I came out here earlier in the year and my gps had me in a particular area. I looked for about 30min. The place was quite overgrown so I couldn’t be sure if it was there or not. Today I came back expecting to be looking for a while again but my gps took me to a completely different place and when I got there I saw the hiding spot straight away.
Thanks TrickyT for finding this tricky terrain in the middle of the city.

Found while in the area visiting my son for his birthday. #10 for the day. Nice quick find after checking at the wrong elevation. Cool cache.
Sometimes it’s not about the numbers. This was my only find on this outing, mainly because I was here searching for over an hour. The frustrating thing is that I unwittingly had my hand on it within the first few minutes. Thanks for the cache
With my usual geocaching playmates all otherwise occupied, I was heading out solo today to visit a few caches that I have had my eye on for a while but never seem to get around to finding, particularly this one which hasn't had a visitor in a while.
Parking at the indicated parking coordinates, I sat in the car and peered towards where the arrow on my phone was pointing me and wondering what was going to be the best way to access it. Tentatively I followed the footpath but was sure that wasn't going to head me in the right direction. So decided there was nothing for it but to head into the scrub.
Normally this option would not phase me and I would have just headed bush right from the car, but today I was not wearing my usual geocaching uniform of long pants and boots. Instead I was still wearing my shorts and joggers from this morning's Park Run, and as I soon encountered a thick and wide patch of chest high long grass, I was quickly rueing this decision. Sure that every snake in the City of Ipswich was lurking, waiting to sink its fangs into my sparkly white office-tanned legs, I quickly turned tail and retreated back to the path.
I followed this down to the next street, where a sudden turn in the path seemed to head in the right direction only to cease abruptly in a puzzling dead end. I heading back along the path where I had spied a rocky drain way and decided to bite the bullet and wade through the long grass (at least it was only waist high here). Dropping in elevation I soon found myself facing my next conundrum. Not only had I left behind my boots, long pants, gaiters and hiking pole, but I was also deficient in abseiling equipment to get me over the cliff face confronting me!
Some further exploration soon revealed that my situation was not quite that dire, and I was able to find a longer, less direct route to get me down towards GZ. Once there I spent some time circling the area, with even the adjusted coordinates not placing me anywhere likely. Using the clue however I was able to discount most of where I had been looking and set about a new hunt. After checking and rechecking a few spots, I sat to read some past logs to try and glean some information. I titbit grabbed my attention and that caused me to go back to a spot I had checked twice already. Sure enough the cache was found in its hiding spot which I had actually picked up twice without realising it. Well played Tricky T. THanks for bringing me to this quite unexpected location. TFTC
P.S. I'm pretty sure I dated the logbook with 16/4/21 by mistake

Back for a second lock after some encouragement from CO.
It is indeed well hidden but this time I avoided looking around the boulder that lies lonely on the slope.
Thank you for placing this geocache TrickyT

Found with tic toc. We had some fun scrambling around the rocks and spent about 10 minutes searching before spying the cache container. TFTC
I think I counted four finds in three years... it was a scramble... but I’ve done worse... the description is accurate, so no one but myself to blame...
Replaced the snap lock bag and silica... thanks for the cache TrickyT... nice work on the camo...

Having spent a lot of the day in relaxation mode, this one was definitely a scramble!
Celebrations all around. This cache is no longer unloved on this International Geocaching Day 2019. It is also our 700th find. A find that tested this old fellas agility and endurance. Thanks TrickyT.
Sorry to ruin your party bobandclaire but I actually found it on my return visit last week.
On my way back out of Ipswich I was determined to look for this one and with a hint from the CO went back to check. Yes there it is. Little did I know the CO had been there only minutes before me and returned said cache to the correct location.
I must say this is a very interesting little rock feature tucked away in here. I enjoyed exploring the place . ( Cache log written 19/8)

Spent 30 minutes poking looking and pondering the universe. GPS is not happy and it gave me a number of different GZ option and would not settle at any particular spot.
With two DNFs on this one, (over 12 months apart), I'll pop by later and check on it.
Called by this afternoon and can confirm cache is there and patiently waiting for a visitor as it's nearly 2 years unloved.
Maintenance call today. All good but log is being replaced. A lot more grass and scrub on the approach than when I put it out. There are a few way to get to GZ. Look for the easy.
Nice spot. A little bit off the beaten track but reasonably easy to find once at GZ. TFTC
**# 17246** Found on the Qld leg of our 2017 winter escape trip.
Another warm sunny winter day for a drive around the area with RoddyC.
Not many muggles around and a good quick find here.
Just had to scramble to get to GZ, and had a few options to choose from.
Thanks for the cache TrickyT,

Geocaching day with Roostaman.
Parked at the top and scrambled down in a direct line until we came to the rocks. Roostaman made the find if another clever hide Favourite.
Going back seemed steeper!

