Found on my second visit. Not sure why I didnt see it the first time around.Tftc

21-Jun-24
Seeing as I seemed to be gathering every cache i came across on this little patch of land around Huntley wharf, this cache was the next obvious one on the map.Walked around looking for an entry and that's when I discovered the mtb track and cache namesake. Eventually found a way down and to where I needed to be.Great hidden little spot for a geocache.Thank you for showing me it by hiding one here!

Cache is damp

Found it!! Quite a bush bash but eventually got it

10-Dec-23
Fantastic spot this one, quiet and peaceful area. Tftc

25-Nov-23
Took the beach approach and then cut inland to eventually find a trail that led me to the hide. Coming out was easier as I missed the beginning of the trail at the end of the sandy section of the beach. All dry inside. Nice spot here.TFTC

What a great spot! A quiet morning out in this beautiful scenery and a relatively quick find after a couple of false starts.

12-Aug-23
We followed what seemed more of a geotrail than a mountain bike trail. Upon arriving at the rock platform, the cache was found lying on the ground. We put it back on the ledge, out of sight, after adding our names to the log. TFTC

Tricky find when coming from above. Probably better to approach from the beach side: David

27-May-23
rlly cool find- was a bit trickier since i took the hard way down but was worth it

Was walking my dog and saw the characteristic Tupperware container, and low and behold a cache. A little damp but the bag served its purpose, needs a new log, tftc.

Nice to find and make a little bit of effort to get too. Tftc. Tnln.

04-Sep-22
Great cache and amazing area had to do a lot of bush bashing thought

11-Aug-22
Found this lovely one before, approaching via the beach at middle/low tide. Checked it today while walking the dog and noted there has been some intensive Bushcare done around the area recently; bundled lantana and generally cleared of invasive weeds - wonder if the bush carers found the cache and didn’t know what it was? I didn’t have a super thorough look, but might be worth checking on it. thank you for the cache!!

10-Jul-22
Parked at the cleanway today to eat my lunch and enjoy some views. Noticed this cache so made my way down and found an easy path to access the mountain bike trail. Though muddy and wet i got to GZ but alas no cache in sight.

19-Jun-22
Tftc and the adventure!!!

15-Apr-22
Looking around I saw that it was deeper in the bush than I originally thought. In the area where the point is it will be right under your nose.

Good luck

13-Dec-21
Nature gave me a big lizard and a worm for the hunt. Had to get in at the right angle to see it.

04-Nov-21
Tftc. Bit of a bush bash to find track. Great view

12-Sep-21
Easy find once I found the correct trail in. TFTC

17-Jul-21
Found on a cold and windy winters day.
I parked on the street outside the park and walked in.
After wondering how id get down to the GZ i was lucky enough to choose the right path the first time.
My GPSr took me a bit too far to start with but after some searching i made the find.
Unsurprisingly i had the GZ to myself and the only other person i saw the entire time i was there was a man dropping off recycling bottles at the machine.
Thanks.

Had looked for this one before but finally found it this time! Came via Huntley’s, and this time didn’t go up as far as the mountain bike track. Low tide helped, but you don’t *need* low tide to get to it - just a fun explore. Excited to find a TB as it’s been ages...for obv reasons I guess (no travel w Covid!) what a beautiful foreshore!!! TFTC! Took a handful of plastic trash back up to the bin with me!

10-Dec-20
Watch out for spiders, ran into some young muggles along the track. Enjoy the view!
First cache with some companions.

14-Nov-20
Rugged indeed! Great little spot, well remote considering the almost harbour side location. We entered from old bowlo site, now community gardens, far end of car park, far left corner of field, tiny non obvious goat track, go left before fig tree. Once found, on return walk we investigated fig tree and found track down to small oystery beach. See if you can find collection of glass bottle necks.

13-Sep-20
Great spot!

