###Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###
This geocache has been brought to my attention as being in need of an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache. See the [GCHQ Health Score](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713) process.
I agree that it certainly seems necessary to have it checked by the Cache Owner.

The cache owner needs to:

* Take action to restore the cache or address any issues such as correcting the D/T rating.
* Re-enable the cache by posting an Enable log
* Post an Owner Maintenance log to advise what has been done, and to clear any Needs Maintenance attribute which is present.

Otherwise :
* Post a Note Log to request more time if necessary, or provide other information..
**Do not use an Owner Maintenance log for this, that is for use only **when you actually do something to repair the cache**.

Alternatively:

* Archive the cache, and remove any remaining geo-litter from the site.

In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page to await owner action by Blundo Busters and to take it off the playing board to prevent further geocaching community inconvenience.
[Please see the maintenance section of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines.](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance)
**I will check back in 30 days** to see that action has been by the CO.
If nothing has happened, I will assume that the cache has been abandoned and, unfortunately, I will need to Archive this cache.
*Caches archived because of lack of maintenance/abandonment will not be unarchived.*

The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is there, and in good condition, waiting to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.

Please see [my profile page](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?u=Balayang) for additional information.
Thank you

Forgot to log a DNF a few weeks ago, might be worth a check from the CO as it feels like this is a nationally significant cache! Wink

Third time back there. Can't find it. Argh. Checked all around the fence and inside all the holes. Unless it's been pushed too far up inside the fence hole?

Despite the lack of finds recently, I decided to give this a go after dropping some family to the airport.

Found the suggested parking reasonably easily and enjoyed the walk over.

But at the GZ, no luck.
I donned my caching gloves and stuck my fingers all around the green fence, but with absolutely no luck.

Given the length of time since the last find, a CO check is probably necessary.

On the lovely hot and sunny day, sevabo and I stopped here on no standing, sevabo acted as if she called on mobile while looked out for police when I searched for a good long while then I found it and logged it then we drove away without being caught from police! Note: the log paper is full and need replaced a new log paper. TFTH

I think the cache companion would have been jelly about this one. So photos were sent from GZ to ensure that would be the case. Plane spotting caches are a real treat so thank you!

With an earlier than expected end to today's work and a long wait before the flight home, I decided to see if I could get the steps up and grab a couple of caches as well Wink to kill some time. This was first and it took me a few moments before I finally put my fingies on the stash at 13:35.

With the biguns landing to the north today, I even got to see some planes at close quarters while I was searching. I hope no-one noticed me. Wink

TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Blundo Busters.

My last day in Oz after visiting Tassie for 12 days and 4 in Sydney. It’s been lovely here. And to top it off this is my 50th find. All pleased.
Had time to kill so headed off in search of this. Turning right at the airport member of staff showed me the way to a footbridge. From there just follow main road using the crossings.
Once at location took me 5 mins to locate cache. But it was a job to get it out . Magnet is strong.
Once out cache easily opened and signed.

I can always see this green spot on my geomap but have never been able to work out how to get to it.
That is until a Virtual Cache appeared at the airport and some info with that suggested parking near Tempe Reserve and walking across the footbridge and along the path. Well I had thought that footbridge was not accessible, but it is!

So after some exploring and meeting Dora near the oval I walked up to the footbridge and headed here.
I checked quite a lot of places before I had 'a better idea' and immediately had CIH. Although I was here quite a long time no planes came overhead. Three came through while I was doing my return walk though.

The logsheet has seen better days and will soon need replacing.

Have been home to Albury from Sydney but nothing new down there so looks I have just been in Sydney. Heading to my parents for a couple of days then a meeting at Coffs Harbour. Aim is to get to 2000 caches before I get home. Flight delayed by fog this morning but still over 1.5 hours at the airport. The new Virtual is closed on the weekend (so no FTF there) so options are starting to get limited. So walked up this way as the track got more and more rough. Red-whiskered Bulbul was a new one for the annual list and Cabbage White was the first butterfly for the trip.
At GZ quickly checked the obvious spots and decided it was warm enough to take the jacket off and get serious. Needed have bothered as it was in the next spot i tried. Signed log and just as I was about to return the cache a low flying plane came out in - interesting as i landed from the south.

