This is the Dallas Aquarium at Fair Park, part of the Dallas Zoo. The aquarium was closed today when I got there but I went ahead and got my pictures just the same. Hope you enjoy them. Where else but Texas would you have a seahorse rodeo?
This aquarium can be found in Stanley Park, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. TFTC and Happy New Year!
This is the aquarium located in Niagara Falls, NY. I remember visiting here a lot when I was a kid Here is their website for more information http://www.aquariumofniagara.org/

We made a big detour on our trip to visit family in order to stop here at the Berkshire Natural History Museum and Aquarium to be able to log a find for this locationless cache.
The entire lower level of the Berkshire Natural History Museum features an incredible diversity of under water life, from a Berkshire Pond to the Ocean's Coral Reefs. A highlight of the aquarium is a pair of touch tanks to invite visitors to gently touch inhabitants from the tidal pools of Coastal New England.
The aquarium was a very busy place since school is currently out and today's weather features drizzly rain and fog! We'll have to return some other day when we have more time in order to see more of the museum! Thanks for the cache.

The Octopus's Grarden in Berkeley is more than a store. It describes itself as a "haven for underwater life" -- with about one hundred large tanks and nearly 500 species of marine animals, from cichlids to clams, sharks to barracudas, catfish to coral, saltwater to freshwater and everything in between.
Kelly's Pond in the Bonneville area, Oregon. Sturgeon and trout and other local fishies
This octopuses garden is closed for the season, but is an interesting place. It is located at 1st beach in Newport RI, and is special because they collect only native species to put on display. They have a touch tank and encourage children interactions. Usually have a "petting" shark too!
Located in Dubuque, Iowa. This Museum and Aquarium features much about the Mississippi River.
We found this nice Eisbär in the Area from the Aquarium Wuppertaler Zoo.

I saw this one in the Opryland Mall, Nashville TN. This is a resteraunt that has one heck of a fish tank. Thanks.
Inside of this building are bunches of aquariums. They are so large that people in scuba gear enter the tank a couple of times daily for cleaning and feeding. There are sharks and rays too. Beautiful place on the Kemah Boardwalk in Kemah Texas USA.
This is the Zoo / Aquarium im Muenster / Germany.
It is a really nice location to visit with children all year around.

A gun museum to name afew, and of course an Aquarium with all the live fresh water fish from North America There are many large tanks filled with lots of fish amoung which is the biggest shovelhead Catfish I've ever seen. This is the aquarium at Bell Isle in Detroit MI. It is the oldest aquarium in the United States.
This is Chester Zoo and Aquarium in Cheshire, England. I have included an extract from the site map showing the location of the aquarium within the site. The Zoo concentrates on preserving endangered species and has had many breeding successes. (sorry for the late log - catching up before the end of the year. Cheers MaxKim.
This is the Gulf Wold aquarium in Panama City Beach, FL. They are best known for the dolphin shows they do, but they also do a lot of sea animal rescue and research. They rescue and rasie everything from dolphins to sea turtles to seals and sea lions. It was a cold and wet day today, but as I was taking the pictures I could hear the show going on.
I found a octopus garden which is most interesting because it is built into an former WWII flak tower in the Esterházypark. It was founded by the "Gesellschaft für Meeresbiologie" in 1958. It shows more than 3000 live animals, mostly from the Mittelmeer (Adria). It is located in Vienna, Austria. For more information visit http://www.haus-des-meeres.at/

Here is the Florida Aquarium in Tampa. In addition to the older displays, you can now dive with sharks!
This is the nicest aquariums I have seen. From the outside it looks like a hugh hotel complex. I had to take three shots to get the whole building in. It is located in Jenks, Oklahoma.
This is the octopus' garden of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. This aquarium has multitude of different species of fish. In its interior an enormous swimming pool lodges the sharks and others fierce species.
Greetings.

