A cache that we've lived around for years but never ventured down the trail (presumably like many other cachers). Pleasant stroll down a mostly flat fire trail, OSM has the trails well marked.Once at GZ a few places where a cache could be, GPS not super stable here but matched my location off some pictures in the gallery which helped me make the find. Not a tough hide once in the right area, and not as far off track as I expected. I did a bit of averaging given we now have Glonass satellites since this was placed (~7m accuracy which isn't amazing):S 33 41.784 E 151 11.065Great to have a original 2002 cache still out there in great condition with original log. Signed and replaced - incidentally tomorrow would have been 1 year unloved. Strongly encourage more to have a crack down this trail - would be very mountain bikeable except maybe the last 200m. We saw no muggles except right returning back to the car a MTBer. Thanks!

I needed to go to Terry Hills so decided to stop enroute for a trail run. I parked in the well-used parking area on Mona Vale Road and headed along the fire-trail, with no issues finding the way (guess it was more of a Riddle in the days before OpenStreetMap?!) and was soon at GZ where I made a quick find. It was good to see a 20 year old container and log in such good condition - fires, floods etc! After signing the log and looking at some of the early entries I headed back to my car - thanks for the cache, and sharing a pleasant area.

You would expect that a 30 cm plastic container in the middle of an organic setting would be fairly easy to find. Sadly, this was not the case today.

Came out on my lunch break run. It was super hot on the trail, nevertheless a beautiful one with some nice views.
Once at GZ it was an easy find, with the generous size box. put it back the same way after signing the logbook that lay unloved for more than a year. I love finding these old school caches. Especially when they involve a great number of unloved days with them.
The hint is well past its use by date as there are no markers any more. This does not make the find too much harder I think.

Lovely walk on a sunny day. Nice and easy to find. Cache is in great condition.
After doing Pacivica, we looked for our next option - this seemed like a good choice and a nice old one to boot.
We took a slightly longer route to GZ than needed, on what was a very hot day. Kangaroos and a goanna made for a nice walk.

Good hike of about 9km there and back with MrD. Saw a goanna and kangaroo along the way. Not as flat as expected, but we survived the trek. No yellow marked trees, but found it easily at GZ. So good to see these really old ones still going strong after so many years. TFTC
After a very long but nice walk, we’ve found this cache nicely hidden.
Container is in good condition.

TFTC! Nice one! Cache and contents still in good condition - amazing after all this time.
Still a few pages left in the log too.
The walk in from Terrey Hills was really beautiful and enjoyable. The walk out was a challenge - to the end of Ryland trail, across to Warimoo trail and out to Bobbin head rd by Sphinx trail.

Wow, no ones been here for over a year!
A muggle friend and I had decided to do this walk a while ago and today was the first day we could connect. Not a great day for bush walking - wild and windy. In some sections of the track the wind was so strong and blowing towards us that we couldn't talk. We could also see a smoke haze in the valley and smell the distant bushfires from NW Sydney.
There was little bird life around, they were probably clutching the trees for dear life. There were a lot of wild flowers making a great display.
The GPS wasn't particularly co-operative when we reached GZ but eventually it pointed in the right direction and the cache was a quick find. I signed the log and visited some TBs but did not leave any as this cache has so few visitors.

This was our main goal for the day and we really enjoyed the walk out to GZ and back. The track was generally easy going with only a few ups and downs and a reasonably steep but short descent near the end. We had hoped for more birdlife but did see 2 very large yellow tailed black cockatoos next to the track. We also saw a Christmas Bell flowering, which is about 4 months early, while Boronias, Croweas and Grevilleas were flowering everywhere so it would definitely be worth coming out here in Spring. GZ soon gave us the cache and was conveniently placed for lunch before we headed back to the car. There were quite a few cyclists on the track and you had to listen out for them as they approached at speed. Thanks cache_angel for an excellent walk and cache, a great day out.
Ride in via the Sandy and never fail trails. Great riding through the creek and all the puddles after the rain. Need a change of clothes but had a fun time. Cache in good shape. Thanks for placing!
Today, with the kids at school and the chief puzzle solver on school canteen duty, I headed out on a solo mission to find four of the slightly more remote caches in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. This was the 1st find of the day.
After battling the morning peak hour traffic I finally arrived (9:30 am) at my chosen parking location, the dirt area on the Northern side of Mona Vale Road, and then started my journey from the wire gate **S33° 42.236 E151° 12.345**, following the fire trail on my trusty mountain bike. Took the left track at the fork **S33° 41.789 E151° 11.915**, and then followed the fire trail all the way to GZ.
After checking in a few spots around GZ I soon spotted a likely hide and, after closer inspection, it was CIH. Signed the log book, swapped a couple of trinkets, and then replaced the container as found. TFTC cache angel, it's nice to log an old cache that's still in good shape and going strong.