After in Sydney the walk from our accommodation to this cache was welcomed but it sure gets dark early down here. We did some searching and finally discovered the sneaky hide. The additional hint is most helpful and persistence was important as well. TFTC

On my way back home I had plemty of time before boarding- so qhy not go find a cache. Once i found the right way from the airport back to GZ it was easily done. The hint is great XD Took me a while but as soon as I figured out, it was quite a quick find.

We are in Sydney for the weekend to attend a scuba diving conference. Today was our final day at the International Convention Centre, and caught the train to the airport later in the afternoon.

We had a bit of time to kill before our flight back home to Adelaide, and I needed some information for a Freddo Frequent Flier multi-cache at the international terminal, so I decided to go for a run (in the rain) and jogged past this traditional cache. I actually thought it would be an easy one and was even thinking of going for a few other caches across the river, despite the rain. However I ended up spending 30 min searching for this cache, and highly suspected its location, but nothing! I decided to message the CO and a few of the past finders in the hope of getting a quick message back and have a final search when I would come past GZ 10-15 min later on my jog back to the domestic terminal.

In this time, I had one reply, that sort of confirmed my search already (which I hada lready triple checked). So I again checked 2-3 more times, and nothing. I searched the nearby vicinity just in case it may have gotten dislodged and sitting in the wet grass, but nothing. Consequently, I highly suspect it is missing (or stuck), and a CO visit is probably warranted to confim (or deny?) my suspicions. Bugger bugger, but it was an interesting location to see the planes landing above me!

Walked down the secret pathway towards the GZ. Took a moment to watch the planes in action. Wow. Keep an eye out for the frequent cyclists. Cache & log are in good condition. TFTC!

16-Dec-18
Getting to the GZ from the other side was more troublesome than finding the cache. We ended up went through a hole in a fence and walked across a car park to get here. TFTC.

16-Dec-18
We headed to this cache from the other plane spotter cache slightly further away from the runway. We could either walk the long way round or make our way through a hole in the fence north of the carpark. We decided to take the shorter route and were rewarded with safe passage to this cache. A bit of searching, some head scratching, some bicycle dodging and the cache was in hand. Great spot to watch the planes take off. I imagine it's even better watching them land from here as they'll be lower. TFTC!

My travels today took me to Sydney for a layover. I looked and found this cache was close to the airport and thought I better grab a cache since I did not know when I would next make it back to Australia. I got my visa and went to grab this one. Blundo Busters I found your cache Plane Spotter - Joyce Drive on 11/6/18, 1:02 pm. This is my find 2004 and find # 2 today. Parked at the recommended spot and walked down to GZ. Took some time to locate, in the meantime a few planes flew over me. After the find, hung around to watch a few more planes. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN

23-Apr-18
This cache has been on the radar for some time, mainly due to the fact that I didn't know where to park. Today I took the plunge and parked in the Krispy Kreme car park and did the long walk around. The co-ordsfor the cache are spot on, every plane flew directly above gz. The search took longer than it should have due to the amount of muggle traffic, on foot, on bicycles and in planes. With a strong north easterly breeze blowing the planes were queuing up to land. All in all it was a lot of fun. TFTC Blundo Busters.

03-Feb-18
As I arrived there was a group milling at GZ. I paused to see if they reacted to me, but they appeared to have just stopped to watch the planes. I did likewise. They left a couple of minutes later.
Located the cache after a little search, but getting it was a little more difficult. I employed some local resources to help.
Signed log and returned the cache in time to watch another plane fly over.

After helping YGAT to the airport in the early morning, I decided to take a walk to pick up a few caches in the region. This was the first I came to. With the recent DNFs and the fact it hadn't been found since February I almost didn't bother, but I checked a couple of the most likely places and it was in the second one.

Nice one, thanks Blundo Busters.

29-May-17
Looking for something to fill in time whilst not studying, it was suggested that I finally get around to logging THOSE caches long found but never logged. Some even have funny stories of being visited not only once or twice, but a few even have had a third or fourth visit before realising I've been there done that. The date is as near to the correct day the cache was found. So sorry for the generic and late log. JABs.

Strolled over from T1 on our way to Noo Ziilund. Spent 20 minutes sticking my rude finger up to the 2nd knuckle of every hole for 10m either side of the centre line. No cachey thing just a lot of spider webs. Freddo has a sad face now.

