Been riding motorbike on Auckland day and did some caches around the Lake on the first stage of the ride. Will come back for the rest at a later stage. TFTC.
Mrs NZT and I decided to have a road trip day today. Left home at 6.30am (crazy I know when we are on holiday but then this is holiday enjoyment for us!!!), drove lots of kms all over the place and back home in time for dinner with a nice haul of smiles (we mostly had smiles today woohoo).By now it was only 8.51am and this was our 8th traditional find plus 15 adlabs....we were on a roll!! Stopped for some sunscreen application (the day was heating up too) and we were on our way again. Thanks for the cache.
A last minute plan was hatched for Keylev and Mrs NZT to have a girls day out in the Waikato today. We started out early in the day. grabbed a coffee at Mercer and then started caching. We had a great day driving around lesser travelled roads and enjoying the sun. Got a few newer adlabs completed and also a number of other more traditional caches. Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining the caches. Finally finished back in Pokeno with a well deserved ice cream and after 11 hours caching we were ready to head home for some dinner. A GREAT day out. Another quick park and grab and a pause to apply sunscreen, its was getting very warm by now. TFTC!
Nice to find a good place to pull over as the cars around here seem to be racing along. A nice quick find here today. Tftc

Just enough room to park the van, and then quickly out and didnt take long to figure out where it would be hidden!
Thanks nzkites for the hides!

Headed down this way today with the intention of collecting the Pickup 52 trail of caches, and any others along the way....as am in need of some numbers for my goal for the year.....
Thank you to the CO's for cache placement, and bringing me to these locations.
After locating all I could of the Pickup 52 series, I was still left with quite some time before heading home....in other words it was still light, so I went in search of other caches on lesser travelled roads for me.........

We checked on this cache while in the area today. All good here and awaiting the next finder.
Cache 4 of 5 for the day
Luckly there was the little drive area to park in, not sure how else you would have been able to stop
Quick find, sign and return

The stream here doesn't look any better than the lake it comes from.

You weren’t wrong about the traffic. Wow!
first went to the wrong structure, but with a reach in soon had the cache in hand. This is the first of these official log books I’ve come across. Nice wee spot for a PNG.

Now NZ has moved to Alert Level 2, Geocaching is allowed but it’s up to each one of us to keep the rest of us safe.

On a trip up to Auckland today to hear Pentatonix tonight - should be great! Left a little earlier so that we can detour and cache all the way down this road. Great spot here TFTC
We checked on this while passing today, cache all good and awaiting the next finder.
Sadly the water quality in the stream looks questionable but it has been an interesting drive around the lake.
A last minute change in the family's plans for today meant I had an unexpected few hours to myself. Mulled over the options for getting out and about, given the weather wasn't great, and decided on a country road tiki tour picking up a few caches that I've been meaning to grab for a while. No-one about today, thankfully, and I was lucky enough to put my hand on the cache straight away, cache all good, thanks for the hide.
Travelling in our campervan we were a bit hesitant about parking here, but managed to get far enough off the road. Nice quick find of the cache, thanks.
nice quick park and grab. Wrong side of road initially. Not a lot of traffic but it sure travels fast

Coming from Auckland towards taupo and rotorua we had to stop here to have a look at the Great Lake... and to grab this one

Slight detour to find this cache on our way to Rotorua for the annual Tough Guy n Gal Challenge.
A busy road today made worse by looking on the wrong side of the road. Once on the correct side all good. Thanks for the cache NZKites.
Have been to Auck for a funeral ...decided to take a detour and grab some caches around the lake area on the way home to lighten the mood....this is a fast flowing river and quite a busy raid ...soon had the nicely placed cache in hand and log signed thanks NZkites for the cache
On the way to Auckland to pick up a rather fortuitous Trade Me purchase, and figured I'd turn it into 2 days of caching as well
This was found quickly and in good condition thanks to good coords and a straight forward placement. Cheers nzkites - TFTC.