Streak day 17 of trying to fill the calendar - after a busy day at work that finished with having to seek out IT to stop my laptops heart attack, I was very glad to escape the office. While catching up on a backlog of unwritten caching logs I decided to have a look for old caches in the local area that would fill month hidden dates on my calendar. I had always found this one daunting because it seemed like a long walk, but after reading the description again I realised it wasn't too bad and could be a good after work target since it was on nice wide fire trails. It was only a several minute drive from work to the trail head. I swapped to my jogging shoes and set off down the trail. I impressed myself by actually jogging most of the way to the cache. Mostly stopping to double check I was still on the right track. Having read a few logs I wanted to make sure I didn't choose the wrong one. With the help of google maps and the terrain view I was able to set myself on the right path. It wasn't too long until I had to move off the path in search of the GZ. My GPS pointed me in the right direction, but I had CIH sooner than it expected. Not sure if it was just my phone but he coordinates were out slightly. I opened the cache and was excited to see an original log. For a cache this old it is impressive for it to still be there. I signed my name then flicked through noting many familiar names who have followed this same path over the years. I put the cache back as I found it then began the trek back to my car. It was a little slower this time, partly because I was tired and partly because I am writing this log as I walk. I've definitely earned my dinner tonight. Thanks for a lovely walk/jog. TFTC.
I came down to Sydney to find a bunch of geocaches on my short list. Mostly these were old caches to fill in new unique months on my grid. I thought I would have time to find some others as well, but I did not think how almost all old caches involved a decent walk, so ended up cutting some towards the end. Still nine finds out of nine is a good rate.
Number two for the day. This was easily the biggest walk for the day. By the time I got to the power lines I began questioning if I was even in Sydney anymore. It felt so far away. It was great. At GZ I jumped down the small rock cliff, Then immediately spotted that I had not needed to do that. It sprinkled a bit, but was just enough to cool me down.
Thanks for the great walk, making me forget where I was, new month placed and the cache!

This was my first and main cache target for the day in what would end up being a fun day finding eight caches. My only regret was not bringing my bike. I parked at the truck inspection bay and followed a bike track to the main fire trail. I didn't encounter any bikers but did cross paths with 2 horse riders that were on their return journey. Other than that, the walk was easy and uneventful. Made a quick find at GZ and prepared for the long slog back. TFTC cache angel!!!

