Logs
Quite a few muggles around but luckily none near gz so we could sit and have a little look around without drawing attention. We had to use tott to extract from hiding hole. Log tricky to open by hand, but again, no problem if you come with the right tott. A nice camo here, tftc.
Out with geodog and himself on a blustery winter day for some light caching. We found this one but couldnt extract. Messaged CO who was super prompt with a reply and gave permission to log. TFTC
Second find in New Zealand with glory glory to Georgia we signed as K $ and GG2GA. Love the hide and the areas just gorgeous. Signing off from VA, USA.
This was a challenging find in the fading light, but thankfully between ducking muggles and searches of GZ, I did manage to locate the cache. Brilliant camo, FP added for that. Thanks for another great hide!
Incredible Hide and camo! It was hard to retrieve but worth it in the end.FP from us
**#19,330**We remember having attempted this one once or twice before, but I note no DNF logs, probably because it is usually too busy with muggles to have a good search, tonight the place was substantially less populated and GZ free of muggles to allow a good search, it wasn't required as I spotted it almost straight away, very well execute hide, one that took longer to extract than it did to find.TNLN TFTC
11:52The Swiss cacher family with Spiess, J_walk, MsSophie and Drayah visited also New Zealand and this cache. TFTC!

Another great weekend in Auckland with Lis's Crew to complete this months challenge and find a few extra caches in and around Milford.
This cache was on our Sunday afternoon walk today and what a great hide to start our walk. TFGC

Yvettetb and I are down in Auckland again for a geocaching weekend. We had a great day today at the event then collected all the different types needed for the souvenir around Auckland. That was a sucessful outing and although rain constantly threatened it only spat on us occasionally.
The forecast for Sunday wasn't much better. As luck would have it we had another dry and productive day. We even managed to get 5 ftfs in Whangarei to finish our weekend off.
I was keen to clear out some of the Takapuna Milford area today. We parked by the rock cache and went for a big loop walk around the whole Milford area. The description was very long on this one and the desire to head north for my ftf attempt meant I skim read the page. This led to a false idea of the hide as we searched for an attractive thing in a black hole. We were just beginning to read it properly when I spotted the cache. Very nicely done. Thanks for another one of your caches

First attempt was a reconnoiter and a DNF, didn’t try to hard tbh as lots of muggles.
Second attempt was working out which way was south to nail the find quite easily but no way of getting it out.
Third attempt was with a pair of big ass pliers but a pen that didn’t work and a battle with big ass ants that liked their little black hole.
Fourth attempt…halle….f%#*…lujah. The stars aligned for this belated solstice discovery.

Took a lot to get the cache out of its place. Took a good ten mins with tools. Keys & tweezers! But got it in the end

Amazing hide!!! Wish I could sign it! Well done on crafting it. Coordinates 6QM9+59F Auckland
Top is corroded shut so we couldn't extract the log to sign, hence the photo. We lived near here 20 years ago and travelled 12000 miles to return for a nostalgic stroll. TFTC.
Persistence paid off here - found it eventually, struggled to get it out, the log is too wet to sign so took a photo. TFTC
Found it! Wasn’t intention to look for caches but here we are. Was definitely not accurate on gps and just about to give up when spotting it as we were walking. Thank you!
Great find, well hidden with amazing camo. Managed to find it fast enough after reading previous logs and reading the hint properly!
Despite its invisible interior and thanks to a good hint, KR got pulled in to the singularity after some considerable time spent in orbit. Quantum mechanics theory was supported rather than that of Einstein, as the log was signed, rather than that information being destroyed. Obviously we somehow managed to stay the right side of the event horizon as we were able to return and I am logging this from the safety of the lounge sofa. I can confirm that I absorbed some of the electromagnetic radiation but don't think it was in the form of light as I wasn't bright enuf to find the black hole myself. However several hours since the find, I'm still radiating. This is taking the form of smug vibes of reflected glory for having successfully visited and returned from GZ. Oh and the kite surfers were having a brilliant time. Tftc
This one took a bit of looking, but in the end the hint was good. The coords however were about 20m out by my GPS. A fav point for the hide. Nice and quiet at GZ, we stood and watched some kite surfers take off (literally). Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I are in Auckland Auckland for a break and we are exploring the region while we are based here. Today we cruised to finish off the Mega beaches Ad Lab. We had four still to do. We had another great day out, with rain threatening most of the day.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Nice n easy fond here, just needed to wait for the muggles to walk on by, this took about 10mins lol, lots of walkers around today even with rainy weather.