13-Sep-20
Found cache after a little bit of trekking through the BMX track and on to the foreshore. Had cache in hand not long after arriving at GZ. TFTC Smile

25-Aug-20
A pretty rugged trail indeed hahaha I think I took the more complicated route as it was much easier on the way out. Tftc

24-Aug-20
Short trip on the boat across the river today with all the kids to checkout the nearby playground and this unfound cache. Walking down the grass slope past an overgrown bowling green I reached the bush and from there it was a short and easy bush bash to gz. I did initially get the elevation incorrect however once at gz it was a quick find. Cache in great condition, thanks for the crayon, left rat TB. Thanks for placing this cache merr68 #998

19-Aug-20
Lots of bush bashing but found it eventually! Crossed the old car tyres and headed towards the water. TFTC!

15-Aug-20
We found it! This was our second attempt as I wasn’t sure that it was safe enough to go with my 4yo twins. With daddy, we managed to climb over the fallen tree log where there were many stacked tyres. Once over, it was pretty bushy but we found it!

11-Aug-20
This one included a fairly tricky approach, and I did hesitate to make my way through the campsite.
But it seems to be a spot for youths up to youth-y things, but fortunately it was deserted at 11:30 in the morning.

I briefly disturbed a swarm of feeding bees near the GZ, and had to retreat for a little while.

But they calmed down eventually, and I was able to make the find.

An interesting little spot, thanks for showing it to me.

Tftc.

Beautiful quiet little Bay Area. Destroyed many spiderwebs on the way!

16-Feb-20
Did some moves that my 55 year old body was not appreciative of in the 10 minutes I spent around GZ. And the funny thing is that it was in the first spot I looked, but i didn't see it. Laughing at myself as i walked back to the car...

04-Oct-19
We ended up getting very scratched for this cache - we mustn't have approached from the right direction. Nevertheless we did find it, and it was our first for the day. TFTC!

12-Sep-19
Last time here I parked near the ferry wharf , however, I was thwarted by a police operation going on in the direction of GZ.

Today I parked at the end of the Henley Community Center car park, walked down the grass slope until I reached the bush and from there it was a short and easy bush bash to gz. I didn't see anything that resembled a mountain bike trail. Once at GZ it was a quick find. SLTN and then retreated to the top of the rock to admire the view; not quite as good as the one from the top of the Gladesville Bridge.

TFTC merr68, all's good with the cache.

18-Aug-19
We are locals and didn’t even know the mountain bike trails exist! This was such a fun adventure in lovely surroundings. Great geocache fun, thank you.

31-Jul-19
Probably did more bush bashing than necessary after doubling back a bit too far along the shoreline. Got there in the end. Nice view! A CITO would be good nearby for the volume of discarded bongs! TFTC!

22-Jun-19
Had to drop the Mrs at the ferry, so decided to take the dogs for a swim. Thinking there may be a cache, I logged in to find I was 17m from this one. A quick recce quickly found the lookout and soon had cache in hand. The geo dogs loved the bush bash!
Had no pen and couldn’t sign log so here’s a photo of cache and contents. TFTC TNLN

25-May-19
Tftc! I should have followed the bike tracks to the bottom, instead following a semi formed path and taking a few scratches.
Great view from gz - a private vista of the setting sun

Today we headed over to Linley Point, Henley, Gladesville, Tennyson Point, and Putney to check out some of the new caches that had appeared since our last visit to those areas. This was the 2nd of 8 finds for the day.

Accessed this one from the carpark off Crown Street, leaving the main walking track and following the Mountain Bike tracks down to the beach, then heading up to the lookout rock and GZ. Quickly uncovered the hide and had CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced everything as found. No bike action on the tracks today. TFTC merr68.

Strangely, the GPS was abnormally helpful today! Normally it tells me to go through the thickest, most thorn covered undergrowth. But not today! After following the mountain bike trails the GPS pointed me down another trail, until it then changed to point down a side trail which lead is right to the cache's home.
The cache soon revealed itself to us and no one got run over by a mountain bike! Win win!
Thanks for the cache!!

03-Mar-19
This one was pretty straightforward, we followed the gps straight to GZ. A quick search lead to CIH. TFTC!

