Yes it's gone already Will find a different container and a slightly different hiding place soon.
Failed to find this cache. Im afraid it may have been washed away by the recent river swelling.
This one defeated me. Spent ages looking and had no luck at all. After reading through previous logs, it looks like we're not the only ones to have problems. We will return...
Sadly another DNF here for me. Searched and searched but couldn't find the thing. Saw that a few people said it was well away from the co-ords so expanded my search but still couldn't find. Can't win them all!
Again, the clues led us astray. Thescoobydoos finally made the find. Geo-pup had a great time sniffing and splashing about until he got a beesting. Nice spot. TFTC
Tftc. Hint had me a little puzzled, but searched the area, and cache was spotted.
Took longer than it should have but finally found it. Someone had left a cigarette/joint butt in there. Now I can say I've found a butt, a condom and some panadol in caches.

Nice hiding spot! A bit of a hassle getting it though. Watch out for the prickles!
Previous finder of this cache. On my walk past today did a check and could not locate the container in its hide hole. May need a check up
Cache Nr. 3799
Took us a moment to figure out the hiding place.
Thanks for the box Quiri

This is one of my favourite spots along the river. When we got here someone had left this container on the wall and there was nothing inside. As we walked a little further along the path we managed to find some bits and pieces that we think we think had blown along from inside. So we replaced the whole thing where we assume it was hidden before. Owner may want to check.
Found it with "FrenchSuperTrampNiko" on our walking Te Araroa trail.

With some big weekends coming up I decided to go for a run to try and get my fitness back up. Plus always on the lookout for caches so this spot fit the bill perfectly.
Started from the bottom and worked my way to the top and eventually found it! Glad to knock this one off as I had stopped here once before and quickly looked

Took ages looking with the gf. but she found it in the end well away from the coordinates Tftc
No time to ponder about performing or parading on the pebbles today, GPS pointed us to the correct place, TFTC.
Went for a walk this afternoon and checked the caches in this series and replaced some log books and added more to others. All caches were where I expected them to be. Cache was still above the water line.
Took a short search and then Just-Lookin had this one found.
SL TFTC - nice area with the river.

On a short road trip with tmann421. Enjoyed the area collecting caches along the way.

Found it on second visit, without gps. Thanks to a previous comment about having seen it from a bike ride
Nice quick grab by the shortest family member in between dogs & their walkers. Thanks.
Couldn't find it on the way East, but stopped again on the way back and it was in the first place I looked.

While I searched, a dog came by. I said, "Lassie, go find the Geocache." But its name must not have been Lassie. I eventually figured out the hint and discerned the location from previous logs. TFTC.
Visiting from Australia and spending the morning caching and this was our 4th attempt along this path. This one was an easy find and is placed in a lovely little resting spot. There are these little wasps that seem to think this is a nice spot too so we won't be staying long but it is pretty. Tftc.
As everyone--read the comments so a quick find after looking in all the wrong places a year ago.
Found it on the second attempt. However, it is well away from the published coordinates.
Time to head south and pick up a few caches while getting a bit of exercise riding my new bike.
This one took a little while but got there in the end after reading the hint.
Cheers for the cache.

Plenty of wasps around. searched for what seemed like forever Then re read all logs etc and found in a jiffy

Took us forever! Nowhere near coordinates stay closer to the path and follow the hint!
Beware the wasp nests that are in abundance here. I missed it on the first round, but again perseverance by Mr F (duly entertained by two young muggles waiting for mum) paid rewards.
Co-ords near enough but some serious paper wasp nests about here so watch your step. Maybe. Just about gave up on this but one last try. Tftc.
Tricky but got there. Hunted long enough to let the rotties off for a run and a swim. With chuckles12, ethey783, Caellums2002. Tftgc
Found the cache! Nowhere near pebbles and no where the coordinates. Still in good shape and still able to be located.
Working in the Waikato for a couple of days and a chance to try out this walkway and grab a few caches as I dodged the muggles walking, running and cycling along the path. I am glad to say that I finally found this one thanks to reading previous logs...nowhere near the pebbles and some distance to where my GPS pointed - nice hiding spot. TFTC
This one had us perishing while we hunted high and low. In the end it pipped us at the post so we thought we'd carry on and try again on the way back up the path. On our return we had GZ in our sights and then there was a boatload of peeps enjoying a cold beer. Ah well, next visit!
Out and about for a days caching in Hamilton with Trout-fly enabled us to find 50+ finds. This was our last set of caches for the day and we arranged to park a car at each end to prevent us back tracking. This should have been the one titled persistence as it took us way to long to find it. Two GPS's showing two different GZ's meant that we really didn't know what we were doing. Previous logs mentioned it was about 12m out so widened our search area and eventually found it right where one of the GPS's said it should be. Anyway, another smiley along the trail for us this evening.
Cords a bit out for us, but found without resorting to too much cursing. Thanks.
Found ... Mrs McMike2012 decided that we would head down towards Hamilton & try a couple of cycling/mountain biking trails/tracks ... starting at Horotiu & heading towards Te Rapa & Pukete ... and doing some caching on the way ... didn't realise how busy this area would be ... so we had to keep a sharp look-out for 'muggles' ... all in all a good time had by us. Cache easily found & replaced. TN:LN:SL. TFTC. #760 for us.
Prolonged protracted puzzle. Passed up the pebbles, kept our paws closer to the path. Coords were over 12m out, but got there in the end. TFTC
Spent the last couple of days heading off to collect the last caches in the area and keep me streak going. Today was hard work. Arrived at GZ according to my iPhone only to think to myself the cache owner would never place it here as it would disappear in winter. Decided to start searching areas that matches the cache name and hunt. Still nothing. I was beginning to worry but kept hunting. Eventually after widening my search and then giving up I happened to locate the cache in a passing scan of one spot. iPhone had it 30m.
Very glad to get this one and keep my streak going.