Since it was very in the morning and very dark too, when I pulled up here I could hear what sounded like an engine, maybe a tractor engine running! But there were no lights coming from the sound nor was it moving. So maybe it was a water pump of some sort, who knows. So found the cache and signed myself in and departed.
As part of our current GIO-Licence stage, UncleSam, Dragon_Griffin and I were required to find 50 caches in a day, with each needing to be more than 1km apart. This required a complicated plan including an Excel spreadsheet, many hours spent searching geocaching.com, and measuring distance on Google maps in order to find quick, park & grab caches that hadn't already been found by any of the 3 of us (and weren't likely to result in DNFs as they had been found recently). We also had to lock in a day that fit around 3 people's busy schedules. But eventually, all obstacles were overcome, planning was complete, and the day arrived. That day was today. So caching bags were packed, coffee was consumed (yup, that was me ) and we all met at my place for an early start.
Another nice, quick find here- only passed by one car while here, and luckily they didn't seem to care what we were up to on the side of the road!
Thanks nzkites.... cache #45 of 50! We're on the home stretch... off to the next on the list!!!

Was completing part of my Geo License with NewLynFam & Dragon_Griffin where we had to find 50 caches in one day, but they must be 1km apart from each/all caches done that day. The problem when doing this with 3 people, and 2 of them have done a few around the country it made it a little harder.
We enjoyed our day traveling around. Please forgive me for the generic logs, but was a long day.
Thanks for supporting my addiction.

As part of my current geolicence challenge I needed to grab 50 caches in 1 day more than 1km apart. I hatched a plan with NewlynFam and Uncle Sam for a road trip to complete this challenge and with the cache route in hand we set off on our mission.
This was number 45 for the day out of 50 with no DNFs! Once at GZ this was a nice quick find as I've found quite a few in similar hiding places TFTC!

We had been visiting family in Huntly and heading home to Auckland with purply and darthcacher1. We decided to collect a few caches on our way home. A nice quick find here

Wandering back to car when a kind motorist stopped to ask if I was ok !

All quiet on the road this morning, Lovely views over the waikato (and other places) are what geocaching adventures are all about. A quick find, Cheers.
The weekend in Hamilton is done, time to find a few caches on the way to the airport.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Out for a very pleasant day of geocaching. A bit blustery, but this a nice backroad with a lake and everything.

Seeing so many caches listed on the way to te kauwhata prompted this drive. Our initial plan to do a hike in the kaimais was dampened by today's rain. Day 17 of my current streak. Tftc
2010 Pulled up at GZ and was waiting for traffic when a car stopped and asked if I was looking for a lost dog as they had found one. What I was looking for had not been found by ne at the time but was as soon as they drove off.
Checked while passing through the area today, cache in place and waiting for next finders.
TFTC! 2nd cache of yours found today - nice & quickly this time. At first I thought oh no! There's no hint! But this time my eyes were open and I was in redemption mode from my amateur searching at last GZ! Cheers for placing these caches. Nice camo on this one too!
Out and about for a spot of caching and a drive in the country this morning. A good way to make use of the fine weather before work this afternoon I say. Parked up next to GZ and made a super quick find here, in the obvious spot. Cheers for the smiley!
Heading south to Morrinsville with a few stops along the way. It was good to get off the main highway. Much more pleasant along here. TFTC
out and about caching while heading south for an event. nice wee hide and yes another lovely smilie
On a short road trip with tmann421. Enjoyed the area collecting caches along the way.

Eeww yes it's very brown, and flowing the opposite way than I expected! Cache all good, till a cockroach jumped out of it onto my arm! Arrrrrrrrrrggghh
Decided to take a detour on my way back to Auckland to get some more finds. TFTC
I was off further down the Waikato today to catch up what is new in the caravan industry at the show on at Mystery Creek. It was a little foggy this morning when I got here. There were two vehicles in a nearby paddock but the occupants were looking the other way while I signed the log.
Cheers for the cache.

Lots of brown polluted water at Long Swamp, an enjoyable rural drive regardless, many thanks for the cache placement.
Saturday arvo drive and cache - getting out of the house while the weathers good!
