This cache:Quick find thanks to clear hint, tftc!Today:Great hike from Springwood to Blaxland through the lower Blue Mountains. Typical nature of the area: full of life (really loud crickets) and many beautiful rock formations! I loved the climb up to Lost World and the views there!
Cache in position and in good condition. Note that the access track remains closed; we did see evidence of relatively large and recent rockfalls onto the track, higher up and lower down the valley. TFTC!
Gorgeous Gully. Cache in good condition. Easy find in a beautiful place thank you
Thought I was coming to see Clarinda, came across Lady Parkes, Charlotte Bronte and Jane Eyre!
Love that my daughter wanted to chase waterfalls in the rain today!

Amazing cache and location!! Loved the contents of the cache too. Dropped my travel bug in here
Went back with one of my mates and it was a annoying find after checking the wrong rock
After leaving the autumn caching event in Wentworth Falls I picked a few caches for a stop on the way home. Great walk, top spot!

A very beautiful spot on my way to Numantia Falls. The rock formations and rainforest style area is pheonmenal. I have lobster knees now after that steep descent! TFTC
A very pleasant walk, descending into the forest, all the while hearing the trickle of water until the splashing of the waterfall was unmistakable.
We encountered a few people coming up the track and knew that we too would have to ascend at some point, but for now it was fun to follow the GPSr towards anther treasure box. We could hear some voices at the falls, but couldn't see anybody because of the way the rocks and trees are as one approaches.
Nobody could see me, either, as I went in for the grab, and soon had the container out in the open for inspection. Once the paperwork had been completed, we had a closer look at the beautiful waterfall, and then we saw a couple on the far side of the stream just sitting and talking, taking in the calm ambiance.
After taking a photo or two of the waterfall it was time to put back the box and head on up the path again. Definitely a walk to do again, and bring some other people to so they can also delight in this special spot.

Needed a find today towards the Fill the Calendar challenge cache. This one fitted the bill nicely. However I didn't find a track off the end of Badham St so bushbashed down the slope thinking that when I hit the Victory Track I would find the track back up the hill. Nope - so bushbashed back to the street.
We kept this cache for the return journey from Numantia Falls back to The Corridor of Oaks, to keep the geokids remaining enthusiastic about the long walk back. Daughter found this reasonably easily and we enjoyed the lovely location. TFTC
Having checked Mr Underhill, we carried on to see how this one had faired after all the rain. Falls flowing nicely and the cache was in good condition and dry,

This was one incredible place. I was all alone the entire time, and took a while sitting on the rocks at the falls, enjoying the sights and sound of the bush.
The hint was a little deceptive, as the cache is actually on your left side as you find it... at least for me.
A well-earned favourite here. TFTC.

Had a wonderful morning with four geograndies and their parents along the Victory Track. Just as Marchaj did we had a little trouble finding the correct level but eventually weight of numbers prevailed and success was had. TFTC
Popped out for a lunchtime walk on a work from home day. Rain looked possible but after many months of no rain I decided to take a chance to grab a couple of caches to keep streak alive... initially searched at wrong level and then again at another wrong level?!?! before eventually making the find, beautiful falls even when a little low on water. Will have to return after rain to see the difference. Encountered at least half a dozen lyrebird during the walk. TFTC
Great spot for a cache. Nice walking track, nice and cool. Would not have found if there was no hint and no previous logs. Tftc
Tftc - On our way down to the Numantia falls, geokids found this one easily however, needed to wait until some muggles, that we thought were coming down the cliff, disappeared
After trail running and realising I'd gone the complete wrong direction decided to have a test a see if there were any caches nearby. Was such a morale boost finding this one. Cache in good order. Thanks for the pick me up.. back to running the other direction.
A lovely spot and tribute to Clarissa Parkes who had such a short life.
Found nicely tucked away close to the falls.

Since Mr T was doing a short bush walk he looked for a couple of caches along the way. With a few other people out walking stealth was required. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
A nice walk along Victory track. This was our 3rd of 4 caches along this track today. TFTC
Been here a few times, and right at this GZ as there used to be a GCA cache hidden here years ago. But still a beautiful spot so many probably don't even know it's here. TFTC.
Came in from the wrong path, but eventually made my way to the cache from below. TFTC!
Another one on my walk to the unloved cache Numantia Falls - banksia777 tribute. It's surprising so many find these two caches on the way but don't go the extra mile (not even that) to the falls. However these falls are quite nice with plenty of water today. Like others I went too close to the falls at first then worked back to the junction to make the find. A bit of fallen timber here but not too hard to get to. Signed and replaced.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Found with phlphotos on our walk along the Victory Track. Phil's gps had him elsewhere while mine decided to behave. TFTC. I couldn't locate this one last when I brought my cousins from Germany along this track...I only had a phone then too.
#421 On a walk along Victory Track with alnic39 came to this spot and my GPSr wanted me a bit further along the track then I heard the call of "Found it" at that point as I walked back my GPSr started to count down and by the time I caught up with Al it was down to zero. The cache was great with the books and CDs but took nothing signed the log and replaced. Thanks for the cache. On the next leg of the journey was where I slipped on a rock crossing a small creek and twisted my knee.
A callout invite from the Mr in Team Webguy to walk the Sassafras/Victory circuit was overwhelmingly inviting, particularly on such a spectacularly sunny mild Bluies day.
At this wonderful waterfall and while taking the must do photos, Webguy with a few long strides had the cache well in hand ... with the distraction of the long gentle water fall the 'mushroom was grateful to be left to simply sign the log.
A grand location indeed, lobsterknees, and thank you for the cache.