15-Feb-17
My last cache in Australia - but only for a couple of weeks as I will be back. Messed up the flying time and had an extra hour to spend, so this cache came in handy and I went for a walk.
Thanks a lot for the hide, Blundo Busters

Cache is still there, contents and container in good condition

Up from down south to drop the geofamily off at the airport as they jet off to Perth for a week. I'll miss them... Wait well that means more geocaching after they have left. So a good few hours in Sydney caching was an afternoon well spent. Such a busy place unfortunately. Thanks to all the cache owners that had caches I visited today. Tftc tnln.

I was planning on parking at the nominated parking area, but on approaching the cache in my car, I snuck a much closer quick sneaky car park just over a newly constructed bridge. So then it was just a short walk back to the cache area. On approaching GZ I spotted a likely hiding area. Started my search and would you believe the cache turned up in the first place I felt. A very clever sneaky hide, and I did need a bit of courage, not knowing what might turn up . But fortunately I felt something cache-like and not somethng spider-like. Signed the log, then a quick dash back to the car. It certainly is a great place to spot planes. TFTC Wink

OCW with Mrs A today.
Parking close by is definitely out for this one. Walk or ride is the go. We parked in nearby Tempe Rec Reserve and walked the distance. A nice walk and I have driven Qantas Drive to work since it was first opened way-back-when and never walked this path. 34 for take-offs and 07 for landings so no excitement here this afternoon.
Once at GZ we thought there could only be a limited number of possibilities. We were wrong...spent sometime exploring. And after checking a number of places I finally spotted it...yes spotted it (not that it was out of place). Retrieved and did the signing. TFTC Blundo Busters.

Found it today on the way home along the cycle path from the mystery cache 22243. This cache is not far from my place, but it alwayst looked like it would be difficult to get to. Turns out it isn't, thanks to convenient cycleways. A favourite point from me because I liked the location, and I like a cache that is easier to get to by bike than by car.

Another one done. Woo Hoo! I love the challenge of the geocache hunt - read the notes, decipher the cache requirements, and go searching for the hide. This is an amazing world-wide game of hide and seek. I love it! I also enjoy caching with my family, and meeting fellow cachers. It really is a small world when I read over cache logs.

**Thanks go to Blundo Busters for placing this cache and maintaining it**. It's a great contribution to the Geocaching community and it is much appreciated. I enjoyed finding this one at 12:22:43 PM between domestic flights on my way from south to north. I took the train over first to pick up another waypoint near the Int'l terminal for a D/T 5/5. Then walked the long way around back to the domestic terminal, picking up this cache on the way.

After a 10 minute search I started to walk away, but remembered to stay determined, so I went back and found it within a few minutes. Previous logs helped,

This cache was another "Found it" for me. TFTC! Cheers. *Jump Pilot* Cool

On an early morning run to pickup friends from the international airport this morning, the minimal public holiday traffic meant I had arrived earlier than planned - not to worry, I had prebooked parking for several hours, and knew there were a couple of caches to fetch. Which I did. I enjoyed the leisurely stroll here and back to the airport, and the cache was quickly located without any problems. Thanks for the find in a fun little spot.

Tftc,
Left home an hour early to make sure we had time to comlpete this cache.
Left our driver in the car and went for a walk. Nana nel came up with the goods as I was looking in all the wrong spots. To early for plane spotting.
This find is very important as it will allow us to complete the Challenge caches where you find 2 caches on the same day more than 5000 & 10000 Km's apart. Now for the 17 hour flight backward in time.
Visited a group of trackables.

Found, this did take a little searching before locating it, signed the log and replaced, now off to the airport to complete 2 caches in the same day 10,000 klms apart. Thanks to Blundo Busters.

On a cycle ride with some muggle mates and one wants to detour to look at new bridge along Airport Drive. Knowing this was nearby, I stopped while they went ahead. Followed the hint and soon managed to have the right feeling for this one. Geotweezers on standby and log is signed and back in place. Showed them on the way back what I was so excited about! Maybe a convert?

Wow! The perfect place to watch the planes coming in to land. They are so close and the noise of the engines! Thanks for getting me here. I thought of my geobuddies, PDU and A44, who used to work at Qantas some years ago.