I'd come from the wharf, which was an easy enough approach, but spent far too long at the wrong target. After climbing over the accumulated natural debris, a quick find ensued. Thanks merr68

Only the one find today on my way to visit Cockatoo Island with a friend who had never been there before. We just missed a ferry so had a 30min wait for the next one. Time to go hunting for this one. We approached from water level which seemed to be the best way. Arriving at GZ, I spied the item eluded to in the hint but initially, no cache was found. I went up on top but nothing found there so decided to check underneath again and "Bingo!!" there it was. I managed to get myself in a position to retrieve the cache and in doing so, I managed to scratch my arms and legs in a number of places which all started bleeding quite profusely. What's a few war wounds when you are out caching!!!! Cache was returned and we arrived back at the wharf with a few minutes to spare before the ferry arrived. Both terrain and difficulty ratings are spot on for this one. Thanks so much for the hunt merr68.

A quick grab while I was in the area. GZ certainly can use a cito.

On a Friday night caching with Deep_99. In between showers of rain we were able to find GZ but it did take a little searching before I was able to spot the cache. SL #3700 on streak day #2255 TFTC

Located at 2:56pm. #829. 6 months unloved accrued. Another Hidden Date filled. Today marks one year since I started Geocaching. I found my first Geocache at 11:56pm on a Thursday evening after work when a colleague I gave a lift home to mentioned it in passing. From there I was hooked. I mostly cached at night owing to my work and studies. Once I reached 100 finds, I started hiding my own caches and currently have 34 hides out in the field. I especially love high terrain caches and Earth Caches. I picked this cache today as it had an appealing D/T rating and was on the way for me to a meeting. As mentioned in previous logs, plenty of detritus at GZ. I found the cache in a sub-par condition without a lid and have rehid with natural camouflage. This will definitely need some maintenance as soon as possible. Большое спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!

After yesterday's milestone, a quieter day today... Going after a previous DNF. Well, to be honest, it's a double DNF as I have had another (unlogged) attempt a year or so back.

The first time I hacked and slashed my way from the direction of the bowling club, and close to high tide so the beach option was more problematical anyway.
Second time, like today I was here at a lower tide so had an easy walk in from near the Ferry wharf.

Both previous times I checked one area that my iPhone liked, but found nothing.
And then I was checking spots at different altitudes.

So today? Yep, the iPhone is still pointing to that area. Hmmm...
So checked it again and... hold on. How did I miss that the last two times?

Well, nice camo I guess. I'll plead less caching experience as my excuse.

Completed signing duties and took in the view - it is good. Then replaced and back to *The Hademobile*.
Good to have the closest long term DNF to home turned into a smilie.

Found my me and my geoniece.

16-Sep-17
This cache was tricky to get to - many variants of geotrails had to be taken in order to get to GZ. GZ was also covered with fallen trees and sticks but overall the cache was well kept and the journey paid off. The bike track ha some serious potential as well, with a little maintenance it could be a great one! Thanks for bringing us to this wonderful location. TFTC!

19-Jul-17
Having just successfully scaled Mount Drummoyne, this nearby cache popped up on the radar. Low tide gave Mr Ozjeeper an easy walk along the riverbank. A bit of a scramble up near GZ and the cache was soon in hand.

14-Apr-17
An interesting walk from the ferry wharf commuter carpark, via the mountain bike trail with its series of waterholes and miniature mountains, along the wire strung up through the bushes leading to the homeless camp then arriving at the pile of dumped soccer gear.
I had a half-hearted search where the hint matched, not wanting to explore amongst the garbage, then basically gave up before venturing further to where the hint again matched. Luckily I got the right angle quite quickly and retrieved the cache before scrambling back to the makeshift track.
A great view from GZ and a perfect spot for a little CITO. TFTC and the adventure Smile

28-Mar-17
Finding this cache took some effort. Found the garbage first, which was cause for concert - the low life's that do this are not too concerned where there sharps go.
Finally found the cache. I walked right past it at the start. Then tried a different way out to come across what looks like a homeless person's camp. Backtracked and followed my footprints back to the car. Did follow some of the bike track though. Looks well degraded, but would have been interesting in its heyday.

