Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Aldinga for a few days and ranging from there to grab some finds. Scored a beautiful day after a couple of chilly ones. Thanks for the hide LNCU
Out and about south of Adelaide while visiting from interstate. Gathering caches while going along the mainly country roads. Found cache and signed log. TFTC
After spending yesterday caching north of Adelaide it was now time to head in the opposite direction. We mostly did caches along the country roads as well as a few ALs and some caches located in the towns of Mt Compass, Wilunga and Adlinga. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining the caches in the area we visited.
Spending a long weekend in the Southern suburbs which I havent visited very much since I started geocaching. So lots of unfound caches to keep me busy. The main theme was to target solved mysteries, highly favourited caches, caches requiring a TOTT, adventure labs and any other caches that I passed by.A hot one today so this was a quick park and grab and then back to the air conditioned car. Thanks for the cache Ziggy58.# # #14147 # #
Staying at Inkwell Wines for 3 nights. Ventured out early in the morning to find the three closest geocaches. This was the first find. Spotted a group of kangaroos amongst the vines. Thanks for the hide.
My final day on this SA jaunt and it’s been a fab visit Wanted to visit the coast just one more time before moving on.
Another easy find

I heard something about a badge level thingy for writing longer logs... so feel to ignore from this point onwards.
Thanks for going to the effort to prepare, hide and submit this geocache for me to find, another smiley for my geomap.

Thanks to the cache owners who do regular maintenance checks to ensure other players have an enjoyable experience when out in the field.
Your cache has been retrieved and the log book has been signed with the trusty stamp or a good old pen on paper, with the exception of virtuals, EarthCaches and webcams of course.

Out for an afternoon Cache with Geohubby Cachehunter and the Geopup Zoe. We were working through the OTD series but decided that the ground was much too hot for the pups paws and have changed to Driveby Caches, She is now awake and curious why I am not following cachehunter out of the car. (hint I had already read the previous logs hehe). Cachehunter came back with the cache in hand and gave me one of those looks while explaining how he had to crawl in for the retrieval of this one!
Cache was found in good condition, Cachehunter has dropped off a TB to reward the next finder brave enough to crawl in for it.

Found with NiciDanielle and Zoe the Geodog. Zoe suddenly got interested again when she heard this was a dog cache, but then quickly retreated and said "father, Silky Terriers aren't my peoples, they are large rats with long hair. I'm beginning to think my dog might be racist. Dropped a TB. TFTC
Spent the morning caching the Cats and Dogs series. I managed to find (or replace) 29 from the series, and there were 2 which I didn't get to attempt due to muggles. Thanks Ziggy58 for the series.
Out for an afternoon of caching. Enjoyed working through a number of the Cats and Dog series! But not this one. So prickly. And I was looking in all the wrong places before the cache was found. Tftc!
This afternoon I thought it would be a beautiful day to visit Willunga and find a few caches...I contacted my semi-muggle friend, Bron, and invited her to come along...
Quickly found in good condition, signed and placed back as found...

My app was playing up so I went to look for gcs I had already found. This one however was damaged. The large lid (with blue trimmings) was stuck into the soil and split. The casing was no where to be found. I think this one is likely to be a right off.
Combining geo-caching and hours of driving for our L plater geo-daughter seemed a match made in heaven! Great day for it too. TFTC
Just as we were about to look for our last cache, a car pulled into the property across the road and someone got out to check their mailbox. This week we have a rental car with Victorian numbers plates and we have learnt all about the "friendly" rivalry between SA and VIC. We've also received a few odd looks at times like we had slipped through the border patrol and so drove on to this cache instead.
After finding the cache I decided that I was getting too cold to continue and our time might be better spent warming up with cold wine at our cabin. It;'s an ambiguity I know, but a pleasant one. tftc

Happy New Year 2020 Cheers Ziggy58. Found after our wine tasting at Inkwell during our holiday stay at Serafino
Found after reading the logs about the yakka. Quick find thereafter. Thanks for the replacement cache.
Another lovely day visiting the area and we managed to explore more places, our muggle driver is getting used to us telling him to stop here, go there, just a little detour and that looks like a good place to park lol. TFTC and the fun
Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
Based at Willunga house-sitting for a few weeks, a drive to McLaren Vale again today, to the info centre to get some camping info on Kangaroo Island. Took a long way round via California Road, caching on the way. Filling in the gaps on the map now.
Thick black boys spikes, they are amazing. Thanks Ziggy

Today we needed to go to Noarlunga and with a little spare time up our sleeves we decided to chase some cats and dogs. All the caches that we found are in good condition, we found the co-ords to be acceptable. SL TFTC
Sadly we had to leave Kangaroo Island
heading off to Adelaide for New Year‘s Eve. We took a few boxes on the way before we arrived in the city. Here we directly strolled around the centre, hitting a lot of virtuals, earth caches and traditionals on the way.
The caching evening was finished with an event at light square which we organized for our trip. And then off to the fireworks at Elder Park.
Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining the boxes, earthcaches and virtuals.
Found and logged together with Swerik, Mikaching and GPS-Wickie.

Unfortunately we had to leave Kangaroo Island already today although we were not able to visit all the spots we were interested in. We left to celebrate new years eve in Adelaide, meet up with friends and watch the fireworks.
Back on mainland we turned a couple of green boxes in to yellow smileys.
Thanks to Ziggy58 for placing the cache.

Out and about after dropping daughter to work at the day on the green. Found with superman_22
Ending my trip to SA with tmann421 today.

A quick diversion from South road whilst on my way to a kayaking trip from Sellicks to Myponga. Hmmmm couldnt find this. Must have had cache blindness, but gave up after 5 mins as GPS lock was all over the place too. Will come back another day
With a number of DNFs, a wide search, an inactive CO and previous finders who couldn't remember where (can't blame them) I took the liberty of replacing this cache. It's a dark green vitamin bottle east side of southern yakka. Tftc
Gave the area a pretty thorough going over. All I came away with was prickles from a tree and cut hands from young yakka leaves.
