Couldnt find. Spent a while looking but no luck. Found a hidden flash light, and though that might be the tool referred too, but not.
We decided to try our luck here today but with 2 muggle fisherman and a massive swell on top of the high tide that made the structure sway we gave up and retreated back to the Geo Truck. Thanks Dromaniax for the cache we will return
The cache was checked today and is there to be found. We were fortunate as there was no-one else on the pier, so checking was a simple task.
I appreciate the good intentions of 'rhubarbroad' in bringing the situation regarding this cache to the attention of the geocaching community, however, the correct log in this situation is 'Owner Attention Requested.'Only use the 'Reviewer Attention Requested' log when the CO has not responded to a 'Owner Attention Requested' log or if there are serious problems with the cache or its location.###**As the logs indicate this cache may be missing, I am disabling it in the hope that the CO will attend to the situation promptly.**###
So sorry accidentally logged that I found it when I didnt find it I think %76 someone stole it please check up on the cache.
Looked for ages, could not find! Hasnt been found in a while, so not sure if its still there!
It was quite busy here when we arrived and thankfully a lot left soon after, but it was still busy with people fishing and just hanging out. We looked for a while but with so many people we couldn.t really search properly, although did the best we could in the time we spent.
We tried for this one, pretty busy her with 7 people hanging out and fish. We gave it a good 10 minutes and seared all we could get to.
Thank you Ship Spotting Dude ?? for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Found with sharkiefan.
Our plan of the day was the CITOs in Geelong and Point Lonsdale and to catch up with suss vulture and robmc to walk the Bollards Ad Labs and to grab the odd caches we come across.
Thanks for the hide n grab.
We got this one after the CITO was over.

A busy weekend of events, CITOs, and occasional caches.
Variable weather, but stayed dry most of the time.
Even though there were stacks of fishermen here, it didn't matter as we were here to collect the cache for archiving.
However some one had already pinched it!
Logged with permission from the CO.
Thanks, Robmc.

Always a good day when out caching and finding them. Thank you!!

Too many people about to do this search justice… fishing mess everywhere didn’t encourage me! Will be back!
New container place. Hopefully, this one lasts a little longer. If not may need to archive
Unfortunately muggled again. Working on a way to avoid the pesky muggle who is collecting bisons.

Found where it should have been. Contacted CO to check.
Yes,it’s gone missing again. So sad that my blue face is still blue not a smiling yellow one.
Waiting for approval to log a find with permission

Wow! Thanks..
Finally can log this with permission, as a find. A yellow face pops up on the map now and my smile is broad.. it really did take some searching and determination from me.
All I can say is it is very, very clever and well deserving of a FP for its cheekiness.
We did see some really big ships heading through the Rip in our visits there.
Thanks Ship Spotting Dude for the fun.

I decided to do a road trip along the Great Ocean Road this week. It’s been a long time since I travelled along this area and it was certainly before I was into caching! Before starting, I teamed up with OzHockeyChick for the day to finally finish some grave hunting in Geelong and tick off some LGA caches in Queenscliff.
We decided to tempt fate having already failed at one pier challenge today. In the end it took a PAF to help locate this one in a spot I had already looked but had not noticed the sneaky hide.
Thanks Darth Briji for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Having not a lot of luck with piers lately, we decided to give this one a go. The ordinary weather today resulted in no fisher-persons, and very few tourists which meant we had plenty of opportunity to search before (after a paf) RoamingHowie eventually put his hand on the prize.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Darth Briji

Well I have been trying to get this smiley face for a long time in fact years.
This time I had the pier to myself because of the weather, so windy.
I had searched many times every part of this structure looking for something ????
This time I still almost gave up even with a decent nudge as to where it was hidden.
I must say I got great satisfaction in locating this marvelous hide, one of the trickest I have ever come across. Sensitive fingers are a must.
Thanks for placing this hide and creating a fantastic challenge for us.
This is getting a big FAV from me.

The tide was low and the weather was perfect for an evening/night cache. A quick message to my mate Dromaniax to see if they were up for a cache and we soon had a plan in place
Arrived at GZ were we had to dodge fisherman, the fisheries, and people taking photos. Everyone was so distracted it helped get the log signed.
It was such a beautiful night!! Thanks for the cache

Third go at this one, still nothing. Was able to have a really good look with no one around.
Thx for the cache!
Spending the weekend at Barwon Heads while we can all travel!
Lovely spot and heaps to see here

Took a walk in the strong wind to see if this was truly gone and it sure looks to be that way. Great views though.
Hi geopeople,
We spent 15 minutes searching but unfortunately weren’t able to locate the cache

Will get out and sort hopefully this month. Maybe a new hide will be in order with a much higher rating
Hi Darth Briji,
This cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed as well as to remove it from search listings.
**Please note that caches disabled during the current COVID19 crisis you will be given some extra time to react as we recognise that CO's can't just pop out and fix the issue,** Caches where the cache owner does not currently feel safe to maintain will not be archived.
Should you feel it safe for you to maintain and address this cache now, AND your regional Health and Governmental authorities allow it, please feel free to do so. Alternatively, what you need to do is place a Write Note log indicating a date when you you expect you might be able to attend to the issue/s.
**When I next check on the cache, if there is no acknowledgment from the CO as request above, the cache will most likely be de-listed (Archived).**