Well, that was an adventure.
I've had my eye on this cache for quite a while - at one time it would have filled a hidden month slot, and other than the nearby-ish Warrimoo cache clears the bush caches near Terrey Hills.
Decided today was the day to go for it (cue ominous music).
Parked at the less than optimal truck inspection area, and as a result took the higher terrain option to the fire trail. Interestingly, I spotted another track near the gate, but as it wasn't on OpenStreetMap I passed it by. Ends up it was a much better option from my starting point.
After a bit of a scramble made the firetrail, and then onto the tracks leading to GZ.
Pleasant walk until I was about 400 metres from the cache when I noticed some ominous clouds heading my way. Checked the BOM Radar. Oh oh. That looks nasty. Hopefully it will either miss me or else arrive when I've got back to the car...
No such luck. Of course the storm arrived right as I was leaving the track. And the radar had shown some really heavy rain.
So, resigned to getting soaked to the skin, my first surprise was the hail. Wonderful. You know you're on a hiding to nothing when your choice is between sheltering under a tree to avoid hail and huddling out in the open so as to be a small target for the lightning!
Found what I thought the best compromise and waited for the worst to pass.
So, down to a "marginally heavier than light" rain, I started the search. Took too long, and when I found it I was close to where I'd waited out the storm - just glad there was little wind with it.
Completed signing duties but due to the wet didn't take out the iPhone to capture the moment. The wet made signing tricky - log is slightly damp (I was dripping everywhere let alone the rain) and my scrawl is patchy.
Also proved I got there by grabbing the Surf's Up TB.
Replaced and started back to the track - just as the rain stopped... Typical!
The track that has had only two or three pools of water was now a river. Really had to pick my way as I looked behind me worried about the next wave of storms the radar had shown.
The one bizarre and amusing thing on the way back was a bush turkey on the track ahead. It kept about 20 metres in front of me for over 500 metres! Why it didn't go off into the bush before that is beyond me.
And when almost back to the main road a wallaby bounded out behind me and turned 180 on a dime when it saw me.
What's with the animals out here? I blame the weather.
Found the other end of the trail I should originally have taken, taking it as I eyed more nasty clouds closing in.
Just got back as it broke again - more hail too. I was thankful for the change of clothes I keep in the Hademobile, so dry-ish I headed home.
Friday the 13th indeed!

A nice stroll from Mona Vale Road. A couple of false starts as I headed down the wrong track. Here's a hint: don't take either of the 1st 2 tracks to the left. Take the 3rd but not the partly overgrown track heading west. Left TB: 7GYZ8H to continue its journey.

With such a nice morning we took a run up to St Ives for a few caches.
Cache 6 of 6 for the day!
The walk took us longer than we first thought, 1 hour round trip.
We saw an eagle soaring just above the tree tops at one point which was great.
The track is easy to follow with plenty of puddles for Geoboys to jump.

Fantastic day for a walk along the sandy and wide tracks. Recent rain and lots of frogs heard - only spotted one though. Also caught a glimpse of a wallaby on the way back - a bazillion flowers out, nice. Interesting cache, there since 2002 and the owner profile has them last visiting the website in 2006 - but the cache is in great condition, nice and dry and a package of chalk in there is dry as a bone (as they say). We TN and Left a little fish notebook, a smartphone screen cleaner and two Sydney Monorail tokens (they will be collectors items in about a century or so as the monorail is now gone). Well worth a visit and a good walk with the bush changing along the way from the open sandy type to more enclosed and rocky - lovely.
After a couple failed attempts in my lunch breaks those new coordinates (and being given an iPhone from work) finally worked out. Thanks for making me go on a few runs! Hide some more?
That was a struggle to get too best to drive around until you find a trail head. Loved some of the early comments. You don't get those anymore, which is a shame but numbers count too much. A favourite for such a lovely walk.
Eventhough I am now saturated. Can't remember seeing the listed tb but didn't really look.

What better way to spend some of the weekend than get a nice old cache that is just a bit further out the track that I had been on some 30 years ago to find a trig station. Took some 'new coordinates' as the original ones were taking me some 12 m away from the cache.
Don't know what the 'popping' noise was that I heard about every 5 minutes. Maybe it was the police on a firing range.
Cache dry and intact; don't think I left a CSM with the coordinates out that much.
Picked up "Natalie's Dream", which has reached its' destination.

Went for a run here from work. Thought the trail feature off the satellite map would be enough to spot the yellow markers but there were yellow markers at a bunch of places! ah and nothing stuck out. next lunchtime run i guess..
It was such a lovely morning and I felt like a good walk so I drove out early, parked at the entrance to the Cooyong/Neverfail Trail and made off into the beautiful expanse of bushland. It must have taken me about thirty minutes to reach GZ where it did not take me too long to find the cache even though my GPSr wanted me deeper in the bush.
I signed the log and left a TB.
Thanks cache_angel, hunting this one down was a most enjoyable experience.