Spent a long time trying to find it but couldn't because we dont know what white pipe (there was 3)
Had a few looks for this but each time the black holes drew us in. Then last night I suddenly saw the light, and paid attention to what I'd read in the description. This evening was well prepared, flip flops on, dog lead in hand and dog poo bags in pocket, only thing I forgot was the tide. Luckily the lack of beach meant there were fewer muggles to get in the way. And with the sun going down and the moon coming up I spotted the cache straight away.
Got here with what we thought was enough light to search without torches but lost light fast!! Started messaging the CO when Gidgetster yells "got it!!". A very fun find! TFTC
After lots of fumbling in the dark with torches and TOTT with The Foxes and The Sheep 8 we finally found it. TFTC.
We were looking in the wrong place to start but figured out where it was quickly after moving to the next location. TFTC (S+C)
Phew!! Took a while to spot it, and then had to wait an age to grab! Was getting quite impatient esp as sun was rapidly setting TFTC
Have done some research and checked in with some previous searchers/finders for this one before coming back today after Fridays DNF attempt. Seems the tide was in the same position as then and pushing up across the sand nicely, though dry feet for me, fore shore. After a careful check of all that needed to be checked I spotted the container and set about extracting, nice one. It was only when replacing did I note an item I could have held to remove and replace it easier. Thanks for a nice cache here G_2, another goodie and deserving of the praise laid upon it.
Long time lurker/watcher, first time DNF-er. Not my first visit here but nice and quiet at high tide so had a go after recent finds. Struck out (again), going to need a bigger goat!
It sure blended in well.. took 3 of us a while. Was further from co ords than we expected.
But definitely a fave.
Thanks...

Found myself with an unexpected free afternoon today, so came up to Milford to try and get a few more of the caches around the area. This one was a quick find since I knew what to look for, but I was still surprised at how well it blended in. TFTC!
Back up in Auckland for the long weekend. Enjoying the sun at the beach while we wandered to this cache. Beach pretty quiet but people happened to be sitting chilling a few meters from cache. Lucky it was spotted quickly without them noticing. Nicely created cache
Thanks for placing the cache G-2.

Out with NZ Travellers and NewlynFam for a walk from Long Bay to Devonport (although we only made it to Takapuna as we ran out of time with all the stopping along the way ).
Started at the wrong white object but once we realised the coordinates may have been slightly out we corrected our 'gz' and soon spied the very clever camo'd cache.
Thanks for the cache - fav point for the camo here - its fab and really fits into its surroundings!

Coordinates a bit off but followed the hint and soon found the cache. Cool camo, tftc.
Found a white hole, found a black hole, found a likely hiding place but no sign of a cache! I nearly rang you G-2, but will check some more tomorrow - cheers anyway!
What a gorgeous day to have a look for this one.Previous logs about GPS bring out helped- 20m or so...
Stood back, scanned the area and there we were. Signed SITM. Awesome camo as usual.

Out today to continue my Takapuna to Milford beach walk. Easy find once the correct white hole was located. Love the camo. A fav from me. Thanks for hiding G-2
Took us a while to locate the correct white hole and then even longer to get it out!
Found on a nice weekend stroll along the beach. We were looking at the wrong place first. But after we found the right hint item, the cache was soon in hand. Cool cache, cool Camo.
Wow that one took us a while it wasn’t until we gave up on stealth and a lovely gentleman recognised what we were upto and gave us a hint! If your seeing this lovely man thank you very much and thankyou for the cache
What a brilliant cache to find on International Palindrome Day 02/02/2020. The dogs were in 7th heaven on this beach on which the dogs nearly out numbered the people. F/p obviously!
Had a fair idea where to look. Took a bit then Dot spotted it. Nicely camo. Tftc
Lots of rocks to check, but found it pretty quickly. Lovely day for a walk. Thanks
Was surprised to make a qwik find here-good hint def helped& loved the description-tftc
First cache for the day on a walk from Castor Bay to Takapuna along the waterside. This on was spotted by one of our non caching friends when we decided to ignore the GPS and focus on the hint. The GPS proved flakey today which is our excuse for not finding others although we were only looking for a short time at each.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Seems Milford fits the bill as close enough to work, sort of, provided I make a quick find, its all good, to get there and back within 30mins sort of. Anyway my powers of observation must have been on full alert today. Absolutely gobsmacked to do a quick scan and spot this one. Yay awesome camo for the spot. Always nice to visit Milford Beach. Lots of great family memories here. SL. TFTC.
Had a DNF on this last time. Found straight away this time with the hint. It was 17m away from the coords though.....
Had an appointment in Milford after work, so popped down to the beach to see if I could find this cache. Spotted it quickly thanks to the hint, thanks. Logbook is full.
Similar story here. Had here DNF so this is my second visit at the place. Reading previous logs , pictures did not help. Why? For some reasons got it at the end by 22m off .... Went for a nice swim afterwards! Great hide when found it
We tried this one before in the dusk, without any luck. So we returned midafternoon this time. On a warm summer day this beach is full of muggles of course. Very relieved to have found this one on the second attempt, but the logbook turned out being full. Clever hide, tftc!