I am heading to Tweed head and have allowed a few days caching along the way from Toowoomba.
Over 2 half days and 2 full days caching i found over 130 caches.
Today was a full day caching and found 50+ caches.
I missed this on the first pass but found it eventually.
Thanks for the cache.

Out and about on the geocycle in the area today.
I had been oh so close to this one just minutes before, but a fence gave me grief. Around it was to be.
Not the easiest one in the bike shoes, but I managed it unscathed.
With the usual excellent co-ords it was a nice quick find at GZ.
Another favourite point for your well earned collection Mr Tricky. [^]

Another Thursday's caching with barbb and Mrs JAT and today we were on the lookout for Homer, some Christmas Memories and the Holy Grail. Our adventure started in Rocklea and ended in Bellbowrie, 13 caches found and 2 DNFs - it was a busy day!
This cache was a lovely surprise. We had target caches for the day and barbb noticed it was near one of them. The terrain rating had us interested, so we took a small detour and headed down the hill. After reading Gunnie's log, I'm glad we took the easier road, which still had us doing some rock hopping We got to a very promising little spot and I started to search. Oh, that looks interesting...poke...prod...OMG, it's the cache...what a fluke! I called out to the girls and they came over to have a look, what a clever container. TFTC TrickyT and for an unexpected, awesome hide

Mrs Just a Trifle was out and about today caching with Raynersinoz and barbbowman for a bit of Thursday fun. After previously finding some caches in a couple of different series placed by various caching teams, today's goal was to try to finish some of them off. Well we did manage to complete one, get the finals for a second, and make a dent in the third so it was quite a productive day really.
Thank you TrickyT for having placed the series and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy.

In typical Gunnie style, I upped the terrain rating by making my approach a lot harder than it needed to be. I followed the cobbled drain down til it ran out, then headed bush. Sure, you need to do that, but not to the extent I did. I traversed rocks, slid down some steep bits, all to find a much easier option once I arrived near GZ... Of course...
Luckily, once in location, I put my hand straight onto the container... I kinda thought this would be a TrickyT special and I was right... I etched my name in the log, tucked it back, then took the much friendlier exit to the path and back to the car.
Nicely done sir, I'm pleased to see the T3 rating on this one too. Although as I said, I upped it a little just for fun... [^] A favourite point from me, for the location and the container.
Cheers TrickyT.

Traveling back to Bris from Toowoomba and decided to stop off and grab a few caches in the area. This one always pops up being so close to the highway. Time to remove it and grab a smiley. The puppy and I headed into grab this one and I think we might have gone the wrong way!! He certainly wasn't impressed with me but we made it to GZ and soon had the cache in hand. We found the easier way out to the car. TFTC TrickyT
A big thankyou for the parking co-ords. I was born in Ipswich and like you have travelled past here many times and always felt that I would like to have a house up there, I must have been ahead of myself as there is now quite the development here.
We hope mark 3 manages to stay, we wondered about the previous two until we checked the logs. So long as no-one is watching we feel that this one should stay as it is nicely concealed. What gave it away for us was the bare earth near GZ so as we left we made sure our footprints had some cameo on them to hide them from any muggle eyes. SL TFTC
A favourite for showing us the way to the rocks

Sorry for the delay, it's been a tricky one due to some interesting activities. With school holidays over I called back today with the intention of replacing but blow me down there was a chap there who was crawling all over the rocks taking photos. He tells me he's researching these areas (Here and White Rock), searching for signs of pre-aboriginal life!! He's convinced the rocks were placed here by a superior race. The fun things you come across while geocaching. Anyway he then proceeded to follow me around discussing his research. Long story short there was no way I could place a cache today so I bid him farewell and left. Will attempt again in the next few days.
Have returned a couple of time to replace this one but have been muggled away. Kids are using the area as a playground and someone has been camping here as well. Will watch and see if it improves or close it down.
Doing a quick check and discovered this one is missing, again. Will have to revise and maybe revamp the type of cache to go here. Will be back though.
I parked at the suggested spot and, thinking this would be a simple walk in the park, left my hiking pole in the car and headed down the path and the GPS then pointed 100m down the hill.
Seeing my old legs are not as stable as they used to be I cautiously headed down through the boulders and finally arrived at the Dimple rock without injury.
I located the cache on the second circuit around the rock.
I then signed the log and then spent some time admiring the rock wall. I then checked a few different routes back but eventually took the reverse of my approach route to get back up the rocks without too much struggling.
A great spot you have found here TrickyT. Deserves a Fav point. Thanks for bringing me here.