Here's a hide that's been around for four years longer than we've caching and is not that far from home. Plenty of familiar names to be seen when reading the logs of the early finders, but where are they all now? So, after draqging the chain for the last eight years or so, the geo-son and I headed off from MV Road on the bikes on a clear but cool and windy Sunday afternoon for the ride to GZ. All fairly easy going and we didn't see anyone else on our way. A little bit of scouting around at GZ and the cache was soon located. The geo-son was suitably impressed to hold an original cache that is older than him and we can report that the cache and log book remain in quite a goodcondition. Replaced the pen, however, as the one attached to the log was on its last legs. Many thanks cache_angel for the hide all those years ago (a fav pt from us).
Found this this morning with whilst out on our calendar gap chase cache which took us over to St Ives and over the ridge behind the Kurringgai Wildflower Garden.
There are a few that we haven't done around here and it was great to chase down the last few on our list. We've been wanting to knock this one off since doing a recent first to find in the Kurringai Wildflower Park. Finally today we could get back down here. It was nice to get down here after so much rain, although the area is still very wet. I made the find after we found the coords had us a little further down off the trail. We soon had the cache in hand. The container is in good nick and the log is dry. We signed the cache and replaced it exactly as we found it.
We picked up a TB. Thanks cache_angel for your cache. We enjoyed it and .....no leeches SLLN TFTC

Found with AM. This is the perfect cache when you want to get a decent walk in (nothing too strenuous or long) and also tick off a cache find for the day. Nice, wide track with Aussie bush sights all around. I rescued a Rte 66 TB that had been stuck there since December and will move it along. Thanks for a great cache, cache_angel!
Was in the area for Saturday morning duties. I had read the logs which suggested just over an hour was required if walking, which I didn't have, so I chucked the bike in the back of the car.
It was a great bush ride. Some patches were so sandy I had to get off the bike but not many. There were a few slopes that the slick tyres couldn't handle either. But it was a good workout, especially coming back where I was glad to have my drink bottle. Saved over half an hour bringing the bike, highly recommended to do on a mountain bike.
As I followed the trail this was one track where I was glad to have the phone as the track is visible from the satellite view whereas my GPSr didn't have the track loaded, maybe it isn't in open street maps yet, or maybe my maps are not up to date enough.
Found the cache in good condition with the original log book. I have done a few cache_angel hides now, have enjoyed them all. Didn't have to venture off the track as far as the GPSr indicated which was good as I had shorts on.

Very pleasant bush walk.
We've been hosting a Japanese Student for a couple days and brought her here today. It was a great time to teach her about Australian flora, among other things.
The walk was very nice because it was a decent length and had nice fire trails.
At GZ the GPSr pointed too far into the bush, so we looked around there for a while before I headed back and looked in the right direction. I pointed our Japanese student there and she found it too - she was very excited! She signed as Taro21 but will not be making an account online.
Had a really great walk back too, and was able to check out my new DSLR camera by taking many photos of the scenery, flowers and us.
Thanks for a fun cache and a good learning experience for our Japanese student!

Great unexpected walk. . Very nice cache. Should be more like this one. Not a moggle around. Lots of kangaroo prints and beautiful flowers. Outstanding company. Bring water!!!
12/09/13. 7:02 AM. Cache #890. The apparent remoteness of this one on the map is what's put me off doing this one until now (I don't know why; it was only half an hours' walk each way on (mostly) flat, wide sandy tracks). It's a beautiful spring morning for a pre-work walk, with the sun just coming up as I'm walking back now. I've seen a couple of wallabies, heard the odd whipbird and saw a big waratah right near where I parked off Mona Vale Rd. The cache was easily found (hide spotted in seconds, hint not required), and I'm only the 4th finder of this venerable cache this year. TFTC }:)
This is my type of cache. A good walk along a bush trail with a decent sized cache at the end. While the final location doesn't offer any great views, it's a wonderful walk that I would recommend for anyone with kids. All up it took just over an hour return, with the car parked on Mona Vale Rd.

This turned out to be a substantial hike. Thanks to the OpenStreetMap, I picked up the trail off Mona Vale Road and entered via the NP gate. The fire trail out to the cache appears to have been created and maintained for the purpose of the high voltage power lines.
Found the cache quickly, which is in good condition and signed the log.
Thanks for the cache, I'm delighted to have found this old one.

A pleasant walk on a morning fresh from overnight rain, with water drops glistening on the bushes and mist rising from the valleys.
Saw some local wildlife: kangaroos, lorikeets and even a glimpse of a lyrebird as it screeched and ran off into the scrub.
The cache is in excellent condition for one this old.

