Good spot. And nice bit of history.

14-Oct-18
I have driven past this one many times, but today was a chance to stop. A quick find. Then I opened the container and the wind got hold of the log book (it’s blowing a gale out there today). That’s when the chase ensued. About three attempts and 20m of travel to retrieve the log sheet, I then signed it and returned it to its secret hiding spot.

Thanks for the cache postiegirl06.

Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Heading past while driving through the area for work and needed a break from driving and this cache was in the ideal place for a stop. Had a good idea where the cache might be so parked as close to GZ as possible. With the engine running I hopped out of the car and wandered over to GZ and located the cache in the first place I looked. Gotta love that. Extracted log signed and replaced. Have driven past this many times without really knowing what it meant. Now have the knowledge and the smiley.

Heading to York's today for a few days of rest, relaxation and caching.

Have been meaning to stop and do this one for a while and today was the day to get it crossed off the list. Unlike the usual wizzby I made sure I slowed down as I approached so I could pull off.

Found on the 04/08/2017 at 7:39:00 AM.

After a great caching road trip out to the Yorke Peninsula with J+J, we unfortunately met out half way point and had to start heading back home. We had another two power trails to complete on the way though.
After the heavy rain a couple of days earlier, the dirt roads were still soft but managable.
In the end we managed to find 158 caches and make our way back into VIC again. Tomorrow we have to cross back to NSW and hopefully still get our cache find count up.

Thanks for the all the caches.

Woo hoo, another June Long Week End is almost here. Yes it's only Thursday but after picking up mogni from the airport we started our trip from there. Smile Target for tonight is to get to Port Wakefield so we can get a head start on getting to Edithburgh tomorrow. Of course we just had to grab a few caches on the way. [^]
Almost there we stopped in here. Being after dark and a weeknight there was little traffic passing. The hardest part of doing this at night is the lights that illuminate the sign are soooooooo bright. I mean burn you retinas out bright. So bright in fact that we couldn't see the cache staring us in the face for quite a while. Red Face That's my excuse anyway. It was one of those head slap moments when we finally found it. Smile What noobs. Razz
Thanks postiegirl06 for the cache. Big Grin

29-May-17
With the June Long Weekend event coming up, and a cache or two to place by me, I wandered over to the Yorke Peninsula to do some reccy work and source some local information. I found this cache on the way and it broke up the drive perfectly. Cache was in good condition and found quickly. I found the first part of this bookmark some time ago while on another trip, thanks for bringing me to this interesting location.

This was find number 1 of 1 for the day for me. TFTC postiegirl06!

A week out before the Alice Springs Event, we decided to travel from Adelaide to Yorke Peninsula for our stay.
Due to the large volume of caches found and limited internet services I am doing a generic logs. The caches found were in different shape and sized and certainly took us to spots we normally would not have visited.

Thank you to all CO's.

Day Ten of our holiday, BettyBoo3747 and I are on the move again. Leaving Victor Harbor for Moonta.
We left early and got to Two Wells for morning tea and our first caches. Then doing the odd cache on the road as we rounded the Gulf of St. Vincent.
As we were coming from down south, this was really Investigate This (one).
When we eventually got through town the other one was easy!
Thanks, Robmc.

#11733. Day 10 of our SA holiday. After an early start from Victor Harbor we headed for Two Wells with our final stop Moonta. We picked up caches along the way as they popped up on the radar. A nice day of 20 finds and one DNF.

We investigated this one first as we were heading north. The log book is almost full - will need to be replaced soon. A nice welcome to Port Wakefield. A quick find and sign and in to town we go.

On our return to Port Wakefield, in the good company of Suscoe, after successfully conquering an ancient middle eastern icon, we left part of our teams to address domestic duties and we found this one before we all headed off to a celebratory meal at the Port Wakefield pub.

