Found while getting to another final at the end of a great afternoon doing the Queen series with a few extra caches for good measure. Great fun and great company. Tftc
Off to walk around Googong with Kittykatch Albida33 and Joolay. Frosty start in the morning, but brilliant, sunny day.
The others had foundrhis previously, but it still took a minute search to find.

Out with a walk to this area on a sunny day.
Decided to get some caches on the way.

A cool, windy day. Enjoyed the caches that overlooked Googong Dam. The snakes are now out and about, must remember the gaiters. TFTC
#2349 It was a fairly casual 5 minute search here, before I spotted the cache and with injuryman in a more suitable position for the retrieval I left that for him. Logged as Beta Squad. Thanks Tankengine for the cache.
Took a look of searching, then found where we first suspected. Under estimated this one.
Dropped by for a quick find.
Nice start to a track that I should return and walk one day.
Thanks for the cache.

I DNF'd this cache back in February 2016! Wow 4.5 years ago to avenge it, not bad!
Even though it was so long ago this cache was one that has stuck with me ever since. I remember exactly where it was hidden and the structure I had searched for 30+ minutes last time I was here, almost convinced it was missing!
Today I spent another 5-10 minutes looking, but it was soon located and wasn't overly hard at all. I struggle to believe it was hidden in the exact same spot when I DNF'd though! No way I could have missed that, it must of been attached differently or at another angle..... hmmm
Ahhhhh well, good to finally get this one
Thanks

Out for a day of caching with Decrypter, Goldenwattle, binliner and @trodectus. T & I had some time before everyone was here, so decided to go for this. Walked to GZ and after some searching, had CIH. Log signed and returned. TFTC.
Found with [@coybear2000](http://coord.info/PR9547H). We were meeting up with friends and as we were awaiting the arrival of DC who was running a bit late, C and I went for this one. We arrived at GZ and started our search. A few moments later, D turned up and as we were chatting we spotted the hide. Log signed and all replaced and we went back to the others. TFTC.
Tankengine had some maintenance to do on his caches out this way. We had a window of opportunity in our busy day to come and fix the one needed as well as check on a couple of the others.
This cache: Nice little path and a nice little park and grab.
Thanks for a great morning of caching and of course TFTC Tankengine!!!

And couldn't resist picking up one last cache for the day. A quick find and a dash back to the car only for the rain to set in pretty heavily about a minute later. Absolutely perfect day out! TFTC
Tool a little searching, but eventually found it. A very nice to day for caching. Saw these guys while out finding this cache. Some escapees from a nearby farm. TFTC!
Cache 5437 on 31 Aug 2019.
After missing out on our caching mission last weekend due to me being sick, Fox in Jox and I got our stuff sorted and headed out to Googong today instead. It was a glorious afternoon, and I grabbed around 9 caches, just what the doctor ordered. Fox was nursing an injured leg, so I don’t think I slowed him down today! He got maybe 11 caches.
This cache: a reasonably quick find in the expected place. I thought the container would be camoed, but not. Made it a slightly easier find!
Thanks Tankengine for the cache and the fun!

Day 2 of our Clear Waters event and Queanbeyan/ACT adventures started off with a delightfully sunny and fresh morning which allowed us to find plenty of well placed caches. We spent the morning in Googong before heading back into Queanbeyan to explore the city centre.
After a very enjoyable walk around the Queen PT, we continued on to find a few more caches. Thanks Tankengine for placing and maintaining this cache.

This morning I was fortunate to be invited along on a caching quest by the Ziggsta and Mavman. I wasn't the only stray they picked up with ozmilo joining too. Haha. Deciding to use real first names instead of geocaching ones, we came up with the team name of MEEL.
I had a great time walking around a number of traditional, multi and mystery caches in the dam area and getting to know our new friend MiloMike. Having sent a little lonely (definitely not alone though) the last 5 days, it was great to hang out with old friends and let my hair down a bit, singing along to Queen songs and chatting up a storm with the Ziggsta. Haha
Perfect weather. Best company. Beautiful location. Great caches.

The gate up near the power station was locked so we had to go by foot. With four sets of eyes, the cache didn’t remain hidden for too long.
Found with Ziggiau, NoTomorrow and Mavetju. To save room in the logbook, we signed as MEEL.
Thanks for the cache.