A decent walk on a cool afternoon. Followed the horse prints for a while and then headed left. Near GZ, the GPS wanted to go a bit further into th bush but hide was obvious. A good spot it is too. SL and took TB. Thanks.
Nice long walk to the cache on a sunny winter's day. Found without too much fuss. Left TB. Saw a red belly on the way out lazing in the sun by the track. Lifted its head and eyed me as I walked past. Thanks cache_angel.
This cache is now just past its 10th anniversary. A note inside the box told would be finders than there are hundreds of caches around the world. So 10 years later there are more than 1.5 million. How many more in another 10 years?
Great ride down on our bicycles. Suitable for young kids. Ours nine and twelve years. Easy to find when you get there. TFTC

Great walk, plenty to see on the way, the cache is nice and high so no dampness for the container. Great for a mountain bike ride as it's a fairly flat track to ride on.
I'd had my eye on this cache for a while as it seemed a good spot for a walk and today was the day. After a great walk around the nearby Mueller track, we drove just up the road and headed off to this old cache. It must be a popular goanna haunt as we spotted 2 along the way
We eyed off the Trig cache (listed on GCA) as we went by but the bush looked way too thick for a quick trip and we left that for another expedition. It didn't take long before we arrived at GZ and strike-a-light very quickly spotted a likely looking pile of stones. After signing the log and eating a yummy florentine biscuit, I noticed some very old yellow tape on a nearby tree. Ah! So that's what the clue was talking about!!
It's funny to think that cache_angel placed this so long ago and only ever logged 2 "finds" but it was certainly worthwhile

Great Walk
managed to avoid the rain showers
Found after a little searching
Both GPSr's had it further off the track. Found some other co-ords in one of the older logs which are closer

Find #1058 - 2 for today. Found on 19/06/11 11:45 AM
Parked the van in the industrial area and rode the bike through the tunnel and crossed Mona Vale road to the start of the track. Then it was a pleasant ride to GZ. After a brief search the cache was in hand. Thanks. TNSLLN

Second attempt!! On saturday I forgot to take the map with me and relied on the sign at the beginning of the trail that only showed one branch off the main track, which was supposed to be Ryland.... Sadly it wasn't!!! When i got home and zooooomed into the satellite map it was plain that there were 3 branches - i had taken the first - it was the third that i wanted!!! Oh well, i had a great trek and in many ways it was a nicer, more interesting walk than the fire trail, so nothing lost. Today i was armed with the map AND I had already noted the coords at the beginning of the track and if I hadn't managed to find the cache after that lot, i might have stamped and pouted a bit, but as it was, yep, THERE it was!! Had a fair bit of water in the container so i emptied it out and had a bit of a wipe round with a tissue. The log book was nicely sealed up and fine altho the pen is knackered. TnLn, SL, TfTC and the walk(s) !!!
PS... check out the goanna pics.... it was a MONSTER!!! I could hear it hissing and spitting, like a startled cat, it was seriously disgruntled when i disturbed it on the path and it had to leg it up the nearest tree.

Set off on a nice long stroll on a Sunday morning. Best entry is just past where the tunnel goes off to the right. Then it's a nice 2.1km ATCF walk to GZ. With all the recent rain there was a bit of water on the track here and there necessitating some careful steps. We tracked a few wallabies and a couple of cyclists - actually it was the same cyclist going in and coming out. Didn't see a soul and with a minimum of up and down we found ourselves at GZ within about 25 minutes. Some reported coordinate problems didn't worry us as we found it in the likely spot within minutes. Signed the log but made no swaps. Enjoyed the stroll back out - there's only a few junctions to worry about. On the way in stay right for the first two and left at the third. Easy.
Thanks!
Thanks!
My first attempt at finding a cache, and unfortunately no luck. The GPS I was using was not the best for this purpose, and although the map and GPS both confirmed I was in the right place, I could not find either the cache, nor the markers.
Another walk I would have never seen, found it under 30 minutes from the car, geokidz did well.

