Logs
Searching around at GZ, the cache was soon located. Resting on the bench while signing the log before returning it to its place.
Find #: 3,693Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Pleasant spring morningCache condition: GoodI had already found my "last cache for the day", but I was passing y'know? An easy find once at GZ, glad you could help RIS all those years ago (even an FTF!) TNLNSL TFTC
Yep the obvious was too obvious! Quick find once we put the caching cap on. Tftc
We are on another short (three day) caching holiday in North Western Sydney, staying for two nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Holidays Avina BIG4 Holiday Park at Vineyard. Planning on exploring the suburbs of Lalor Park, Kings Park, Marayong, Glenwood, The Ponds, Rouse Hill, Scheyville, Agnes Banks, Yarramundi, Hawkesbury Heights, and Castlereagh. Hoping to collect some more previously solved Mystery/Puzzle caches, complete some more Adventure Labs and SideTracked caches, and accumulate some more "units of fuel" for the "Cosmic Quest" souvenir challenge with a view to scoring the 100 point Ultra fuel souvenir. Our final day will have us going via Nurragingy Reserve at Doonside, for some more caching and a visit to the Nurragingy Miniature Railway, before taking the M7 & M2 Motorways back to home. Photos will be uploaded to logs on our return to home base.Today (day 3) we started the day with a ladder climb cache at Rouse Hill and then headed over to Nurragingy Reserve at Doonside for a visit to the Nurragingy Miniature Railway, followed by a nearby five stage Adventure Lab and associated AL Bonus cache, then a circuit walk around the northern end of Nurragingy Reserve between Richmond Road and the M7 Motorway. Ended our day with a previously solved Mystery/Puzzle cache and a Traditional cache in Melrose Park at Quakers Hill, before hopping onto the M7 Motorway and heading homeward. This was the 11th of 20 finds for the day (day 3), and 47th of 56 finds for the holiday. This one was next, on our circuit walk (clockwise) around the northern end of Nurragingy Reserve, and it took a bit longer to find than the previous one. We were initially searching the wrong hint item to no avail, but then refocused and soon had CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. While we were signing the log a friendly horse came over to say hello at the paddock fence. TFTC dkmacca.Find #7030
After work, lets run some innings over here in Western Sydney Parklands. An easy find here, inching my way towards a big milestone next week. Last of my fifteen geofinds today. TFTC dkmacca
Nice quick find to end today's caching! Thanks for the trail, it's been fun and challenging. Will be coming back to finish off the rest later
#13632 10:30A Sunday driving running errands and picking up a few caches along the way.Revenge from a DNF 2 years ago. An easy find.TFTC
TFTCWas almost put off my the previous DNFs but thought I would give it a go anyway. Ended up finding it on the ground so hung back up in tree with matching camo where it looks like it fell from.
# 6120 decided to stop here on the way home from work. A quick find was made and made use of the item in the hint
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache dkmacca

I'm currently living outside this LGA and can't maintain these Caches while in lockdown. I will enable once I can get back into the area for maintenance.

Our one DNF if the day. GPS kept telling us to look at the electric fence. We spent a while looking there and at some other spots, but made no find today. Maybe next time. Thanks for the fun!
Great day of caching near the Hawkesbury River. Started in Ebenezer with the AL, unfortunately very unsuccessful as the location service on my phone was struggling and could not fix on the wp's I needed. Luckily I also made a good plan for other caches so the day turned out productive. Weather was really good, about 20 with a little breeze and nice and sunny. After finishing up in Windsor I had time left and went for a bike ride in this nice reserve!

A big stretch for little Brew. Got it then had reach to get log out. Yes. Signed and replaced. TFTC
Passing through this afternoon with time on my hands, I diverted into this area when my geo-map suggested I could grab a few caches by doing so.
Thanks to good coords, I was able to spot the tell tale signs of a cache pretty quickly and soon had the bison in hand. All good here, except that the attachment device has given way.
Thanks for the smiley dkmacca. It's interesting that 6 years on from you hiding this tribute cache, ris768's streak is still ongoing.

