After a long journey north to watch the eclipse, I am now winding my way back home from Exmouth. This was one of the caches I stopped off at on the drive today. Very pleased to take a short break here as the tree is beautiful. Also very interesting to read the info sign too. I wonder what those old folk would make of the tree now being behind a wall. Cache was very quickly located and after a short walk around I was back on my way. All ok here today - TFTC
Interesting trees around here. Quick cache find.
Heading south after one mintue of moon shadow. This is one of stops on a long journey.

Catching up on some late logs, now that I have time, while travelling.
We are on the road travelling up through central Australian and down the coast of WA. I was happy to grab a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
Another different tree to examine in this area of leaning tree. Looks like a great garden to explore.
Thanks GreenoughMuseum for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

Cache and log are good. I wandered through the nearby house, prepared to pay the fee, but it was like the Mary Celeste; no one home. TFTC GreenoughMuseum.

This one intrigued me so had to stop. What an amazing tree and living for so long. Found the cache easily, SL then returned as found. A fav point from me. Thanks for bringing us here.

Stopped on the way home to collect this cache and decided to do the museum as well! Best museum of this type we have seen for quite some time and the gardens were beautiful! The caterpillar tree itself is so interesting, thanks for this excellent cache, a favourite point from us.
Caching our way back to Perth from Geraldton. This was one of the caches we stopped at.
Cheers GreenoughMuseum!

Heading home from our Geraldton trip with geo hubby’s cousin, thought we would stop to collect some caches along the way - TFTC GreenoughMuseum I really enjoyed it!
As suggested we took (more) time out off the highway and popped in here. What a wonderful tree and area. We had a bit of a wander round for a few minutes and enjoyed the shade of this tree. The kids found the cache and were very pleased with themselves.
Thanks for making us stop here.

On the way to Perth we stoppt for some geocaches. This was a found. Thank you for the Cache.
After several "perfect" days the weather turned a bit last night. Patch was keen to seek this baby out with the aim of filling a day on her list. All was in great shape here. Thanks for bringing us to this interesting spot.
Early in the morning, the museum wasn't open yet. At least, we could visit the wonderful trees in the gardens. The Caterpillar Tree wasn't hungry, it hadn't eaten the cache. A quick log and we were on our way again.

Greetings from Scotland. We are meandering our way from Perth to Exmouth and staying in Geraldton tonight. We felt we had enough time to pull over to look for this cache before heading back for some dinner. We followed the arrow to a stunning old tree and started to search around. It didn't take long to find what we had come for but then discovered we had left our pen in the car. We took the log book back to the car to sign it and then walked back to return everything as found. We're sorry we weren't here when the museum was open so we could look around.

On a 6 day trip up north to visit family in Carnarvon, and maybe exmouth, with my lovely girlfriend HR2990, picking up as many caches as possible, Thanks to everyone for hiding these caches for us to find.
Heading up to Gero for the annual IGD event with AlliedOz & SVKR_WA on a day trip, lots of banter and shenanigans in amongst the 900 odd k's traveled for the day.

Found this cache before we entered the Greenough Museum & Gardens. Since Dennisc52 has replaced the cache (which looks great now!) the CO can just do a maintenance log to keep the cache online.

Hi there Reviewer,
RE: The cache "Caterpillar Tree"
I'm following up on my "Needs Maintenance" log which is now well over one month old.
There has been no action by the CO, & the cache appears to have been abandoned.

Hi there GreenoughMuseum.
We found your cache **"Caterpillar Tree"** at 11:59:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 22616).
We are staying in Geraldton for a few days catching up with friends. When we had a free moment we started our caching run by nominating a cache some distance from our camp site and then took a route that was sometimes determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS. We thoroughly enjoyed our interesting trek around the local area
We ended up finding a variety of container types, and sizes hidden along our route. (11 finds today & 4 DNF's). Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic travels around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 3m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The cache was soaked it really needs some "Owner TLC"
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
**Note:** We didn't spot the listed trackable "Garrys legacy" in the cache,** could GreenoughMuseum (or the Trackable owner) please "Mark the Item as Missing" so it can be removed from the cache inventory. This option is under Actions on the trackable's web page).
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Hi there GreenoughMuseum,
RE: Your cache **"Caterpillar Tree"**
We are really sorry to report that the cache is in an absolutely disgusting condition, it was full of water and everything inside was soaking wet and mouldy. It really needs lots of owner TLC.
Regards
Ian & Penny
PS: A take away container is really not suitable, something more waterproof and durable is definitely required.