2300 caches found! This ones been on my watch list for a long time now I can finally remove it! I've tried unsuccessfully to get to this one on at least one other occassion, that time I started at the Gardens on the corner but realised when 700 metres from GZ that I wasn't getting any closer without a serious incline bush bash, having my 8 year old son with me on that occassion made it a no go!
This time I'm pleased to say Open Street Maps actually worked for a change and we were soon on the right trail though I will say by trail this walk is a good 6 Km's return, though it is a very easy grade walk mostly flat with only 2 or 3 gentle up's and downs.....just as well too as I'd have had some serious complaints from my companions today I'm pretty sure.
The cache was quite close to the edge of the trail, which surprised me as the GPS wanted me 7 odd metres down in the bushes but Thanks to Deputy Dog for locating the cache!
We left no Trackables here as it has not been found in a very long time, I'd hate to have my Trackable sitting in a cache found so seldomly, shame to as it really is worth a look!
Thanks for bringing us here Awesome cache!

Can finally knock this one off the list. After a few attempts at finding the best entry point and a couple of wrong turns which took us to some lovely power line towers we continued on to find the cache easily enough.Great day for a bush walk. Thanks
Great walk out to the cache. Relatively easy find even though I agreed with one of the log entries that the coordinates given were slightly off and not so far into the bush. The 'yellow marker' is still intact - but you have to look for it.

Out for a spin on the mountain bike on one of my favourite tracks. Threw the GPS in my pocket this time so I could find where this one is after looking at it on the map numerous times.
We decided to pick this cache today as it was looking kind of lonely. Once we arrived at GZ, we located the cache within milliseconds... Took the Sudoku book and a giant fly - dropped TB Slow Mo and a package of bracelets.
Been a while since we've logged anything, so thought it was about time and this looked like a good excuse for a walk and to play with my new PDA.

Great fun! My first cache.
The spiderwebs were impressive, to say the least. I was going quite fast on a mountainbike. Ducking and weaving was of limited utility , so I resorted to yelling "HOOOYAHHH!" while riding straight through them.
Note - THe Hooyah needs to come BEFORE impact, and your mouth must be firmly closed during said impact.
This is in a national park, so don't go trampling the bush - you don't need to.

A very easy fire trail walk - the hardest thing was the dodging of the very many spider webs strung lurkingly across the way. Nice bush surrounds with abounding birdlife. We took the cat fridge magnet and left a sudoku book. We also picked up the Air TB.
I really enjoyed the walk to this one, total solitude even on a week-end. The listed co-ordinands lead me a stray so in the end I dumped the GPS and processed the spots where I would have hidden it and came up trumps. Thanks for taking me to such a peaceful spot.

Found at 7.45am, had been meaning to get this one for a while but had not had the time. The tracks must have been maintained in the last day or two in preperation for the fire season. Went to trash out a empty can, but after a bit of tense negotiation, I decided it might be better off putting it back in place as the resident ants were quite attached to their hi-tech Aluminum home. A great area, Took Travel bug on its journey, left nothing. Thanks for the cache guys.
I decided to start the walk in early to avoid the heat, which was just as well. Couldn't find the cache at the given coordinates and moved across to those quoted by other finders. This soon resulted in a quick find in a much easier location. End-to-end done in about 90 minutes.
This one's been in my sights for aaaaages. Opting not to take the MTB after all, KitPie and I set out today on foot. We took a wrong turn here and there, and got drenched after it started raining, but we got there. Cache is in fine condition, and the helper coords from previous finders were handy.

A very pleasant walk on a cool Sunday morning. Found it at 12:15pm after a bit of hunting around at GZ. The co-ords seemed a bit off, about 15m. Here's another set that would be worth averaging along with GIN51E's set: S33 41.781 E 151 11.064.

This is a lovely bushwalk on a bright winter's day. Easy terrain, and not a scrap of rubbish for the entire track. Mccardey scored! - at last - making it rabbi 2, mccardey 1.
Took poncho, left a little bracelet from Sorrento, Italy. (The cache seal is a bit iffy, so we left the smallest thing we had to ease the strain on it.) Thanks for a lovely walk, cache_angel!

