Found during a stay in Victor Harbor for a 5 day visit. Today I headed over to Hindmarsh Island for some cache finds while in the area. Read jertzy's note and decided to help them out by replacing the cache. All good to go for the next finders! (Late log, apologies). Thanks for the cache jertzy!
### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###
----------
Hi there jertzy,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue. The cache has been temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ). Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers are not mind readers (unfortunately), so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, you have been in hospital, the area is in flood, or some other reason that has prevented attending to the cache, they can't tell what is going on.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56), so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when a Reviewer next looks at the cache page, it is likely that they will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD).
Thanks for your cooperation,

Sounds like the recent weather events have affected this cache. I am unable to get there until April so will keep it off-line until I can get there or until some kind cacher replaced the log for me. Either way I will visit and maintain at my next available opportunity.
This cache has been here for over 6 and a half years and we dont know why we havent been to get it before! It was a nice drive in and when we stopped there was a falcon perched on the fence opposite us, we sat and watched him for a while as he sat there watching us, unfortunately we disturbed his calmness when we opened the car door and off he flew, such a lovely looking bird. Hopefully the falcon was off to eat a few mice or perhaps a snake, that would be good.
What a shame Rob isn't still here to enjoy a great spot, RIP.
Thanks jertzy for the cache, found it, signed it and replaced as found.

1st chance I've had to visit here for a number of years. Thank you to the cachers who have replaced the logs.
I added a couple of log sheets. All good to go again. Hopefully I should be able to return more often.

Staying with friends nearby. Cool today but we've rugged up to do a little geocaching. This was one we targeted and found. The log book was saturated and mushy and unusable. Put in a new log scroll. Thanks
Found by Olga at 17:35 after visiting the Goolwa market then collecting some cockles.
Log book was wet but lucky o have a pen for this exact problem

After coming from Milang this morning and caching along the way , we finally made it to Hindmarsh Island, our intended destination .
TNLNSL.
Memorial caches are both sad and happy, all at the same time . Hope you can still come back and remember the good times you all had here [^].
Thanks Jertzy. Our final stop for the day [|)].

Started driving down the road towards the cache but the other muggle occupants of my vehicle wanted to visit the murray mouth. So reluctantly turned around and drove them to where they wanted to go.
After that it was my turn and we were able to drive along behind the shacks to within 200m of the cache and then walk along the trail over to the other group of shacks to find the cache.
Easy and quick find with barely anybody around today.

With weather forecast to be a nice warm day, jesswrigley and I decided to head down Goolwa for a few adventures. After completing parkrun in a new location and a nice breakfast, we decided to experience taking the jeep on the sand along the beach towards the Murray Mouth. It sure turned out to be busy, but pretty fun. We stopped off for a few geocaches along the way, before heading back, and then visiting Hindmarsh Island. I hadn't been here for 20 years, with coming to Narnu Farm back in my school days as part of a camp. We managed to clear that island of its current geocaches, and then the final part of the day was heading around to Clayton Bay and Point Sturt to see more of Lake Alexandrina and its picturesque settings.
It's always nice to honour someone with a geocache. A fitting area to do so. Cache was found reasonably quickly, and cache container and logbook in good shape. Thanks jertzy for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
After our house sit in Willunga, we are on the road again, filling in time before we go to Kangaroo Island on 1 Nov. Caravan at Hindmarsh Island, so today, we concentrated on all the caches there.
Nice dedication to your brother-in-law jertzy. Thanks for the hide.

Owl has been missing serious caching, so hatched an audacious plan for a full day of caching with Sushilord and JJ52, despite orders from Eagle 'not to overdo it'. No such thing in caching! A day of laughs and finds followed. Owl completely mucked this find up, so it took a Fish to set her right. She's sure she looked there!
A plan was hatched for a day of caching with Dr Owl and JJ. The main goal was to get our names in the B60 series of caches and anything on the side of the road. Along the way we had many laughs and enjoyed a good haul of finds.
Thanks for the cache jertzy.

We read the cache notes and felt your sadness. This is a lovely area and hope you created many happy memories here with your mate. SL TFTC
Found after a brief search. Trust the GPS, ignore the phone. Enjoyed the beach here.

The house was asleep this morning on this New Years day, so i snuck out to attempt all the traditionals on hindmarsh island (the mystery looks like it needs some proper work and so i will leave it for another time!). Had a friendly Neighbour say hello, i think he was wondering what i was doing, I'm guessing not many people venture down here for no reason! A nice quick find, tftc!
Hurtle suggest a paddle along the Coorong to get some caches that don't get visited often. Luckily I had things to do on the day before when it was 40 degrees. Today was mid twenties, overcast and a nice cooling breeze. Perfect conditions for a 12 km kayak paddle. We left from Sugars Beach boat ramp at about 7.30 a.m., paddled out to Godfrey's landing and then back collecting four caches (with a FTF) and were back by midday. [:X]
Having done the paddle I decided to call in and grab a few drive-bys as I made my way home. [^] Well this would have been a drive-by if they hadn't closed the road off! So it ended up being a detour to collect this one. But a least it was quick find in the first place I looked.
**Thanks jertzy for this cache. **

Today I went for a drive to Victor Harbour, and a detour on my way back to the airport for delievering the car again. Had an enjoyable day, without sunscreen - yeah got sunburn:) Had a few caches on my list, the other were just passing through, I feel for a stop! Thanks to all CO's for their maintenance of the caches, so I can keep on doing this crazy thing!
Top morning on Hindmarsh Island - seven geocaches, 50 bird species, great fish and chips at the Murray Mouth and only 1 snake. TFTC jertzy.
Found after a kayaking trip down to Godfreys Landing on a sunny and calm winters day. I have been visiting the Coorong since the early 80's and have always enjoyed this beautiful area. This was one of those roads I had never been down, until today. Found the cache and signed the log. Thanks for the cache!
Out and about exploring markets and coffee shops and of course geocaching. This one had us wandering around for a little while but quickly spotted a likely spot.
Thanks
