Welcome back, Geauga Lake, we missed ya! Forget all those young, upstart coasters! This is the Big Dipper, a classic wooden coaster with 2600 feet of track and a speed of 32, count 'em, 32 mph! We rode the Big Dipper when we were dating in high school. It was built in 1925. I really like it 'cause it's older than I am!!!

Found this one at Tivoliland (name changed to Karolinelund a few weeks ago). The park has got new owners, so we are looking forward to new attractions and a better park. Former owners ran it down...
You would like this one. 150 ft high, 3937 feet long 65 mph - first ever two inversion "sea serpent" with a high speed helix, 128 ft vertical loop, dive loop, zero-G roll and two corkscrews. G force of 4.5 and its 3 min 15 seconds of pure terror. This is the tallest, longest and most technologically advanced roller coaster in Northern California....NO THANKS!
This coaster is in Lubbock, TX. It is closed for the winter but will re-open in March for another season.
This is KONG which is at Six Flags Marineworld in Nothern California. It is 115' tall and 2175' long and reach speeds of 55mph. A RUSH!
Found this one in Freizeitpark Klötten, near Cochem(Moselle), Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
It is full operating, but still under construction. 2007 there will be a white-water-rafting crossing the Rollercoaster.
The concrete in the midle will be shaped into a Volcano.

Castles and Coasters. A thrill a minute. At least 2 coasters among the amusement rides, although it was so crowded it was hard to tell for sure. A lot of park on such a small area.
This is the latest coaster at Silver Dollar City,
It is located near Branson, Missouri.
"The new $10 million roller coaster sends riders into a thrill zone within seconds of climbing aboard, launching riders from 0 to 53 miles per hour in just 2.8 seconds.
A thrill ride unlike any other in the history of the park, PowderKeg combines the shocking speed of the compressed
air-launch with spiraling turns, negative gravitational or "G" forces,
and "floater" hills at speeds up to 64 miles per hour
for a truly wild ride experience."
This quote is from SDC's website, and every word is true.
I would say though that the ride is 0-to-Breathless in 2.8 seconds because the whole ride was just exilirating.
TFTC! It took me a week to log, to wait on the pictures.

This roller coaster is at Rhyl in North Wales, and is next to "The Loop" previously logged by Happy Landins. As it was December, it was closed for Winter and there wasn't even a sign giving its name!

Texas Cyclone at Astroworld in Houston, Tx. Sorry to say it won't be here long. Park has closed and is currently being dismantled to make way for owners to make a better profit for the land. Sorry to see it go, so many nice memories of both Astroworld and Astrodome.
Say goodbye to a friend. This is the Batman Coaster at Astroworld in Houston Texas. The park closed for good on 1 Nov 2005.
Seems the land is worth more for condos than it is for history and fun.
The coasters are being torn down starting this morning and in a few days, the Batman ride is history.
This was a really cool coaster because you basically stood up during the entire ride.
I stopped here today and took a bunch of photos for this cache log.

Two youngest members of AUHills wanted their first rollercoaster to be marked for this cache. This is Scorpion at Busch Gardens, Tampa.
This is the biggest moveable indoor rollercoaster worldwide. The name is "Starworld". Now it stops at the "Hamburger Dom" http://www.hamburgerdom.de in Hamburg.

Peterborough Ontario Canada. Found this roller coaster at an amusement centre called Wild Water and Wheels. No loops, but high, with a couple of 'hairy' corners. They are only open April to September, so couldn't actually ride the coaster this go round - maybe next summer!
Found this roller coaster at Santa’s Land Theme Park and Zoo, in Cherokee, NC. This would be mild stuff for some people, but it is still a pretty good ride. Thanks for the cache.
This Roller coaster is in the attraction park of the Barcelona city. Its higher point reaches the 30 meters and arrives at a speed of 45km/h. This attraction works the week ends to total yield. Greetings from Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
I know that this Roller Coaster isn't a large one, but it probably the only one in Northern Ontario Canada. It is located in Chippewa Park in Thunder Bay, Ontario. It is shut down for the winter at the time of the visit.

This roller coaster is located in Uncle Cliff's Amusement Park in Albuquerque, NM. They are seasonal and are now closed for the winter. They actually have 2 roller coasters, the Rattle Snake and the Galaxy. The Rattle Snake is a wooden one and has already been logged. This one is the GALAXY and is a metal roller coaster.

This thing kicks ass. It's called the Cobra, and forms the feature attraction of the Ratanga Junction theme park. The park is located just outside Cape Town, South Africa. It's a wild ride, and it gets a little wilder when you sit right at the front...
Been living in Tucson, Az. for 2 years now and the only roller coaster I've seen is off LaCanada Dr. The road is called this because it's got allot of dips in it. I took a picture but couldn't capture the dips.
Found this roller coaster at the Pavilion Amusement Park in Myrtle Beach, SC. Thanks!

