Logs
The gardens were closed as we drive to find this cache, but this didnt stop us finding the cache. The log paper is full - we found a small space to add our name. We havent visited these gardens before, so must come and visit them next time we are in the area. TFTC
After a day out exploring Waikino and Paeroa the team SEAC crew on todays adventure started to head home but with some significant milestones looming (1000 for NurseDr and 50 for TogForNZ) we just HAD to stop for a few more.....Didn't take too long for TogForNZ and NurseDr to find this one. Thanks for the cache.
Quick find with Cympull. Stopped off on our way up north. Gardens closed and cold foggy morning. TFC
Thanks for your amazing cache nzkites. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Heading to Whangarei from Waihi Beach so this was the first coffee stop. Found with Fisha1288 Cheers, Cympull.
It was hard but when we looked closer we found it.How found it.Harper JacksonDevyn ConnorKeesJames
Out today caching with Glen, and we stopped here for a bit of a driving break. Of course that meant we had to check for nearby caches. This one was a shirt walk away, and we managed to find it pretty quickly. Glen was the one who soon had it in hand. Seems in mostly good condition. Tftc #1641
It was a quick, good look with the eye, but came up empty handed. Garenswere open and muggles coming and going. Hopefully I'll be back to get a smiley.Cheers
Such a shame the gardens were closed but a nice quick find with the cache. TFTC
What fantastic gardens. Starting with the parking signs and humor stayed throughout. Definitely worth a stop. TFTC all good here.
Never knew this place was even here, would recommend parking up rather than coming from the back.
Looked in the wrong place at first, then checked GPS and used some logic.
All safe and dry.
TFTC.

I was heading to Waihi for a couple of days and stopped to look for this cache on the way past, which was a nice easy find at GZ. TFTC!
Stopped in Ngatea for dinner and decided to go caching while waiting for the food. Cool walk around the block and easy find. TFTC!
Get find took us a while because we didn't see much succulents like in the photo TFTC
Nice quick find. I’m heading to Tauranga from Auckland, tho didn’t realise this series existed so won’t be able to grab them all now!
TFTC!

Found whilst out walking the dog. Nice quick find. Didn’t have a pen for the log so may have to come back!
Shame it was closed today. We did wonder if we'd be able to get the cache, but no problems.
Thanks for putting this here for us to find

Don't usually have the best luck when hunting alone so this quick find was a lovely confidence boost, tftc
Stopped for lunch and took the opportunity to pick up this cache. Gates closed - no one home. TFTC
Nice easy find. Couldn't stop to see the gardens as on a mission with more caches to find!
Quick easy find after a lovely wander around the gardens. NB take care as there was a small wasps nest in the area
PLEASE NOTE: Geocaching is not permitted during Covid levels 3 and 4.

A nice park and grab while travelling through Ngatea. Mrs Taylana spotted this one after a brief search, and then we were on our way. Hopefully there will be other caches in Ngatea in future! TFTC
Checked on the cache today and removed two (!) extra containers in the vicinity of GZ.
I pulled in here when it was quite dark at night, on my way home after doing the old Mnt Te Aroha cache 101. I see I have done this one, so only needed the number from the cache.
I see 2 caches are here, the old small round one and the much newer 200ml sistema, which is the one I signed in on.

Our second find of the day .... the Water Gardens are closed on Mondays at this time of the year - but we really really really must visit them one day.
Nice and quiet as the gardens were closed. After a minute or two looking in the wrong place, a nice easy find. TFTC
Shame we couldnt look through the water gardens due to a fire (the irony is not lost). Quick find and onwards, TFTC
Finally found a cache of this group, after no success today at several other cache locations.
We seldom come this way so as we were driving through Ngatea I took the opportunity to look for this one. TFTC
North Island Campervan trip Day 4
After the fantastic holiday I had a few months ago traveling around the South Island, making the most of one of those incredibly cheap campervan deals available at the time, I figured it was worth taking a week off work before the stresses of the usual holiday period to enjoy some of the delights to be found around the top of the North Island.
This would be a great chance for me to seek out some targeted caches such as the TMGT ones as well as some that would help me with my Jasmer grid, missing minutes (for a couple of challenge caches I'm working on) and any other caches that caught my eye.
I had just picked up the campervan and my intention was to make my way over to the Coromandel and end up in Whitianga for the night. I was looking forward to the journey as this is not a route I have traveled often, and never since discovering Geocaching! For this part of my journey, I was just looking for simple park 'n' grabs, not too far off my route, and this one seemed to fit the bill.
This was a very pretty distraction from my drive. Having never been here before I was surprised by its presence. I was able to park close to this one, and the excellent Hint meant that this was a quick find. There were no issues at all with this cache or the log, which was signed and replaced before I was back on my way again.
Thanks for setting this cache up.