Today we were going to be going for a bike ride but with the showers here and there we got scared off so headed down to Geelong and Point Lonsdale instead for a drive.
We ended up getting 7 different types of cache today even without any events which was surprising.
During a walk around this whole area and with a couple of fisherman present we still managed to look almost everywhere but couldn't find what we needed.
Thanks Ship Spotting Dude for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Despite looking in the many possible spots, the geo Mum in law and I had no luck on this howling afternoon!
I’ve been out to the end of this pier on numerous occasions but always been frustrated by either fishermen there until the tide turns or longer or a myriad of tourists. Today a couple of fisher folk were clear of the side I needed to explore but then invaded MY side before my search was co plate. I retreated and PAF so I could make a focussed grab while the coast was clear. Success. A favourite point for this clever hide TFTC Ship Spotting Dude
We attempted to do this cache yesterday but there were far to many local fishermen on the jetty. This morning there was not a soul on the jetty but ourselves. It was not long before we found the well placed cache. SL TFTC
I was fortunate enough to have the whole pier to myself but just didn't have any luck. I guess I could've used my hands a bit more in my search but I wouldn't do it without gloves because it's not the cleanest area. I will be back and try another day, thanks anyway!
One an extremely cold and windy Saturday night when a job brought me to the area I thought surely there wouldn't be any fisherman out here. every other time I have tried to grab this one the pier was always swarming with people. Tonight I had the place to myself. In the darkness I couldn't see out to see but I could hear that it would have been really rough which wasn't a surprise considering the extreme wind that blowing.
After a brief search I found the little blighter and was finally able to get my name in the log book.
Thank you Darth Briji for the cache

Came down to the pier mainly to take photos of ships in the rough conditions. Had a bit of a look, but wind, rain and watchers on the shore limited how actively I could search.
I'll be back another day when the swell is big

Found with LetThemEatCache (which will become our joint geocaching name once I retire this membership). We searched for this one for maybe 20mins, before the sun slipped behind the lighthouse (see LetThemEatCache's photo) & made for a more difficult search. We were in the area for our anniversary & just loved it here, so we will return. If not just to turn this frown upside down (or is that downside up?). Thanks anyways.
So disappointed not to find this one. We had the (almost) perfect scenario; only one fisherman, no one else about, windy, chilly & raining & right on dusk so not expecting any other muggles to arrive any time soon. This all gave us plenty of time to search high & low (fisherman more interested in his lure than us), but nope, still couldn't place our hands on the hide. We'll go away & think (& prob PAF), and when it's a bit warmer will swing this way. We'll keep a watch on this one. Next time!
Found while holidaying in Victoria. It was mighty cold and windy out here. TFTC.
This took quite a bit of looking, fortunately the fishing activity was centred on the other side of the shelter. The log was only a few scraps of paper, so we left a new one as well. Thanks for the cache.
We'd driven down to Point Lonsdale to 'find' another Victorian Premier for the 'Victoria's Premier Challenge' Wherigo and since we'd never actually been in the area, we drove down to look at the lighthouse and the Heads while we were here. A geocache at the end of the pier was a good enough reason to walk out to the end despite the remarkably strong wind.
While M engaged the fishermen in conversation on one side of the shelter, I climbed up on the other and eventually spotted the cache. As I listened to the 'Caught anything?" conversation (they hadn't), I carefully reached out and extracted this little fella and soon had the log out and was signing it when M came back around the shelter.
Once that was done, M went back around again, to distract the muggles again and I carefully, and hopefully stealthily, returned the cache to its' home. I soon joined in the conversation which had progressed to the point that we now know they were immigration lawyers and Docklands is a cheaper place to live than Sydney! Nobody gave any hint that they'd seen my stealthy moves and we eventually bid them goodbye and strolled back to our car.
Thanks.

After looking around and avoiding the many muggles for a bit, the cache was finally found. Then the cache was signed and returned without being seen. All in good condition. TFTC
Wish I could say quick find, but that would be a lie!! It’s a cold night, we spent about 45 mins searching (luckily it only felt like 20 lol). I’ve touched things I would have happily gone through life never touching - but we do these things for a smiley. At the point of giving up, then a quick msg sent to co for a teeny hint the cache was soon in hand. Tftc and a fp for the entertainment value it has provided!
So we looked, looked, read logs, touched, looked, read more logs, looked, played with the wash pump, sang sea shanties, looked, (40ish minutes elapse), paf who happens to be co. Come to the realization that we have spent 40 minutes touching the wrong spot (story of my life). Im giving this a fav point as we had a few laughs along the way and searching for caches in the dark reminds me of some of the great times l had looking for caches in the dark when l first started caching bringing back some great memories.
Thanks Chris for bring me and many of cachers back to a lovely spot.

We are staying in Ocean Grove for a week and today decided to head to Point Lonsdale. We were doing the Decaying Defences whereigo and then any other caches within the vicinity. JMelb stopped to take some photos under the pier and then we headed along to this cache. There was no-one on our side of the shelter to begin with however a fisherman came around to his bicycle parked there and closed his tackle box and I felt he was nervous of us being there, what were we doing, were we going to steal his stuff, so I decided to tell him about geocaching and showed him the app. GMelb found the cache shortly after and he was fascinated that these things are hidden all over the world lol

Had a quick look for this one but with too many people fishing I have left it for another time.
Was only able to have a quick look and couldn’t find it. There were too many muggles even this late so not worth continuing to look for.
A few fishermen in residence and one muggle quietly sitting and taking in the view nearby. With a little stealth the cache was extracted, SL at 4.40pm and replaced without anyone nearby being aware. Even spotted a couple of ships! #5706 TFTC Ship Spotting Dude
