After a few days on the Abel Tasman track we were in Motueka for the last night, so I took a 13km wander round the town. This one, was easy enough although maybe not allowed ???
I am pretty sure this type of hide isn't allowed any more ??? It is a high voltage box...

Quick and easy find during a Saturday morning walk in a light rain. Liked the cherry tree in bloom now. The cache is in a good order. Thank you!

I felt so suspicious, although I parked next to it and only had to hop off the car, grab, sign and replace - I felt like people were watching from the house next to it (hopefully they were not, or if yes, at least they knew what I was doing).
Another little hidden reserve which we would not have found but for geocaching.TFTC
Stunning, frosty morning. Was staying nearby the previous night so defrosted the windows while I collected this cache. TFTC.
All good on cache site, our local (Marlborough) power company has ordered all these cache sites out of bounds...such good places though, tftc.
Collecting new and missed caches in the area at the end of our weeks stay in Motueka.
No muggles for us this morning so nice easy find.

A quick park and grab with SJT_NZ early in New Year, thanks Stretch0 cache all safe and sound but log getting full and didn't have a spare with us.
From Holland, we are now on holiday in New Zealand. First we visit the south Island. We stay here on a Top10 groundcamp. Now we are geocaching in the surrounding. Thank you very much.
OK had a little problem getting here. I dont have a smart phone and cant read my GPS while driving. So I have to try and memorise the route. Got it wrong here and ended up back at the main road before finally getting to Adair for a quick snag and tag. Cheers
The idea was to walk Mt Arthur so visiting I-Site for a weather forecast. Cloud and 1 degree for the week and need for snow equipment if going higher than the hut. I think I will give that a miss. And thankfully I did as it looked like it was snowing later on today. So staying closer to the water where its warmer and dryer.
Its Labour Weekend so Zara, Toby and I are off to explore Tasman for a few days. Its Monday and Zara rests up this morning before we head home. Toby and I are out exploring around Motueka.

Another trip to Motueka and time to collect a few more caches. Quick find at GZ and no muggles seen in the endeavour. TFTC Stretch0.
Twenty-ninth and final find of the day with NZDi. It is Easter weekend and we have decided to take a break. Today we travelled to Motueka in preparation for a day trip on the Abel Tasman track. Tomorrow we get picked up from Marahau by shuttle and taken to Kaiteriteri, from there it is on a water taxi to Anchorage and we then make ourway back to Marahau, picking up caches along the way. And finally on Sunday we will head back home dropping in at the Mapua Easter Fair on the way.
Today wasn't supposed to be a big caching day, but some bright spark at GCHQ dreamt up the Planetary Pursuit which put paid to that. Fortunately, I have almost 100 solved but unfound puzzles, multis and challenges in the greater Nelson area, so it is time to put them to work.
This cache was not one of the solved puzzles so it was not worth the full 15 points for the Planetary Pursuit. However every little bit counts towards the end game and this added another five points to the tally. The feature at GZ is recognised as something that somehow attracts caches and a fellow cacher in Blenheim recently discovered they are called P.U.Bs (Public Utility Boxes).
I use these regularly for my own hides so it was no surprise when I laid my fingers on the cache in the first place I felt. It could be worse... I have discovered Paper Wasp nest the hard way searching for caches using the tactile method. Glad I don't cache in Australia.
A QEF PnG at GZ and a successful day with 275 Planetary Pursuit points.

Quick find while Jojo sat in the car. Hoping the people in the house across the way could not see us. TFTC Stretch0
Because of the earthquake we had to change our journey. We canceld our tour to Kaikoura and went earlier to Abel Tasman Park. We had a nice Cottage near the sea in Motueka. This morning was time for running at the beach and back to our Cottage. On my way I found this GC very quick without muggles in the near.

We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun. Thanks for placing the cache.
Staying with family after participating in the National Orienteering Champs at St Arnaud over Easter and time to do a little geocaching today. One of the smallest reserves we've visited but the GPS was all over the place - possibly due to the electric fence close by. Therefore, Mrs G used geo-sense and quickly found the cache. TFTC
Naja, so sehr ist der Ablageort aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht zu empfehlen.., Hauptsache gefunden:-), dfdc räuberhasen
Quick fine while staying in Riwaka with family for a few days. Thanks for the cache.
Just trying to squeeze in one more cache before calling it a night. This one was on the way back to our accommodation. A nice quick grab but I did manage to give the poor cows sleeping next to GZ a good scare. Thanks for the cache

Find #2451 while on a 5-day explore of the Tasman district. Best way to see a place is to go geocaching by cycling, so spent the afternoon finding some local caches and exploring the town. Quick find on a quiet street. SL TFTC