Today we explored Ipswich and surrounds using geocaching as a guide.
Walked to GZ down the bank and found the cache in its hidy hole, an interesting placement of the surrounding rocks.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

After a big day taking on The Punisher Ms Maddy and I caught up with NurseyJulie to take on Dimple Rock. After a quick drive we all found ourselves near GZ and the hunt began. It took some effort to get to but once there we all spread out and began looking for dimples. Before long a promising dimple was found and there was the cache.

TFTC!
I had looked at finding this one when it was first published and saw it from atop, but unfortunately the fading light had beaten me to even begin to search properly. Today though, I saw that it was recently reactivated and with the support of MsMaddy and Dawsey321 we made it down to the GZ. A few hops and jumps around the rocks and the GPS and phones gave us a triangulation and we checked all the spots. Then we spotted the little dimple in its dimple hole, so we dimpled our name in the dimple container. TFTC TrickyT
First name in new logbook. New location should be much safer and well away from feral zone.
Thanks Tricky.

Dropped by here today and sadly it has disappeared. Will get it up and running again soon, as I love this spot, but will move it to avoid the same thing happening.
Been there twice now without joy. Thorny bushes & GPS pointing in every direction aren't much fun. Plus evidence of ferals.
How about a hint?

While my kids were at dance lesson I decided to find this cache. A walk along the path then a bit of a bush walk down. Found the cache easily. Now to go back up. Hey, I've done the Stinson trek so this shouldn't be too hard! TFTC!
I was in the area today and remembered this cache and thought it would be an interesting location. There was beautiful views while I made my way to GZ. It did not take to long to locate the cache. A very nice hide indeed. While sitting at GZ I had a good view of another cache GZ across the motorway. TFTC.
Finally got around to getting this one, one of my closest from home unfound. With a little time up my sleeve I headed out. What an interesting area. I spotted the cache quite quickly. I wasn't wearing the best shoes for the terraon and with shorts I got caught up in some thorny vines so my legs copped a beating but otherwise all well. Sat and watched the cars zoom by for a bit till heading off. Tftc
TFTC. #289. A great location over looking the highway. A good hide. Luckily I had company in my geodaughter who came up with the goods after a few minutes. Thanks for bringing me here.
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
I have visited this area previously and knew of the terrain. Did not take much time to notice something out of place.
Zeroed in on it and eventually spotted something a bit out of place. Rugged terrain. A few houses still in progress.
We pulled up at the suggested parking coords, and made our way down towards GZ, and soon began the hunt. We searched high and low however could not spot the cache. We decided one particular rock had to be the infamous dimple rock, so we focused on it, and quickly spotted something loose, and soon had the cache in hand

With a very short window of opportunity today, I drove speedily to the spot, enjoying memories of various cache locations nearby along the way. The terrain didn't look too demanding until I got close... Whereupon I went down, then up, then down, then over and around, then back up again (repeat). I think I was distracted by a few things which looked suspicious, and I also found lots of wonderful little nooks and crannies, and was hoping I wouldn't be needing to stick my hand into any risky spots (no, it's not necessary), as I was super-snake-aware. After quite a while of looking around, I suddenly looked in a direction I had otherwise ignored. D'oh! That'll be it... Very nicely done, and yes, I also carefully recovered it as one way does seem better than another. TFTC once again, Tricky-T, and a good workout of all kinds.
We were heading home from our day of caching when we saw a local cache and detoured to the area to get. A nice neat hide, replaced where we found it. TFTC TrickyT
You noticed this from the highway? Hmmmm...somebody may not be keeping his eyes on the road But you obviously lived to place this cache so all is well We were headed home today from a spot of cache hunting when I suddenly remembered this new local cache and detoured to the area. Very odd how the concrete path goes nowhere and come to an abrupt end, but I'm sure the designers had it all figured out[:o)] After scrambling down to GZ it took a couple of minutes to spot the hide. Very neatly done, I was careful to replace it just right. TFTC TrickyT
One of the first finds since I have completed our renovation. It was very good to head to a place I have been to on quite a few occasions. Great to spend a bit of time here searching for a well concealed cache. In fact it took quite a while before I finally located it after checking out all the prickly bushes around, As usual I need not have ventured that far.
Thanks TrickyT for my first cache back. Will introduce Goldie to it tomorrow.

Our first Saturday of non-renovating [:) ]. Out and about at Goodna to grab some new caches and this was our next one. I know this area very well having living in this area for many years. In fact Stairman1 and I used to walk down this way with our kids before this area was developed. We would take our bikes and spend hours riding around the place. Today we walked past some of the new houses and headed down to dimple rock. At least they survived Stairman1 had found this one yesterday so I did my own search and with his guidance found it placed my name on the page and headed back past civilization. Thanks TrickyT
Congratulations bikerleo7 on the ftf. Yes their amazing rock all right.I love them.