Earlier in the day the access gate had been locked, but we came back after attending Toy Hunters nearby Queen Tour and the gate was open.
A quick drive down to the start of this track. After search the nearby feature we soon had the cache in hand and the log signed. Thanks Tankengine for this cache.

Luckily we started checking the whole structure as we took a bit too much time at first. Quick find then it was CIH. TFTC
Approaching the location, I was fairly certain of where it would be but the GPS kept taking us away from the location up a side track. Back to the gut location and sure enough - the cache was turned up by Donks81. The log was quickly signed and the cache replaced. All is well. TNLNSL. TFTC Tankengine.
plans changed from a paddle at Googong Dam, to a morning of caching with ACA. GPS was a little off, but thinking caps on and heads down the cache was soon in hand! TFTC
Spent a while looking and feeling around, but wasn't able to find this one today
Found this nice Cache together with Dino and Flintstones. Thank you for putting it out and maintaining it Tankengine.
A very fine day out at Googong Dam to do a round of caching with the family - was meant to be Mt Tennent today as a treat for me but the weather was not up to it. So we came out here and it was a wonderful afternoon.
After doing some more caches in the nearby valley we came back via the street and found this one quickly.
Thank you Tankengine for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

On my way to today's mountain bike orienteering at Kowen Forest, I called in to Googong Dam to find all the caches on the northern end of the dam. A quick find here. TFTC.

Today was Googong Day... Aquilus1 and I wanted to clear out the half dozen around the damn, get the coordinates for London loft and maybe collect it. Unfortunately there was not enough time for all of that, but at least we cleaned up a lot of caches and now know exactly where London Loft is... we need it for our JASMER month challenge which we want to complete as mush as possible of before we go the States next month.
We were wandering up this way to get to Googong Gaps... we need its juicy numbers so we can get London Loft!!!! Wandered passed this one!

After a week of sunny skies and nice winters days around rolled today... grey, windy, wet and somewhat cold! But today was set aside for Googong and the general area with GreyHams to target some sort after caches that filled gaps in our jasmers, and with our America trip coming up soon we were still keen to continue on regardless.
We got lucky with the rain stopping so we're able to get around to the caches on our list, London lofts coordinates collected but will have to wait for collecting another day, perhaps a day when the sun shines - that would be nice!
We did wander on through here, completed the circuit around as well. Sure is a nice walk around and the Creek along the way makes for a scenic and interesting walk, very nice.

I spent ages here. I had a good idea of where it would be but could not see it. Eventually moved away a bit and spotted something strange. Turned out not to be the cache, but while investigating it, I spotted the cache. Spent most of my time looking at the wrong spot! It pays to search the whole structure, not just one bit.
Headed off up the track afterwards.
Thanks,

Bit of a hard find this one, but in the end, a great challenge for toy hunters and I! TFTC TE!
After performing maintenance on the Queen Powertrail, jinxed13 and I decided to reattempt this cache after I DNF'd it a few years ago. After a bit of guidance from previous logs to what we were looking for, the cache was found this time after a few minutes. I can't believe I missed this last time, but regardless, it was a very clever hide. The Wallaby walk is indeed beautiful, alas, it was late afternoon and we didn't want to get locked in so we unfortunately had to leave. TFTC TE!
Wednesday 3 January 2018 - a perfect sunny Summer's day spent walking approx. 6km around the beautiful green slopes of Googong Dam (Queanbeyan side) to find 8 from 8 caches over 4 hours. We enjoyed the gorgeous native flowers in full bloom with good views over a dam with a very low level of water. Great views from this cache - surprised that we didn't see one snake all day. Thx p2p. TFTC Tankengine.
Cache found quickly. AND, found a DEAD Wallaby further up as I was going to the cache further up. Smelly!
A DNF for this one three years ago but today made the find in about 3 minutes. Older and wiser? All in good condition and TFTC Tankengine.

A couple of days in Canberra, not much time for caching but checking where we are for close by ones and this fitted the bill. Nice quick find. TFTC
Took the geokids for a hike, took about 15mins before spotting the container. TFTC!
Two years ago this was a DNF. Returned to-day with the missus for a quick find. TFTC.