I need to assess any damage to this cache due to the recent flooding.

Out today for a few local ones that I missed or have gone down since I was out this way last. 1st for the day. TFTC
Taking the lazy approach to this cache did not initially pay off but did show us the way and place it could be found. Look out for the pats!!
Nice one. Took a minute or two in the most logical spot once the GPS settled down. TFTC.
Two years of streaking - amazing, and she's still going!
I managed 500 days then stopped, well just for one day so I didn't have to find a cache if life intervened. Now I'm onto a different type of streak where I can't do the same cache type two days in a row. That sent me out here to Western Sydney Parklands for today's type.
I've been here before but for a different hobby. Its a good area. I know the person who is responsible for keeping this corridor of land as parklands for Sydney, and for improving the facilities here.
The cache - well I was lucky there were no dog walking muggles or cycling ones while I was here. It took a while but I had no reason to think the co-ords were out so persisted with my chosen area and eventually the cache revealed itself.
Yes, its a goody!
I'll give it a favourite point.

No find for us though geoniece was getting tired at this point so it wasn't a thorough search. We will be back one day to avenge all our DNFs!
TFTC with Pulloa. The bridge was flooded so hopefully won’t be an issue for others
Filling in a bit of time before catching up with my cousin, noted this parkland GZ seemed a lot closer to the road than expected. Made a quick stop and, once a pram pushing muggle passed, dived in for the sneaky hide.
After finding this cache we got out our hiking stove and boiled the billy for a cuppa, before continuing with our cycle trip. TFTC
Geobiking day around Western Sydney Parklands. Thanks dkmacca for this amazing series. 18 founds and 4 DNF.

Found at 14:43hrs. Have been here a number of times and just seemed to have cache blindness . This time though I stuck with it and located! I even touched the camo a few times before dismissing it as irrelevant . Finally can cross this one off! TFTC
Walked past this one a few times as the iPhone GPS jumped around but just let instinct take over and eventually had CIH. TFTC
School holiday caching with MR AWTYOW, the junior geo-gangsta and Dwight Shrute!
Time is ticking by and I still need 40+ finds before earning the last of the Hidden Creature souvenirs. Was originally planning to do the Richmond Rd trail but spotted this one and figured it would be a great day for a bike ride.
Just as I approached GZ, a muggle decided to take a seat and enjoy the beautiful day. Had a casual look and rode around nearby trying to wait him out. Unfortunately, I had more caches to find and didn't end up with enough time to return. Next time...

Walked passed this one on my way in this morning as a muggle was sitting opposite where I wanted to search. On the way back from the horizontal tree however the coast was clear for a search. Found and made my mark in the log before replacing as found. tftc
I can't compete with Ris but at 122 cache streak days I can say it's a challenge to streak but some how it does get easier. Keep streak mate!

With this caching space race being irresistible (I tried. I really did) some dkmacca caches were on the cards (they have favourites galore). This one took us a bit longer to find than it should have thanks to a heap of natural camo
Despite the predicted heat today, we made our way out to Western Sydney Parklands for a day of geocaching. We laughed at Ajslandscaping log of August 2017. But so true. Clever camo especially with the garden growing in. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Quick little cache on the way home from work. Slight detour from my standard route home, but wanted to continue my streak.

Finally a cooler day and an opportunity to do some caching. I decided it was time to head west from the east to tackle the dkmacca caches in Western Sydney Parklands as I have been told his caches were very clever and unique. I managed to tackle sixteen caches and found seven. Unfortunately the ones I found were bisons and nanos so I am yet to see any of his unique caches.
After poking around unsuccessfully I retired to the nearby seat and reread some previous logs and one gave me the clue I needed. I'm glad I had a walking stick with me. TFTC dkmacca.
