This has us beat and the rain was on its way! Even our reliable junior geo-noser couldn’t guess a likely spot!!
We are archiving this cache as it has been replaced previously and unfortunately again it has gone missing.
Had a good look around -but unfortunately have to add my name to the list of dnf's...
Searched and searched and eventually gave up. Did with Wandering Dragons, Violet Butterfly, Astro Hunter and Mycro Man (and his brother).
Had an extensive search for this one here, with 4 other pairs of eyes. No luck today at all.
We set out for an afternoon walk along the river combined with a bit of geocaching. Mr 3Prettys was delighted with this find, so a favourite point from him! We found the cache easily enough, but the dog-walking and cycling muggles made it a bit tricky to replace! Good thing we had lots of time for our walk; we finally got it back into place and continued our stroll.
Wasn't having a good run so far with caches in the Manawatu. Moved on to this one and used geo nose as gps had me 6 meters away. Thanks for bringing us here
Quick find here but did find the cords to be 6 plus meters out probably acceptable ...but would think with multi smart phone takes it would be closer than that ...a novel cache and loved the character lol thanks for a great placement at Antz hill
Great find to start the day. River walk lovely early in the morning. Cache all good. TFTC
This cache was attempted as part of the Palmerston North leg of our "Road to 6,000" Extravaganza for 2016.
A quick find. 300 to go!

After a lengthy and unsuccessful search at my previous stop, I made up some of the lost time with an instant find here. I very much like the way this cache has been hidden.
#804 Found with JimmyNZ and DangerSAM snuggly tucked into his pram. Nice meander along the river and this cache marked the turn around point. Nice peaceful late afternoon stroll. Great cache container, thanks!
#3 My second actual cache. I didnt do much, except sit in my pram all rugged up. No whinging on this trip , and mum and dad didnt take too long to find the cache either.
#428 Out with Gr33nslime and DangerSAM for his first pram outing. Decided to take advantage of the sun and get some milage under young DangerSAMs belt. He behaved rather well and we strolled over to the cache location easy enough. Gr33nslime used her good geo-nose to locate the likely cache spot and we had the item in quick time. TFTC good spot to visit on a nice day.
On a bit of a roll on an after work dash (part timer who gets off at 2.30pm - how cool is that!). Time for another one. A quick find between dog walkers. Ants are amazing and quite cool to watch if one ever has enough time. Signed and hid exactly where found. TFTC
A super quick find after having no luck at the last cache. a lot of people use this track along here we have discovered Tftc
We are very happy to see some closer caches to us be active again as we are getting low on caches for our streak now! This was a nice easy find just as it started to get dark. Co-ordinates seemed perfect to us, but even without them our geo-nose lead us there anyway!! Thanks
decided to find this one today whilst on walk with my little 4 legged friend. found it pretty easily. very nicely hidden though
Went looking for this one today with StephW81 but gave up after about 10 minutes.
As we were leaving, we noticed logbook remnants on the path (photo attached)

I sent Miss 3yo looking for this special cache & altho she was standing right on GZ she couldn't find it. Showed her where the possible hide could be...she was impressed so gets a FP. TFTC
Love the cache. Found with help of 5 y.o. on a beautiful warm spring day as the kids cycled down the track.
First log post-flooding, all dry and in place. Thanks for the cache - Jacob (aged 7) enjoyed the container!
Mummy and I went past today to check on the cache. We couldn't find it. It had probably been washed away during the flooding. It is not there anymore, unfortunately.
not liking this at all...
This was taken approx 9.30am today from the top of the stop bank overlooking GZ

Cache has been underwater all weekend in the flooded river. Will have to see if it survived as soon as we are able to.
Might be a bit difficult to find today... will check this once the flood waters subside!!
Nice & quiet around GZ this afternoon, so no problem making the grab unspotted. Had an idea what to expect, but boy that sure was an impressive size!!!
Thanks for the cache placement Z1mbos

Followed the trail up to Antz Hill, those soldiers were no match for us as we seized the cache, cool container, we then left the colony unscathed, TFTC.
My very first cache! Found this a while ago but I forgot the date I found it on. Hope that this is the right date. A fun find looking forward to many more.
Quick find during my lunch break. I had seen a photo of part of the 'container' on a friend's FB wall, so had a fairly good idea what to expect. Even still, this is a good hide
Thanks for helping me tick off another dot day

Last morning in the mighty manawatu so that means get up early and collect a few more caches before the "Early Morning Coffee" Event.
Thanks for the quick trip over the stock bank and cache was spotted in the dark. Container was a nice change
Cache was quickly located in the dark and in great condition
thanks for the placement

Impressive to see the work that has been done to open up the riverside to recreation, making it more accessible.
Straightforward find on this one. Had a chuckle at the type of cache container. Cache in order; log signed, then safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Spotted the likely location pretty quickly and was impressed by another awesome hide. Thanks Z1mbos
Headed over to these caches after getting two at playgrounds. This area offered a nice walk by the river - always a joy. We quickly had the likely area sighted and AtomsNZ made the find.
T F Another Clever C Z1mbos.

Beautiful day and a fun find while dodging muggles. The appropriately named member of the party found this one
Cache maintenance day for us - log space running out so added a couple of extra sheets. Happy Hunting!
Nice quick find with our unique GPS uncle Andrew who beeped as we neared the location
Found when out for a walk after Christmas dinner. Not many muggles today so no problems fossicking around. Loved the camo. TFTC Z1mbos.
Lovely day and no muggles passed while I retrieved and returned this great catch
Ha! I didn't expect that... Nice hide, nice cache. Thanks for the smiley today.
I got a fright there for a second! My son Godispojken refused to get the cahce out, so I had to do it. Really cool cahce! TFTC
Horrible big ants here just like in Aust. Horrible day but that meant no one else around. so quick find.. Not so with Hit the deck I will try this again when there is better weather. thanks
Today was a dot-day so this cache seemed to be a good option while in the area. Soon spotted the cache at GZ as the bison was somewhat exposed, which meant that it was a quick grab between passing muggles. Waited for a break in the 'traffic' to be able to spend a minute re-hiding the cache a little better. TFTC.
Up for a caching expedition in the Manuwatu. Reached in for a quick retrieval, sure do grow them big in these parts TFTC Z1mbos
Had to wait a while for the many muggles to pass before finding fairly quickly - tftc
[green] After spending some time at Hit The Deck (for a change it did not take "longer than it should have", but it did take quite a while), it was quite nice to move over to here and a find simple cache. Or it would be if it wasn't for the muggle load. Took as long to find Antz as it did to find Hit The Deck. Waiting for muggles to leave. Once they were gone it was a fast find in the obvious spot.
Found during a few days holiday from being one step above an amoeba - an Air Force recruit.

Out for a morning bike ride along the riverside path before today's events in the Esplanade. Extracted the container rather gingerly! Good one Z1mbos - another quality cache along this trail, and fun too! Thanks.
after my trip to Australia I thought i had seen large Ants but they sure are large around here tftf