Was here 2 weeks ago, always a great spot to come and dwell for a while. Approached from the east today, an easy walk, was tempted to walk the creek looking for a missing ammo box, but wrong shoes on for that.
An easy find today, in a very safe location. Dropped off a frog tb as he seemed to fit the location.

A family walk to check on this today, falls flowing beautifully but unfortunately the ammo was washed away with all the recent rain. A new spot, further back and hopefully one that will last. New Coordinates added.

Taking this one off line until we have a chance to check it and replace. Sounds like it has gone missing after the heavy rain.
Nope, spent a long time here looking, read every log, believe I was in the right spot, called a friend to confirm and I was, the cupboard is very bare.
On a better note, the falls are running really well.
Might want to check it out.

Found with Joni and Jimmy. Lovely cool, relaxing spot. Took the trackable. TFTC
Such a great spot! Found on a walk with with the Macquarie (Uni) Photography Society, introducing most of them to Geocaching. TFTC!
A lovely little break on my way to blaxland. I was a little nervous about recent rain due to some of the previous logs but found the cache nice and secure in the first spot I looked. TNLNSL TFTC
Found with pjmpjm during an afternoon of caching in the lower Blue Mountains.
GPSr is not going to be reliable in this gully but GZ is very obvious. Having said that finding the container is going to take a while unless you are very lucky but you will get there in the end.
If you intend to go for this one I would make sure to go before the rainy season as the location will be flooded and the container very likely will be washed away.
Perhaps it could be moved to a safer spot.
Thanks for the lovely location and cache.

This was the most beautiful place we visited today, in all our lower Blue Mountains geocaching adventures. It's really special and well worth the visit. Photos don't really do it justice.
We met a small tourist group and the Aboriginal guide told us all the legendary story of this place came to be. We were very lucky to be there to hear it.
However, we became very worried about the placement 'classic' geocache container. It's hard to see how this will survive the next heavy rain season. It seems like it will be washed away and, being waterproof and buoyant, will float downstream forever and ever . . . Anyhow, that's our humble opinion! (The coordinates are hard to establish down in gullies like this one, but the hint will take you to the correct spot.)
TNLNSL.
Again, this is a really great spot for a geocache and full marks to lobsterknees for finding it. Thanks again!

I found myself caching the area while the kids were at school, and there were a bunch nearby that I had yet to find.
Following a hint from a previous log I had the cache soon in hand. Due to the location I was a bit reluctant to leave anything in the cache, but recently I had picked up a rust-proof geocoin from a wet cache which will be just fine here.
Thanks for the cache.

After a long break from caching, we decided the 3 caches out here would be a good way to spend the morning. An easy find once we found the clue. TFTC.
This took a lot longer than necessary. But after searching high and low, left and right, one last effort and I managed to locate the cache. Very nice hike. Many TFTC!
We continued on our pleasant stroll along the Victory track from the previous cache. The falls were not running that much due to the lack of recent rain but still looked nice. At the more or less GZ (GPS had a bit of a time making up it's mind) we gazed about but nothing obvious came to our attention. Went back higher to no avail before returning to the lower regions. Went down to check a spot which I'd dismissed and lo and behold. Extracted the ammo tin and completed the log book. Reason we'd dismissed the spot was - and only an opinion - we thought the location may well flood in heavy enough rain. At any rate all is good for now. Lovely spot.
Another one that I spotted the hide for & sent my little sister in to retrieve. We liked the waterfall, even if it didn't have much water flowing today.

Our second cache for the day, and the Imp was really in form. She had the cache hide spotted before I'd even got to GZ! Following her form at the previous cache, she sent her little sister in to retrieve the cache. I left them to do the signing duties while I went about 20m away to find the GCA cache.
We were on this track today to see if it would make a good Grey Wolf walk for the Imp, I think she now has her walk settled in her mind.
Thanks

Despite the hint, this cache took a while to find as the GPS was of little help because of the location of the cache. A lovely spot despite the fact we have had little rain of late.TFTC
We continued on to this cache after finding the Mr Underhill cache. We were soon at the location and realised that there would be difficulty with elevation here. So the first thing we did was start to look around for a place that matched the hint. We didn't have any luck.
I reminded NickoHeap and Garks how we had walked this way about four years ago when we found the original Numantia Falls cache by banksia777, now, sadly, passed away. The boys always remembered that cache since it was their first real caching adventure in the bush. Naturally, they didn't realise this was the same track, so we shared some good memories of that day.
We went and took a look at the waterfall and then continued our search. Soon, I had that eureka moment when I spotted a place that seemed to match the hint. I was confident. I checked it out, and there was the cache.
Thanks for another cache in the bush. Nice to see a book in the cache too!

#2597- After finding Mr Underhill, we continued along the track with much talk from the boys about Lord of the Rings. It was just before arriving near GZ that we started to meet a few people on the track, taking advantage of the holidays and going for a walk with their children. NickoHeap and Garks enjoyed jumping out from behind rocks to scare me.
This one had us stumped a little at first, as we could find nothing that seemed to match the clue. But bikerbuddy then spotted it and soon had CIH. Lovely to see an real ammo tin. Thanks- now it was back up the track for the easier of the walks, for me anyway. A different kind of workout.

After 36 hours in bed I needed a walk to clear the sickness. This was an hour walk an almost the same in two searches.
The cache showed in the right spot on the map. That was good as the GPS was all over the place.
I had the wrong hint for the cache and needed a Phone-a-Friend to help find GZ. Oops, my bad.

*FTF* @3:10pm. The usual story with cliff lines the GPSr wouldn't fix on an exact location. Search here and there but nothing come up. I searched up high which turned out not to be correct. Round and round and I eventually found it. Such a tough location. Thanks lobsterknees for another local cache.
