Well what can we say but WOW, what a journey to get in here, the water crossings were high after the recent rains but we were up for the challenge, the best thing about this cache is the adventure getting here. We had the pool all to ourselves today and Mrs Parkacruz even went in for a dip in the freezing waters. We had the cache in hand pretty quickly, we read about 12m off the coordinates, use your geocache sense and you will know where to look. Thanks Kyzabra for brining us here, a favourite your way TFTC

Decided to come here to stay Saturday night so I found the cache as the sun was setting. Awesome drive in with some lonnng water crossings, nice to give the under body a wash and potentially get rid of some salt from previous adventures. Thanks for the hunt! Cache is all in good order.

We camped at Kalgan pool for five wonderful nights. We saved this cache as our very special find on the international geocaching day. A short climb and The cache was found in an obvious spot after a short search. The container and contents are in excellent condition we love these well-placed hides in special places. A favourite point from us

I had a spare day in the area as my job tomorrow was coming out of Roy Hill. So I left at 7am and I made my way up to the first river crossing and was a little concerned about continuing on my own. I put my water shoes on and rolled my pants up to my knees and went for a bit of a wander into the water. Another car drove up and stopped at the water so I had a chat and he walked the whole crossing, but wasn't prepared to go on as he had to get back to Newman that day. I was pondering if I should just do it anyway when a third party arrived. They were prepared to go the whole way and I gratefully followed along. There were a few crossings and I probably would have turned around at the 4th one if I had of been on my own. Thank goodness for backup. We had no problems though and the end destination was fabulous. I was a bit concerned about the climb, but after tying the dog to a tree in the shade I made my way up to the geo. Thankfully it was right where I had guessed it would be. So a nice quick find, I signed the log and returned it to whence it came. It took me a bit longer to get down as I'm a real sook when it comes to heights. But I made it. This geo was an awesome adventure that took me out of my comfort zone, but was soo worth it. Thanks for placing it, otherwise I probably would never have made the trip and then I would have missed all the fun. TFTC Smile

What a fantastic cache this is, the journey IS the cache in this case.
There was plenty of water in the creek bed that you had to drive through to get to Kalgans Pool and then a short climb up the cliff to the hidey hole.
Thanks Kyzabra, it's a pity we can only give you one favorite point.

pug002 found it 12/8/2018 on our trip north geocaching. Geo hubby did his research and had I seen there were so many crossings I would have said no way. Anyway after doing the other two we head off. The road seemed endless and suddenly we came to the crossing, oh dear should we be doing this. Geo Hubby got out and said it's okay it is shallow. Came to the next and by the time we came to the long one I was about to have a heart attack. Can't stop now he says. Finally came to the road after the crossings finished and then the pool, well breath taking or what! What a magnificent site. Off we went looking for the cache and before I had a chance to start hubby said I got it. I felt cheated as I had not had a chance to even start looking. Hubby said on the way out you take photos of the crossings, before we got to the crossings a couple were coming with a small camper, so we pulled over to give them room to pass, we chatted and I said are you geocachers and they looked blank so obvious they weren't. Off we went before I knew it we were over all the crossings, I guess he had a method in his madness taking my mind off it by taking photos. This deserves more than one favourite if we could give them. Anyway TFTC and the adventure Kyzabra SmileSmile Fav from us

AH RATS!!!! ... This cache has been taunting me for years now!
I finally get a chance to tackle it and 5kms from GZ, the road turns into a river Surprised. I crossed one section, but them lost site of the road. Unsure of the depth and being in a not-so-high Hilux, i decided that i didn’t feel like walking back to the bitumen from here and explaining to FMG why I had bogged their LV in a river out here in work time [:o)]
Looking now at logs (ain’t hindsite grand?), i probably should have kicked the steel caps off and checked out the depth Sad
Oh well .. its’ taunting continues Twisted

A quick find after driving out from Newman this afternoon. This cache has been on my ToDo list for several years - and finally we have stopped in town for a few days with some caching. We had enjoyed a Mine Tour this morning then lunch in the caravan and now it's playtime. SL - my first visit here in about 35 years. We met a couple camping next to one of the streams along the track and had a short chat before continuing along through the water section. Thanks to Kyzabra for the cache, the fun and the memories.

Found today with JohnMcLarnon. Was one of the best caches I have done.

4WD only, and be mindful of any weather beforehand. We were luckily that we only had to cross tyre high streams.

Also note we didn't have any phone service, so be prepared to save details and coordinates beforehand.

Best to make this a day trip (or camp overnight) as besides the cache there is plenty to do there!

Almost got there, but at the last bit there was too much water after last week rains. Could've probably got through, but decided to turn back (traveling alone). Sometimes better be safe than sorry. Will try again later.

Found it during my working stay in Newman. A very peaceful place. The water was cold but it was refreshing to swim in the pool. Thank to show me this place and for the cache.

An awesome cache.
I was traveling up to Pt Hedland, and had all day to do so, so came by here to grab the FTF first.
A well waymarked route in had me on the right road and sooner than I had thought I was standing at a fair sized body of water in a nice little gorge.
I didn't have the place to myself as their were a couple of campers but given the cache placement they weren't a problem as they had camped up close to the water.

This place reminds me of the Flinders Ranges at home so much that it made me want to get out camping when I get home back to SA.

A definite favourite from me.
