A quick easy find while in the area. We'll be back another day to camp behind the pub in Harrisville, it looked alright.TFTC

Stopped at the Harrisville pub for a drink and loo break, then on to this one.
Found it okay with a little searching. Did have to tack a stick with me as the grass is betting a little longer. But cache is in good condition.
Thanks for placing this one here.

Had a visit with the sister-in-law who lives in Harrisville with this one. Used to come out to this winery many years ago when my parents were friends with the owners.

On our way home after xmas with the family at Redland Bay, then a couple of days with son at Bahrs Scrub. Needed a few to bump up my grid so decided to detour of the highway to Kalbar & Harrisville and grab a few caches.
We had stopped in town for a "wee" break, and had a chat to a local, then continued on our way. Up to Normanby Wines, and as I was crossing the dirt road, she muggled me! Told me all private property, I told her we would not be going on private property, so she told me to look out for snakes. Which I did. Thanks erinhaines. Nice detour`

I stopped in after leading a nice service just down the road at Harrisville Anglican today.
As I was wandering around, a man pulled up on his quad and asked me what I was up to.
I explained fully and he didn’t seem too happy about it all. I’m not sure if the cache is on his property or not but I guess it’s worth considering whether it should stay or if the CO would like to retrieve it.
Anyway, I found the cache just after he left and everything is fine inside so TFTC.
(I then made the error of driving further down the road to see if I could rejoin the main drag (as per Apple maps) but of course I should have obeyed the signs instead! I’ve sent in a message to Apple maps to encourage them to fix up their maps to show no through road.)

Found during a Day out with Cosmonaut97, 1MinnieMoo and KbreeAhh. Lots of laughs and antics throughout the day. Some of the finds were geocachews I have adopted and needed to find and maintain. Others were new to me and some maintenance was also done on any we found to be in need of some TLC.
15/1/22 Find #5264
Today was a day for girls to get out and have some fun!! Coz they just wanna, they just wanna, oh girls just wanna have fun! And that’s exactly what SaintsMadHouse, KBreeAHH, Cosmonaut95 and I were going to do. That and some maintenance for SaintsMadHouse and friends along the way.
As the one in the group with the long pants on, SaintsMadHouse went in through the thick long grass for the retrieval of this one. Signed as SMH+3 today.
Thanks for the cache fireboo40.

Found as part of SMH+3. First caching trip up here since I've moved back to Brisbane. TFTC.
On our way to the Scenic Rim Farm Box for lunch, we stopped here on the way. With hubby’s stomach rumbling louder than the dirt road underneath fortunately it was a quick find through the long grass and we were on our way! Beautiful area
Came out for day grabbing a few caches with Nikky083. Found pretty quickly in such a beautiful area. Tnln, sl, tftc
Today, I took the opportunity to conduct a few hikes in Main Range National Park, in attempting a few Tuesday high elevation geocaches. My first hike was the ascent to Spicers Peak, which was a mix of a track, footpad, and informal trails. Following lunch, I then made the hike up to Mount Mitchell. Finally, I called past Kalbar and Boonah whilst conducting the *Churches of the Scenic Rim !* Adventure Lab, before then heading home for the day. The threat of rain appeared to have diminished from the previous day, and the day's weather made it rather suitable to the hiking activities.
Initially, I had tried to access via Parcels Road, but there was a section that wasn't maintained, and after a warning sign, I saw that it just looked like a bogging waiting to happen. So rather risking saving a few minutes and then wasting a few hours in getting stuck, I decided to drive here via the nearby town of Harrisville.
It did take me a few minutes in finding this geocache, as the container lid didn’t look too inviting with a ️ warning icon. I soon realised it was actually the cache! The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and I took the TB for onwards travels. Thanks erinhaines for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Out for a drive in the country with Mr CuriousQuest, finding a few caches along our travels. A quick find and sign and we were on our way again. TFTC
Out today with Selva Girls. grabbing a few caches around the Scenic Rim . This was a nice quick find; log signed and cache returned as found. TFTC
After hatching a plan with chamad, Nikid1 and NayFee to visit Mt Blaine, we targeted a few caches as we headed towards home, this was on our target list.
With 4 pairs of eyes on the job, the cache was quickly spotted. Our names added to the log we continued our journey.
Thanks erinhaines for the cache.

Out and about with Nikid1, Willis007 and Chamad for a spot of caching around Ipswich and surrounds for the day.
I wouldn't call myself a wine drinker, but I do enjoy the occasional cider every now and then.
As soon as we arrived I wandered over to check out the nearby winery sign and took a couple of photos, then wandered over to GZ and just as I got there Chamad had the cache in hand.

Out for a day of caching with Willis007, Nayfee and Nikid1. I had a list of caches that where required for certain reasons of D/T, 360, age and just because we were passing. However, the main aim of the day was to walk Mt. Blain, grab the caches and the views at the top.
After our little walk adventure it was back to the list, however this one was not on the list but thanks to nikid1 we soon had to go that little bit further and get this one. We arrived and as the previous finder had a DNF we weren’t sure if it was going to be there. A quick look around and it was spied very quickly. Took a little bit of strength to open, with the log signed and cache replaced as found we were off to grab some more from our list.
Thank you for placing this one here, an interesting place and never expected to find a winery out here.

We have come out this was to see the amazing hay sculptures in Kalbar. Glad we can cache alone the way. We loved the container.
After finding Harrisville Resting this was the next stop... a slight detour as one road was closed.... but apart from that this was a quick find... I left the cache with a little more natural camo... and I’m still being buzzed by the RAAF...

The GPS made me think it was one tree further but Karicka spotted it and made the grab. Thanks for the cache
Don't try to enter from Parcells rd at the Harrisvill graveyard end which is where your car GPS will take you if you are coming from that direction...

I love this country! Such a nice place out here, didn't even know this place existed though! After naughtily bouncing my way down the closed road part - much to the delight of the kids we pulled up at the intersection. Whichever kids turn it was to help me find it jumped out and we were off.
No cars so they had free powers to search wherever they wanted to until I narrowed it down a bit for them. Once I told them it was near *that* tree, they were on it in an instant. Logged was signed and replaced, hidden with a bit more camo and we were off again.
Thanks for the cache erinhaines, it was in great condition and a beautiful place

My car navigation tried to take be down a road with a "Dead End" sign on it so I took an alternate route and that took me directly to the location.
The strong winds blowing today had blown rubbish bins into the middle of the road.
The cache was quickly found and in good condition.

this is my first time in Harrisville, i came for the Kokedama class (definitely recommend it, it was lots of fun). So I had to find a cache too, thanks for the nice spot
I was attending an event nearby and made a few finds at lunchtime. Thanks erinhaines.
Tried the Parcells road from the east. Yes it said No through road, but the map said differently.
We gave it a try but eventually signs, fences and observation put us off. so back we went ant took the long way around.
Thanks erinhaines for an easy find.

Cute little container. Found in no time once we parked the car. Thank you for bringing us here. Left some fairy dust. All is good with cache
We found a better way in.
What a cute little container.
Loved the smell of the Camphorlaurel tree close to cache too. I'm pretty sure I drove past here when the winery was a going concern.
Thanks for bringing us back out to this lovely area.

We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us.
Staying a few days in Kalbar, we have been tucked away and trying to stay high and dry with all the rain and flood alerts. This morning we took a rare opportunity to duck out to look for a few caches in the surrounding area whilst the sun was shining.
Little did we know that at 7pm we would be evacuated to higher ground.

We're from Holland and on family visit in Australië. Wanted to find some caches here and this was one of them. With the hint it was an easy find. Thanks for putting him there.