19-Feb-16
Low D/T rating, suggested “closest” parking… sounded like an easy grab, so decided to give it ago today as I was passing through the area. Maybe it was the temps over 30 and the beating sun but the 45 min return walk felt a lot longer! Search itself also took longer than it should have (partly having to stop every time a muggle rode past and pretending to be plane spotting) but eventually isolated the only place a container could be hidden. A comment in a previous log helped get to best access point for stealth but still tricky angle to extract.

Up in Sydney today for work, how could I NOT catch up with SeeMyShell ?
We planned to grab a cache and a coffee and this was the one.

Found at 11:42am.

I made really heavy work of this one. I needed a cache to keep my streak alive for a 27th consecutive day and this one had been catching my attention for a while being not too far from work. I was on my lunch break so I didn't have a hell of a lot of time to muck around.

I began my journey at Tempe Park on the other side of the canal, before this I didn't realise there was a waypoint which started on the East side of the cache. Nevertheless I got to work. I walked and then jogged over the canal as I closed in on GZ, I didn't realise how far away I STILL was form the cache (about 750m when I checked) thinking I was only a couple hundred metres away.

I put the pedal to the metal and upped the pace, running in the scorching heat on a 34 odd-degree day.

To my surprise, once I finally got there I struggled to come up with anything. I was there for long enough that a few planes passed over my head so I suppose that was a bonus in some respects. After about 15 minutes I had cache in hand, what a mission.

I was running short on time so I began my sprint back to the car. Enjoyed the adventure. Signed log, thanks for the cache Blundo Busters

I attempted to do this cache last Tuesday (10th) as I had a midday booking at the ITB for my ADA (Airside Drivers Licence) renewal, which comes around every two years. I always book a test in the middle of the day as at that time there are much less aircraft to deal with coming & going from the terminals, and therefore much less chance of "stuffing it up" and having to do a retest.

Anyway I had allowed plenty of time to do the cache, arriving at the Coward Street end of the Alexandra Canal Cycleway about 10:40 AM, but was simply unable to find a parking spot. Drove up & down Coward Street, and around the other nearby streets, but gave up after about 20 minutes and disappointingly headed off to the ITB, hoping it wasn't a bad omen for my test (it wasn't, I passed Smile).

Well today I returned for another attempt at the cache, after finishing my early morning shift over at the Cooks River OPS Centre, and what a contrast to last Tuesday. There was heaps of parking spots in Coward Street and I managed to park the geomobile about as close as you could legally park to the start of the cycleway.

Set off along the 800 metre stretch of cycleway and soon arrived at GZ. The wet weather was keeping the muggle count low, so I had no trouble conducting the search without being observed. Checked a couple of likely spots, then probed something interesting with my fingers, and it was CIH. Extracted & signed the log sheet before returning everything as found.

Then spent another 10 minutes or so taking photos of aircraft passing overhead and landing on Runway 16 Right. Thanks Blundo Busters for highlighting such a good aircraft spotting location, and for the cache.

29/10/15. 9:38 AM. Cache #3149. Streak day #494.
1st of 3 finds (and a DNF) today - Mascot, Barangaroo, Marrickville & Manly - I had an appointment in the city in the middle of the day so used it as a chance to clear out new caches dotted around the city's 10km.

I parked in the recommended street as close to the WP as I could and found it an easy way to get onto the Alexandria Canal cycle/walking path, with about 1km to the cache. It was a pleasant and peaceful enough walk; if only the canal was a little cleaner. Within a few hundred metres of GZ, I was concerned that the cache was going to be fenced off as they are constructing a bridge over the canal to connect Joyce Drive to Tempe, but luckily enough the fencing ran out again and GZ was clear.

However, I did feel quite exposed to passing muggle traffic, especially as I was in business clothes, so not wanting to stick around too long, I caved in and phoned a friend. Ah, I had the right idea; just needed to extend my method by about 5 metres west. A typical BB hide. Thanks for getting me here; it's a great place to watch planes.

Drove to St Peters, then a train to the city for the aforementioned appointment. After which, my next cache was "Barangaroo Reserve Rocks". TFTC.

OMG We hid a nano exactly here a couple of years ago but were told it was airport property. We figured getting permission from the airport would all be too hard, so we left it there. If anyone finds a 2nd container, it was left by us. Lol. Great spot for a cache. Well done on getting it published
