We checked on this one while passing on 6/7/21 and it has gone missing, so we’re archiving it. We will make a note of the code on the Auckland Bonus cache page.
I spent the day today concentrating on the T2A-R series of caches (in my case, Auckland - Tauranga - Auckland). I got wind (on FB) from the C.O’s that these would be winding down soon, they have been going for some time and the maintenance is getting too much. So I set a plan in action and decided today I would complete the series. I have actually done most of them with rustynz and Rebel98 and supernanny about 6 years ago, but for some reason I surely can not remember, I didn’t bother collecting the numbers. Well, that was mainly what I had to do today.
Shame this one is missing, but got the number anyway.

Disabling until we can check on this, but it could be a while as we’re currently travelling in the South Island.
More of a "did not attempt" than a DNF. Stopped here to use the amenities and to find another T2A-R cache. But with several DNF logs and GZ looking like it has had attention from gardeners I decided to move on straight away. Might need a CO check.
Muggles having a picnic almost on top of it so gave up before the search started.
Dnf too many muggles around. Fortunately we got the clue for the bobus cache by checking the Est. as indicated. Thanks
The cache was missing when we checked today. We have replaced it with a different container in a new GZ close to the previous position, and updated description and hint.

DNF sadly. I had some friends with me who joined in on the hunt. Maybe another day.
Now NZ has moved to Alert Level 2, Geocaching is allowed but it’s up to each one of us to keep the rest of us safe.

Did the window walk and just had to pick this one up going past with the granddaughters. Tftc
The ideal spot waiting for the drawning rain to stop.
Muggles, muggles and again muggles. But with some patience we managed.

We were on the way south from Thames to Rotorua. Made a stop here at this stunning landscape and walked the old way. Thanks for all the caches here.

Durant notre trip en Nouvelle Zélande, nous nous arrêterons sur quelques caches pour jaunir un peu le pays !
Ce circuit mériterait une belle maintenance générale d'après moi...

On our way from Hahei to Waihi beach, we went to Karangahake Gorge. It is really very beautiful, as is the Windows walk. Off course did some geocaching. CO's, thanks for placing and maintaining these caches.
Very hard to grab with so many muggles around but MacyC95 was ambitious and stealthy
Spotted relatively quickly, but muggles were sitting there. Had to inconspicuously do the kneeling and get this one. TFTC

Unsere Neuseelandrundreise Tag 3 - Hobbiton bei Matamata, Karangahake & Tauranga
#7
Cache. Es dauerte etwas mit dem finden. Ich musste einige Muggel abwarten und das bücken fällt mir schwer. Aber am Ende konnte ich doch loggen.
Leider war das Cafe in der Nähe geschlossen.

Our New Zealand tour Day 3 - Hobbiton near Matamata, Karangahake & Tauranga
# 7
After our tour of the Hobbiton movieset, KLB12 & M wanted to do another walk. Based on recommendations that KLB12 had received, the Window Walk Karangahake was chosen. Since this was nothing more for me, I limited myself to
the cache search and then wanted to go to the nearby cafe. The first cache I hade
wanted to search was not available to me. So I came back here and was looking for this
Cache. It took something to find. I had to wait a few muggles and it is difficult for me to bend down. But in the end I was able to log.
Unfortunately the cafe nearby was closed.
Since my english is very bad, I use internet translators. I hope my log is still understood.
Greetings from Saarland/Germany.

1st find of the day as we set off for a walk; found after a quick grope around. TFTC
Found with amm56, TFTC, barely a muggle in sight, a rare occurence at this beautiful spot
Quick find after our walk to the windows.
DerSchaeff sends greetings from Germany and thanks for the cache.

Awesome place here a shame we didn't have more time for exploring. Tftc with isistibisi.
lovely lunch at talisman cafe and then a wander over here. quick find between muggles. tftc
Well this was a very high muggle area today due to the gorgeous weather. The kids provided excellent cover for retrieval once we finally figured out where it was.
Had to be very stealthy lots of muggles around but thought we did well retrieving the cache without too many people seeing. Always handy having some kids as less obvious when they are looking around. Thanks for the find.
From Holland, we are on holiday in New Sealand. First we visited two weeks the south Island. Now we are on the north Island. This afternoon we have made a beautiful walk in the gorge. Thank you very much for the cache. Greetz from Holland.
Had also given this one a miss when I was last here, but mid morning on a Wednesday, and the place is almost deserted. A nice cunning hide, TFTC
Found with a sister during our expedition to NZ, where we explored part of the North Island and could visit our classmates and friends that we have not seen for several years, as it is here, in Auckland and Napier live ... Thank you for cache ...
We were heading to Waihi for a day of caching and we were about an hour ahead of the others we were caching with, so we collected a few other caches along the way. We had to wait for some muggles to finish reading the sign before we could make the find, but thankfully we managed to do so in a gap in the foot traffic (it is a popular place). Cache found, signed and returned. Found with darthcacher1 and purply.
Wow... That was a quick find and log...
Thank you for the cache

Looking like the perfect day for a walk! Excited to be here with the family. Thanks!
We are in New Zealand for 10 Weeks, enjoying our parental time together with our little daughter.
We made a stop on the way to our 2nd bigger stay close to Matamata. Here at the Karangahake Gorge we did the Windows Walk with our little one in the push chair. I can only say, that this was not a good idea at all. Hunderts of stair cases on the way up - and in the end a totally dark and small tunnel without light. Of course, the sings warns you about this but we had been so busy with other things (including geoache) that we haven't read them. Though, we had a nice view from the windows.
On the way back we found this cache along the easy and push chair friendly way.
Found it together with Sinlkid

During our parental time we travelled 10 weeks through New Zealand and had a great time here. We met a lot of nice people and visited wonderful places.
On the way to Okoroire we stopped at the Karangahage George, where we walked to the window view. A quite bad idea with a stroller but we made it and at the end we also find this cache.
Together with Bodo on Tour and Little Emilia we say thank you for the cache.

I'm here in New Zealand for 1 year. Today we made the karangahake historic walk and on the way i looked for this cache and found him!
Found quickly with the great hint provided. Brilliant cache. Loved it. Unfortunately didn’t have a pen though
What an amazing spot and an amazing part of NZ. I would love to return one day and explore this rich area some more.
Fortunely no muggles around this afternoon which made reaching for this cache 'easy as'.

We were pleased to see this one had been replaced and stopped off to find it on our way to Waihi.
As previous logs have said it seems there is much confusion about right and left with this one and it keeps getting moved as a result.
We had the same problem and couldn't find it on the right but soon located it on the left. To keep with tradition we have re-hidden it on the right when we are facing the sign and our backs are to the river.
In any case, this is a nice hide in a great location. Thanks nzkites.

The hint is now correct. Someone previous dont know their right from their left but we found it. Tftc

Driving from hobbiton to coromandel and decided to stop at the Karangahake gorge as it looked like it had some interesting walks. With interesting walks come interesting geocaches, so we were happy to see some on the route we had planned to take. This was our first. TFTC.
In Waihi for the weekend with Supernanny and Jag50. It was quiet today so I had no trouble making a quick find
I am traveling with my daughter Lucinka mundlinka and son Negrritos across the New Zealand. We are from Prague, Czech Republic. We love "geocaching", the main target is caches )

Didn’t find it. Looked where it should have been so if it’s still there I think it’s been moved
