (according to our GPS and phone devices.) It was a great adventure we all enjoyed. Thanks for the series. Cheers.

After a great coffee in town, we heading out for our days caching foray with iluvtrekking. Must admit the weather is fantastic for caching, sun shining but a slight breeze to take the edge off it. We had not trouble with any of the caches found today - except this one. Took a return visit after completing the circuit to find the well blend3ed bison. Loved the walk through this reserve. Appreciate the effort all CO's have put into places caches for the Event over Easter weekend. Thanks Alicecaching
Found with Hearse068 while in the area for the Red Centre Event . We came to Alice two days early due to car problems so let's go caching. This is one of the caches we found. Thanks for placing it. TFTC hmm pays to read cache size.
10 April 2017 l Found with Gonefishen07 on our little adventure to Alice Springs for the Mega event. Thank you for taking the time to place the cache
Lucky there were a few of us looking - I was looking in the wrong direction. Good change.
Travelling around Australia and now super excited to be at Alice Springs for the Easter Geocaching Event.
The morning was taken up with medical appointments, but after lunch Mr Felix decided he would take a walk to pick up the caches that he was unable to collect on his bicycle. Some are just plain difficult by bike but most are signposted no bikes, but even so the caches are some distance off the walk track.
He took almost 3 hours to collect 16smilies. A great afternoon walk. Mrs Felix dropped him off at OSH and he was collected at the end of the day at the RSL

That one took ages, like a lot of others. Had given up and reassessed and finally got it