18-Feb-17
I didn't spot any mountain bike trails or jumps, but I think I may have taken the path less travelled to get to GZ. It was actually a pleasant walk along the waters edge, until I need to walk up and inland into the thick brush which was a little unkind on my bare legs. But great view from on top of the rock at GZ and enjoyed the achievement, even as the heavens opened up with an almighty load of pelting rain. TFTC

Came in on the ferry end, along the water line and tide is more or less out. Had to look for a good spot for the scramble up the hill.
OMG! I found the soccer coaches bag, lol there are like 10 stopwatches tied together, now all stuffed from the rain.
Nice view from the lookout rock.
TFTC??

10-Jan-17
Attempted at low tide, which helped coming from the ferry side, cache was quickly found with hint

02-Jan-17
Wow, how can one place be so nice and so crappy at the same time. Good location for a CITO event. Looks like the local soccer coach had his training bag swiped and dumped amongst other rubbish. We took the hard road in along the waterfront and a tough bush bash up. Of course we found the easier route on the way out. For those coming from the ferry wharf we would advise looking for the wooden weir on the creek that runs down the side of the small park with the dinghies. The path to the bike 'park' starts behind a large rock on the far side of the creek under the casuarinas. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek

28-Nov-16
The D-T rating is pretty bang on as are the coords. I came along the waterline at a good time so only a quick scramble to the cache through the scrub. Great views up here, nice work! Cheers.

09-Oct-16
Very dodgy area with kids... lots of stolen/suspicious rubbish around... happy to not continue looking here

Great cache. Found after a fairy ride to the city to go to Wild Life Sydney Zoo, very fun. Took a while to find, bring your on pen as the pencil was broken.

Thanks for the cache, saw some guys hanging around searching for something... Was afraid wed find a body! Lovely walk and great view

Wonder if this was the last cache heaps of geocachers found before the boogeyman living in the tent got them?!
Tftc

28-Jul-16
Unrestricted parking at the jetty which was good followed by a nice stroll along the waters edge in the sun. A slight bush bash to GZ with CIH immediately. TFTC

16-Jul-16
Spent a while crashing about in the scrub, but only found rubbish. Then went back to the most likely place and looked with a bit more determination, and found it easily.

18-May-16
I parked in Huntleys Point Road, walked beside the oval then slid down the bank to discover the MTB trails below. That was the easy part. From there I battled through the bush to a spot that accorded with the hint and where my GPSr was reading 0-2 metres. However, there appeared to be nowhere to hide a cache so I pushed on through even more impenetrable bush to another likely place where, with relief, I spotted the cache. Phew!

Thanks for the adventure merr68.

2nd cache of the day (and third cache ever) TFTC!

Second find for the day! Bit tricky to get to but an easy find. The log inside was full so I started a new one with some paper I had with me Smile

09-Feb-16
Heyyyyyy my first find in over a month. You've got have have god eyes to spot the bike trail. A bit of luck got me from the trail to the beach, and then eventually to the cache. Lots of branches and pointy scratchy things in the way but a nice spot, TFTC!

03-Dec-15
Tough one but perry came through again!

29-Sep-15
Been a few weeks since I had a night caching run - and what better way to start, than by taking the direct line approach through some very thick weedy scrub Smile

But, it got me to GZ where I had a quick find.

A day out with bikerbuddy.

This was our first stop of the day.

Missed the mountains bike tracks and took the long way round to a rather nondescript spot, where bikerbuddy made the find.

TFTC.

24-Sep-15
Canary and I parked up top and walked until we found a way down near the shore. I must admit, we didn't find any mountain bike trail, and the cache location is certainly no trail, but we found the cache easily enough. This was our first find of about eight for a modest day of caching. Thanks

First Sydney cache! Sneaked in a quick find while waiting for Huntley ferry.