478 Exploring the walk/cycle way Horotui to Hamilton. Lovely sunny day. Looked on way down but muggles with jetski on beach so found but not collected until the return trip
Out for a walk with Greep, Kimbathelion & Matrix10101. Great spot for a picinic.
Mad totara had it at her right toe. Great day out with matrix 10101, greep , mad totara & geopup. Beautiful day to be out on the trial, first time along here & it’s fantastic. TFTC
Nice river walk and perfect morning for caching. Team effort with Greep, kimbathelion and mad totara
Team effort with madtotora, matrix10101 and kimbathelion! Out for a morning stroll on a glorious day.....really nice walk, great spots, TFTC's
We had a good look in all the wrong places then finally looked in the right place cache all good
Im almost convinced that the cache wasn't in the spot it should be as it was way out. Still the hint would help enough to find the cache.
Great spot

We were very grateful for the hint. Went to where the GPS said zero and came up empty handed. We were a bit suspicious though as it looked like it could be flood zone. Commenced our search of all the hint places up hill from where we started and there it was about 10 M away. Nice spot for a picnic.

After my work commitments were done for the day I decided to go find a few caches before heading to the airport and home. The first place I came to look was the trail from Fonterra to Horror 2. Parked my car at the Fonterra end and walked to the other end and back. It was a great day for it and a really nice walk too. This was tricky too. Lots of possible spots that matched the hint. A check of some logs made me widen my search and eventually find the cache about 10m from where GPS said it should be. Hmnm I think this was the first cache where I noticed the Marchwood's log as they had approached this far from the other direction. Caught up with them back where I started on my return trip. TFTC, Biggles.
Persistence paid off for Peel.
We had just started searching when we spotted a group walking along from the other end the beach. Muggled? Luckily it was the McCutchan clan doing the trail from the other end. Four pairs of eyes should have been better than two, but it still took a while, despite a great hint. Finally, the find was mine and we signed first. Good to catch up, we'll cross paths again before we all finish.

Approached GZ only to see a couple of people lurking about.....damm muggles......lucky for us it was SteelandPeel, good to see you! After quite a good search the cache was discovered!
Took a while and coords out by 10 meters for us but found eventually after having a logical think about it.

Am trying to get a little run going before heading away so thought what better way to get into this than collect caches around home. This was the first one and I would have to pick one further from the car, the rain started, but the call of the cache was strong. Had soon located the cache, can fully understand why I never saw any muggles as it was waaaay too wet.
Thanks for the placement

My phone wasn't co-operating and this could be anywhere. I spent a fair amount of time looking on both my outbound and return trips but my search could have been more exhaustive.
Needed some exercise late this afternoon after not doing too much this weekend so this was perfect. This will be a popular spot in the summer for picnics.
Used the coordinates in Butterfly Lady's log and it got me reasonably close to where I found the cache after a couple of minutes hunting.
Many thanks

tidy little hide, nice spot, looking at the river helps with part of the clue! [8]
the fourth day without rain was cause for a walk. Back to find this one.
Searched all around GZ without luck.... this WP would have been flooded when we last searched.
Read a few logs and realised we had to move up from the lowest level.
Eliminated so many spots within a wider area.
Sat and thought... Then decided to work from the top down. Found the larger cache 9m from GZ.
Having found this one, we then realised where the original cache might have been... worked our way down and found the key holder, very wet.
Took a WP, signed the log and admired the pebble beach that was not visible on our last walk here.
