TwoEms arrived to find three tradies having a meeting right in front of ground zero. Luckily for us, they were finishing up for the day and bid their separate ways. We drove right up to itlazy usand even though we were now completely alone, we felt a little fishy getting out and fishing around here. It took us a short while, but a bit of keen eyesight gave it away. Thank you for the cachenow were off to visit our elders.

Sunny September Wednesday Watsonia walk. My pen died, so it has to be a pic. TFTC
I would have taken no notice of this before but now I see these little things that make you want to check for a cache. TFTC
To think this was all grassland a few years ago now its a busy car park but this cache is still here. But hard to get the log out. TFTC
#156 04/05/2024 @12:35pmKind of amazing the cache survives in that spot. But survive it does! TFTC
Afternoon walk of the dog and we were not sure if it would still be there given the new state of the area (thanks to the NEL) Found by Mr 12. TFTC
After a movie nearby I spied this cache and decided a little adventure was in order. All good at GZ.Thanks to BaLuke for the fun and the adventure.
Had to pop out late at night tonight to find a cache and keep our daily streak alive. Took me a minute to find the cache because of it being so dark out, but eventually found it and signed the log. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache BaLuke!
Love the fishing concept here. A nicely created cache that's well camoed. Thanks BaLuke
Ridiculously easy find after too long looking on the wrong side. Log is cactus at bottom of cache and needs replacing. Thanks: David
The tree I got to was covered with bees,so I left with a dnf. Will come back when there are no bees
The cache was quickly located as I pretty much walked into it. There was no height issues for me. As the previous finder said the log is pretty well jammed down the container. Even with a bit of persuasion it wasn't able to be dislodged.
Tricky little hide, and the log was well and truly stuck in the cache. Photo sent to CO. Tftc
I wondered if I could get to this one, due to the massive construction project taking up a lot of the reserve. It was no problem however as I simply walked up towards Greensborough road and came in from that end. A quick find in the early morning, a nicely decorated container. TFTC (*did not bother grandparents nearby)
Re visit to this little beauty, left a trinket , it’s a fun hide.
Nice sunny winters day.
Nice sunny winters day.
Today's plan was two fold. To attend the event in Bundoora and to get more than 17 caches in the Banyule LGA to complete the 20 geocaches in the Banyule LGA. Pleased that I completed both, plus 2 other challenges too. Got a new Tree climb cache in a new LGA and a personal challenge of finding a Muzza Puzzle Mania geocache.
Was just on reach without climbing or needing a ladder.
Thanks for the cache baluke

Not where I first expected.
Congratulations to my partner on gaining her 100th tree climb attribute with this cache. [^]
Targetted for it's treeclimb attribute, catnap777 and I were a little surprised by the scene before us at GZ. Well, I guess it is in a tree, and it did encourage us not to widen our search to somewhere more climbable but a whole lot less geocacher friendly.
TFTC Baluke.

Cache found and log signed with dalerious .
A weekend away to Whittlesea, then onto Melbourne for two events on the Sunday was on the agenda.
We were looking forward to getting out and about as usual, and like always had quite an extensive list to keep us busy .
Onto Melbourne for our overnight stay. We got here early enough to target a couple of caches with particular attributes .
Thank you BaLuke for providing this trad. We promise we didn't disturb the residents .

Many thanks for the cache. Need to get to the cache from the Greensborough Highway end because the other end is blocked for the roadworks on the Greensborough highway.
Today I’ve caught the train to Watsonia to see what this part of town has to offer with regard to geocaching. It’s not a part of Melbourne that I’m familiar with.
First cache here, and the hardest part of this one was crossing the Greensborough Highway.from the station. An easy find once the GPS settled, and the cache and log are in good condition.
Thanks for the hide baluke.

Arriving near GZ I wasn’t sure whether I would be able to access this one.
Fortunately luck was on my side and it was still easily available to the public. I signed the log and continued in my way.
Thanks baluke for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Bit of construction in the area. I assume it is for the new tunnel project. Little fella on my shoulder sorted the cache situation out. Cheers
On the walk in I took the time to peruse a few ligs.
Oh. Up! Right...
I had figured out where this one was hidden and so it was simply a case of dropping by for a quick find.
***That's my story and I'm sticking to it!***
Finding caches that aren't currently cut off by flood waters.
Headed up to Whittlesea after grabbing a snag in Mernda. Picking up a few different types on my way back.
One of a few that were found this morning.
Thanks Baluke.

A quick find and I wasn't vertically challenged.
Council, or another instrumentality, is carrying out major works in the linear park. The cache is outside their safety fencing, but can only be approached from the north. Use the walking track either from Elder Street or the Greensborough Highway service road. Tftc.