Initial plan two kids and bikes
End plan, family, walking, yikes
Followed the ridge on top of the world
The smells and noises unfurled

The cache was found easily
The pickings a little measly
However, we enjoyed our little stay
The views and nature just took our breath away

A second attempt at this and finally located it. Pretty sure it is not in its original location. Very very wet today and not easy to keep the contents dry. Bush bashed in from Ruff and Tumble - not recommended - though clearly not the first to do so. Thanks for the cache IML84T
It felt like summer as c.j.b. and I headed down Ryland Track. I even heard the first cicada of the year, the earliest I've ever heard one (they usually only seem to start coming out in November.)
Found the cache fairly quickly. Swapped a large tube of sunscreen for a small box of fridge magnets and the Smiley TB.

Someone had noted in the logbook that they'd moved the cache to a place they thought was a better hiding spot.. It's now in a 'very obvious' landmark of sorts. ("You don't need to follow the cacher tracks.")
I left the "...and Here is My Handle" TB, however I hadn't recorded its number and hadn't logged its removal from the "Pitch Black" near Maitland. Oops.

Friday the 13th...Lots of storm clouds in the sky...Well thats a bad start for the day...3 options on this cache...follow the road to nowhere!!! or go straight through the middle. I chose option 1. Needless to say I was not sucessfull. Option 3 the actual path was elusive..Well thats where Fri 13th maybe had something to do with it.!!! I'll be baaack. More research needed.
ps..never got wet, those clouds were just teasing, again.

i was searching for info on Rylands Track on the web and a ku-ring-gai NP management plan from May 2002 said this
"The following management trails are no longer required for fire or other management operations and will be closed, stabilised and revegetated:Portuguese, Smiths Creek East, Ryland (part only near Mona Vale Road)and Nerang Trails and a number of small unnamed tracks radiating from the major trails."
i don't know it this is going to affect access to the cache at all or not.

Nice easy walk to this cache - should have used the bikes. The clue will help a lot if you see it before finding the cache. Dropped off Smiley TB and took Saddam Hussein TB.
This cache was looking kind of lonely. No visits in almost a year. Easy walk. Only 2Km on a regular dirt road. Have been leaving this cache to do with friends but was at a loose end today and decided what the hell. Ryland Riddle has the dubious honor of being my 100th cache find. Took Guitar Girl and left a pair of headphones. Left "Catch Me If You Can - Saddam Hussein" TB. I understand this TB may be well sought after so maybe this cache will get some traffic for a bit. Thanks Cache Angel if your still around.

A very enjoyable walk in, but there are times when I wish I had a mountain bike and this was one of them... Once I arrived at GZ, I located the cache within seconds... It looked like new and was full of good stuff...

Took a ride to find my first cache. Got down to where it was supposed to be and found the BINGO tag, but couldn't find the cache. My GPS was sending me in circles just off in the bush, but I still couldn't find it. Alas, my first cache is still to come...

An afternoon caching with Alternate Route. Great walk out along a lovely track, lots of wildflowers out everywhere, got to GZ and looked around without luck, looked through the logs and noticed Guru & Shaz's log and used their co-ords and sat us right at the cache.

The Day Of The Goannas - Part 1:
Thought I'd take the Loonicycle out for a spin today and this cache looked like a good option for a spin. Made my way to GZ after a brief detour down the wrong track and my first encounter with a goanna for today. It was good to be out in the bush after being stuck indoors all week. Found the cache after about 5 mins of searching. Was filling out the log when I heard another goanna moving through the bush.

Another spot you can ride to pretty easily but the walk was nice with all the flowers blooming and the birds singing. Oh what a great day and we found a cache as well.
Took a few minutes of looking around to find the track head, which was incorrectly marked on our GPS. After that, it was all down hill (literally!!)
Coords were a few metres off, but we had no probs finding (try .785/.065 if you get desperate).

This is quite a nice easy walk only ten minutes from my place. I wasn't aware that it was here. I'll be back just to get a little walk in away from the crowds. Took and left nothing from the cache.
Cache number 99 for Hounddog and SNIFTER. Made the trek to this stash just before some bad weather set in. The cache was quite easy to find and the walk a pleasant one. My GPS shows that there is a second, much older track that also leads to the cache so watch out and see if you can spot it.