Suscoe enjoyed a delightful Saturday travelling around the upper regions of the Yorke Peninsular in the terrific company of Phetlern.
We found caches from Port Wakefield all the way across to the west close to Wallaroo and south towards Moonta and in Kadina.
It was a cold start to the day with some sunshine but that was soon to end as cloud moved in and the pleasant day became a little cool.
We found caches in the Pyramid series, various multi’s and a range of traditionals as we travelled around. Many were in good condition but there were a number of caches that were looking quite sad.
Thanks to postiegirl06 for creating these caches for us to solve and find

09-Jun-16
We had a lovely afternoon caching. trying to avoid the rain showers.

Today we travelled from, Moonta to Adelaide to drop off Muggle Vicki at the airport. So we did a few caches on our return trip from Adelaide back to Moonta.. I have travelled from Queensland to meet up with Muff1 for a Geocaching extravaganza on the beautiful Yorke Peninsular.

My sincere thanks to Muff1 for providing me with the opportunity to join them on this geocaching holiday.

A big thank you to all of the dedicated Cache placers who have made this possible.

This one gave us a good old belly laugh, as we got out of the car I mentioned that I believed that it was " -------" and Speedmistress thought that I meant something else. This put us in two different places. So as I had the cache in my hand and Speedmistress asked me what we were looking for I described the cache container in detailed, uhm got a laugh out of this.

First we must appologise for the generic logs.

We came to Yorke Peninsular with Speedmistress who hails from Queensland to cache our little hearts out and this we are doing.

We solved loads of puzzles prior to coming and with all the earth, multi, trads and puzzles there are here we were never lacking in variety.

When we found caches that needed repair we have done our best to do what was possible, unfortunately we have now rum out of spare containers, so no more repairs can be done. We have enjoyed the scenery, the walks, the animal life and the challenges that was encountered while traveling the Peninsular. Not all the caches have been attempted due to time restraints but those have been earmarked for future visits.
We also would like to thank Speedmistress for supplying our geocaching chariot.
A huge thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for us to enjoy.

Geo Nerds Yorke Peninsula caching exposition consist of Borisb&Natasha, Zobo04,De Ja Vu, KTCvic, Gonefishen07, Velocachu & Bounty Trackers.
Gonefishen07, Zobo04, Borisb&Natasha and myself Bounty Trackers left on Wednesday morning with one objective, to get Gonefishen07 cache finding count higher than KTCvic who was about 100 cache in front. We spent 2 days straight chasing caches all the way from Gippsland in Victoria to The York Peninsula in SA, where we finally got 8 caches ahead of KTCvic. The smile on Gonefishen face said it all ( I think the comment was made CATCH ME NOW Trenty ).

Along our journey we made a side trip to Gawler to get the multi Fort Knox cache which was on our hit list. What a brilliant cache. Well worth the detour. It will be getting a favorite point from me.
On Friday Velocachu, KTCvic & De Ja Vu graced up with there presents and it was time to start the Yorke Peninsula Geo Art Starting at Hook then Jellyfish, Fish, Anchor, some of Fish Tales,Sammy Starfish and most of the Boat, we then did Sally starfish, and the rest of Fish Tales and then finished with the leftover boat.

Milestone achieved

Velocachu 500
Zobo04 2000
Borisb&Natasha 2000
De Ja Vu 3000
KTCvic 4000
Gonefishen07 4000
Bounty Trackers 4000

Thanks to all the cache owners for the effects in placing such a great series we just loved it.

A BIG THANKYOU to Kate,Rob,Sioux,Katy,Trent,Leesa,Campbell & Zoe for a fun filled Easter long weekend, I had a great time with lots of laughs, thanks again.

It was with great excitement that I headed to South Australia with the Geo Nerds consisting of Gonefishen07, Bounty Trackers, KTCvic, de ja vu, Zobo04 & Velocachu.
I have never cached outside of Victoria, nor in a group and I was really looking forward to it.
Every single one of us achieved a very memorable milestone made even more special because they were achieved with very special friends.
As we worked through each geo art I was amazed how quickly we all fell into a rhythm like well oiled machines, finding more caches in a day than I had ever thought possible.
Thank you so much to the many COs for the time and effort in placing their caches. I'm sure it enables many groups like ours to get together, have lots and lots of fun and form life long friendships, all in the quest for little pieces of treasure.