Having grabbed the Elder Gas cache yesterday, PrezDough and I made our way here finally once we could find a suitable way to bring the geowheels trough these dead end streets that are prolific through the area.
Initially it started off poorly as there was a Muggle hanging around the power line towers. I made to check something in my footwear and couldn’t locate the cache whilst doing so.
I reverted to past logs and realised we may have been on the wrong side of a 2m wall.
Quickly redirected ourselves and was happy to see we were well shielded from Muggles and the cache was spotted easily.
We added our names and then back to the wheels for a successful hunt.
The cache, container and log are in excellent condition.
I visited 5 TB.

A lovely day for a spot of after-work caching with Geoturtle37.
Wandered down to where GZ was. Had a look around for a while before reading some logs and then realised we needed to be on the other side.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, baluke

Ended up on the wrong side of the fence because we thought the other side was private property
Found this one on the second go. Left a small treasure in there for whoever finds it next. Harvey says it was super tricky. The clue tricked us but we got there in the end. No treasure there but we've left some behind.
Had been saving this one for a lockdown walk. Now that we are in Lockdown#6 () having a local cache to grab puts a smile on our faces, along with a smiley on our map. TFTC
Catching up on some late logs. This had me on the wrong side of the fence (my fault). That sorted and all was good.
Thanks BaLuke
Thanks BaLuke
Found with two of my friends who have never been geo before! Awesome spot! a fav
Not found at 2:10 pm.
Today we headed out to do a few Adventure Lab caches on the scooters and while we were there we would also look for whatever else we came across. It was a great afternoon out and about because the light rain stopped just when we started before lunch. We got a little too far from where we parked and I ended up having to manually push the scooter the last 1.5km back to the car because I didn't realise how much downhill riding we had done and misjudged the returning distance and had my first red battery light situation. I survived though so everything was ok.
The whole is area is fenced off at the moment, this should probably be temporarily disabled.
Thanks BaLuke for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

This was found by the bananas way back in the good old days and noticing that our report has yet to be written, it has now time to catch up.
Found on the 14th of June 2014 just minutes after it was published the bananas were lucky enough to find a blank piece of paper to record our visit.
Remember it well.
Fortunately we now seek mainly the really good ones.
And this was one of those.
Today we found it again.
It was equally difficult to find it today as all those years ago even though we can remember the detail.
That probably proves that experience counts for nothing and this sort of treasure will always provide a challenge over many years.
Thanks for the repeated memories. A favourite of course.
And
Hope your grandparents are still in good health.

At first I was looking around on the wrong side of the fence. after re-reading the description and going around to the other side of the fence I quickly made the find.

Haha went fishing and found this cute hide ...hello to your grandparents TFTC baluke
This little fish had us caught hook, line and sinker! A favourite point for us. TFTC BaLuke
Been here before and missed it, but this time the sun was just in the right place.
Watch out for ants!

I have been meaning to ride down the powerline track for some time, picking up the "Elder" series, but I am usually with a bikeriding group, who don't want to stop. A solo ride today fixed that. Took me a while, and as I stopped and pondered where to search next - there it was, staring at me!
This one eluded me for quite a while then I saw it staring at so obviously,I don't know how I missed it for so long TFTC
Another short walk under semi sunny skies from my parking spot, I wondered what this one would be and once at GZ the penny dropped and sure enough there it was! Glad the "park" was muggle-free as it could look a bit dodgy, but logbook safely signed and rehidden I headed back to the car, a bit sad that the series was over so quickly... Thanks BaLuke - a favourite point for the series overall and it's variety of hides (room for a few more?)

A quick find today as we were expecting something, but not quite like that. We stopped past on our way back from a few other geocaches down the hill to assist another team who were about to walk away with a DNF. The young daughter was very pleased when she finally spotted in (after a good hint or two).
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for this geocach here today.

###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED PLEASE**###
----------
I've noticed this cache is carrying a maintenance log which really does need to be addressed by the cache owner.
The guidelines indicated that periodic visits to check on the cache, as well as prompt attention to any logs that indicate there is a problem, are part of the [**cache owners responsibilities.**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) If you can't attend to the issue promptly, then you need to [**Disable it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235) - I have Disabled it for you this time.
**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) within 14 days,** so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?
You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:
- Check on the cache, repair and/or replace the cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (within 14 days). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. For ongoing issues (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days so as to keep everyone up to speed.
- If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I next look at the cache page, it is likely that I will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) it on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

Not just the buzz of the Greensborough bypass, there was also the crackle of the transmission lines on this hot dry day, the hum of the substation, and the occasional boom from jets overhead. It would have been pretty boring here if not for these. And for what it’s worth, there are a couple of random spots left to sign, but only a couple, and they are random. Thanks Baluke.
Found on the walk to Montmorency. Did wonder if I was looking at the right spot - then something caught my eye. TFTC BaLuke. Find 1 of 5 today.
I found it on a walk home from the station after looking for a couple of minutes. Nice hide, thanks.