This is the Downtown Aquarium in Denver, CO. The old Ocean's Journey has been logged, but not the new aquarium!
The Scott Aquarium located at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, NE. This is an awesome aquarium with a tunnel through the main tank. You can watch the sharks and mantas swim over you.
Found this locationless while doing another cache. This aquarium is a bit different than most. It's run by The River Project on Pier 26 in NYC. From their website: "Visitors get a close-up introduction to hundreds of local fishes and invertebrates living in river water circulating through a 3,000-gallon aquarium system."
I have found the Seacoast Science Center and Aquarium in Rye, New Hampshire. This is a small facility but you can find an on line reference at http://www.portsmouthnh.com/visitors/museums.html I have photos of some of the exhibits inside. I don't think there are any tanks over 1000 gallons.
SEACOMBE AQUARIUM
This aqaurium is part of the ferry terminal for travelling across the river Mersey from Wallasey to Liverpool. In the same complex is Play Planet, a soft play area for kiddies, and an adjacent building has the new "Spaceport" attraction
I was surprised no one had logged this aquarium as there are many cachers on Wirral and the aquarium has been here for many years

So this aquarium has been logged before but it recently was renoved and had a $40 million renovation. They have a new website as well as a new name. I've included a picture of the front with my GPSr. If this is not acceptable, let me know and I will remove it and make it a note! TFTC!

This one has been logged in 2003. Detroit, Michigan. The reason I am revisiting this one is to report the sad news that it is now closed for good. This is increased by the fact that this was the oldest opperating Aquarium in the United States. It was also credited with the raising of freshwater Stingrays. The same Stingray that may be at your Aquariums. Politics was the demise, our mayor closed it, as he said because of costs. Of course he is the same mayor that has been seen on national TV for his major missuse of city funds. We really lost an important and beautiful peice of hostory.
This aquarium is part of the Allwetterzoo ('all weather
zoo') in Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
Like the rest of the zoo the aquarium is highly impressive,
thus I enjoyed today's visit thoroughly, despite the
high entrance fee. But it goes without saying that the zoo
is always worth a visit. The last time I was here was
during my childhood, so it was high time I came back...

This log is the add on to "Discombob's" log. This is a photo showing the entrance to the new aquarium, Ushaka Marine World"in Durban South Africa.
This aquarium is called Aqua and it´s located in Silkeborg, Denmark. It is the biggest freshwater-aquarium in North-Europe and there is a nice garden outside.
This is the New England Aquarium/Exploration Center in Newport RI. This "educational" aquarium does not have the massive tanks you can find at a larger facility, but instead relies on smaller exhibits and its seashore location. They run summer camps that stress the importance of conservation and preserving the environment.
Beijing Aquarium is located inside Beijing Zoo. It covers 35,000 square metres with a construction area of 42,000 square metres. The shape of the hall is that of a conch. There are relatively independent exhibition halls in the aquarium such as tropical rain forest wonder, a touch pool, a shark hall, whales and globefish gulf, and a marine theatre.
Westland Water World, in Hokitika, on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island. (recently renames the Westland Eco-Centre).
I am the principle fish suppler for this commercial aquarium (as a volunteer).
I also keep my own NZ native (temporate) marine fish in a 1,000 litre private aquarium at home, as well as having a few tropical marine fish in a smaller tank.
One of my voluntary tasks involves cleaning out their larger tanks (a shark tank and an eel tank with 2 metre long NZ native eels) 6 monthly, using SCUBA gear.

National Zoo and Aquarium. Canberra Austarlia
This place has a bit of a funny history. It started out life as a salt water aquarium about 15 years or so ago. The idea of opening a salt water aquairum in Canberra is a bit silly if you know how far away from the sea Canberra is. Anyway after a few yaers running that way it almost went broke so they changed it to a fresh water aquarium. Which allowed them to dispaly a lot of native fresh water fish. Unfurtuatly their wows contiune. The perspecs underwater aquarium tunnel that was the main feature of the place developed a crack and was condemned from use. So to brorden their appeal they devolped a zoo on the same ground. The zoo is a bit small but it still contains some interesting stuff.
The first photo contains the sign out the front. My GPS is hanging down upside down below the sign.
The second photo is of the enterance to the aquarium