This little one is the Barnstormer coaster in Walt Disney World's ToonTown. My 5 year old daughter loves the 40-second ride, especially the part where it crashes through the barn!
This is "Wildfire" located at Silver Dollar City near Branson Missouri. A great ride. Really smooth.
Found the Rollercoaster at the Heidepark Soltau in Germany. It is the steepest wooden roller coaster of the World called Colossos. Greetings from Germany

I maked this roller coaster on the 02.10.05. at 15:01. This is the onlyest coller coaster in Tallinn, Estonia. It is quite small too, so it is boring. I have travelled with it's small vagon. That place is called Rocca Al Mare Tivoli.
This one is called ''Le Monstre'' it is located in Montreal, Canada.
The amusemant park is named ''La Ronde'' and as 3 big roller coasters, but ''Le Monstre'' is awsome.
It is entirely made out of wood and reacts with the weather so the ride is never the same.

Located in Tulsa, OK at Bell's Amusement Park. The Zingo is the largest wooden roller coster in Oklahoma. They are looking at building a new one sometime in the future.
My fiance works here at Six Flags Marine World in Vallejo, CA. As a perk she gets free tickets and I got a free season pass. I come here about once a month. This rollercoaster, the Boomerang, haunts me because I do not like to go backwards. Ah well... anything for a cache!
Coaster Thrill Ride
My son and I rode this roller coaster today at the Western Washington Fair in Puyallup, Washington. We were in the Or'nry Orange car. I've been on this roller coaster many times over the past few decades, and my mom rode this same roller coaster when she was growing up in Puyallup in the 1930s. Thank you for maintaining this locationless cache for the past three years.
I found additional information about the Coaster Thrill Ride at ultimaterollercoaster.com and edited my log entry to include it:
This roller coaster at the Western Washington Fair operates for only a limited time each year during the state fair, but remains on the fair grounds year-round. The roller coaster was originally designed as a side-friction coaster that was later converted by Walker LeRoy. The three Prior & Church trains were purchased from Happyland in Vancouver BC, where they ran on the Giant Dipper. The three 16-passenger trains were rebuilt and restored.

While heading to Las Vegas for "Frozen Fury 8" we stopped at Buffalo Bolls in Primm, NV to ride their roller coaster. This is "Desperado". The first dropp will blow you away. This was my 4th time in 3 years to ride this wild coaster. If you're in town, RIDE IT!!! TFTL
Glad to find that cache, because it is only 10 minutes from my house. Quick lunch break to ride the roller coaster (Willy Mouse), in Prater, Vienna. The scary part was, that I was sick with a flu when I started, but after the ride, my headache was gone.
I was alone, which made it harder to take pictures of myself.

This is Dollywood's newest roller coaster. Thunderhead crosses over and under itself 32 times and puts you under 3.5 G-Forces.
This ride is at Magic Park in Thessaloniki, Greece. Nothing spectacular, but not a kiddie ride either.
The roller coasters near home are all claimed, but we discovered an unclaimed one at Wyandot Lake Theme Park in Shawnee Hills, Ohio. The park was not open, so we could not get on the coaster, but we got as close as possible. It appears to be a wooden roller coaster. It is not a very large one, as you will see from the pictures. The coordinates are at the gate, which is close as we could get.
Found this roller coaster in Nuremberg/Germany. One of the attractions of the "Volksfest am Dutzendteich", see www.volksfest-nuernberg.de/ .

[font=comic sans ms]We found SheiKra while on vacation at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.. This has to be the BEST Coaster in the park..
SheiKra - 200 feet up and 90 degrees straight down
SheiKra gives riders a 70 mph, adrenaline-pumping experience like no other. At 200 feet, SheiKra now takes the crown as Florida's tallest roller coaster. This thrill machine is also the tallest dive coaster in the world and the first of its kind to incorporate an Immelmann loop, a second, 138-foot dive into an underground tunnel and a water-feature finale..

This is a roller coaster inside a shopping mall in Malaysia, in fact, it is part of an entire amusemant park. The whole shebang occupies about five floors of the Times Square building in Jalan Imbi (Imbi Street), Kuala Lumpur.
There are viewing areas around parts of the 'coaster, so you can get quite close to the action (see photo). Predictably, it is difficult to get a decent photograph with a cheap digital camera, so the attached photos are a little over exposed. It is impossible to get a GPS fix inside, so the coordinates above are of the Imbi Monorail station that is attached to the building.

In Adelaide, South Australia this is the closest thing we have to a roller coaster, and rolls and it coasts.
The ride is called Mad Mouse. Each car is an individual ride for three people. Never, never, never, never ride in the front. You are projected out over the track at every corner. I still have nightmares about my first and only ride.
The ride in the local showground and only functions for 10days each year. A company I worked for used to inspect the clamping mechanisms every year. Not sure who does it now.
